I am 46 years old, and have four children, two boys and two girls. The two youngest are still living at home, and two have moved out. My son at home is turning 18, the end of the month, and he'll be heading off to college next year. My youngest daughter will be starting high school, next year.

I grew up in the San Francisco bay area in California, but have been living in Northwest Iowa for about the last ten years.

I have a Bachelors degree in Business Administration- Project Management from Colorado Technical University, and I work as a Quality Control Professional for a growing manufacturing company.

I had never read any of the Twilight novels until after the first movie came out, but my kids were reading the books, and got me hooked. We all enjoy reading, and while the kids enjoy contemporary fiction like Uglies and the Percy Jackson series, I have always been more into the Science Fiction genre.

Others like me is the first FanFiction story I've written. I'm also working on another story for twilight, that has more of a SciFi feel, but I haven't posted any of it yet.

3/1/2010: Others like me is temporarily on hiatus.

I've started another story that has been rattling around in the back of my head for a while. It will share many of the concepts I explored in Others like me, but from a different perspective on slightly different Alternate Universe. Chapter one is done, Chapter two is 90% finished, chapters 3 & 4 are started, and I have a 13 page long outline detailed through chapter 11, with plot concepts through about chapter 30. If all goes well, I'll put chapter one up next Friday.

7/19/2010: Sorry about the delays in the next update for The Mating Dance Chapter 13 is almost done and should be posted in a couple of days. I found some really interesting Fics to read, and I re-read through all the Twilight books after eclipse came out. I've also been working on notes and outlines for another Twilight fic that takes a deeper walk on the dark side. Hopefully I'll find some time to work on that too, because I keep thinking about it when I'm trying to work on my current project. I still have 5-6 fic updates to read through, but I've gotten most of them out of system so I can get back to writing.

9/3/2010: The Mating Dance is Still Active, and I'm working on some Chapters for it to continue the story. I'm also working on another new story. I'll see how this goes, trying to balance my efforts between two projects at the same time. I have a tendency to focus on one thing at a time, so it might be a couple of weeks of one, and then a month of the other for a while. Both stories are currently active, and I'm working on both. I'll try and post more pictures as they come up in the stories.

12/2/12: 'Others Like Me' has temporarily been taken down for rewrites. I considered removing a couple of other stories for rewrites as well, but I plan to continue the rest. I just don't know when yet.

12/16/12: I do intend to finish 'The Mating Dance' & 'You Can't Always Get What You Want' eventually. I'll probably complete all of the stories I've started eventually, but it's an Aries thing. I'll work on something for a while and go at it full bore, and then move onto something else. Generally I'll come back later and pick up where I left off and go at it again for another flurry of activity. Unfortunately I've always been like that, and I know it drives some people crazy. I start dozens of projects, and eventually all of them usually get finished, but not necessarily in the time frame or manner that some people appreciate.

In regards to 'The Mating Dance', I've recently been reviewing the outline and timeline to see what I have to do to wrap it up and get to the planned ending. I ended up chopping about a dozen chapters out of the outline that will possibly go into a sequel if I ever get around to writing it after the main story is complete.

I'll probably be posting the odd chapter now and then for other stories, but my main focus right now is finishing 'The Darkest Part of the Night' & 'More Than Human'.

'The Darkest Part of the Night' Is currently planned to be about 45 chapters including epilogue. It's written through chapter 32. If it runs longer than 45 chapters, then that's because I ran long and split a chapter. I'm shooting for around 8k words per chapter, but if I run close to 16k, then I'll break it up into smaller chunks.

'More Than Human' Is currently planned to be about 62 chapter including epilogue. It's written through chapter 40 with about 8 chapters in there that need work to complete. Same deal with the chapter length and splits. I know chapter 37 is going to be broken up, I'm just not sure if it's going to be 2 or 3 chapters yet.

I'm considering re-writing chapters 10 and 15. They deal with James and Victoria, and they're very graphic.

I think I have a plan for finishing 'You Can't Always Get What You Want'. I've gone through several different ending scenarios, and I think I've finally found one that isn't too depressing to actually write, and isn't the same ending as 'The Mating Dance'.

My 'Shades of Gray' (Nothing to do with the popular novel of the same name - I published the title first I believe, or at least I'd never heard of it when I did) Is on the back burner and will probably be renamed before I continue it.

Beyond that, I probably have at least half a dozen stories started in various stages of completion that I've never started posting yet. Most of them are between 3 - 17 chapters in length, but I don't want to start posting anything new until I complete the stories I have in progress. Unfortunately that doesn't mean I won't work on them from time to time. It just means I won't be posting them anytime soon.

Worth the Price - Bella meets James and Laurent in Phoenix. She becomes a vampire before she ever meets any Cullens. She lives the vampire lifestyle to survive but longs for an alternative way to exist. She has other relationships before eventually traveling to Seattle with Alice and Jasper. There are more varieties of vampires than strictly traditional vampires in the story. Eventual canon pairings. 17 chapters complete, 38 chapters planned

X-prize - Seventeen year old Bella was born very smart. Super genius smart. She could be the next Albert Einstein or Stephen Hawking if there was a cure to the rare disease that ails her, but her science of choice is Theoretical Physics and Mathematics. She meets Rosalie Hale in her engineering class at WSU where she's in a special summer program. Bella is trying to learn enough about engineering to build some of the ideas she's designed and make them reality as her legacy to Mankind when she finally succumbs to the disease. Rosalie is gifted in engineering and they team up to join the X-prize contest to build a new type of rocket than can fly equally well in the atmosphere and space. Cullen vampires, Swan Humans, hot pilot Edward. 10 chapters complete, 23 plus chapters planned

Between Daylight and Darkness - Non-canon pairings, Bella x Carlisle story. My version of vampires but less severe daylight issues. Bella starts college and ends up with Alice as her college roommate in the dorms. She's introduced to Alice's older adopted brother who's attending medical school. 3 chapters complete.

Into the Black - Firefly/Twilight crossover. Vampires went public when humans moved out to the stars. The humans have The Alliance and the Volterrans colonized their own worlds. The Cullens get trapped on the wrong side of the line by the Civil War between The Alliance and The Independents. They've been in hiding for years, but they want to go home. They hire a certain rogue freighter captain and his crew to run the blockade and try to smuggle them across the line into Volterran space. Adventure ensues. 3 chapters complete.

Caught on Tape - All Human. Bella Swan is on her way to College when her truck breaks down hundreds of miles from home on the trip to school. It takes all of her cash reserves to get to school but she shows up late, her campus job has been given away, and now she can't move into the dorms early because she doesn't have the job. She's broke with nowhere to go when she's approached by a man with a video camera. He offers her money to be in a film, only it's one of those kinds of films... How far is she willing to go to not have to call Charlie to rescue her when he thought it was a bad idea to leave in the first place? 3 chapters complete.
