Hmmm. This is where I write about myself, correct? Okay...anime fan, a 24-year SCA veteran, ferret and cat slave;. I used to write quite a bit of Dr. Who fanfic years ago, and got a fair amount published (before the era of internet); I fell out of the habit, but have started back again. Favorite anime: lots. Detective Conan, Fullmetal Alchemist, Ushio & Tora, Yu-Gi-Oh! (aaargh; so ashamed), Detective Academy Q, Saiyuki, Bleach, Naruto, Yami No Matsui and so forth. Love lots of manga like XXXHolic, too, and Mushishi; mmmmm. Am attempting to learn Japanese, gods help me. Can't draw to save my life (wish I could) and I tend towards humongous chapters; I do my best to keep my horrible Southern drawl from entering into my fanfics, but it keeps trying... Oh yeah, and several of my friends find it really funny to throw plunnies at me whenever they can. You Know Who You Are Out There, Stop Trying To Hide.

Favorite fic things: Writers who THINK before they write fanfics; fics with insight that make ME think; fics that are funny enough to make me snort whatever I'm drinking out my nose; and fics that take my mind places it hasn't been before. And a little romance is never out of place (or a lot of hot, steamy, where'd-my-clothes-go,-oh-never-mind, for that matter, so long as it's in-character). Have no problems whatsoever with yaoi, het or yuri, just with shota or real noncon. Let's be reasonable adults here, okay? It may be fiction, but it still has to live inside my head.

Major fic dislikes: Bad grammar (a total turnoff); bad plots that don't go anywhere; stupid, pointless I'm-just-writing-this-to-stroke-my-ego,-hey-ain't-I-great,-I'm-PUBLISHED! fics (you've all seen them... blaaaaaagh!); and most of all, plagiarism. Plagiarists should all die evil deaths involving red-hot pokers, lemon juice, badgers and body-piercing. They really should. And I'd heat up the pokers and find the badgers.

The second book has been started and will be posted in much the same fashion. Where this story will go eventually, well... that'll be as much of a surprise to we two writers as it'll be to you. Have fun; we are.

(Oh, and one last thing: Windfall's still in the works. Haven't abandoned it, it's just on vacation.)

Update 10-4-2010: Hiya! Nightengale here. No, I don't have a FFN account; I just send Ysa dictation to post on hers and cowrite TT with her :) I'm glad that everyone's been enjoying Three Thieves! Thank you for reading and please keep having fun with it. We're beginning to write the start of Book Six, and we've just finished posting Book Four. There's a TON of story left to go, and it's gonna take you for a wild time til it's over!
