Fanfiction.net has just become super toxic and I'm already dealing with a lot right now outside of everything else. So after a lot of careful deliberation, I think I've decided to permanently close this chapter of my life. I'm done here.

I am still writing and trying to improve, so for anybody that actually cares, I've moved fully over to AO3. I'll keep my old stuff up on here for people to either read or ignore, and just because you should always know where you came from.

To those making Fanfiction a toxic place: it's pretty shitty to tell someone that all the hard work they've put into something is pointless and dumb. You're the one who decided to read it; go read something else instead of putting someone down to make yourself feel better. Especially since most of the people who've left negative comments clearly have no idea how much work goes into writing, seeing as they've never put their own writing out there and are therefore just assholes. (Yes, I've looked into y'all.)
To those who actually try to offer constructive criticism: Thank you. Most people don't bother and just say your work is bad without saying why (see above). You're doing valuable work and I appreciate you so much for trying to help others improve themselves.
To those continuing to brave Fanfiction.net as a writer: I'm super proud of you for being able to do what I could not. Writing is my life and being told that the months of hard work I did was worthless and garbage was the final straw. I couldn't do it anymore. You are so much stronger and braver for continuing where I gave up. And if you've read this and decide to follow me away from Fanfiction, that's okay too. You don't deserve to be verbally abused by strangers. You are amazing and I love that you're trying to follow your passions. Find a writing platform that makes you feel comfortable in your own space. Find friends you can share it with. And show those assholes that they can't break you.

To Fanfiction Moderators: I would highly encourage you to do a little better, particularly with comments. Just because someone doesn't outright use slurs doesn't mean they don't still find a way to make words hurt. Most of these people aren't fellow writers, and many of them just use the guest feature to leave a comment they know is going to hurt someone. I know I'm not the only one who's left Fanfiction.net for this reason. I can imagine it's pretty difficult, considering how many people use this site, but for the sake of other writers, please.
