Saiyan of 3-E
The sky was nice and clear, and the sun was shining brightly, as all the students of Class-3E were making their way to their seats, though unless some of them were flunking in basic addition and subtraction, there was one seat extra in the classroom today.
"Uh, what's up with the extra seat?" A young girl with mint green hair, questioned, pointing to the extra desk in the back.
"Apparently, one of our classmates, who's been sick in the hospital for the last year, due to cancer, is finally coming back to class today. At least that's what I heard." A boy with silver hair, and wearing the male uniform, exclaimed.
"No way dude; I heard it was some hottie, who was under house arrest and still did her studies from home. She's supposed to be one of those early developing girls, with ginormous knockers." A boy with a buzz cut, exclaimed a perverted look on his face.
"Would you shut up about your perverted delusions Okajima?" A girl with blonde hair, questioned. "I actually have the lowdown on this mysterious classmate of ours. It is a girl, but nobody really knows why she's been doing her studies off campus for the past year. Word is, every year, during Midterms and Finals, she always takes the top spot in all subjects. She's a genius, but her hot temper, is what landed her in E-Class."
"Nakamura, you'd better not be pulling my leg." Okajima said getting in her face. "Do you know her sizes at least?"
"Get away from me you creep. No, I don't know her sizes, I just know the reason why she was sent to E-Class. Her temper is one with a short fuse, and she's got a thing about bullies. She'll even go so far, as to physically assault them if they get caught in her crosshairs." Nakamura said, pushing Okajima away from her. "An' that's the same reason why she got sent to E-Class. She beat up a bully, real bad. The incident was even in the school paper at the end of first year. She hospitalized him for picking on some kids still in elementary school."
"Well, at the very least, we should greet her with open arms, show her she's among friends." Kaede said.
"Don't go giving us that crap." A brutish young man said. "The second she gets here, I'm sure she'll learn her place under my boot real soon."
"There he goes, Terasaka is at it again." A student with dark hair, and red sweatbands on his wrists sighed, just as the doors slid open.
"For real, I can take you there sometime if you want." A young boy with blue hair, and the figure of a flat chested girl, said walking into the class, with another new student.
"Really? I'd love to hit an ice cream shop, it's been over a year, since I've actually had any ice cream." A new voice said, as she came walking in behind him. To all the student's surprise, the girl was around Terasaka's height, black hair with an electric violet tint, dark violet lips, light violet cats-eye eyeshadow, and a red nova-star on her forehead. Her nails were long and pointed like claws, with electric violet nail polish, and she had sparkling emerald green eyes. But instead of wearing the standard skirt for the female uniform, she wore a pair of pants, that seemed to fit her like a pair of skinny jeans, and showed off the curve of her lower half, while the shirt and blazer did little to hide the size of her chest.
"Whoa, dude check her out, she's a total babe." Okajima said, drool running down the side of his mouth.
"Calm down, otherwise she's gonna kick your ass. Did you not hear what Nakamura just explained?" A girl with ginger orange hair and green eyes exclaimed.
"Oh good morning everyone, my name is Kali Karasuma." The new girl smiled. "I'm excited to be here in E-Class, and learning with you all."
"Uh Nagisa, how exactly did you and the new girl meet?" Nakamura questioned.
"Oh, we met on the way to school. She actually lives in the same apartment complex as me. In fact she's my next door neighbor." Nagisa explained.
"Oh, well that's cool." Kaede said. "It's nice to meet you Karasuma."
"Please, Karasuma is too manly, just call me Kali." She smiled as she took the seat in front of Nagisa's. "I am a natural at hand to hand combat, and a genius at other things though."
"Like academics? Keep bragging, that'll help you make friends in this class." Terasaka said.
"Actually, I was gonna say board games like chess." Kali said. "Don't go jumping to conclusions, just because you're a brute."
"Now who's jumping to conclusions?" Terasaka said.
"I'm not jumping to conclusions. Your posture, the way you talk, that look in your eye, the way you dress, all indicate you're a brute, who likes to put those weaker than himself, under his boot. Plus, I heard your little comment about, putting me in my place, I believe you put it, when I was still in the hall." Kali explained.
"Whoa, she's good." Nakamura said, before the bell rang. "First day of the new year, and she's already got a beat on Terasaka and his behavior."
Just as everyone took their seats, there was a gust of wind, as a large yellow tentacle creature, came into the classroom, looking sharply dressed like a teacher. All the students were confused, but their attention was drawn to the classroom door, as three suits came in, all carrying, or wheeling in specific, boxed equipment.
"Hello, how are you?" The yellow octopus said, a never moving smile on his face, standing behind the teacher's desk. "So, I'm the one who blew up the moon."
"Huh?" Was most of the class's reaction, but not Kali's, she had her eyes fixed on him, like she recognized him from somewhere, or vice versa, but she couldn't figure out where.
"Next year, I intend to do the same to planet earth. But never mind that now, I'm gonna be your new teacher, isn't that exciting?"
'There are so many things wrong with this picture.' Again, most of the class, minus Kali, thought.
"Uh…" One of the suits said, gaining their attention. Again, Kali had a look on her face that said she recognized him from somewhere. "I'm Karasuma, I'm from the Ministry of Defense. What I'm about to tell you, we in the business call, classified. Aw hell, I'll just come right out with it. I'm gonna need you to kill this thing, for the sake of mankind."
"Excuse me." One of the students said. "No offense, but is this a joke, because if that's the alien who blew up the moon then…"
"Apbapbapbapbapbapbap, I am an earthling born and bred, thank you very much." The tentacle creature said.
"I'm not at liberty to discuss the details at this juncture." Karasuma said. "I'll just say he's telling the truth. His threat, is all too real. As of this coming March, he will obliterate the earth. Apart from you, the only people who know this are world leaders. If word of this leaks out to the public, we'll have wide spread panic on our hands. He must be terminated soon, and with extreme prejudice. Which means that you, must become, assassins."
As Karasuma explained the details about the creature they were supposed to kill, Kali realized where she'd seen the creature before.
"I'm sorry to interrupt your little speech Mr. Karasuma, but I do believe I need to take role-call right now. So you may finish once we've accounted all students." The tentacle creature said, taking the roll-book, and opening it up. "Oh, what have we here? It seems there's someone else in this classroom, with the last name Karasuma."
The agent's eyes widened in shock, not expecting that. Kali smiled and stood up gaining their attention.
"That would be me. Kali Karasuma, first time back in about a year." She smiled, before turning to look at the agent. "What's up Uncle Tadaomi?"
Karasuma looked at Kali, not believing it was his niece, until he recognized her smile, the very one, he's missed for the past year. But it came as a shock to everyone when he grabbed Kali's arm, and began pulling her towards the door with a serious expression etched onto his face.
"You're coming with me for a phone call to your parent's young lady." Karasuma said, sounding rather serious as he pulled her to the door. "You have no idea how worried they've been since you ran off and…"
"That's what they told you?" Kali questioned, pulling her arm back. "That I ran away?"
"What else could have explained you going AWOL for the past year?" Karasuma questioned.
"I'm sorry you two, but you're causing a scene in the middle of the classroom, maybe if you just took a breath to calm down you could…"
The tentacle creature stopped as Kali took the rubber blade Karasuma had been using, and somehow managed to slice off his arm, after taking it by surprise.
"There, I managed to land the first strike." Kali said, as the tentacle creature moved back, allowing for his arm to regenerate. "I'm going out to the PE grounds."
Kali grabbed her bag, and shouldered her way past Karasuma, huffing as he was stunned she'd managed to do what he failed to, mere moments ago. After the door shut itself, with Kali having ignored her new teacher's warnings not to leave, there was a tension in the air, that someone needed to break, and that someone, sat right beside Kaede.
"Um, Agent Karasuma sir?" Nagisa asked, raising his hand. "How exactly do you know Kali and her family?"
Karasuma sighed, realizing he should have expected this after the scene he just caused in front of the entire class.
"Because I'm part of her family." He said. "Her father, is my elder brother. I'm only 28, but there's quite the sizable gap in age between me and my big brother. In simpler words, I'm her uncle."
"So then, what was that little argument all about?" Kaede asked.
"Little over thirteen months ago, my brother called me, saying Kali had ran away, gone missing without leaving a trace of where she went, or what she was doing. He and his wife sounded panicked, and concerned. Every time I went to check up on them, they'd look devastated, and ragged. But given how Kali reacted to me mentioning how worried they were, it would seem there's something I'm missing, keeping me from seeing the full picture."
"Indeed you are right Karasuma." The tentacle creature said. "Didn't you hear the pain in her voice, the look of betrayal in her eyes? That should have told you something was up, instead of just jumping to conclusions straight out. Go talk to her, I'm sure she's needing some comfort from a family member who actually cares for her wellbeing, right now."
"I don't think she wants to see me at the moment. It's not a good idea. Whatever she's going through, I'm sure it's because she's just a normal teenager going through what remains of puberty. But I will find out how she was able to wield that knife so expertly." Karasuma said. "Now class, back to our discussion of becoming assassins."
~Sometime After School and Assassin Training~
"Damn it mom and dad, you suck. You even have Uncle Tadaomi wrapped around your manipulative little fingers." Kali growled, making her way up the stairs to her apartment in a huff. Fiddling with her keys, Kali was about to unlock her door, when she saw it was already open by a crack.
Placing her keys between her fingers, Kali cautiously pushed the door open, and looked around, hesitantly for any signs of the intruder. There was a scent she recognized, one that belonged to one of the people who sold her to the labs for experiments.
The apartment was ransacked, and it looked like nothing was taken, but there was something that she noticed. She could tell by the scent, her father was looking for something, and to her relief, he wasn't there anymore, though a part of her wished he was, just to teach him a lesson on how wrong what he did to her, actually was. The question though, was how he knew she was there in the first place. The only person she'd even given her new address to was the school, and her Uncle after she'd calmed down from her initial bout of anger before he left the campus.
"Wait… Damn it." Kali cursed, realizing something. "Uncle Tadaomi must have told them he found me, and gave them my new address."
Kali groaned, before going to the closet in the hall, and found the inside of it was trashed to, with the doors wide open. Thankfully, her father hadn't found the hiding place she installed in the closet the day before.
Pushing her right hand on the back wall of the closet, Kali heard a click, and slid it open, before it showed the money she'd stolen from her parents safe and bank accounts, was still where she'd left it. They'd done a lot to her in the past, and the worst of it was when she was sold into being a lab rat for the government funded scientists. But breaking and entering into her home, her sanctuary of peace, the place she's felt the safest her entire life, drew the line.
"Say your prayers assholes. You've awoken the sleeping Lioness." Kali growled.
~Later That Night~
Kali calmly sat in her cleaned up apartment, dressed in a pair of skinny jeans, ripped at the knees, a sports bra, a thin jacket she didn't mind throwing away if needed, and steel toed biker girl boots, with knife holsters strapped to her legs, and a pair of gloves on her hands. She'd spent the rest of the day, undoing the damage done by her father tearing up the place, and surprisingly, hardly anything had been destroyed. She didn't bother with calling the police and reporting the break in, they'd only get in the way. She was gonna handle this personally, without any distractions or speed bumps. Her eyes were closed in deep meditation, and there was a half empty glass of Johnny Walker Whisky, and the bottle of alcohol, on the coffee table in front of her. One perk to having a body like hers, no ID Check needed when buying booze.
When the clock struck midnight, Kali opened her eyes and quickly downed the last of the alcohol, feeling a bit of a buzz, before she left the apartment, and using her Parkour skills, to climb to the roof of the complex, before jumping off it like an Olympic swimmer off a high dive, before she went flying through the air, straight for the hellhole she'd been raised in before being sold to the laboratories.
~Karasuma Residence~
"Where could that little whore have hidden our money?" Kali's father, Akuma, questioned, pacing around the room. "It wasn't anywhere within the apartment, so where could she have put it?"
"Are you sure you searched all over the place?" Kali's mother, Akuryō, inquired sitting on the couch.
"Of course I did. It wasn't there." Akuma said. "This is bad. The money for the mortgage is supposed to come out in two days, and if it's not there, we'll be kicked onto the streets."
"Well, did you think of beating the snot out of Kali, and force her to give the money back?" Akuryō asked.
"I ransacked the place when she was at school. If I had gone to the campus to beat the shit out of her, then I would have gotten arrested, and what we've done to her over the years, would have been brought to light." Akuma said.
"Well, it's almost two in the morning, I think now would be the perfect time to go and get our money back from her. She's probably scared shitless, afraid of whoever ransacked the apartment, coming back and finishing her off." Akuryō said.
"You're right. Now's the perfect time to strike." Akuma said.
"I couldn't agree more."
Akuma turned around as Akuryō jumped to her feet.
"Who said that?" Akuma questioned, twisting about to try and find who spoke.
"Show yourself. Who are you?" Akuryō questioned, before the lights went out, plunging them into the dark.
The lights flipped back on, and Akuma looked around, just before he spotted someone sitting on the couch, with Akuryō following suit.
"Who are you, and what are you doing here in our house?" Akuryō questioned as Akuma went to his closet and pulled out a shotgun, and aimed it at her.
"Oh please, like that's actually gonna do anything against me." Kali sighed, drinking a can of beer she pulled from her parent's fridge. "Though I'm a bit hurt you don't recognize me. Then again, my looks have changed drastically since you last saw me. Now when was that again? Oh right, now I remember, it was when the lab's muscle came into this house, and dragged me out of my bed, to the black van parked out front."
"Kali?" Akuryō questioned.
"Ding-ding-ding. Give the hooker a prize." Kali said, finishing the can of beer. "Gotta say, I'm really liking the taste of alcohol."
"What the hell are you doing out of the facility? Where's our money?" Akuma asked, cocking the gun.
"As I said, that gun isn't gonna be any use against me." Kali exclaimed, holding up two, unused shotgun rounds. "As for the answers to your questions… The facility was destroyed by one of their other test subjects. In the midst of the calm after the storm, I escaped. As for the money, well… considering how you got it, I'm entitled to the largest portion of it."
"You were a disgrace to this household and the family. You wound up in E-Class at your middle school. Do you realize, that even with your grades, high schools and colleges won't even touch your transcripts?" Akuma said.
"An' you didn't think to tell me I wasn't even human?" Kali asked looking at them with a serious glare in her eyes.
"We should have just turned you into the government the moment we found you." Akuryō said.
"Maybe you should have." Kali said, crushing the can in her hand. "But I'm not here for small talk." She exclaimed, getting up from the couch. "I'm here for payback."
"You've already taken everything we have. You've taken our money, our futures, and our lively hoods." Akuma said.
"I wasn't the one who made you quit, as soon as you got the money from the labs. So none of those things are my fault." Kali exclaimed, swiping the gun from her father, and laying it onto the couch. "An' I haven't taken everything from you. There's still one thing that you have, that's worth more than any amount of money."
Akuryō and Akuma were scared now as Kali pulled the knives from their sheaths on her thighs, wielding them with expert skill, as the cold steel glistened in the lamp light of the living room.
"You wanna know what the labs were training me to become?" Kali inquired. "They were training me, to become an Assassin."
~4 AM~
Kali stretched out as she was walking down the street, in the larger more populated part of town. The hours she lived by at the lab screwed up her internal clock, and forced her body to get accustomed to running on only two hours of sleep, sometimes no sleep at all. With about three hours to spare before she had to get herself ready for school, Kali decided to go to the hospital, and pay a visit to someone.
Reaching the bottom floor to the hospital room. Kali used her gymnastics and parkour skills to scale the wall, before making it to the window leading into Ms. Yukimura's hospital room. Gently sliding it open, Kali stepped through, before closing it, to not alarm the medical staff.
When looking at Ms. Yukimura, Kali sighed in sadness, having a feeling that she could have done more to prevent her current condition, connected to breathing and feeding tubes.
She took Ms. Yukimura's medical charts off the end of the bed, and gave them a look over.
"Spinal cord severely damaged. L4 Vertebra completely missing, and L5 shattered beyond repair. Nervous system in lower back is completely severed. She's never gonna be able to walk again." Kali sighed. "But, at least she's alive and in stable condition."
"Indeed, and I am thankful, to whoever brought her here."
Kali didn't need to turn around, to know who was behind her. An' at this point, she'd figured out who that tentacled creature was exactly.
"Hey Reaper Sensei." Kali said, turning to look at the ever smiling yellow tentacle creature. "Glad you're still alive, even if you're not exactly human anymore."
"No, I suppose I'm not. But I'm glad to see you made it out safely after my little tirade of destruction of the facilities." Reaper said. "Guess it'll take more than a falling building to take down a Saiyan."
"Honestly, I barely made it. When the place began to fall apart, I got the highest voltage of electricity from the volt-pads, coursing through my body that I'd ever felt. Not to mention, I think Kotaro filled all the needles to their maximum capacity, instead of a third of the way, before injecting me with all six." Kali explained. "The surge of electricity, plus the excess amount of serum in my system mixed with my adrenaline, and caused me to mutate, with my appearance changing, to what you see now."
"I see that." Reaper said. "So have you noticed anything else about your mutation?"
"Actually, I have." Kali said, handing him a note pad. "I kept a list of things I noticed throughout discovering my abilities."
"I see." Reaper said, taking it with his tentacles. "Enhanced speed: maximum speed, unknown. Enhanced superhuman strength: weight limit, unknown. Enhanced senses such as smell, sight, taste, hearing, and sense of touch have all been increased drastically, along with gaining a sixth sense to be able to sense danger from any direction, and skin durability has increased."
"Be honest with me Sensei, you weren't really the one who blew up the moon, were you?" Kali asked.
"No, I wasn't." Reaper said. "The real culprit was a literal lab rat that went through the same experiments I'd gone through. The Dark-Matter within the rodent detonated, and the same thing will happen to me, in one year, unless I'm killed before the deadline."
"I see. So you're giving E-Class something to strive for, while pretending to be the villain." Kali smiled. "As she lies her comatose, you remain awake, fulfilling a promise you made to her, on your honor as an assassin."
"Yes indeed. I promised Yukimura that I'd do what I could for you students, when I held her in my tentacle arms that fateful night. An' I thought, I'd take the same approach, to teaching them, that I took to teaching you."
"So, I guess the Assassination Classroom, will be in for the long haul huh?" Kali asked, chuckling at the nickname she gave her training sessions with Reaper at the facility.
"That you are indeed my girl; that you are indeed." Reaper smiled, before looking her up and down, noticing a coppery scent on her. "Kali… who's blood is that on your hands?"
Kali remained quiet, before turning back to Ms. Yukimura, not wanting to look him in the eyes, or to answer.
"You've assassinated someone haven't you?" Reaper inquired.
"Two people actually." Kali said.
"You do realize, that you can never go back to living a normal life. You'll constantly be on the run from authorities." Reaper said.
"Living a normal life, was no longer an option for me, when you first started on my training, or when it was revealed to me, I wasn't even human." Kali exclaimed.
"I see." Reaper said. "Did it make you feel better? Getting revenge on your parents?"
"Honestly? Yes." Kali exclaimed clenching a fist. "My entire life they'd done nothing but abuse me, and for once, to see to look of fear frozen in their lifeless eyes, it made me feel like I was finally free of the shackles that bound me to them. Like I no longer had to be the person, they were forcing me to be."
"You felt like a liberated slave, is that it?" Reaper asked. The only confirmation he got from Kali was a nod, and in the moonlight, he could see the tears streaming down her cheeks.
A second later, a nurse came in to check on Yukimura and found the window open, but there was nobody there. Closing the pane of glass, the nurse looked to the bedside and was shocked to see a vase of red and violet roses in them, as those weren't there the last time she made her rounds.
~Several Days Following~
"Morning Nagisa." Kali said, greeting the blue haired boy as they both made their way to their classroom.
"Morning Kali." Nagisa smiled as they took their seats, before the windows began to shake and shudder.
"Looks like he's here." Kaede said before the door opened, and their teacher came in.
"All righty class." The tentacle man smiled. "Let's get started shall we? Class Monitor, if you would do the honors?"
"Right." Nagisa said. "Ready."
All the students stood up, aiming their BB-Guns at their teacher, wanting to get a chance at the prize money.
"Aim."
"This should be good." Kali smiled, holding two pistols.
"Fire." Nagisa called out as the entire class, began emptying their clips and magazines out onto their teacher.
"Oh, oh my. Well, why don't I just call roll, while you children wear yourselves out?" Reaper said, easily evading the hail of BB's coming for him. "Isogai?"
"Here."
"What's that? I'm afraid I couldn't make it out over all the gunfire."
"Here." Isogai said, a bit louder.
"Okajima?"
"Here."
"Okuda?"
"Here."
"Kataoka?"
"Here."
"Kayano?"
"Here."
"Kanzaki?"
"Here."
After Reaper finished calling roll, all the students had finished firing off their ammunition, and emptied most of their magazines, and they were exhausted. Kali was the only one, who had a pleased and amused smile on her face.
"Excellent, all present and accounted for." Reaper smiled. "No tardies, congratulations." He exclaimed, his face turning orange with a big bright red circle on it.
"He's fast." Nakamura said.
"The whole class opened fire, and he doesn't even have a scratch." Isogai said.
"No luck today either eh? That's really too bad. What's the lesson here? Numbers are no substitute for inventiveness perhaps? That any hack can point a gun and pull a trigger? Some of column-A, some of column-B?"
"The lesson here, is that our approach lacked originality. Trying to cast our net as wide as possible is a good approach, but when our target is capable at moving as mach20, an assassin has to think outside the box." Kali said.
"Correct Kali. Full marks."
"Huh, right mach20. No freaking way did you dodge that hail of bullets." Maehara exclaimed.
"He's got a point. I mean these are only BB's right? For all we know you just stood there, and took them like a champ. I mean, we know the knives work against you, since Kali managed to make the first strike, but I doubt these tiny things could do much damage to you." Sugino exclaimed as Kali sighed and walked up to stand next to Reaper.
"Collect the ammunition and bring it here." Reaper sighed. "As was explained, these are Anti-Me BB's. Harmless to you but…" He paused to hold up one of his tentacles, allowing Kali to shoot it at point blank range, demonstrating the effectiveness of a single BB, as it severed the tentacle from the rest of his body. "Able to split my cells like a knife through warm tofu. Developed by your government, for that express purpose. Of course after a few seconds, I can regenerate, good as new, something you're more than aware of thanks to Kali managing to catch me off guard and cutting one of my tentacles off already. But my regeneration is a luxury you won't have if you accidentally shoot your eye out. From now on, no discharging guns in the classroom, safety first." Reaper said, his smile broadening as green stripes appeared on his head. "An' good luck killing me before graduation. You're going to need it. Firearms and government issued Anti-Me, BB's away please. Time to get to work."
Kali smiled as she took her seat, and pulled out a notebook. This was going to be an interesting year in E-Class, one for the ages for sure.
~Karasuma Residence~
"Kali's been acting strange, and agitated whenever I've tried talking to her about going back to her parents. I'm needing to get to the bottom of this, right now." Tadaomi Karasuma said, walking up to the front door of his brother's home, before ringing the doorbell.
There was a moment of silence, before he rang the doorbell again, still not getting an answer from his brother and sister-in-law. Knocking on the door, he was surprised, and greatly concerned, when it swung open slightly, before he pulled out his gun, and went inside. He knew he had to call this in to the local authorities to let them take the case, but this was his brother's home. He wasn't about to let the local police stop him from doing his part on figuring out what was happening.
Marching through the house, Karasuma looked through the halls. From the mailbox outside, it was safe to assume something went wrong, from the overflowing state the mailbox was in. Searching through the house, Karasuma found no signs of a struggle anywhere. But when he got to the garage, he had to bring his arm up to his nose, as the stench of rotting flesh hit his nostrils like a freight-train.
"Oh god, what is that smell?" Karasuma questioned.
Gritting his teeth, Karasuma made his way through the garage, looking around for any signs of a fight. But there were none. When the smell got stronger, Karasuma realized he was getting closer to it. Looking around in the corners of the garage, before he spotted two plastic barrels his brother always kept full of water in case of emergencies. But he saw one of the lids was open and went to investigate it.
When he peered inside the opened lid of the barrel, he had to quickly step back as to avoid throwing his lunch. Inside the barrel were liquefied human remains, most likely his brothers. An' it was safe to assume the other barrel held the liquefied remains of his sister-in-law.
"Who the hell would do something like this?" Karasuma questioned, his mind traveling a mile a minute to try and comprehend, who would have beef with his niece's parents.
~Class3-E~
"Okay. Here's a puzzler for you. Isogai." Reaper said, calling on one of his students.
"Uh, sir?"
"Which of these tentacles is the odd man out?" Reaper asked, producing four tentacles all, different colors from yellow.
"The blue one?"
"Excellent." Reaper praised.
Kali just smiled as she couldn't help but be amused at her Sensei's antics. To think, the cold blooded killer she was trained by, was now a joyful, playful homeroom middle school teacher.
The sound of gunfire from a BB gun sounded off, before Reaper caught the BB with two pieces of chalk.
"Nakamura. I distinctly remember saying no guns discharging in the classroom." Reaper said his face and whole head turning red.
"I know."
"Back row young lady, think about what you've done."
"So predictable." Kali smiled, before the bell sounded.
"Oh that's lunch everybody. Excuse me while I pop over to China for a quick bite. You have my cell number. Any killers feeling especially trigger happy today, are welcome to hit me up."
"Wait, before you go Sensei." Kali said, grabbing his attention, holding up an ice cold milk coffee. "I thought you might like a drink to go with your lunch."
"How thoughtful of you. But I'm gonna have to pass. It's filled with crushed Anti-Me BB's, most likely. But nice try, kudos for originality." Reaper smiled, before taking off at mach20 out the window.
"Damn, I really thought that would have worked." Kali sighed, pouring the drink out the open window.
"Wait, that's actually what you did?" Nagisa questioned.
"Hmm? Well yeah, it's our job to kill him isn't it?" Kali asked. "10Billion for a reward doesn't sound half bad to me at all. I even convinced my uncle to talk to his superiors to get the reward increased."
"You seem surprisingly calm about trying to take a life." Isogai said.
"Yeah well, when you've been through the life I've lived, you tend to change your perspectives on life a bit." Kali sighed, taking out her bento box.
'She must be talking about the abuse she went through at home.' Nagisa thought.
"Yo Nagisa." Terasaka said, as he and his two cronies came to him. "Look alive little man, time to put our money where our mouth is, and get this done."
Kali looked back at Nagisa as he left with Terasaka and his two cronies. Something didn't feel right to her, seeing Nagisa walking off with that trio, they were up to no good, and that no good would probably cost someone their safety if Terasaka was the one pulling the strings. Specifically Nagisa. Before she could ponder on this even further, Kali was pulled out of her thoughts when Nakamura tapped the Saiyan girl on her shoulder.
"Hey, thought I'd sit and chat with ya." Nakamura smiled. "I wanted to know if you've heard any good music lately."
"Yeah, I've been listening to a few soundtracks." Kali smiled.
"Well, have you heard any music by this American Artist, Jeff Williams?" Nakamura asked, bringing up her music player. "It's really good."
"I'm sure it is. But I'm not much into American artists. There are a few I like, but not many." Kali explained, even though it was a complete lie. 'Truth be told, any songs with Jeff or Casey Lee Williams, does something, it triggers some sort of power boost, and it's scary what happens when it's triggered. It possibly has something to do with the fact I was listening to a song by Jeff Williams on repeat when Reaper Sensei had destroyed the building and caused the voltage panel to go haywire while I was still connected to it.'
"Oh too bad. Still you seem like quite the athletic type. You were killing it in gym class yesterday." Nakamura smiled.
"You really think so? My parents forced me to do gymnastics up until the end of my first year of middle school." Kali said rubbing the back of her head sheepishly.
"So, question for you." Hinano asked. "What's the deal between you and your uncle whenever he tries to convince you to go home to your parents?"
"Well…" Kali stopped when she felt her phone vibrate in her pocket, and found it was a messaged from her uncle. Her gaze narrowed as she read the message on the screen.
"What's wrong?" Nakamura asked.
"My uncle just texted me some news about my parents." Kali said. "Speak of the devils and they shall appear."
"So, what's the news?" Hinano asked.
"Their bodies were found in a couple of plastic barrels, liquefied by 99% pure hydrochloric acid." Kali said.
Those who were within earshot of her were shocked speechless. They hadn't expected Kali to talk to casually about the death of her parents. What's worse, she didn't seem to show any emotion regarding their deaths. She just stared blankly at her phone. Most of them probably just thought she was in shock from being told the news over a text message.
'Strange. How did their bodies end up that way?' Kali questioned. 'I know I didn't do that. I didn't clean up the murders either. Someone else must have disposed of the bodies for me. I can only think of one person, who'd go through that kind of trouble for me.'
"Hey, Kali. You gonna be alright?" Nakamura questioned.
"I'll be fine." Kali said, sending a reply before deleting the conversation all together. "I honestly, don't care that they're dead. World's a cleaner place with them gone."
"Kali, they were your parents. How could you say something like that?" Hinano asked. "Don't you feel sad about their deaths just a little bit?"
"Nope." Kali said. "In fact I hope they're burning in hell."
"Kali why are you being so cold towards your parents death?" Nakamura asked.
"Because I haven't considered those two my parents for a long time now." Kali said. "My entire existence, they've done nothing but treat me like a tool, forcing me to do this, forcing me to take care of that. I'm honestly glad they're gone. In fact, that's what I sent back to my uncle via a text. So I'm sorry, if I don't feel anything for abusive monsters who treated me like I'm less than human my entire life."
"Alright we get it." Nakamura said. "Why don't we just calm down and talk about something else?"
"Sure." Kali said with a deep breath. "I'm sorry for acting out. I just get so defensive when the subject of my parents is brought up."
"We get it. You wouldn't have had that little tirade if it weren't for nothing." Hinano said with an understanding smile.
"So girl talk. You're like majorly developed, far more than me even." Nakamura said. "What are your sizes?"
"My sizes? I actually haven't measured in a while." Kali said. "I think it's been about a year since I last measured."
"No time like the present." Hinano smirked pulling out a tape measure.
"Wait, here? Now?" Kali asked with a blush. "But there are still boys in the classroom."
"We can fix that." Nakamura said, pulling Kali out of the room with Hinano following behind very fast.
"Are they serious?" Okajima asked. "I really wanna see that."
"Go ahead, if you wanna die." Kirara said.
For the rest of lunch period, after the girls had found out Kali's measurements, they talked about all sorts of different things, ranging from which boys they liked, which pop groups they thought were best, which animes they were into. They even talked about Kalis' looks, and how they made her look exotic, before the bell rang, signifying the end of lunch period.
"Look at that, lunch is over already." Nakamura said, returning to her seat.
"We'll talk more later, kay?" Hinano asked.
"Sure thing." Kali smiled as she put her bento away.
"Good afternoon class. I hope you all had a good lunch." Reaper said, coming into the office with a missile in his tentacles, and Nagisa coming in behind him.
'I am not even going to ask.' Kali thought.
"For our literature class, we're going to be focusing on writing a poem." Reaper said, writing it down on the chalkboard.
After explaining that the end of the poem had to involve tentacles, no matter what, we all began writing out our assignment, as Reaper started to fall asleep, before Kaede caught him off guard, by asking what they should call him. Eventually he gave up and said to pick for him, before he actually fell asleep this time.
'Just like clockwork. During fifth period, he always falls asleep. But it looked like Kaede's question threw him off a bit.' Kali thought, before she noticed someone walking past her, and saw it was Nagisa, with an Anti-Sensei knife. 'What is he doing?' She questioned, before catching a whiff of something. 'Gunpowder?'
"Ah, seems the muse favors Nagisa." Reaper said as the blue haired boy came walking up to him.
Kali looked back to Terasaka, and glared at him as he had a stupidly proud grin on his face.
'No, he wouldn't.' Kali thought, turning back to Nagisa, right before he whipped out the blade, and swung it at Reaper.
"What did I say about originality?" Reaper questioned, using a tissue to take away the rubber blade. It was then Nagisa jumped at Reaper, with what looked like a grenade strung around his neck by a small chain, coming out from under his sweater vest, and causing Kali's eyes to go wide.
"Oh dear." Reaper said.
Almost instantly, right before Terasaka could hit the detonation button, Kali jumped out of her seat, and grabbed Nagisa by the back of his sweater vest, and threw him down the aisle of desks, before curling herself up around the grenade as she flung herself into Reaper, right as the detonation button was hit.
The moment the grenade went off, everyone in the class screamed in terror as BB's went flying everywhere, and a charred body of the teacher fell to the ground.
"Yes alright." Terasaka cheered as he and his two followers ran to the front of the class. "Bet you never saw a suicide bomber coming, did ya?"
"Terasaka what did you do?" Kaede questioned. "You could have killed Nagisa."
"I'm alright."
Terasaka and Kaede and the rest of the students looked to the back of the room, and saw Nagisa sitting up against the wall, looking like he'd just had a near death experience.
"Wait, if Nagisa is there, then… wait, where's Kali?" Nakamura questioned, noticing the Saiyan girl wasn't in her desk anymore.
"Don't tell me, she took the brunt of the blast to protect Nagisa." Kaede said.
"Relax. There wasn't enough gunpowder in there to kill anyone who wasn't the Octopus. I'll chip in for her medical bills." Terasaka said, crouching down to look at the body of the Sensei, before a hand breached the surface, and grabbed Terasaka by the scruff of his shirt, as Kali picked herself up from the ground, her body covered in bruises and burns, with part of her uniform singed away. "What the hell? You're still conscious?"
"Look up." Kali growled, pointing to the ceiling with her finger.
Terasaka and his two followers, Taisei, and Takuya, looked to the ceiling, and they began to cower, when they saw their Sensei in the rafters, and his yellow skin began to turn black.
"This was the doing of you three, wasn't it?" He questioned.
"It… it was all Nagisa's idea." Terasaka tried to pin the blame on the blue haired boy, before he was silenced with a fist to the face.
"Like hell it was." Kali said, her grip on his shirt tightening. "You expect me to believe, that you didn't pressure him into being a suicide bomber?" She questioned, slamming her knee into his stomach, forcing him to the ground. "It's scumbags like you, who really piss me off." She stated hitting Terasaka with a roundhouse kick to the head, which made the boy hit it against the teacher's desk.
"Ms. Karasuma that's enough." Reaper said, his skin back to its yellow color, but still sounded pretty pissed. "I get that you're angry, but this is not how to settle these disputes. I'm gonna have to ask you stay behind in detention."
"Worth it." Kali said, stomping on Terasaka's hand. "Either of you wanna try and pin it on Nagisa next?" She asked, looking to Taisei and Takuya.
"No ma'am. It was all our idea." They said, shaking their heads.
"Now normally, I'd do something to instill fear into your hearts, but it seems like Ms. Karasuma did it for me." Reaper said as Kali and Nagisa went back to their seats. "Now that assassination attempt certainly was creative, which Nagisa gets full marks for. But I am a teacher first and foremost. So all of my students safety is my highest priority. So in the future, try and be more careful with your assassination attempts."
"Right." The class said.
"How do you say unkillable in Japanese?" Kaede asked. "Korosenai? Koro-Sensei."
"That certainly sounds like a perfect name for our faster than lightning teacher." Kali smiled.
~After Class~
"Ow-ow-ow." Kali hissed.
"Stop fidgeting. You have only yourself to blame." Koro-Sensei said performing first aid on Kali's injuries. Both of them became extremely concerned when she didn't heal as fast as she normally did, and the injuries got worse. As it turns out, Terasaka's attempt had done more damage to her, than Koro-Sensei. "Who'd have thought these BB's would affect you in a similar way they do me."
"A result of the experiments we were both subjected to at the lab." Kali sighed as Koro-Sensei used tweezers to pull the BB's out. "Hey, can I ask you something?"
"You're wanting to know if I was the one who cleaned up the crime of your parents murders and gave them their acid baths." Koro-Sensei said.
"Yeah." Kali said.
"I am."
"Why?"
"Kali, you've got your whole life ahead of you. An' as a teacher, I can't stand to watch you throw it away by being thrown in jail. Assassinating your own parents might have been something you thought you needed to feel free from their influence on you, but it wasn't." Koro-Sensei said. "I know I'm the last person who should be saying this, but killing them wasn't the solution. You're a smart young woman, you could do amazing things, become something amazing, like a lawyer, a courtroom judge, or even a Prime Minister. The choice is ultimately yours. I just didn't want to see your future die before it had a chance to grow. So I removed all the evidence of who the killer was, and made it look like there wasn't a struggle. By the time Agent Karasuma found the liquefied remains, even the bones were nothing but soup."
"What you said earlier, about being a teacher first and foremost."
"I meant every word. I'd promised Yukimura that I would take care of all of you students, and that's including the one who's been my student the longest." Koro-Sensei said, putting the last bandage on Kali's hand. "No go home, get some rest, and I'll talk with your uncle when he comes by."
"Don't tell him about why I hate my parents."
"You're wanting to tell him yourself?" Koro-Sensei asked.
"Yeah."
"Fine by me. I'll just let him, and the Principal know, you'll be absent tomorrow due to your injuries." Koro-Sensei stated.
"Thanks Koro-Sensei." Kali smiled, getting up from her desk.
"Don't mention it. An' Kali…"
"Hmm?"
"In the future, should you choose to become a Professional Assassin, I won't stop you. In fact I'll do everything in my power to help you reach your goals. But just know, once you head down that path, there's no coming back from it."
"Right." Kali sighed, before heading out the door. "I'll see you later Koro-Sensei."
