Clover Kingdom's Champion

"Ow-ow-ow-ow…" Kali groaned as she opened her eyes and sat up in bed. "What the hell happened? Where am I?"

"Morning Sunshine."

Kali looked to what she saw was the door to her room in the Black Bulls Hideout, and saw Vanessa there.

"It's about time you woke up." Vanessa smiled. "I'm not sure how much more punishment Luck could take from the Captain."

"Let me guess, Captain Yami is holding him responsible for my injuries?" Kali asked.

"Yep." Vanessa chuckled. "Why don't you get dressed and we can talk at the breakfast table?"

~At the Breakfast Table~

"What?" Asta questioned, practically shouting. "Kali and I have been asleep for a whole week?"

"I'm a little surprised at that as well." Kali said, digging into her food.

"Really, I swear. Must everything be dramatic with you?" Noelle questioned.

"Do you remember anything at all that happened Kali?" Magna questioned.

"Not really, I don't remember anything that happened after Asura got there." Kali stated.

"Well, you kinda passed out, Noelle got injured, so Mimosa had to spread her magic thin to heal you both, I got a new sword that was smaller than my first one, and when Asura beat that Mars guy into the ground, the dungeon began collapsing on us. We got out thanks to Yuno and Mr. Glasses tunneling us out of there. I also kinda got stabbed, but I'm fine now." Asta abridged.

"What about Asura?" Kali asked.

"When everyone was safe, he started using some healing magic on the injured to make our injuries more stable than they were before." Asta said. "I keep forgetting that he's able to use multiple elements just like you."

"Wait, Asura Vermilion, can use the same kind of magic as Kali?" Magna questioned.

"Yeah. Yuno and I theorized that if he's able to use the same form of magic as Kali, then they must be connected somehow." Asta explained.

"Which will lead me a step closer to finding out where I come from, and who I really am." Kali stated.

"That's actually not a half-bad theory." Vanessa said.

"Enough of this boring Chit-Chat. Think of my Goddess Marie, would she enjoy this dull conversation? I need something interesting to tell her, like a story." Gauche said, holding up a picture of his little sister. "I only have 3,210 left."

"An' that's not enough to tide her over for a while? How many stories does one girl need?" Finral questioned.

"I got a story you could tell her." Kali said. "Once upon a time, there was a pedophilia incest crazed man named Gauche who deserved to be locked away, in a padded cell. The end."

"Very funny. You keep your mouth shut. You're just as bad as the old hag running the Church Marie is being kept at." Gauche said. "So far away from me, I can't stand it. I need to see my precious Marie once more."

"Go easy on the guy would you Kali? He doesn't mean any harm." Finral said.

"You're telling me, you're okay with him perving over his own little sister?" Kali asked turning to look at him.

"When you put it like that… yeah, Gauche isn't all that great of a person." Finral sighed, knowing he was beaten with that argument.

"Hey everybody, hope you brought your appetites, because the sheep cooks breakfast is ready." Charmy called out as she and her sheep cooks brought out large amounts of food.

Almost instantly, Kali and Asta began stuffing their faces, with food. No one was surprised about Asta's appetite, but it was a first for them to see Kali eating the way she was.

"Wow, you two really must be hungry. Guess sleeping and not eating for a week will probably do that to a person." Vanessa said holding up a bottle of wine. "Want some wine to wash it down?"

"I'll take some." Kali said, before the door was kicked in.

"Where the hell is Kali?" Yami questioned, coming into the room with a serious look on his face.

"I'm right here Captain." Kali said, raising her hand.

"Oh there you are. An' call me dad, I didn't adopt you for the shits and giggles." Yami said.

"Not gonna happen." Kali stated as she continued eating.

"Oh come on Kali, what's the harm in it?" Vanessa asked.

"He's only thirteen years older than me. It'd be weird to call him dad." Kali said. "I mean, he did take care of me while I was an infant, but still…"

"I get it, you feel weird about the age gap." Magna said. "But give it time, I'm sure one of these days you'll start addressing him as your old man."

"So kid, looks like you and Kali finally woke up, neither of you died after all. That's good." Yami said taking a seat at the head of the table.

"Nope, still alive sir." Asta stated proudly.

"Well, you both did a good job out there. An' Kali, Luck told me you reprimanded him for his behavior. Good job." Yami said.

"Where is he anyway?" Kali asked.

"Currently, he's feeding the beasts." Yami stated. "He hates it, so I've had him on feeding duty since you returned, as my own punishment for what happened down there."

"Ah, I see." Kali said.

"Right, now down to business." Yami said. "Knights Headquarters wants a report on the dungeon ASAP."

"So, Kali, Luck, Noelle, and I are going to Knights Headquarters to give a report?" Asta questioned.

"No way in hell. I'm not sending that fight crazed kid to Knight HQ. He'll try to fight to first opponent he sees." Yami exclaimed. "I'll be sending him on a battle mission with Magna babysitting instead."

"But sir…" Magna tried to argue.

"It's either you go, or you die." Yami stated, giving Magna a death glare.

"Hey sir. Why don't you send me? Just think of all the delectable treats the Noble realm has to offer." Charmy said, her mouth watering at the thought of all the food she could get her hands on.

"Don't take this the wrong way, but why the heck would I send you? All you do is sit around eating all day." Yami said.

"What?" Charmy questioned, before running off while crying, which didn't last long as the last thing they heard from her before she left the room was… "La-la-la-la."

"Captain sir. I'm sorry but I can't go. I'm busy writing letters to Marie." Gauche said.

"Okay. Wasn't planning on sending you anyways." Yami said.

"Ah, not so fast." Kali said, grabbing something that was behind Asta. "Nice try Charmy, but Captain Yami said no, so you're staying behind." She stated, pulling a floating cotton ball from behind Asta's back.

"Oh come on. Think about all the delectable treats calling out to me." Charmy's voice came from the cotton ball. "How'd you even notice me anyway?"

"Simple, none of your business." Kali said, throwing the cotton ball away, with Charmy poofing back to herself when her spell hit a wall, literally. "C'mon Asta, Noelle, let's head out before Charmy tries sneaking into one of your hoods again."

~Magic Knights HQ~

"Whoa, this is awesome. I mean I knew it was big, but up close it's huge." Asta said.

"Keep it down Asta. You're embarrassing all of us right now." Kali sighed.

"So cool." Asta said.

"Stop yelling." Noelle stated.

"Enormous. Gigantic." Asta kept saying.

"Are you still going on about that? It's not all that special you know." Noelle said.

"Hey look up ahead." Kali stated. "It's Klaus, Mimosa, and Yuno."

"Oh, it's them." Mimosa said, turning with her team to look at the trio of Black Bulls following the same path to the Headquarters.

"Hey, we haven't seen you since the Dungeon, Asta, Kali. Are your wounds all healed up?" Klaus questioned.

"We're good. Nothing a weeks worth of sleeping couldn't fix." Kali said.

"Hey, Mimosa." Asta said spotting her. "I really owe you one, thanks so much for patching me up." Mimosa's response to him was to turn around and run further ahead. "Hmm? What's wrong, why'd she run away?" Asta questioned.

"She was probably shocked to see…" Yuno began before Kali started pulling on his ear.

"That's enough out of you. Stop teasing Asta this instant." Kali stated.

"Yes ma'am." Yuno said, begging for Kali to let go of his ear.

'I know what's going on with her. That girl's been bit by the Asta Love Bug.' Kali thought. 'Looks like Asta's going to have more options than the good Sister Lily than just Noelle.'

"Hey, Asta, Kali."

Kali stiffened hearing that voice, and turned to see Asura coming down from the sky, having flown there, and landed on the ground next to them.

"Glad to see you're both back on your feet." Asura smiled.

'Asura is here… giving his report as well… Well he was in the Dungeon too, saved me from Mars when he made his entrance… and I… was in his arms… so close to him… I…' Kali thought as her face went red, and her eyes began to spin with steam coming out of her ears.

"Whoa, are you okay?" Noelle questioned as Kali began to sway.

"Easy there Kali." Klaus said, as Kali started to fall forward.

"Whoa." Asura said, catching her. "Easy there. You sure you're all better? You seem like you could use some more rest and recovery."

"Eh-hehe, hehehe…" Kali chuckled, before passing out.

"Kali? KALI." Asta shouted.

~Black Bulls Hideout~

"Something's wrong." Yami said, instantly looking up from his news paper.

"Hmm? What's wrong Captain?" Vanessa questioned.

"It's Kali…" Yami said, as a dark aura formed around him. "Someone's stolen her heart."

"Oh dear. I pity the poor soul who swooped the Captain's daughter off her feet. But at the same time it's so romantic." Vanessa smiled with a chuckle.

~Magic Knights HQ~

"Oh, how embarrassing." Kali groaned, her face flushed as she walked with everyone through the streets.

"At least you're back on your feet." Yuno said. "What was that about anyway?"

"Nothing. I was just feeling a bit fatigued is all." Kali said with a bit of panic in her voice.

"If you say so." Yuno said.

"Knights Headquarters should just be through here." Klaus said.

"Guess there are some things even you don't know, huh four-eyes." Asta said.

"Even we four-eyes can't know everything." Klaus stated.

"But Klaus is right. Magic Knights HQ is just beyond these gates." Asura said. "I've been here a few times with my uncle, so we're pretty close actually."

"We don't often come to Headquarters so it's easy to forget." Klaus said, walking forward before he paused. Standing in the entryway to Headquarters, was the Wizard King himself, with a smile on his face. "No, is that really…? I never dreamed you would greet us personally sir." Klaus said respectfully, taking a knee.

Not far behind, everyone except for Asta and Yuno took a knee, bowing to the Wizard King.

"Get down on one knee you idiots." Kali exclaimed, jumping up, and pulling both Asta and Yuno by the ear, to their knee.

"Ow-ow-ow. Kali what's the big deal?" Asta questioned.

"That is Wizard King Julius Novachrono." Kali said. "We bow in respect whenever he's present unless he says otherwise."

"Please, no need to be so formal when giving your report." Julius smiled. "Kali, I'd ask that you go to the treasure hall, and then meet up with us after all the treasure's been removed from your Grimoire."

"How did you…?"

"A minor report was given by Klaus to his Squad Captain about the treasure that had been in the treasure hall of the Dungeon. Once you've cleaned your Grimoire out, please feel free to join us at the top of the tower. I'm sure you can find us easily." Julius smiled.

~Later at the Top of a Tower~

"I'm pleased you were able to obtain this. This magic is very powerful, it could very easily be that Dungeon's greatest relic." Julius said, looking at Yuno's Grimoire.

"Kali had said that the Wind Spirits were one of several very powerful Elemental Spirit Clans, and that this spirit could have just been a newborn." Yuno stated.

"A reincarnation actually. When elemental spirits die, they reincarnate, sort of like how a phoenix comes back from its own ashes." Julius said.

"I'm back." Kali called out, flying back to the group, her hair tied up in a ponytail.

"Hey Kali welcome back." Asta said. "I see you got your robe back."

"Yeah, fell out of my Grimoire after all the treasure was emptied from it." Kali said. 'Didn't really empty, all the treasure from my Grimoire, but that idiot king is so spoiled and self centered, he doesn't deserve the whole horde of treasure from the Dungeon. Which is why only a third of it was given to him. Question is, what am I going to do with the rest? Build a suit of armor out of solid gold?' Kali questioned, shaking her legs loose of any stiffness. "So what's the conversation?"

"We were talking about how a Wind Spirit bound itself to my Grimoire." Yuno said.

"Well it didn't so much bind itself to your Grimoire. It actually bound itself to your soul, and the proof of it is in your Grimoire." Kali explained.

"She's right." Julius said. "You'll soon find your magic to be increasingly stronger, sometime in the future because the spirit bonded to your soul. Silf, spirit of wind. Queen of the spirits in fact."

"So it was a reincarnated spirit, not a newborn." Kali said.

"Newborn spirits tend to have a harder time controlling their magics than the more experienced ones." Julius smiled. "So what do you say? Will you cast this spell for me? Pretty please?"

"I'm sorry sir. I believe it activated once when we were in the Dungeon, but I haven't been able to use it again since." Yuno said.

"Oh, I see. Too bad." Julius said, handing Yuno's Grimoire back to him.

"Hey Kali, where'd you get that hair tie?" Asta asked.

"Hmm? Oh, the King's Niece thought my hair was a bit messy, so she put my hair up for me. It was nice of her, though I don't think the King liked how she was treating a commoner like me, as a respectable person." Kali said.

"Excuse me Kali. I hope I'm not intruding on anything, but I was hoping to see your Grimoire." Julius said.

"My Grimoire? But why?"

"Well, it was reported to me, you were somehow able to copy one of the Diamond Kingdom Mage's spells just by making physical contact with him." Julius said.

"Oh, well then you're probably gonna want to take a look at these first." Kali said, bringing her Grimoire out, and producing her clawed gauntlets. "These are what actually allowed me to copy and enhance the Diamond Mage's spell."

"I see." Julius said, taking the gauntlets.

However, the moment they were no longer in Kali's hands, Julius immediately bent over as they forced him and his hands to the ground, creating small indents.

"King Julius, are you okay?" Klaus questioned.

"I'm fine. Nothing a little visit to Owen for my back won't fix." Julius said, letting go of the gauntlets and standing up straight, cracking his back. "Those things are heavier than they look."

"Really? I can hardly feel their weight." Kali said, picking the gauntlets up again.

"Hmm, put them on the ground again for me?" Julius asked.

"Right." Kali said, doing just that.

"Asta, try picking one of them up." Julius said.

Asta bent down and grabbed one of the gauntlets, before he tried to stand up, but he couldn't get the one he was grabbing, to move even a fraction of an inch.

"I thought so." Julius said, waving some magic over them after Asta failed to raise the gauntlets off the ground.

"What is it?" Noelle asked.

"Well, it would appear that the gauntlets are enchanted." Julius said. "An' I believe it would be safe to say, any item produced by her Grimoire, would be enchanted as well. For this particular enchantment, only one person, deemed worthy can wield, well the gauntlets. Anyone else who tries to use or move the gauntlets, will be met with some heavy resistance. Such as what both Asta and I experienced."

"Whoa. That's awesome." Asta said, before pulling out his Grimoire. "Wizard King sir. Some weird writing showed up in my Grimoire too. Please take a look." He stated as he opened up his Grimoire.

"Don't be so pertinent." Klaus said, but Julius just raised his hand.

"Hmm… This looks like…"

"Like?" Asta asked.

"Something I can't read." Julius said, causing Asta to fall in disappointment.

"An' this comes out of it." Asta said, pulling out his second Anti-Magic sword.

"Oh impressive."

"Hehe. Mine's working just fine." Asta smirked, looking to Yuno.

"What did I say about picking on one another?" Kali questioned, pulling his ear.

"Such insolence in front of the Wizard King." Asura said.

"An actual Anti-Magic sword. Can I hold it?" Julius asked.

"Of course." Asta said, putting it in his hands.

"Thank you so… WHOA NELLY." Julius called out, when he felt how heavy it was.

"Are you okay?" Asta asked.

"I think that just fixed my back." Julius chimed. 'This sword, I can feel it sucking my magic away.' He thought examining the sword closely. "Here you go, thanks for letting me take a look at it. I'm impressed you're able to swing it around. I think it would be best if you kept hold of it. You might be the only one who can since you don't have any magic." He stated, handing the sword back to Asta.

"Yeah but… how did you know I didn't have any magic, and about what my sword can do?" Asta questioned.

"Well, that's a good question." Julius said.

"He's been spying on all the news Magic Knight recruits in disguise to learn what kinds of magic we have." Kali stated. "It's his hobby. He's a total Magic Obsessed Nerd."

"Bite your tongue Kali." Asura said.

"No, she pegged me. I am a magic loving nerd." Julius said. "Anyway, well done. You all did a marvelous job out there. Much appreciated."

"Um, King Julius sir? I have a question to ask." Kali said, raising her hand.

"Hmm? What is it?" Julius inquired.

"Well, I was just wondering…"

"How can I become the Wizard King/Queen?" Kali, Asta, and Yuno questioned at the same time.

"What? Kali, you're wanting to take that title now too?" Asta questioned.

"Yep. In order to fulfill my dream, I have to take it step by step." Kali smiled.

"You weren't around when Kali decided to throw her hat into the ring for the title." Yuno said.

"I see, so the three of you are looking to become the Wizard King are you? Or I guess it would be Queen in Kali's case." Julius said, with laughter. "Not surprising given that you are Magic Knights."

"You three must realize how rude it is to ask a question like that, so directly." Klaus said. "Now listen, the Wizard King must be of noble heart, and have the implicit trust of all his peo…"

"No Klaus." Julius said, interrupting the Golden Dawn Knight. "It's about results."

"Results huh?" Kali asked.

"A noble heart alone, cannot protect anyone, and the trust of the people is earned, not granted. You want to know what you need to do to earn the title of Wizard King/Queen? Get results, prove that you're the strongest."

"Do what it take. Devote yourselves to getting results. That's all there is to it. Am I right?" Kali asked, folding her arm.

"Anyone who's not capable of that, cannot hope to stand at the summit, let alone begin the arduous journey towards it." Julius concluded with a nod of his head.

"Exactly what I wanted to hear." Asta and Yuno said at the same time.

"Now I hope you're ready for something special, because today we've gathered those Knights with an exceptional number of stars, for the distinguished service ceremony." Julius said.

"The Dis… what now?" Asta questioned.

"It's a ceremony rewarding Magic Knight's who've shown their strength, and valor towards protecting the Kingdom." Kali explained. "It's sort of like how Father Orsi would minister and hand out our meals on Sundays."

"Basically, the Wizard Kings gives awards and commendations to those who've performed extraordinarily well." Asura clarified.

"Oh…" He understood when Kali explained it.

"I would appreciate it if you all could join in and watch how the ceremony is done."

~Later~

"Here we are." Julius said, stopping in front of a pair of doors after leading the group through the halls. "Question is, can you achieve greater results than these Knights have?" Julius asked as the doors began to open.

Standing in the gathering hall, were several Knights from a couple of the Squads as well as a few Captains. There were some from the Blue Roses, the Crimson Lion Kings, the Golden Dawn, and the Silver Eagles.

"Alright." Julius began as he walked into the room. "Let the Distinguished Service Ceremony begin."

A short while later, after assorting themselves accordingly in the hall, the ceremony began, with Julius and his assistant Marx at the podium.

"With a total of Seven Stars, from the Crimson Lion Kings Squad, Leopold Vermilion, step forward." Julius called out. "I hereby bestow upon you, the rank of Intermediate Magic Knight Second Class." He said, handing the young Vermilion his medal. "Like your brother, Captain of the Crimson Lion Kings, your use of flame magic can be a bit overwhelming. You may wanna consider toning it down a little."

"There's no room for mercy, when you're fighting against evil, sir." Leopold said before stepping down from the podium.

"Next, with a total of six stars, from the Blue Rose Knights, Sol Marron. I grant you the rank of Intermediate Magic Knight Third Class." Julius announced. "Your vitality, a match for any man's, as is your unique Earth Magic. But perhaps you have a bit too much freedom."

"The only person who can tie me down is Charlotte. I mean, my Captain." Sol said.

"Girl's a lesbian, but Captain Charlotte isn't. She's gonna be sorely disappointed when that comes to light." Kali whispered to Asura, who only giggled, before straightening himself when he noticed Fuegoleon looking at them.

Kali looked over and saw the Crimson Lions Captain looking at them, and waved with a smile.

"Now with a total of six stars. Hailing from the Silver Eagles, I call Solid Silva." Julius said, as the Silva son stepped forward. "I grant you the rank of Intermediate Magic Knight Third Class. You exhibit great skill in controlling your magic, but it would be better if you could work with those around you, rather than showing off your own powers."

"I'll keep that in mind, going forward." Solid said.

"You sure his element is water and not wind? Because I can tell he's full of hot air." Kali said, forcing Asura to keep his laughter in once more.

"With a total of nine stars, from the Silver Eagles, is Nebra Silva." Julius called out. "I grant you the rank of Senior Magic Knight Fifth Class. The illusions that you create with your Mist Magic are truly incredible. But you have a habit of using them to toy with your foe more than necessary. It may backfire someday. So be careful and start controlling that habit. We don't wanna lose a valuable Magic Knight."

"Thank you for the advice, I'll take it to heart." Nebra said.

"You'd think being skilled with illusions, she could stand to make herself look less like a troll." Kali said, making it harder for Asura to keep from laughing.

"With a total of seven stars, hailing from the Golden Dawn, Hamon Caseus. I hereby grant you the rank of Intermediate Magic Knight, Second Class. Looking at you, one wouldn't think you wield Glass Magic. I imagine that often confuses your enemies." Julius said.

"Yes sir, it does, thank you." Hamon said.

"Next with a total of eight stars, also from the Golden Dawn, Shiren Tium." Julius announced. "I grant you the rank of Intermediate Magic Knight, First Class. Behind you eloquent magic is a reticent mage, who rarely speaks his own mind. I encourage you to make your thoughts and opinions known, more often."

"Sir."

"An' now with a total of eleven stars, from the Golden Dawn, Alecdora Sandler. I grant you the rank of Senior Magic Knight, Fourth Class." Julius said. "I commend you for both your flexible magic, and your diligent demeanor. However, you might consider relaxing occasionally."

"Welcome words sir, thank you." Alecdora said.

"Your efforts have helped bring the Golden Dawn to a total of seventy-one stars. A commanding lead. The rest of you will have to work hard, not to be left behind." Julius said. "Well, that concludes the formal bit. We've also prepared a simple banquet to celebrate the occasion. So please, enjoy yourselves. An' you may not have noticed, but I invited some special guests." That's when everyone turned to the last minute viewers to the ceremony. "I hope you'll mix and mingle with them as well." He stated, with a bit of laughter.

"Pardon sir." Marx said coming to Julius's side, and whispering something to him.

"I'm sorry, but something's come up. You'll have to excuse me. Have an excellent time now!" Julius smiled, before leaving.

Later, as the banquet was commencing, Kali noticed Noelle didn't seem to be relaxed or enjoying herself.

"What's up you two? Why you so tense?" Kali questioned.

"Yeah, it's a banquet, where we can eat all the free food you could ever want." Asura said.

"It's just, it feels like I don't belong here." Noelle said.

"I get it, their contempt to our presence is almost palpable." Asura said. "Still, they can't argue with us being here as King Julius is the one who invited us, so they just gotta suck it up."

"At least some of them don't seem to have a bone to pick with you Kali." Noelle said looking to her squad mate.

"Well, I did spend a day having some girls time with Captain Charlotte of the Blue Rose Knights. We kinda bonded. An' between us, she has a thing for Captain Yami." Kali smiled.

"That ain't news to me." Asura smiled. "I could tell she has a thing for the old brute. Speaking of, I heard he adopted you. So does that make you Kali Sukehiro?"

"It does. But I am not calling that man, dad." Kali sighed, eating a big cluster of honey grilled meat. "Mmm, tenderized to perfection."

"What is this?" Asta questioned. "I've… never… had… anything… like… this…!" He stated between mouthfuls of food.

"At least he doesn't seem to be bothered by everyone's starring." Asura said.

"That's just how Asta is. He doesn't care what people think of him, never has, and never will. Not even at a banquet like this one." Kali laughed as Mimosa came to join Asta.

"Filthy gluttonous commoner." Alecdora said. "Why would the Wizard King invite such a vulgar guest?"

"I can't sense any magic power in him. If he did clear that dungeon, I'm sure it was purely by luck." Nebra said.

"What a positively atrocious eater!" Hamon said with some laughter.

"It's much like having a rat in the throne room. His presence here, is unnatural." Solid said.

'Keep chatting away you morons, your words won't affect Asta at all.' Kali thought.

"Mmm, you guys really don't pull your punches, huh?" Asta questioned. "Oh, well, nothing I'm not used to."

'It doesn't even seem to bother him.' Klaus and Mimosa thought at the same time.

"If I remember correctly Alecdora you've got a commoner in your Squad, too." Asura said. "Everyone seems to think he's a big deal because of his Four Leaf Clover Grimoire."

"But he's a commoner through and through." Leopold said.

"Hey." Kali said in a warning tone. "Watch it, or a certain little cub is gonna be sent flying straight to the monster infested badlands between the Clover and Spade Kingdoms."

"Trust me, I've been wanting to do that to my Uncle Leopold for years." Asura sighed.

"They might have pulled off the dungeon crawling mission. But I have no doubt, I would have done a better job." Leopold said.

"Oh really?" Kali questioned. "You would have died fighting against the Diamond Mage Asura saved us all from."

"Well, Crimson Lion Cub, aren't you full of yourself." Alecdora said. "His work may be sub-par, but it's not as if we expect much from a commoner. True he's golden dawn, but it is we Nobles who embody the ideals of our squad and captain."

"Now with all due respect…"

"An' what about you Klaus?" Alecdora questioned. "A man of your caliber oughta be ashamed to be seen in the company of those commoners. As for you Mimosa, I heard you were rescued by one of those commoners. Your ineptitude is making royal House Vermilion a laughingstock. Even the commoner monkey who was adopted into the family did better than you."

"Watch it pal." Asura said, gripping his robe tightly, with flames sparking up on the back of his hand. "I'm not above kicking your ass to protect the honor of my family. I'll even cleave that head from your body if need be."

"Come Alecdora." Solid said, gaining their attention. "We all know who the most inept person here is."

Solid raised his glass above Noelle's head, but before he could tip it to pour the water on his sister, his wrist was grabbed, with a vice like grip, and a vein bulging from the back of the hand. His eyes widened in disgust when he saw it was Kali who'd stopped him, and looked at her as if she'd gone and done an unspeakable crime.

"Noelle, step to my other side please." Kali said.

"Right." Noelle said, running to Kali's other side.

"Unhand me now you commoner. I am royalty, and as such you have no right to act this way towards me." Solid said, breaking his arm free from Kali's grip.

"Now listen here you royal piece of shit." Kali said, a circle forming around her feet with the magic energy she was letting off. "I don't care if you're the King himself. I will not stand for you, Noelle's older brother, to treat her in such a way. She is a great person, and deserves better siblings than you, or your captain, who said her very existence was pointless."

Kali spared a side glance at Nozel, who didn't seem to show any reaction to her words. Not outwardly at least, but she could tell he had an inward reaction to what she said.

"Oh boy. This is bad." Asta said, as Kali's tied up hair began to wave about with the energy she was giving off.

"Very bad." Yuno agreed.

"What's the problem?" Klaus asked.

"Well, Kali is the oldest of us at the church, so she's the big sister to everyone there. An' if anyone were to do something to piss her off like this, it generally had something to do with harming someone from the family." Asta said.

"An' when she's this mad, the bodies are never found." Yuno added.

"Mainly because there's nothing left of them when she's done." Asta finished.

"I don't see why you're defending her." Nozel said. "She's a pathetic creature who doesn't belong here. Now leave Noelle. Wasn't killing our mother enough?"

"He don fucked up saying that." Asta said, as Kali's eyes widened in anger.

There was a gust of wind as Kali disappeared from their sight, before she was right in front of Nozel, armed with her gauntlets. The moment Nozel could see her again, he wasn't fast enough to move.

"You don't deserve, to be her big brother." Kali stated in anger, before her fist slammed into Nozel's stomach, and she sent the Silver Eagles Captain, flying into the wall opposite to her.

"She… she just sent Nozel, Captain of the Silver Eagles flying." Hamon said in shock.

"No mere commoner has that kind of power. What the hell is she?" Alecdora questioned, bringing out his Grimoire. Seconds later, Kali found herself being enveloped by massive amounts of sand. "Die you filthy little rat."

"Oh, I'm not the one who's gonna be suffering." Kali said from behind Alecdora.

The sand mage's eyes widened, when he felt the armored gauntlet grab his wrist, before screaming in agony as he felt a burning pain running through his arm, as his bone was shattered, and broke through the skin and tissue. Alecdora was silenced by a spinning kick to the head, knocking him out.

"What is she doing?" Klaus questioned.

"This is a state of mind we call her, Berserker Rage." Yuno said as Kali's hair gained a red tint to it. "We try everything as humanly possible to avoid getting her this worked up, because there's usually no stopping her in this state, until her target is out of sight."

"Water binding magic. Now, Sea Serpents Coil!" Solid called out.

"Mercury Magic…" Kali let out as the pages of her Grimoire flipped through. "Dragon Scale Shield."

From out of thin air, a silver shield formed, looking like a giant dragon's scale, blocking the strike from Solid's Grimoire.

"Wait, that's Nozel's magic. But the spell is completely different." Solid gasped as his attack spell dissipated.

"Mist binding magic: Mist Spider's Thread Spell." Nebra chanted, as the mist began to surround Kali.

"Wind Creation Magic…" Kali chanted. "Dance of the Dragons Wings."

A whirlwind blew through the room, dissipating the mist surrounding Kali, revealing a shocked looking Nebra and Solid.

"I'm not done with either of you." Kali growled, planting one foot back. "Lightning/Flame Magic…" She chanted, combining two elements, before she went running at Solid and Nebra. "Beat of the Dragon's Heart." She called out as she hit them both with that attack.

The force of both her natural strength, and the magic behind her attack, was enough to send both Nebra and Solid flying in the same direction as Nozel, making them land on either side of where the Silver Eagles Captain had landed, building up a cloud of dust and debri as the impact left both a mental impression on everyone there, and a physical impression on the wall.

"Sand Creation Magic, Sand Armored Guard." Alecdora chanted, barely keeping conscious as an armored giant of sand formed and enveloped Kali. "Take that you filthy peasant."

Alecdora's victory was short lived as Kali burst through the armored giant, wearing her Red Diamond Nemean Armor, her Grimoire back in its holster. But the armor looked different. It looked completely black.

"Combine her Red Diamond Armor with Berserker Rage, and you get what exactly?" Mimosa asked.

"Black Armor Berserker." Yuno said.

"RAAAAGH." Kali cried out, charging at Alecdora, and with a kick straight into his stomach, Kali sent the Magic Knight, flying through the room, shattering the glass as he went out the window, while leaving behind a trail of his lunch.

"Enough of this." Nozel's voice called out as he let his magical energy loose for everyone to feel.

Kali looked back towards Nozel, who came walking towards her, his hair all messed up.

"I will not stand, for a lowly commoner making a mockery of the Silver Eagles, or the Silver House name." Nozel stated firmly. "She's already brought three of us royals to the ground, I won't stand for this. Peasant, today you die."

"Oh trust me pal." Kali said, taking a crouching position, on all fours. "I'm not the one who's gonna be dying today."

"Tough talk, coming from the barren wench, who can't even have a family of her own." Nozel said.

"Kali what's he talking about?" Asta questioned.

The unknown Saiyan girl stayed quiet as the shadow looming over her eyes lengthened, and she grit her teeth in frustration.

"It's her body." Charlotte said, as Kali remained quiet. "When she sustained that injury on her lower abdomen, she was left unable to conceive any children of her own. An insult I think Nozel took too far."

"Kali." Asta said.

"Nozel Silva." Kali growled. "I'm gonna kill you."

"I'd like to see a commoner like you try now that you don't have the element of surprise anymore."

"This has gone far enough."

Nozel and Kali looked over to see Fuegoleon, standing there sternly, while the pressure of Nozel's magic faded.

"What are you thinking ganging up on a lone youth like this?" Fuegoleon questioned. "Where is your sense of honor?"

"My guess he killed it when he chose to be a dick to Noelle." Kali growled standing up.

"She's calmed down." Asta said, seeing her armor changing from black to red, and the crimson tint leaving her hair. "What a relief."

Kali twisted her head to look behind her when she was calm enough to sense that someone was behind her, and she looked to see Leopold and Asura were behind her.

"It turns out Mimosa was right." Leopold said with a hearty laugh. "Oh yeah, you are one entertaining kid."

"What?" Kali questioned.

"Just wait, he's not done yet." Asura sighed.

"An' today is your lucky day, because I, Leopold Vermilion, have just made you my rival." Leopold said before he began to laugh again.

"An' there it is." Asura sighed.

"Now what was your name again. Katy or something?"

"My name is Kali, Kali Sukehiro." She said, as her Nemean Armor vanished.

"Sukehiro? Well that explains everything about your behavior." Nozel said.

'So Yami went and adopted Kali after all. Good on him. I'm sure he'll make a fine parental figure for Kali.' Fuegoleon thought.

'She's Yami's kid now? Oh man, this will be even more awkward if Yami and I ever get together.' Charlotte thought in frustration.

"Kali, that's right, an' a fine name it is rival of mine." Leopold said patting Kali's shoulder.

"If you wanna keep that arm, stop touching me." Kali said, a tic mark on her forehead. "So let me get this straight, you're related to Mimosa?" Kali asked.

"That's right. Fuegoleon and Leopold are Mimosa's cousins on her father's side." Asura began to explain. "Fuegoleon and Leopold are brothers, making them both my uncles, and Mimosa's uncle, her father's elder brother, is their father. An' Noelle's her cousin too. Her mother was the elder sister to Mimosa's mother. An' this basically makes Noelle and Mimosa my second cousins, since my mother is also their cousin."

"That's kind of a lot to take in." Kali said.

"I know. Just try to understand it slowly." Asura said.

"So, Leopold, are you being serious? Because I've already got a rival, Asura, right behind ya." Kali said. 'Plus he's my secret crush only Charlotte knows about.'

"So? It's not like there's a rule that says you can only have one rival." Leopold said. "Correct me if I'm wrong, but Asura mentioned something about you and your brothers competing against each other to see who becomes Wizard King or Queen first."

"Oh he did, did he?" Kali questioned looking to Asura who was turned away, and whistling innocently.

"Oh, your robe covers them up, and you don't really look it, but those are some big muscles you got there. I expect no less from a rival of mine." Leopold said.

"Again, keep touching me and you'll lose those arms." Kali growled.

"It's really amazing how dumb guys can be sometimes, huh Char?" Sol asked.

"Where are your manners? Hush." Charlotte said.

"Okay, sorry Char." Sol said.

"You will address me as, Captain, Sol."

"Oh, right, sorry about that, Char!" Sol said.

"Sol."

"Don't worry, it won't happen again. 'Kay Car?"

"Oh, do my eyes deceive me, or are you wearing two Magic Knight Robes?" Leopold questioned, noticing the blue of the Blue Rose Knights robe contrasting with the gold trimmings of the Black Bulls robe.

"I was a member of the Blue Rose's for a day, so they let me keep the robe." Kali stated.

"This is an awful lot of excitement for a banquet." Hamon said. "By the way, I wonder how Alecdora is fairing."

"He'll be fine." Kali said. "I kicked him towards the west. Owen's office is in that direction, so he should receive fair medical treatment for his injuries. He'll be out of it for a couple days though, since I broke several of his ribs with that kick, and that compound fracture I put on his arm won't be easy to fix either."

"The way I see it Kali, you were defending your Squad Mate when the Silver Eagles and Golden Dawn started the fight." Charlotte said.

"Agreed." Leopold said. "As honorable as can be."

"A royal has recognized a commoner as his rival. Truly?" Nozel said.

"Remember Nozel. The Wizard King himself, invited this young woman to attend the ceremony and banquet. She is a commoner, but we can still extend a measure of acceptance." Fuegoleon said.

"I would never have expected to hear such nonsense being spouted by a royal. I'm sorry to see how soft House Vermilion has grown, first with the eldest daughter adopting and taking in a commoner monkey, and now for the youngest to accept a commoner as his rival." Nozel said. "You're a disgrace to the family, Fuegoleon."

"What did you say?" Fuegoleon questioned.

"As an eagle soaring the skies, how can I ever accept an insect who crawls upon the ground?" Nozel questioned as the whole tower began to shake, and the remaining windows began to crack.

"We're in for a battle now." Kali sighed, as both Magic Knight Captains let their magic energy loose. Fuegoleon's magic taking the form of a roaring crimson lion, and Nozel's taking the form of a screeching silver eagle.

"Terrible News." Someone cried out, bursting into the banquet hall, interrupting the Mana Battle.

"What is it?" Fuegoleon questioned.

"Sir, the Royal Capital, it's under attack."

"What?" Kali, Fuegoleon, and Nozel practically shouted.
