The fanfic bug has bitten me. It's too late. Too many ideas swarming around in my head.

I tried writing my own sicence fiction a year or so ago. I came up with all kinds of interesting situations and ideas, and millennia-spanning future histories... but I had a hard time creating characters from scratch. Then I discovered fanfiction.

My favorite fandoms have to be Doctor Who and El Goonish Shive. The awesome thing about Doctor Who is that the Doctor can go anywhere or cross over into ANY other fandom with a minimum of disbelief - all of space and time are open to him! And EGS is quite possibly one of the best webcomics out there, if you have not read it you must immediately visit and rectify this situation.

Work on Don't Fear the Reaper, a Doctor Who / EGS crossover fanfiction, has been on hold since I started graduate school. While I technically can arrange my schedule such that I will have time to finish it, this may not happen for a few months. That productive positive feedback loop can be difficult to establish again.
