Ok so I finally finished the 5th chapter. This is kind of important I added Kawaki to the story I have been thinking about doing it since the beginning I finally took the leap and did it. Why is this important because I am making Kawaki Hinata and Naruto biological son. I do know that he is not but I have never read a story where he was the bond between him and the family would be better. But any way this is only the first chapter for him I have more in store so please tell as the story continues if you think I did it justice.

Chapter 5

Hinata woke up in a panic she had the strangest dream. She was in a dark room, and she could hear voices they were saying something about getting something, but she couldn't hear what it was, but she did hear them say they needed a Hyuga but for what. Her memory was all over the place she might actually know something important if only she could remember it.

"Onee-san it's time for breakfast" Hinata heard Hanabi's voice coming through the door "I'll be right out" she responded getting out of bed and getting ready before making her way to the dining hall where all of the Hyuga main branch eat breakfast.

Before she reached the hall though she was stopped by Hanabi "Onee-san we are not actually eating there we're eating in one of the smaller dining areas so come on" Hanabi says then starts walking toward their destination "so why are we eating in the smaller one" Hinata asks remembering that her father always ate with the rest of the main branch so that they could continue their discussions on the politics of the clan.

"Privacy plus otou-sama prefers to spend time with his grandchildren without the prying eyes of the elders" Hanabi says in a matter-of-fact kind of way Hinata just nods her head understanding how intrusive the elders can be.

"So are Naruto and the kids there" Hinata asks Hanabi to which she nods "do they spend a lot of time in the Hyuga compound" Hinata asks wondering why everyone is so comfortable with them here last she could remember almost no one came by the Hyuga compound unless it was for official business.

"Umm… I wouldn't say a lot, but you guys do come whenever you can. You, Otou-sama, and I have been training Himawari since we found out she has the Byakugan, so she spends the most time here Boruto comes sometimes too, Naruto comes when he needs to talk to otou-sama and Kawaki almost never comes around here." Hanabi says with a smile recalling all the times they have spent together.

"…Kawaki who is that" Hinata asks not having heard the name "Oh he on a mission so I guess you haven't seen him yet he's you and Naruto's oldest son" Hanabi says in a matter-of-factly kind of way feeling kind of stupid for bringing him up without thinking about how Hinata would react.

"Oh… we have three kids together" Hinata whispers with a big blush on her face. They continue their walk till they reach the dining area where everybody is already waiting for them. When she entered the room, she was greeted with Himawari running towards her and hugging her legs "Good morning mama" Himawari says looking up at Hinata and smiling not letting go of her legs for a second. She smiles back at her "Good morning" she says first to Himawari then at everyone else in the room.

"Now that everyone is here why don't we all have a seat so we can begin to eat" Hiashi says as calm and collective as always.

They all eat together with little conversations popping up here and there but nothing so interesting until Naruto starts talking "So I was thinking that me and Hinata can go to the house and look around see if that stirs up anything in her memory" He looks at Hiashi and Hinata as if to ask if it was okay.

"I think that it is a good idea exposure to her normal environment can be good as well as doing the things that she would normally do" Hiashi says giving his approval. "So, after we eat, we can take the kids to school and then head to the house" Naruto says this time speaking directly to Hinata. "That sounds good Naruto-kun" she says at him "Oh… Naruto-kun I-I was wondering I-if you could tell me about Kawaki" Hinata says putting her index fingers together.

Before Naruto can even respond to her Boruto jumps up from where he was sitting with an annoyed look on his face "Tsk… why do you want to know about that idiot all he ever does is kiss the old man's ass" Boruto yells out "don't listen to him Nata he's just jealous because Kawaki has been to busy to spend time with him he adores his older brother" Naruto says rolling his eyes at Boruto.

"N-N-N-Nata… N-N-N-Naruto-kun you just called me Nata" Hinata says shocked that he has a nickname for her "Oh yeah sorry I'm just so used to it I forgot that it might make you uncomfortable" Naruto says scratching the back of his head a slight blush on his cheeks. Hanabi laughs a little at their interaction "oh this takes me back" she says mostly to herself Hiashi just gives a small smile and nods.

"You must be going if Boruto and Himawari want to make it to school on time" Hiashi says to Naruto and Hinata "Oh yeah that right Bolt, Hima go get your stuff so we can leave" Naruto says then stands up "I will be waiting outside for you guys… Otou-sama, Hanabi the kids and I will be staying at our house from now on unless something comes up I will keep you informed on the investigation and anything else that comes up. I will see you later" Naruto says bowing Hiashi before making his way out he is then followed by Himawari and Boruto.

Hinata stands up to follow but is stopped by her father "Hinata I think that it would be best if you stay at your house with Naruto and the children you are more likely to remember things there then you are here. Plus, your children would really miss their mother if you were not there" Hiashi says to her nor once his expression changing "yes Otou-sama" she says with a bow before heading out to meet Naruto and the kids.

After they drop Boruto and Himawari off at the school Naruto lead Hinata back to their house "So this is home" he says opening the door. As soon as Hinata enters she notices how beautiful the house was "Wow Naruto this is a lot better than your old apartment" she says to him "Well yeah… thanks but this is your house too" Naruto says shyly.

"I'm going to take a bath and change you can look around the house while you wait but I promise I won't be long" Naruto says to Hinata before heading upstairs.

Hinata walks further into the house looking around at anything interesting that she sees. She eventually stops at a wall that is filled with pictures of them and their family. There was a picture of when Naruto became Hokage, another of Boruto and Himawari when they were born, the last picture that caught her attention was of the four of them but there was a fifth person she guessed that it must have been Kawaki her other son.

As she was looking at the picture, she heard a noise by the front door not knowing what to do Hinata ran to the kitchen to hide the door opened and she could hear the person coming inside what if it was her attackers coming back for more she thought and not knowing whether to fight or hide she stayed put.

"Okaa-san I'm home… I know that you weren't expecting me till next week, but I finished early… Okaa-san you here" Hinata heard a voice say then she heard the footsteps walking in her direction not knowing what to do she stood up and came face to face with the person who had entered the house.

"Oh, there you are I thought maybe you weren't home" The man said "Um… hello Naruto is upstairs taking a bath he should be down soon" Hinata says not knowing what to say to this person.

"The old man's here" he says looking back but then faces Hinata again "… hey you okay your acting strange" he says looking at her intently "oh yes I'm fine but I think that you must talk to Naruto" she says and backs away from the stranger who looks vaguely familiar.

"Hinata, should we make something to eat, or should we go out" Naruto says coming downstairs and heading towards her and the stranger "Otou-san I'm here too" the man says which stops Naruto in his tracks "… Kawaki what are you doing here you aren't supposed to be home for another week" Naruto says looking at Kawaki "… Your Kawaki" Hinata says out loud by accident.

Kawaki looks at Hinata strangely "who else would I be Okaa-san… is she ok Otou-san" Kawaki says look back between Hinata and Naruto. Naruto lets out a sigh knowing that this might happen, but he had hoped that she would be better by the time Kawaki came back from his mission "It's complicated… Your mom lost her memory she doesn't remember anything from after her fight with Pain" Naruto say to Kawaki and his face changes from confused to shocked.

"Wait what, but that means she doesn't remember me or Boruto and Himawari… do you know what caused this or how to fix it, how long has this been going on for I've been gone a month and you didn't feel the need to inform me that my mother doesn't remember me" Kawaki says ranting.

Hinata doesn't know why but she put her hand on his shoulder hoping that it would calm him down a bit. "Look go report your mission and then go hang out for a while we will talk tonight just leave me and Hinata alone for a while. We have somethings to do and talk about and its best that you aren't here," Naruto says to Kawaki and looks between him and Hinata "Ok I'll be back for dinner" Kawaki says then looks back at Hinata with a sad look in his eyes before heading out and closing the door behind him.

"You alright I had no idea that he would be back home if I did I would have warned you" Naruto says putting his hands on her shoulder which makes her blush "It's okay Naruto this whole situation is complicated for both of us" Hinata says trying her hardest to look at him and not blush but is failing Naruto smiles at her and pulls her in for a hug which makes Hinata blush even more

"I'm sorry I know that you aren't used to this from me at this age but I promise that I stop being so dense and realize how much I love you. I just miss this you know you greeting me at the door no matter what time I come home with a hug and a kiss, telling me about your day and asking about mine over tea then us heading to bed. I got so used to it that I didn't notice how much I missed it over this week you were on your mission. Now you don't remember our life together and I will do anything to get it back," Naruto says into Hinata shoulder her blush not disappearing, but she was now understanding just how much it was affecting him.

In a way he had lost his wife "I'm sorry Naruto-kun I wish that I could remember for you, for the kids. I'm sorry" Hinata says on the verge of tears her own emotions swelling up.

"Kami now I made you cry" Naruto said hugging her tighter. They stay like that for a minute just letting their emotions about the last day all come out not hiding anything.

Afterwards they went to the kitchen to cook together Hinata laughing at Naruto's stories about their kids enjoying the moment of peace but still know that there was a looming threat.

What neither of them knew was that the threat would come to pass sooner than they thought.

Okay so I know that Kawaki is a little OOC but i feel like he and Hinata would have a very good relationship and his relationship with Naruto will still be about the same. Tell me your thoughts about how I could improve the story. Thanks from the Mad-Scientist.
