I enjoy slash. Like everyone I have favorite pairings, but it doesn't have to be romance, friendship works just as well, sometimes even better. BUT it must be well written and well developed. They have to be written in a way that I can read and re-read the story, and not make my feel I lost IQ points, or wonder why there’s a really weepy girly pampered princess in a man’s body. I don't have many to spare, college steals most of it. I try to be open minded with pairings as long as they are written well, but there are some I can't read any more because of too many bad ones.

Smallville: I love Lex, and re-watching the seasons, except the last, I love him even more. Why is it that it's so unforgivable that Lex, who has many people lying to him because of his money or his father, tries to find out what his best friend Clark is lying about? But not Lana or Chloe. Heck, Chloe even used powers on his mother to reveal he was adopted and tried to use it on Clark. She works for Lionel at points. Yet Lex is not a real friend, because he doesn't accept his lies any more than his other friends will? And lets forget that Clark lets Lex be tortured so that he would forget the knowledge of Clark's secrets. Who’s a real friend...hmmm.

Naruto: I am in denial about the ending of Naruto. I feel cheated at the cop out. Honestly, they should have fleshed out the reason more; crushes don't equal love, but really saying Naruto's feelings that has driven him for years, is misplaced rivalry is a cop out. and that Hinata taught him love, as it seemed to state, is bull. How about his team mates who throw their bodies between him and death. Iruka who over came his pain to see Naruto instead of the fox. Kakashi who has gone through hell and has every sane reason to not want to let anyone else in, still caring and teaching. Jiriaya, Tsunade...the list of people who loved him and Naruto came to love as family is still a type of love. Before he was 12, I get it, he didn't know love. But after? Really, have Naruto maybe realize that he loves Sakura differently than he had as a child, or maybe, like Jiraya had loved Tsunade, he loves her but there is too much pain between them for them to ever be more than team mates and family.

Give Naruto and Hinata a chance to truly develop, if anyone's feelings were 'fake' or misunderstood, it should have been Hinata realizing that she hadn't really loved Naruto, not really because he had just been an ideal. But she didn't really love him, because she had hated herself and only saw one part of Naruto, his will to keep going. Have Hinata really realize she actually began to know the real Naruto and 'love him' when he changed Neji and came back after the years of absent, confident in himself and secure.

I still stand by: The more I watched Hinata, the more I despite Naruto/Hinata. And it's not because she's shy, but because she's crazy. She's a stalker; she spied on Naruto for years, never once revealing herself to him. And the idea that Naruto is dumb because he's doesn't notice, doesn't work. Hinata made sure that Naruto wouldn't know.

While he just wanted a friend and someone to believe in him, she spied on his private moments and placed him on an altar and did nothing. At least Sakura and Ino didn't hide their interest in Sasuke and he had a chance to get privacy; Naruto is unaware of her. Oh but Hinata luuuuves him, she doesn't know him or even care about him. If she did she would have befriended him, even in secret or at least spoke to him. The only time she actually shows does is the Chunin exam and then three years later, oh I love you. She loves his determination and will of fire.

I think Hinata is one of the more useful and powerful girls on the show, up there with Termari.

I just don't see how the pairing comes about beyond it being that:

“Hinata's been in love with you baka for years!”

And Naruto ends up going “really my Ramen, how did I not know her not talking to me and leaving my presence wasn't because she was like everyone else, but because she liked me! I mean so what if I never seen her except for class, and never talked to her beyond a few words, after the academy.”

“oh she was around idiot, hiding in the bushes.”

“really oh wow she must be lonely like I am, don't worry Hinata I'll date you. And you know what, I love you too now that I thought about you more than a few seconds without assuming you were weird.”

..yeah. If I'm going to read a Naruto/Hinata pairing I rather see development of actually talking and learning about each other, AND Naruto dealing with his crush on Sakura, then just shrugging and going I guess I don't like her anymore. [Sakura telling Naruto he never had a crush on her, he just wanted to beat Sasuke is not dealing with it!!! Urg, people do have crushes and grow out of them!]

Supernatural: Okay, I reject any season past season four of Supernatural and make my own. And even that is my own head canon. I can't take it anymore! I am a Sammy's girl, and I fell in love with the show, because it was about family. Well now it's about Dean and what happened to the Dean of previous seasons who would never hurt Sammy...and now beats him bloody, repeatedly? Where's the compassionate and kind Sam instead of well...yeah no.

And frankly Dean makes as many bad choices as Sam, yet only Sam is rebuked for it? Demon Dean! What? Why?????

SGA:I really don't understand why an health problem, that CAN kill you is just so funny. Oh, he's allergic to lemons, oh deadly allergic, well he works better under the fear of death. Well find just point an empty gun at his head, and let him believe it's loaded. It's the same thing. Oh he passed out from manly hunger, watch him eat, yeah, oh well who cares that if he doesn't eat enough, he could fall in a coma and die.

"And that's the only reason I'm willing to cut you any slack. But you, John Sheppard, you've called yourself the man's friend for more than two years now. I expected better than for you to mock him for a medical condition that has him in my infirmary after teasing him for taking the necessary steps to control it! What's next, making fun of a blind man because he uses a funny cane and bumps into things?"

A general note for my stories, while I enjoy canon, please don't expect my stories to remain in line with canon, unless otherwise stated. If canon was enough, fanfiction wouldn't be so popular.
