Poll: For my Despicable Me fanfic what would you be most interested in happening? These are just vague ideas and I'm interested to see what you think. Pick two. Vote Now! |
Author has written 22 stories for Danny Phantom, Lilo & Stitch, Despicable Me, Gravity Falls, Randy Cunningham: 9th Grade Ninja, Ninja Turtles, Undertale, Steven Universe, Milo Murphy's Law, Psychonauts, DarkWing Duck, Amphibia, Infinity Train, ParaNorman, and DuckTales. Hi! I'm MayDayGirl-Save-Our-Ships, although I used to be DP-Shrine-In-The-Closet-Girl. So either call me May or Shrine, but people usually call me May. I was born May 1st 1991 (I'm getting tired of having to update how old I am every year, so you can do the math). I'm currently getting my hours to be licenced as a therapist. I love talking to people, so if you ever want to message me about anything please feel free. My best friend tooblondforu is on here, and she has quite a few fics you should check out. My deviantart page: dpshrineinclosetgirl I can't draw though, so you will probably only find more fanfiction there. My Tumblr: Stories: Mystery Kids and the Case of the Whispering Rock- Norman, Neil, Coraline, Wybie, Raz and Lili arrive at Grunkle Stan’s Summer Camp with the hope of having a summer of fun, or in the case of the two Psychonauts, with the intent of investigating a psychic disturbance. When they meet two twins that seem to be experts on the secrets of Gravity Falls, they find themselves reluctantly teaming up. But how much can they actually trust each other? There are secrets in this town, but more surprising are the secrets being kept from each other. For extra stories and more details go to my side tumblr: Fukai Mori: Deep Forest-Vlad has a few new tricks up his sleeve and gets the Teen Titans to capture InvisoBill for him, but what happens when they finally meet? cross over. (update: this one probably wont ever be finished I'm sorry.) First six chapters are by LaBOBuren Intangible Trust- AU "You may not be afraid of me, but I am." Danny has just moved to Amity Park a year after gaining his powers. He's had to deal with his secret alone all this time. Can he let Sam and Tucker into his life? What happens when they find out the truth? (I need to rewrite this one day) Kia Kahi- Stitch reflects on his Kia Kahi, his true purpose. He was built for destruction… and despite Lilo’s best efforts, the temptation is still there. But even when he slips back into old ways, why does he still feel so lost? (Lilo and Stitch) Completed. Despicable Days- Gru attempts to fill his role as a father while the girls settle into their permanent family. However, with a Super Villain father and three girls with wildly independent spirits, no task is simple and no day is boring. (Despicable Me) Is It Crazy You Think I’ve Gone?- Lucy never expected falling in love with an ex-villain and his family was going to be even remotely normal, but after learning the real circumstance behind the girl’s adoption, she starts to see that this family is even stranger than she imagined. She often wonders what’s more insane, her new favorite family, or the fact that she loves them anyway? (Despicable Me) I will get back to this story. I'm so so sorry. I don't know what happened to my inspiration but it will come back. The Town That Makes Everything Else Seem Normal- Norman is forced to spend the rest of his summer in Gravity Falls, Oregon. He has already accepted that this new town is going to hate him, so he just wants to make it through the summer without drawing too much attention to himself. However, when he finds himself trapped by a creature that shouldn’t exist, he doesn’t expect to be saved by two twins who seem to know more about this weird stuff than he does. In fact, compared to them, he was downright normal. Once Upon A Shooting Star-Dipper makes a deal with Bill to save his sister’s life, but while Dipper is trying to fulfill his end of the bargain, Mabel learns a little more than she expects about the demon. Is there really more to Bill than the twins thought, or is Mabel just too trusting for her own good? Future stories (that may or may not ever come out): A Lot Like You- Chell’s daughter has free rein in Aperture, the place the former test subject once considered to be Hell. And the babysitter? None other than the devil herself. (Portal) A Perfect World Begins and Ends with Us- Short stories about the new and improved Emperor and his relationship with his kingdom and his favorite peasant family. Ruling a kingdom is a lot harder with a conscience… (The Emperor's New Groove) Misery Loves Company or Best Enemies- A year since Zim learned the truth and was abandoned on earth. Everything has changed, and yet, nothing at all. A truce has been established, but that doesn’t mean they have to like it, besides, they had always been better enemies then friends. ZADF Advice for New Story Writers Just little tips for people new at writing stories. I know fanfiction is just for fun, but it helps to have some level of professionalism in your work. Don't put, 'I suck at summaries' in your summery, or anything to the like. I always skip over stories that have that. After all, if you can't write a summery and have confidence in it, then how can you write a story? Be proud of your work; confidence attracts readers. Don't interject you're own comments during the story. Don't add in the middle of a paragraph in parenthesis: 'Idk I couldn't think of anything better', or 'this is my favorite part'. You can add an authors note in the beginning and/or end. That's the perfect time to talk about your story. Don't apologize for what you have written. If people don't like it, then you don't need to make excuses like, 'I was tired when I wrote this'. As long as you liked it, or enjoyed writing it, then that's the most important part. If you don't like it, then this is the perfect opportunity to change it, or leave it up for people that will like it. Part of writing is practice. We all have to start somewhere. Grammar is also important for new writers. You're story doesn't have to be flawless, but check out how everyone else structures their dialogue and paragraphs. Making things as readable as possible will keep people interested in your story. I hope this didn't sound too preachy or anything. It's true that some of these are pet peeves of mine, and this was a kind of a rant... but just small things like this can improve your story and attract readers that might otherwise miss a wonderful story. Quotes "The difference between the right word and the almost right word is the same as the difference between lightning and a lightning bug." -Mark Twain "Hate is by far mans longest pleasure, they love in haste, but detest at leisure."-Unknown "A cynic is really a frustrated idealist"-Unknown "There is no point in being grown up if you can't be childish sometimes" -Doctor Who (Tom Baker) "Writing is easy. All you have to do is stare at a blank piece of paper until your forehead bleeds." -Douglas Adams "The heart of hearts. It is, by definition, the one play where we cannot fool ourselves." -Robert B. Cialdini "Never doubt that a small group of committed citizens can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has." -Margaret Mead "There is a snail paced gait for the advancement of new ideas."- Tomas Jefferson "Patients with circumstance is perseverance. Patients with people is mercy."-Unknown "We can never discover the true essence of human nature, for human nature is always in the process of redefining itself."-John B. P. Shaffer “Pessimists are usually right and optimists are usually wrong but all the great changes have been accomplished by optimists.” - Thomas L. Friedman "Courage is not simply one of the virtues, but the form of every virtue at the testing point." -CS Luis "We contain multitudes, which has always strengthened us." -John Green "If the human brain were so simple that we could understand it, we would be so simple that we couldn’t." -Emerson M.
