*Entry #83: The Final Battle
Well, it looks like things have gone smoothly after all. And it looks like all of Steven's problems are officially over. It's amazing how everything wrapped up so quickly. There's a lot to cover, so I'll start at the beginning. Through my spy drone, I watched how Steven and Connie managed to convince Blue and Yellow Diamond to let them go. They also convinced them to air their grievances to White Diamond. They admitted to her that her strict standards were stressing our not only them, but also every Gem on Homeworld. But instead of understanding, White Diamond decided to take matters into her own hands. She unleashed a very scary power onto the other two Diamonds: complete mind control. They were all puppets for her to control and speak through, which explains her Pearl. That's the bad news. The good news is, we got an unexpected return of Bismuth, Peridot, and Lapis Lazuli who had new designs that made them look epic in my opinion. During the fight, Steven dropped the unformed Crystal Gems and jumped to save them. he made an awesome discovery then: he could help them reform with fusion. He made Smokey Quartz in order to save Amethyst. He then fused with Pearl to make the new, more human version of Rainbow Quartz. And lastly, Steven fused with Garnet to make Sunstone (wonder if it's related to Moonstone). Sunstone was like a walking fireball with an inspiring personality. Lastly, in order to reach White Diamond, Steven, Garnet, Amethyst, and Pearl fused to become the very Gem from the history of Beach City: Obsidian. She was like a 30 foot behemoth made of lava rock. It was quite a sight to behold. Together, the four of them managed to slip into White Diamond's ship to confront the Diamond face to face. Once they made it into the ship, White Diamond completely took over the confrontation by completely taking over Amethyst, Garnet, and Pearl. After that, White Diamond made Steven unsure of himself by saying that he was never half-human but was actually Pink Diamond who even fooled herself with her childish antics. Obviously, this was untrue, but White Diamond believed in her own words. She even managed to pull Steven's Gem out of his stomach, which left Steven's human body very weak and drained. But as for the Gem, it seemed to have manifested an energy copy of Steven made of his powers. It was even impervious to White Diamond's ability confirming to her that Pink Diamond was gone and she was never coming back. The energy body reunited with Steven and fused back with him which greatly upset White Diamond. She then saw that even she wasn't flawless and released her control over everyone she brainwashed. Steven managed to convince her that she could be more than she was meant to be. It's quite amazing how much that little boy can change. And that's how the battle ended.
