![]() Author has written 8 stories for Pokémon, Batman, and Sherlock Holmes. A little bit about me: In case you're wondering, I chose the nickname Detective Desires because I'm a fan of Detective Comics, and I also like "ships" (as in "relationships") of various characters within that story universe. I'm not that big on mystery writing, unfortunately, so the nickname doesn't mean I write detective stories (Well, actually, I'm trying my hand at mystery writing in prep for National Novel Writing Month, so there is that). Maybe one day I will write more mystery stories. I also might change my nickname if enough people tell me it's odd and can help me think of a better one. I've worked as a professional writer of short non-fiction pieces, but my fanfic isn't perfect. What I'm up to now: I might have taken a break from fan fiction writing to pursue some of my own ideas, but if you are interested in one of my stories and want me to continue it, feel free to message me. It may just be on hiatus, or I may be in the process of finishing it. Types of stories I like to write: Stories where the characters who are traditionally the villains team up with the characters who are traditionally the heroes are nice. I also like to write stories where characters swap roles, such as the villain doing something heroic and/or the hero doing something villainous. Let's not forget anti-hero and villain protagonists. I love these kinds of characters! Also, depending on how bored I am, I may accept requests or even participate in a writing exchange. You never know. You can always message me and ask. Favorite fictional characters (heroes): Wesley (from The Princess Bride) Charlotte A Cavatica (from Charlotte's Web) Superman (from the New Adventures of Superman)--how can you not love this OP glass cannon--well, if kryptonite is involved? Plus, as Clark Kent, his relationship with Lois Lane is just adorable. Batman (from Batman: The Animated Series, the Arkham games, and various media)--he seems like he really understands that people are seldom "pure evil" or "irredeemable," has refused to kill even the vilest of his enemies, and has even reached out to try to rehabilitate them, even though those efforts were often rejected. As far as superheroes go, his tendency to try to put himself in his villains' shoes and even develop empathy for them makes him unique and likable. L (from Death Note) Matilda (from Matilda) Raiden (from the Mortal Kombat series) Favorite fictional characters (anti-heroes): Gwenpool (from the Gwenpool series) The Mask (from The Mask movie, animated series, and various comics) The Jokester (from the Countdown series) Harley Quinn (from Batman: The Animated Series, DC Superhero Girls, the Arkham games, Harleen, and the Injustice series) The Joker's Daughter (from various comics, but I'm not that big of a fan of the rebooted version of this character) Favorite fictional characters (villains): (Most evil to least evil) The Joker (from various media, but I'm not a big fan of Jared Leto's Suicide Squad Joker) Galactor's Berg Katse (from the G-Force series) The Koopalings (from the Super Mario Bros. and Super Mario World series) --I liked the versions where they were actually Bowser's kids, though. It was a funny dysfunctional dynamic, and it softened Bowser a bit more. I know he has Bowser Jr. now, but it's not the same. Team Rocket's Jessie, James, and Meowth (from Pokemon) --They're so bad at being villains and so good at almost everything else, including playing anti-heroes; how could you not love them? Favorite fictional characters (honorable mentions): Sherlock Holmes (from various media, including the original novels)--I didn't list him as a favorite hero or anti-hero because I wasn't exactly sure where he would fit, but of course, I like the original misanthropic detective that many other characters copied. Pretty much every new iteration of this character brings something beautiful to explore. Yoshi (from the Super Mario World series)--I like this green dino with an appetite and a baby's voice. Plus, the "Mama Luigi" episode was entertaining, especially when Bowser met Yoshi for the first time and was completely overpowered! So, maybe that's why he isn't allowed in castles? Most of the Pokemon that look like cats (Pokemon)--I'm a cat person, so of course, I would like cat-like Pokemon, including Mew and Mewtwo. Sans (Undertale and Deltarune)--I like Sans' dialogue during the No Mercy run, but most of the other stuff about him I like isn't canon but is instead fan-made. Still, I think he's an interesting character. Mondo (Pokemon)--he's a member of Team Rocket who helps Jessie and James; he might have appeared in the anime as former Team Rocket member Christopher, but I don't know for sure if they are the same person. Jeannie (I Dream of Jeannie) Kitana (Mortal Kombat)--I'm not sure if she counts as a hero, anti-hero, or villain, but this is one tough thousand-year-old princess! I still remember the part of the episode when she casually threatened Kung Lao and had him on his knees. Deadpool (various media)--sometimes he's too silly to be enjoyable, but other times the comedy hits really well.
