"You came early."

Lucius smiles to himself, not having to turn around to recognize the soft lilting voice of Narcissa Black. He lays back against the grass, smiling wider as Narcissa steps fully into view, looking down at him. She had changed from her uniform again. Lucius liked the idea of her rifling through her wardrobe as she searched for an outfit just for him. This time, she wore a little pink dress with a heart shaped neckline. Her cloak was in her arms, Narcissa having taken it off before arriving to meet him and Lucius knew that her in this dress was for his eyes alone. The pale pink dress was the same color as her soft lips, nearly the exact same shade, and he longed to pull her down and kiss her already. "You came early, too."

A smile breaks her face, brightening it. "For some reason, I couldn't keep my mind on my homework."

Lucius reaches up to her, his fingers playing with the tips of hers before interlocking. He pulls her down to him, catching her in his arms. "Let me distract you even more," he says softly, nustling her.

"Why, Mr. Malfoy, I hardly know you," Narcissa breathes out, but she leans in and kisses him softly. Her hand reaches to cup his face and her fingers delicately caress him as her lips intertwine with his.

"I think you do know me," Lucius says softly, his lips moving down to kiss her chin. He pauses for a moment to look into her clear blue eyes. They had widened slightly at his words, but that was the only hint of reaction to his statement.

"Do I?" Narcissa asks him softly, her lashes batting together delicately. Those long lashes framed her eyes so perfectly. They were lovely little orbs, and Lucius could sense a deep warmness beneath their glassy exterior.

Lucius runs a finger along the curve of her face. He nods, giving her another soft kiss. "I can't wait this long between seeing you," he says. "I don't know what you're doing to me, but I missed you."

"It was only a day," she says, but she sighs and rests her head against his shoulder.

"Too long."

She smiles, looking up at him. "You're quite cute when you pout."

"Mm, just tell me it won't be so long each time between seeing you."

She lets out another sigh, but this one is of a disappointed quality. "I don't know how to see you more without raising suspicions. I don't want Bella to catch wise. Not when I'm just barely getting to know you."

"We'll come up with something," he promises, wrapping his arms around her.

"You don't think we're moving too fast, do you?" Narcissa asks him quietly. "I feel like there's still so much I don't know about you, or you about me…"

Lucius pauses for a moment, considering. "Normally, I would say yes," he admits. "For anyone else in the world, I would say yes. But I don't feel that way with you. I feel… comfortable. Connected. But if there are things you want to know, you can ask them, Cissa. I'll tell you."

It's Narcissa's turn to consider and she thinks for a minute. "What are you scared of, Luce?" she asks quietly.

"More than I should be," he admits. He holds her close. There were things that he didn't want to tell her, didn't want her to know about him, or to reveal and feel the shame of it, but she was so gentle when she asked, he felt like he could divulge a bit of himself. "I'm scared of taking over for my Father when the time comes. That I'll be a disappointment to the Malfoy name. I'm scared of making the wrong choices and realizing them too late, when I'm old and grey and miserable."

Narcissa nods, looking up at him from her resting spot on his chest.

"I'm scared I'm as cruel and detached as everyone accuses me of being," Lucius continues softly. "I'm scared of you, Cissa. Of how I feel about you. I haven't been good before with strong emotions, and what I am feeling now with you is stronger than what I have felt with anybody. And you're right. It has been a short time. I shouldn't feel like this so soon. So I'm scared I'll ruin it and I'll lose you." Lucius could feel an almost heaving sensation as he divulges his fears to her. He should feel guarded being this vulnerable, but there was a relief in sharing this with her, and she was still in his arms when he finished, still beside him.

"I'm scared too," she replies, moving in his arms so that she could hold onto him as well. "I'm scared I won't be enough for you. I'm scared I don't have enough practice with this and I won't be able to judge my emotions correctly. I'm scared I won't be able to keep myself tethered if I let myself go now. I'm scared we'll hurt each other. Because of who we are. But is that the truth, Luce, what they say? That you're cruel and I'm cold… Is that t he truth of who we are down to our cores? Or is it just what they told us we were?"

"I won't be cruel to you," Lucius promises her. "Never, Cissa. I don't care what the rest of the world thinks of me, only you. I won't be cruel to you."

Her eyes shine as she looks up to him. "I won't be cold to you, then, Lucius. Let the rest of the world think I'm winter, but not you."

"Then I'm all in, Cissa. Fears and everything with me. You're worth the risk of those fears coming true."

Narcissa caresses his face gently, her thumb tracing down the outline of his face, starting from his forehead. When she reaches his chin, she leans in, kissing him. She rearranges herself on his lap without breaking from his lips, straddling him so that she can kiss him better. Lucius holds onto her waist so that he can stabilize her, but he was quickly falling distracted by the feel of her lips against his. There was a push and pull of their conjoining and parting lips, but it wasn't a power struggle as so many of Lucius's kisses with other girls had been. This was choreography. It was the breaking of waves, tummulting against sand, rising and falling with the tide. Lucius kissed her harder, his lips needy and seeking refuge.

There was a heat permeating from their bodies as they tangle. Lucius loses count of his own limbs as he combines with Narcissa. How could anyone think this girl was cold? How could he have? She was warm and soft and beautiful. Her eyes weren't the color of glaciers and icicles. They were the same shade as melting snow when spring set in. Her lips were flowers budding. She even smelled faintly of fresh flowers. This girl was as warm and inviting as the first day of spring when the sun was finally warming the air.

Lucius could feel the desire growing inside of him as he kisses her. Eventually, he can't restrain himself and his lips break from hers, roaming down the skin of her neck, leaving a marked trail of kisses. His lips find that beautiful spot where her neck meets her shoulder and he bites it sharply, tasting her skin. Narcissa gasps softly, her fingers winding into his long hair and holding him even closer. He kisses the spot delicately next and Narcissa's gasp melts into a moan.

Her breath coming in short little quakes, Narcissa reaches for Lucius and pulls him back to her lips, kissing him with an even greater intensity. Lucius moves his hands from around her waist, tracing slowly up her body. Narcissa doesn't resist as his hands reach her breasts and he delicately caresses them above the thin fabric of her soft pink dress.

Narcissa's hands break from their entanglement in Lucius's hair and move to the buttons on the back of her dress, undoing a few and letting the dress fall open, cascading down her shoulders. It was an invitation, an expression of desire. Lucius flips Narcissa onto her back, laying her down on the grass. Before she can let another gasp out, however, he leans back into her and kisses her deeply. His fingers start at her collarbone, tracing gentle lines as he continues to kiss her. They make their way down her skin, pulling the fabric with them.

Once her delicate white breasts have been exposed, Lucius moves away from Narcissa's lips to kiss her chest, mixing sharp bites with delicate licks and caresses. He was pleased to see Narcissa squirming with pleasure under his touch, her leg wrapping around him and her head tilting back as she lets out another deep moan. "Oh, Lucius…"

Oh god, he wanted her. He wasn't going to be able to control himself. She was too intoxicating, he couldn't think clearly. No, that was an excuse. But god, he wanted her. She was so perfect there in the grass. So beautiful. Her dress was already half off, there wasn't much more to go. Her shoe fell off her foot as she writhed beside him, her leg pressed tightly against his skin. Lucius grabs her leg and brings his mouth to it, kissing her thigh.

She smiles at him playfully from the ground, grabbing his tie and pulling him in to kiss her again. Her fingers start loosening his tie as she kisses him, and she nibbles on his bottom lip in a teasing manner. She slides the thin bit of fabric from around his neck and then her delicate fingers begin to work on the buttons of his shirt. She wanted him, too. This intensity he was feeling wasn't his alone. Just a few moments and they could be in heaven together.

But Rodolphus would find out. Lucius knew that as almost a certainty. He wouldn't be able to keep the joy of the experience from his face, and then Rodolphus would ruin everything by telling Bellatrix. And then it would be over. Bellatrix would ruin it, Lucius was sure of it. She would do something insane as Bellatrix was like to do and then Lucius would never be able to taste this beautiful girl again.

Lucius groans and breaks away, pulling back from a startled-looking Narcissa.

"Is something wrong?" Narcissa asks and Lucius hates the sudden look of vulnerability that flashes across her face. She pulls up her dress back around her shoulders and Lucius groans inwardly, cursing Rodolphus in his mind.

"I'm sorry, my star," Lucius says, trying to soothe her. He leans in and kisses her forehead gently. "I just… didn't think I could control myself for much longer."

"What if I… didn't want you to control yourself?" Narcissa asks bashfully.

Lucius wonders for a moment if he's a corrupting force on this girl. He remembered how fervently she defended her reputation only a few days ago. But now, she seemed deeply disappointed that Lucius had stopped short of ruining that virtuous reputation. She had expressed that she didn't want to be like the string of girls he's dated before, but he was getting dangerously close to playing the same game. He reaches out to her and cups her face, kissing her gently. She's more hesitant in this kiss, confused by his withdrawal. "I want to be with you," he admits. "I really want it. But you deserve better. Better than this, than here in the grass. And I know how much your reputation means to you. I'm not just going to take that from you because I can't control myself. I want there to be time for us. Time for us to grow together. But be patient with me because it is going to be hard to not have sex with you every time I see you."

He can see the flicker in her eyes as she takes all this in, sorting and processing the information he's giving her. "But I want you," she admits. She sighs and pulls away so that she can rebutton her dress. He watches as she loops her hair up in her hands so that it doesn't get tangled in her buttons. Even just this small movement was so deeply beautiful to him and he could feel the pressure in his pants returning. "I didn't expect to feel this way," Narcissa says, laying back in the grass and staring up at the clear sky. "I always looked down at the girls who just threw themselves at any boy who gave them attention… but it's overwhelming, isn't it? I feel as though I'm starving and the only thing that could cure my hunger would be a taste of you."

Lucius nods in agreement. He lets out a sigh and lays down beside her, taking her hand. "I know exactly how you feel," he agrees. "You make abstinence very difficult."

Narcissa lets out a sharp laugh. "Oh, this is difficult for you, is it? What about me, Luce? You've given me the smallest taste of what I could feel, just a little sample, and then you've snatched it away from me. How can I go back now when my eyes have been open?"

Lucius brings her hand to his mouth, kissing her fingertips. "Well, we have another reason for waiting, too, Cissa," he admits.

"And what is that?" Narcissa moans, rolling over so she can lay on his stomach.

"Rodolphus found out about us." Narcissa's eyes widen in shock and worry but Lucius continues on to explain before she stresses too much. "He's going to keep our secret, though, Cissa. He won't tell your sister. But he did have a condition."

"What condition?" Narcissa asks him, laying her head just above his heart.

"That we wait until we've come clean to Bella."

Her head snaps up sharply. "Wait? To have sex? Until we've told Bella? God, no, Luce, that's horrifying."

"That's what I told him and he threatened to go immediately to Bellatrix and tell her exactly what we've been up to. He's cornered us, I'm afraid."
Narcissa groans. "And how we he even know if we had sex?" she complains. "I mean, assuming you don't go immediately and tell him."

"Hey," Lucius says. "I wouldn't. And I didn't tell him about us to begin with. Rods is smarter than he puts on. He was able to tell nearly instantly that we were together. He'd know if we were to escalate things."

A second groan ripples from Narcissa's mouth. "This isn't fair," she says. "Rodolphus shouldn't have any sort of say over our relationship."

"I agree," he says softly. "But I don't want your sister to find out. Not if she's going to try and tear us apart. As good as it would be to sleep with you right now, I don't want to risk losing you over it. Besides, it may be a good thing for us to wait. I don't want you to think that this relationship is just about sex for me."

"Well, I'd like it to be a little bit about sex," Nacissa complains, propping herself up on his chest and pouting.

This elicits a laugh from Lucius and he leans in and kisses her. "I'll tell you what," he says. "You think it over for a few days without me corrupting your thoughts. Make sure you're willing to taint your reputation just a little bit, and that we can handle the risk of your sister. If you're good with that… It would be an honor to fuck your brains out."

Narcissa laughs and hits his chest. It was good to see her with a sense of humor. But also, he meant it. He already knew he was willing to risk just about anything to be with her, and if she was willing to, as well…

"I'll make a night of it, too," he promises her, kissing the tip of her chin. "Better than losing your virginity in a tumble in the grass. Something actually deserving of you."

Narcissa smiles and leans in and kisses him gently. "That sounds wonderful," she tells him. "I suppose I'll… suss things out with my sister. Make sure she won't murder you if she finds out about us."

"Bella can't be as crazy as everyone says."

Narcissa looks at him with a frown. "She most definitely can be," she argues.

He sighs and kisses her again. "Then be careful," he says. "If there's even a chance she'll go crazy about us… We can wait. It won't be too terrible. I mean, I'd much rather have sex with you. Obviously. Immediately, if at all possible. But I can wait. I'm not a complete savage."

"Mmm," Narcissa says, a coy look crossing her face. "And did Rodolphus give an exact line that we couldn't cross before he went to my sister?"

"Not an exact line, no," he replies.

"So…" Narcissa says as her hands go back to the buttons of her dress. "He didn't say a thing about going for a swim, did he?"

"No," Lucius laughs. "Not a word about that."

"Help me with these last few buttons, Luce," she says, piling her hair up again.

Eagerly, Lucius sits up and helps her unbutton the buttons of her dress. He runs a finger down her spine and she gives a satisfied shiver. Narcissa stands up, the dress falling to her hips. She shuffles a little and the dress slides down her legs, landing at her feet. She kicks it off with one naked foot before knocking off her other shoe as well. She turns back to him and gives him a playful frown. She was a sight out here in the clearing, her pale skin glowing in the sunlight and the unabashed look on her face. "You're still dressed," she notes.

This snaps Lucius out of his trance and he jumps into motion, hopping to his feet and unbuttoning the shirt the rest of the way from where Narcissa had left it. Narcissa smiles at him as he gets undressed, going to the edge of the water. She steps into the water before turning back to Lucius.

"You better hurry up or I'll leave you here!" she calls out. "Careful where you leave your clothes, though. Clothes have been known to be snatched up by mischievous boys."

Lucius laughs and shakes his head. He quickly takes off the rest of his clothes, eager to join Narcissa in the water.

"I'm waiting," Narcissa calls out, bending down and cupping the water in her hand. She splashes it out towards the lake, the water trickling down her arm. She wasn't looking back at Lucius as he undressed, but Lucius was still staring at her. He couldn't help it. She looked beautiful standing on the shore.

"You had less clothes than me!" Lucius defends, leaving his clothes in a forgotten pile in the grass. He hurries to the water, wrapping Narcissa in his arms. He picks her up and spins her, loving the feel of her bare skin against his. She lets out an uninhibited laugh, holding onto him tightly as he spins, the water splashing around them. Slowly, he lets her sink back to the ground, but keeps her tightly in his arms. "You know," he says softly to her. "You have to be careful out here. I've heard there are mermaids in these waters."

Narcissa scrunches her nose with a short laugh. "Come swim with me, Lucius. You don't need to worry about the mermaids. I'll take care of you." She slides her hand into his and pulls him out further into the water. Once it's deep enough, she dives into the wake, her body stretching out before disappearing under the dark water. She breaks the surface after a moment with a smile, the water rippling down her face and hair.

Lucius swims out to join her. She was now swimming on her back, her face in the sun, much like how he had come across her days ago. "You're different in the water," he tells her, swimming beside her.

"I know," Narcissa admits. Her hair swirled out around her and Lucius thought she once again looked like a mermaid out here in the water. "I feel different when I'm out here. It's not as good as riding, but it's close."

"I was never much good at horseback riding," Lucius says, smiling as he examines her.

"I don't believe that," Narcissa says, looking over to him. "You're an excellent quidditch player. They're not too uncommon from each other."

"I suppose so."

Narcissa smiles at him slowly, moving closer to him and wrapping her arms around his neck. "What did Rodolphus say about snogging?" she asks. "Is that off limits, too?"

"Not a word about snogging," Lucius says, wrapping his arms around her waist. It was an enjoyable feeling to have her legs kicking besides him as she worked to stay afloat.

"So we're in no danger if I do this…" Narcissa says, leaning in to him and kissing him.

It was distracting feeling her naked body pressed against his and have the taste of her in his mouth, but this was the kind of distraction Lucius was more than happy to indulge in. The saltiness of the lake mixed in with their kisses and his tongue searched out hers, their arms twining around each other as well. They didn't seem to notice as the sun got lower in the sky, casting warm shades of orange and yellow across the water. They were too lost in the feeling of naked skin in water, in the taste and smell and sensation of each other. In fact, neither had any idea of how long they stayed out there in that dark water, twisting around each other.

It was almost completely dark when they finally made their way to shore, helping each other redress. Lucius grabs her hands and grins, bringing it to his face to inspect it in the dying light. "You're all pruny," he tells her with a laugh.

"As are you!" Narcissa accuses. "You're as withered as a Grindylow."

He smiles, pulling her in closer and kissing her. He grabs his wand and uses it to dry her up, returning her skin to its usual smoothness. "When will I see you next, little star?" he asks her softly, pushing her hair back from her face. "It was too long last time."

"Tomorrow night," she says, eager to see him as well.

Lucius nods eagerly before frowning. "Oh, Cissa, I can't. I have quidditch practice tomorrow night. For the rest of the week, besides for our game on Friday night."

"Then we'll spend Friday night together," she says. "We can easily slip away with everyone celebrating your inevitable victory. And until then… Oh, I can't go without seeing you, Lucius. It may kill me."

"Then we'll have lunch together," he suggests.

"Where?" she says miserably. "We can't eat in the Great Hall, Bella would see."

"An empty classroom, a study room… I don't know. But I'll find us a place, okay? Just give me a day to find us somewhere, okay?"

"Too long," she moans, but leans up and kisses him. "But find somewhere good. Somewhere where no one is going to stumble in on us."

He nods. "I will," he promises, kissing her in return. "Now we should probably go in separately… We'll look suspicious enough as it is. Go on, little star. I'll see you soon."

Narcissa pulls him down for one last deep kiss. "Goodbye, Luce," she says sadly, tearing herself away and heading back into the trees. Lucius sees her turn around one last time to look at him before she's swallowed up by the magical trees. God, she was beautiful. Truly, the most beautiful thing that Lucius had ever seen. He had to find a way to spend more time with her. He was missing her touch already.
