Sailor Moon said. "The reason Jadeite couldn't be found was because he betrayed you."

Tuxedo Kamen nodded. "By the time we got to the Moon, Nephrite, Zoisite, and Kunzite had been turned and it was thirty minutes after our arrival when they led the attack on the Moon." Sighing he said. "Now that's sorted, why did you choose Fukushima?" After a pause, he asked. "City or Prefecture, and does Chibiusa know which one?"

She chuckled. "City and it doesn't matter which Chibiusa picks. Even if she tells them Fukushima Prefecture, they're going to assume I'm in Fukushima City because my grandparents are the only relatives I have there. It's far enough away my parents won't realize I'm not there and I doubt they are going to call to confirm.

He nodded. "Were you planning on staying here on the Moon for the entire week without telling anyone?"

Sailor Moon sighed. "Yes, but Chibiusa is probably mad I didn't tell her where I planned to go. She may have contacted the senshi."

He said. "I need to go back. I'm supposed to help Motoki at the arcade tomorrow. We can find out if Chibiusa made your family think you're in Fukushima and then check in with the senshi so they don't worry. You can stay the night with me and come back in the morning." She agreed and they began walking out of the records room. He said. "However, before we leave, I want to skate."

Sailor Moon's mind was elsewhere as they ice skated. She wondered if Neo-Queen Serenity regretted choosing Endymion. What if Chibiusa didn't do anything and her family was angrily waiting for her to come home? Were the senshi looking for her? Summer break would be over soon and school would start again. She was not looking forward to it. She felt bad about not trying to spend as much time with Naru. It wasn't fair to her since she didn't know time had been reset. As far as Naru knew, everything was happening for the first time. Sailor Moon knew Naru would eventually abandon her, so she kept her distance. Her mind went back to Prince Diamond. Was he really from the Moon or was that a lie? How do they find that out?

She wondered, why bother? Were they destined to reset time after each enemy? Were they destined to relive the same year over and over? She didn't want that and for her to become Queen of a palace in Crystal Tokyo, they obviously don't. Sailor Moon wondered if she could transfer ownership of the silver crystal to Sailor Venus. The senshi was a much better leader. She was so focused on her thoughts, she didn't see Tuxedo Kamen approaching her and slid right into him.

He wrapped his arms around her, having been prepared for the impact. She wasn't going that fast, so he managed to keep them from falling. Whispering in her ear as they glided, he said. "You can tell me anything and I promise I won't tell anyone." As they came to a stop, he let go of her and she faced him. The concern was evident in his eyes. He saved her once, but would he do it again?

Tuxedo Kamen said. "We can teleport to my living room." She nodded and they stepped off the rink, their skates disappearing, and they teleported back to Earth.

Sailor Venus didn't think those two were ever going to come back. She wanted to jump up and say it was about time they returned, but she kept still, keeping her presence hidden. Her butt was past hurting and was starting to go numb. It wasn't anything new when it came to staking out a place, but she was getting impatient. Tuxedo Kamen… he had been hiding in plain sight the entire time. She spoke sternly.

"Chiba Mamoru"

They whirled around as she flipped on the lamp. The startled look on his face was well worth her butt nearly going numb. Sailor Moon spoke. "Venus..."

Sailor Venus stood. "Chibiusa has your family thinking you're in Fukushima for a week." She looked at Tuxedo Kamen. "The King told me who you are. No one else knows, but they do know I'm contacting you. The King made sure they understood to not ask about your identity or where you're at. Except Artemis, he knows. I'll tell them you're fine." She sighed. "The reason I'm here is to let you know Rubeus is back and he brought reinforcements."

Tuxedo Kamen asked. "Is Prince Diamond here?"

She shook her head. "Not that we know of, but he's brought four sisters. We've only seen two of them. There will be a meeting at 8 in the morning to discuss what to do. Princess, where will you stay since you can't go home?"

Sailor Moon said. "I'm staying the night here."

Sailor Venus narrowed her eyes. "I hope someone is sleeping on the couch."

Tuxedo Kamen nodded. "I will be sleeping on the couch. However, am I supposed to be at the meeting?"

She shook her head. "No. We use our group being all girls to help disguise the true reason for our gathering. Grandpa Hino and Yuuichirou are the only ones who might interrupt us. So far telling them we're having a girls night or there's no boys allowed has worked. You attended the impromptu meeting after Prince Diamond took Usagi, but we were lucky Grandpa Hino and Yuuichirou were out during that time." He nodded and she sighed, disappointment briefly showing on her face.

Sailor Moon asked. "Is there something else?"

Sailor Venus said. "It's nothing, but I've always wondered what happened between you two on the roof that night. I asked the King and he wouldn't tell me. I remarked that I'd just have to wait until it was time for me to find out… and he shook his head. He told me I'll never find out. Whatever happened… you two kept it a secret for over 900 years. Anyway, I need to go before Artemis decides to come look for me."

After Sailor Venus left, they detransformed and he showed her to the bedroom. She said goodnight, climbing into bed while he grabbed a blanket and a pillow and went back to the living room. Pulling the cover over her, she thought about what Venus said. Would he really keep it a secret? Closing her eyes, she tried to sleep, but sleep wouldn't come. The Spectre Sisters were already here and the clock was ticking on when Prince Diamond expected an answer. She thought about the offer he made and looked at the clock. Only thirty minutes had passed. Usagi decided to speak to one of the Spectre Sisters. She would make a counter offer. Throwing the covers back, she eased out of bed.

Usagi carefully made her way to the window, but stopped when she realized she would have to transform. Carefully leaving the bedroom, she listened for any movement from Mamoru. Hearing none, she stayed next to the wall as she went down the hallway. She took a deep breath as she looked around the living room. There was very little light, and she could just barely see the furniture. She slowly crossed the living room and thought she had a clear path to the door, but stubbed her toe on the side table.

"Usagi?"

Her shoulders slumped in defeat as the lamp came on. "I didn't mean to wake you. I was just-"

"Sneaking out?" Mamoru sighed as he sat up. "Where were you planning on going?"

Usagi sighed. There was no point in lying. "To see the Spectre Sisters and make a counter offer."

His eyes widened. "Usagi, you can't go charging in alone and what do you mean by counter offer? Did they make an offer?"

She said. "I'm supposed to be meeting them in about a week."

Mamoru patted the cushion next to him. "Please, sit and explain."

She sat next to him and said. "I guess I should start from the beginning. I lied about how I escaped Nemesis." He listened as she explained what had happened. "Then before he let me go, he made me an offer. Should I change my mind and want to return to Nemesis, I'd tell one of the Spectre Sisters. That isn't why I was going tonight. I thought I'd suggest focusing on defeating Wiseman. If we work together..."

He said. "I doubt Prince Diamond will listen. He's already lied once to get you to go with him."

Usagi sighed. "I know that, but he said Wiseman is behind this and wants to destroy everything. If I can get Prince Diamond to stop focusing on me long enough for us to defeat Wiseman..." She shrugged. "I don't know, or maybe we could..."

Mamoru shook his head. "Let's discuss this in the morning. We're not going to be helping anyone if we don't get rest. I'll share the bed with you." Shaking his head, he quickly added. "Not like that, I just mean in case he decides to come for you. He had been nearby when you were in the park so he's able to find you." Nodding, she stood and they went to the bedroom. He said. "Try to get some sleep. Who knows, you might dream of a good-looking man." He grinned, obviously referring to himself.

She shook her head. "I can't dream of romance."

His smile fell. "What do you mean?"

Usagi said. "Whenever I think someone is attractive, they appear in my dreams and try to kill me. If I dream I'm on a date, then my date suddenly becomes possessed and tries to kill me." She wondered if that's why she was having those dreams of Mamoru disappearing. "Like, one of my favorite bands. I was watching one of their videos and thought the guitarist looked adorable. Two nights later, he appeared in my dream all psychotic and with a knife, yelling at me that he wasn't adorable and he wasn't a damn teddy bear."

Mamoru blinked. "That's… not cool. This happens every time?"

She nodded. "Sometimes it spans across multiple dreams. The dream I just told you about, two weeks later, the lead singer appeared in a dream. He pointed his sword at me, forbade me from thinking anyone in his band is attractive and threatened to cut my heart out if I continued to think such things." She sighed. "A few months later, I was watching a movie and thought an actor was good-looking… two nights later, the lead singer appeared in my dream all menacing, shadowy, a little more than a silhouette and he sternly said. 'I thought I told you to abstain from such thoughts?'." Shrugging, she said. "I have no idea why it happens."

Mamoru wasn't sure what to say to that and he definitely didn't have an answer for why it was happening. Then he thought about himself and asked. "Hey. What have I done to you?"

Usagi was confused. "What do you mean?"

He said. "We were in love in the past and like each other in this life. So, what have I done to you in your dreams?" She crossed her arms, looking away. He moved to look her in the eye. "Usagi?" Did he do something horrible to her in her dreams… or… what if… she hadn't had that type of dream about him because she didn't like him? He wanted to ask her several questions about a lot of things, but he didn't want to push her away.

She sighed, shaking her head, finally making eye contact. "It doesn't matter." She climbed into bed and he sighed, climbing onto the other side of the bed.

Usagi stared at the ceiling, wondering if the dreams were Neo Queen Serenity telling her to walk away? Maybe it was to keep Endymion safe in case she was attacked? Maybe something happened in the future and Neo Queen Serenity regrets living, but after hundreds of years and a child who can't rise to the throne, she can't leave. Usagi sighed, wondering again if she could transfer ownership of the crystal to Sailor Venus. The senshi was a better leader and was able to conceal her presence so they had no idea she was in the living room when they arrived. She'd look into it and if so, transfer it once the Black Moon Clan was defeated. After that, she'd leave. Maybe she could try living somewhere else, but... if she transferred ownership of the crystal, would she no longer have power? Would she not be able to go to the Moon? Usagi sighed. She could stay a senshi so she could go to the Moon when she needed to escape, but live somewhere else. Either way, something had to give. Something had to change. She had to get out of that house. She wanted to scoot closer to Mamoru and ask him to hold her, but she didn't know how he would feel about that. Instead, she rolled onto her side, turning her back to him.

AN: The first song I have on a playlist for this fic is: Thinking Out Loud sung by Lesley Roy. ... note: this is not the Ed Sheeran song. Totally different.

I thought the lyric (in first verse) was "I'm needing you now" but the internet says it's "I'm needing it now." Still hearing "you" but it's a great song regardless of which is correct.
