Summary: Suggestion from a guest: Takes place before the team found out Dick's identity, after Auld Acquaintance. Weird topic to write on, but I've written weirder so it's fine, and I've already done something similar to this but with Zatanna being the crazy one. Sorry if it's not good

Back during Dick's last checkup following a mission he had sustained a few injuries on, Leslie recommended he get his wisdom teeth removed, and despite his extensive protests, Bruce thought it was a good idea. "I can't risk anything for you in the field, and you've recently been distracted by the growing pains, so you're getting them removed. End of discussion." Dick couldn't really argue with him because they were annoying the hell out of him these past few weeks. He could be easily distracted by the pain in his jaw, and he had even had to call off a date with Zatanna once because his mouth was killing him. It had gotten to a point where she had offered to use magic to remove it, but Dick told her not to worry about that and he would be fine.

Bruce was glad he had left Alfred behind. The number of swear words Dick had let loose after the sharp pain from the procedure kicked in would have made the old butler pass out. Grayson was not one to swear very often, at least not at this point in his life, so even Bruce was surprised at the use of vulgar language, though he didn't care for it as much as Alfred. Leslie was quick to hook the Boy Wonder onto loads of painkillers, despite his protests. Dick didn't like using painkillers, he saw them as a drug that he didn't want to rely on all the time, but Bruce convinced him it was for the best. He also told Dick he was off patrol and he was to be confined to the hospital for at least an hour, which he was less than turbed about but quickly silenced his complaints once Bruce said he could stay overnight at the cave with Zatanna.

Zee arrived at the hospital about 30 minutes later, and Bruce had left for a WayneTech shareholder's meeting. Once she arrived, Leslie signed off on Dick being good to go so long as Zatanna watched over him for the night, though she warned Zee that Dick could be a little...emotionally unstable. Side effect of the painkillers. Great. So not only is my boyfriend hurt, he's crazy. Well, craziER.

Dick woke up a few minutes later, and just like Leslie warned, he was completely out of it. Everytime Zatanna would say one of his made-up words, he would burst into giggles like a kid, even letting loose his signature cackle at times, which Zee actually found kind of adorable. He couldn't walk straight, he would keep slipping and stumbling over his own feet, and Zatanna was practically his living crutch, which she didn't really mind because it was kinda nice having Dick so close to her. What she did mind, though, was how...gushy he was being to her. Every 5 minutes he would try to make out with her, which was getting annoying since they were still trying to walk back to the Zeta tube. It started with him giggling while tapping her nose, saying "You're pretty", which made her smile and blush a deep red. She loved the affection, and he continued similar acts of gentle love for a few minutes. At an intersection on the sidewalk, while they were waiting for the cars to pass, Dick looked over to her, staring at her intently for a few moments before speaking. "You're really cute, Zee." Zatanna turned redder than Wally's hair as she tried hard to fight the giddy smile that was coming to her face.

"Th-thanks. You're not so bad yourself." Dick grinned as they started to walk off. It continued like this for some time, Dick giving her a sweet and touching compliment and Zee blushing over it. But pretty soon, Dick had stepped up from simply complimenting her to trying to pull her into deep kisses or other overly intimate positions. Normally, she would be fine with it, but the problem was that they were currently in public, and he was hopped up on a lot of pain meds, meaning he wasn't exactly in the right state of mind. It felt wrong kissing him when he was like this, so she tried not to. But Dick had other ideas. It weirded Zee out to no end, it wasn't like him to be this...forward. Normally, her boyfriend was rather timid, not wanting to start something unless he was 100% sure she was up for it. She was usually the one who started most of their moments of intimacy. But here, Dick was behaving like a completely different person, which she found extremely annoying and also a little disconcerting. As they had stopped at another light, Dick pulled Zee to him, smacking his lips onto her own and humming. She tensed up for a bit as her eyes widened. "D-Dick...n-n-not he-here." The intoxicated Boy Wonder was not listening, though, choosing instead to deepen the kiss, and so Zatanna gently shoved him off while doing her best to hide her beet red face and hoping nobody was watching them.

5 minutes later and Zee had had enough. Dick was a giggling mess, and once they had reached the alley with the Zeta tube, he yanked Zatanna into his arms and cackled while mushing their lips together. She would be lying if she said she didn't enjoy it, but she quickly broke off and glared at him. "Okay, until you can learn boundaries, you're gonna have a nap! Og ot peels!" That should keep him busy until the drugs wear off. Dick quickly passed out, and Zatanna did her best to carry him to the tube, which was easier said than done. God, he's heavier than he looks! Zatanna managed to lug him through the tubes, only for Connor, Megan, and Wally to blankly stare at her when she arrived.

"Were you attacked?"

"What? N-no. Long story. Just...can you..." Connor nodded, knowing what she was referring to, and picked up the sleeping Boy Wonder, depositing him on his bed in the cave. Zatanna thanked him for his help and sat down next to her boyfriend, passing time on her phone while occasionally looking over to check on him. Man, he looks really cute when he's asleep. Zee grinned as she reached over to pinch his cheek, and she couldn't help but giggle at him as he groaned in his sleep and turned his body over. He unknowingly reached out to grab the loose fabric of her tank top and tugged on it, literally whining in protest when it wasn't coming to him. She smiled at his actions and sighed before putting her phone on the table and shifting over to let him snuggle up to her like a kid, quickly falling asleep with him.

Zatanna awoke a few hours later to find Dick stirring, and she smiled before sitting up a bit. He groaned as he opened his eyes, smiling softly at the sight of his girlfriend. God, my head is killing me! Is this what a hangover feels like? "Hey, what's up?"

"Well..." Dick cocked his eyebrow. Ah crap. Please don't tell me I messed something up.

"What? Did something happen? I was kinda out of it, I don't really remember much."

"Let's just say we really need to have a talk about personal boundaries."

"Wait...what now?"

I hope this is what you wanted in the suggestion, if not just leave another comment specifying what more you wanted to see and I'll address it. YJS4 came out today, and so far it's not half bad. Though I don't care that much about the Martian plot. The intro was the best part of the episode imo, it's amazing. Seeing Zatanna and Rocket in the intro makes me so happy, same with Dick's new suit. I'm still holding out hope that Chalant makes a comeback in S4 but the odds are sadly slim, though seeing Zatanna get more focus will be nice. Oh, well, thank god for fanfiction.
