A/N: Yes! Izuku's quirk is based off of Tokyo Ghoul kagunes and all! I like basing my fanfictions quirks and all on some tv shows or animes! I have another one in mind, just a Izuku/ Hado, not going to start until I am done with ATLAS or this one.
I have no clue why the spacers weren't added! Apologies if reading it was a bit uh.. Funky
OWL II:
"Young Tsukauchi! Good to see you. How have your parents been?" The blonde man asked in front of him. He considers him the best uncle he has, well. The only uncle. His mother had been an only child and his dad had Makoto.
He gave the tall man a hug, "It's good to see you Uncle Yagi!" A smile graced his lips, "They're doing well! They were moving today and their stuff had already arrived. Minus mine, they're supposed to be shipping it right now. It will arrive in a few days since I chose the boat transport option. But, it gives me enough time for my small vacation break."
"If only I would've thought of that, my boy." Izuku fell over, not prepared for another sack of weight on his back.
"Izuku!" The voice cried out.
"My laptop is in the bag." He whined and felt the weight lessen, "You know we can fix that in no time." Melissa clicked her tongue.
"Yeah." He shrugged, "I'd rather finish paperwork without a break before vacation can start." He whooped.
"I finally get to see my favourite cousin and you're just going to do paperwork?" Melissa pouted.
"Melissa," He looked her dead in the eyes, "I'm your only cousin."
"And?" She scoffed and rolled her eyes. Izuku just grinned, "Well, let's put my stuff away, and then we can go do some cousin activity together."
"Am I getting left out?" Toshinori said.
"Cousin and uncles activity." Owl corrected himself.
"You go to daddy and I'll stick with Izuku, Uncle Tosh!" Melissa said and grabbed Izuku's arm, dragging him towards the exit of the small cafe.
The barista just looked at the two confused before nearly dropping her plate at All Might. Izuku snorted, totally forgetting that the man was in his muscle form.
"Good luck with the fans, All Might!" He waved mockingly and followed Melissa out. He grinned as he put his stuff in the back, "I've missed teasing our dear Uncle." He sighed.
"You take too much pleasure in it."
"Please, when is the time you can bully the number one hero internationally?" He scoffed, "Captain Skywalker taught me how to do all this when Yagi visited. Seeing the number ones goof off together as a kid, really really gave me teasing rights."
"Who knew that the pro hero Owl ranked two internationally, would be so immature?" Melissa said as she stopped by the red lights.
"I don't know, ask the fans." He rolled his eyes and looked outside, "You don't know how relieved I am to walk around without having to do anything to hide my identity."
Melissa frowned, "L told me you were doing a face reveal."
He nodded, "It's honestly the best thing I can do now, mom and dad are retiring soon and will live in a gated community. Auntie Makoto is probably going to be my manager. She did bring it up once."
"Family business, huh?"
"You're already part of it as my lovely costume designer and provider of my dear support items."
"You fully know as well that we work on those together."
"Yeah, but still. We work on it together, as a client and provider should."
"Good point." Melissa said as she stopped the car, "Your stuff is heavy so, I'll make myself useful and just open the doors instead." She stepped out and skipped up to her house.
He quickly followed and grabbed everything out of the car once again, walking inside the house he noticed the extra pair of shoes, "Since when do you have a roommate?"
"Tell you in here." She said, muffled.
Izuku followed the voice, "Isn't this normally your office?" He asked and looked at the empty desk. The room was now transformed into a blank room. Melissa stood by the closet, blankets in her hands.
He set his stuff aside and helped her set up the bed, "So, the shoes?"
A blush came on her face, "They come over whenever they can."
Izuku nodded, "Ohh.., you're moving.. as well?"
"How'd you know?" She looked at him suspiciously.
"You left your papers on the table." A smirk came on his face, "Who's the lucky gal?"
"Not gonna tell you~" She sang. Izuku just clicked his tongue, "So mean."
Melissa sent him a smirk and shrugged her shoulders. "We should get an apartment near each other."
"Oh my god." He buried his hands in his hair, "That's what I forgot. Melissa."
"Yes."
"I forgot to go apartment shopping."
"For a guy with a lot of degrees." Pause, "You're stupid."
He slammed his head against the closet, "Let's look together for one, shall we?" Melissa perked up, "Yes we shall."
"Great! We should get one next to each other, and easy access to a stocked fridge." He smirked.
"Easy access to your books." Melissa countered.
"Easy access to your workbenches."
"You'd have one of your own."
"Fair point, let's look for one." He said as he took the laptop out of his bag.
"Let's look for one in the living room."
"Does Uncle David already know of this?"
"..." The only thing that came from Melissa is silence. Izuku's jaw dropped, "You're moving without telling your dad?" he smirked, "Who's now the idiot?"
"No!" She threw her hands up, "I just..forgot."
"How long have you been planning this?"
"Two weeks."
"When I told you I'm moving to Japan?"
"Yes."
"So you're doing this for me and mystery gal!" He smirked, "You really like that person huh?"
Blood rushed to Melissa's face, "Yes, yes I do." She said, muffled. Hiding her face behind her arms.
Izuku sniffled a laugh, "You're taking over my habits now."
"What habits?"
"The 'hiding your face when blushing'."
"They're not your habits anymore, they're mine now."
Izuku sighed and walked into the living room, "Let's actually be productive."
Melissa soon entered with two wine glasses and a bottle of red wine.
"Do grapes have spinal fluids?" He questioned.
"You literally have a biology degree and an EMT diploma." She facepalmed, "I'm literally not answering that question."
He rolled his eyes, "Geez, it was just an anime reference." Taking a sip of his wine, he clicked a button and it was projected on her tv.
"So, which area?"
"Maybe we should have a house instead." Melissa said, "Apartments are more prone to sound complaints and you've lived in one. How was that for you?"
"Well, constantly going up the elevator and paying a lot more for privacy."
"So what if we just buy a place next to each other and merge gardens." She offered.
"Let's not merge gardens," A smirk came on his face, "I'm building a gun range."
An exasperated sigh came from his cousin, "Of course you would. It's part of your costume right?"
"I only wear it on my night outfit with a silencer." He said, "I think it's too dangerous to wear during the day. Kids are way too curious sometimes."
"Speaking out of experience?"
"Out of someone else's but still."
"Why have a gun on you though?"
"A gun is faster than I am." He pointed out, "If i'm going to fight some quirk erasing villains, i'll literally not be invincible. And that's why I carry a gun on me."
"Good point." Melissa said and filtered the houses, "So houses next to each other?"
"Yeah."
"I got something."
"I see." A smile appeared on his face, "This is going to be so cool! Can we go thrift shopping for this?"
"Yes!"
"That's great I got to call mo-" A phone call interrupted his sentence, he slowly gave Melissa a confused look. Melissa just shrugged at him.
Izuku then just quickly answered the phone call, "Tsukauchi."
"Young Tsukauchi, we texted you the dinner reservations an hour ago. Where are you two?" A booming voice rang.
His face paled, "W-We'll be right on our way Uncle Toshi."
"Uhu, I'm waiting." he said and hung up the phone.
"Melissa, get in the car. Right now."
She nodded and ran out.
"This weekend flew by way too fast." Izuku complained as he dragged a few boxes in the back of a truck. "But we get a lot more time to move in somewhere." He shrugged and sent a look at Melissa, "You'll get to see your secret lover. Still not going to tell me?"
"You'll see eventually." She rolled her eyes, he had been pestering her the whole three days, in hopes of her being annoyed enough to tell her. "You're going to be stalking my house for a while." She smirked, "I'll invite my dear lover, whenever you're at work."
He gasped, "You evil woman." With a laugh she walked back inside.
Izuku then got an idea, and unlocked his phone. Calling the person that must know who it is.
"Settimo! Settling in?"
"Tsukauchi. I've been enjoying Japan so much. The stores here are open all the time! I'll literally berate you for not moving the agency sooner. I've checked in with the others and they've been living their life."
"That's good to hear," A genuine smile entered his face, "Say, you're close with Melissa, right?"
"Izuku, I'm not telling you."
"High betrayal." He said and stopped the call.
"Stop pestering Settimo." she dusted off her hands, "I think that's it!" She said and squealed, "When is our plane going to be?"
"We might already want to leave." Izuku said, "They have good food at the airport."
"That's true."
"Makoto is late." Izuku said as he clicked his tongue. his outfit completed with a surgical mask and a cap to hide his vibrant hair.
"Leave Makoto alone." Melissa said as she jabbed his side. "She's busy working."
"Yeah, on my debut in Japan."
"So you did hire her!"
"Well yeah! My other PR manager wanted to stay in the USA. I gave her a bonus of course. She is a single mother."
"You're not into single mothers." they went like that to one another for a while.
They continued bickering until a giggle was heard from next to them, "Like siblings fighting, is that how we look all the time Izuku?"
The two turned around and faced their favourite manager.
"Well, mom said that not too long ago." Izuku retorted, "How are mom and dad?"
"They're good, ecstatic to be back in Japan. Dad said that your stuff doesn't arrive until after dinner time, so you're joining him to do something." She shrugged when her basically little brother sent her a confused look.
Izuku shrugged, "Doesn't sound like I have a choice. He probably wants me to help him with a case."
"Hey Makoto! Where is your car? These suitcases are heavy." Melissa interrupted as the silence started to settle.
"Yeah, right!" She snapped her hand and turned away, "Well, follow me!"
"You should wear your day costume." His dad said, "Without a mask, or until we're in his office."
Izuku just finished the mask out, "I'd rather wear my mask until my debut."
His dad nodded, "Did you get your vehicles registered by the gate? I heard that they're very secure about that part."
"All three of them." He said and stepped into the passenger's seat.
"Good." He nodded and started the car, "This man already knows of your identity. I consulted him when you started showing genius level signs."
Izuku nodded and changed the topic, "I already told you about the place I bought, right?" He asked, as he quickly sent off a text to his cousin, 'I'm not working but tell your mystery lover I said hi and the whole speech with it.'
"I believe not, do tell me about it."
"So it is a two story house, with an attic and basement. With the kind of pastel cream coloured outside walls. The inside is just very traditional with plants. There are about 4 bedrooms, including the attic. It also has a balcony!" As he kept talking about the place, the car came to a halt.
Izuku looked up and he saw the familiar building, his childhood dream. "U.A.? I'm meeting Nezu?" He asked. his mind started going haywire, 'Nezu, also known as Mr. Principal. One of the rarest cases, an animal with a quirk. No-one knows what kind of animal he really is, thus making him a chimera, with a very high IQ. Scar over his right eye, experimented on by the humans.' He cringed, 'Developed a kind of sadistic side, as Uncle Tosh said. Might've been experimented with different kinds of smoke or some part of his brain, maybe triggering easy addictions.' The muttering inside his head stopped once he heard his dad move around. Opening the door, the two Tsukauchi's stepped out of the car.
His dad nodded and walked through the gate. Izuku sent a wave at the camera, "He must be watching, no barrier came up."
"Good observation." A robotic voice said, out of, the tree?
"Thank you." He said and bowed slightly.
"You're japanese is still good for being raised in the USA."
"Can't forget a language if you're always talking in it." He looked around, "Where is your office?"
He was just aimlessly standing, talking to a tree. His dad just nodded along with their conversation.
"If detective Tsukauchi could lead the way. We can have a conversation face to face. It's still the same location!"
"Right." The older man said and walked, and Izuku followed.
Once they reached a huge door, they knocked and walked in when given permission. "Hello Nezu, good to see you." Naomasa said as he held his hand out.
After they shook hands? Paws? Hand and paws? The chimera turned to Izuku. "Hello young man. You can take your mask off here."
Izuku did so and he held his hand out, "Izuku Tsukauchi, sir."
They shook, whatever. And sat down in the seat in front of him. "Good to finally meet you, Izuku. Thanks to your and other scientists' papers. Quite a lot of things have changed here at school."
They made him perk up, "Such as?"
"Quirkless teens are more accepted. We're the one of the only three hero school's that do allow them." A pause, "Al though, I have a question about a certain line."
"Ask away."
"With any support items, and the correct use of it. Quirkless and quirked are equals on power grounds."
"That is pointed out to emitter quirks. I recently heard of the winged hero, Hawks. Build a pair of wings, and you'll be a winged hero as well. I know his feathers are sentient but still. The main purpose is to fly.
As to other elemental things, you can easily make an overpowered blow dryer, and you'll have an elemental 'quirk'. Same goes for flamethrowers." He leaned over, "Such support items are based on what they can't achieve with their own quirk, they're just boosters or tools to enhance your performance.."
Nezu nodded, "I can see your reasoning. Say, I have another question."
"Ask away." He repeated with a smile
"You finished studying quirk theory and many more things. Why not become a teacher instead?"
Izuku's lips twitched up a bit, "I had thought about it, but my main goal has always been to be a hero. So I set the right priorities and continued with the hero course."
"What if," A pause, "What if I could offer you a position as teacher and you'd still have your career as a pro hero."
"That.. Sounds very appealing. What subject would I teach?"
"Quirk theory, it's vital for being a pro hero." A projection appeared between the two. It was a student, fighting a villain. "This is one of our students, he had seemed to be caught in a villain attack on his way to school. Not knowing the villain's quirk, he just happened to power it up. My student had a butterfly quirk. Whilst the villain had an insect controlling quirk. Said student required back up and kept fighting hand to hand until another pro showed up to the scene."
"The students should've seen the amount of insects terrorising the citizens." He pointed out, "I could see some fumes coming off of him, so the villain could have been releasing or even breathing out the thing that controls them."
"Correct." Nezu nodded, "I want you to think about my offer. Your working hours here at U.A. will not cross your working hours out in the streets. I know you tend to be active during the night. One of our 2-year long teachers had been balancing it out perfectly."
Izuku nodded and noted it down mentally.
Nezu continued, "There will be an open bar in the bar across from the school. We've hired it out for our personal use. To celebrate, school starts in about two weeks. If you give us an answer in a week, we'll be more than happy to take you."
Izuku nodded and slid his personal card over, "You may send me the location and time of the party at the bar. Since my agency doesn't open until nearly all of my sidekicks here in Japan are settled in well enough. My calendar will be clear until it opens."
"Nice to hear, I'll send you the address and further questions about your released papers." Nezu said and 'smiled' at Naomasa. "Your mother in law had been alerting me that she wants to talk to you two."
"Grandma Chiyo!" He said excitedly to his dad, who nodded in return, a smile gracing his face. "Let's go visit her, shall we?"
They shook paws and hands again and left the office, only to encounter another pro hero he recognised, Snipe. Izuku quickly shambled his mask on, mentally slapping himself in the face for forgetting it. "Hello." He nodded, "You're the pro hero Snipe right?"
"Yer' that's me."
"I have a question about your guns. What kind of modifications do you have?"
"Mostly just the bullets and a different more explosive gunpowder, I kind of base my guns off of sci-fi movies."
Izuku brightened up, "I've noticed, I also had a feeling your first time shooting style was inspired by cowboy bebop."
"It is!"
"Awhe man that's great!" Izuku cried out. When he felt a nudge in his ribs, "Oh if you'll excuse me." He bowed his head, "It was nice to meet you, the name's Owl!"
"Snipe!" The man scratched his head as he recognized the familiar name, he entered Nezu's office. "Sir, I seem to recognize the man's name, but I cannot remember where?" He asked casually.
"I believe that you mean Owl?" Snipe nodded, "He's number two."
"But number three here is Endeavor."
"Internationally, Snipe."
"Holy shit."
Nezu just cackled as he lit his cigarette. "Indeed, holy shit."
"About the schedule, Nezu sir-" The two continued to converse behind closed doors, although Mr. Principle had a plan formulating in his head.
A slam was hit on the top of his head, "You didn't think of seeing me earlier? You're in Japan for about 5 hours and no, 'Hey! Let's go see my favourite grandma."
Izuku rubbed the top of his head and sheepishly said, "Well, you're kind of my only grandma."
Another crane on top of his head, "Watch your tone, young man!"
"Yes ma'am!" He straightened his back.
"How has your kagune been?"
"Ah,..The one that had been ripped out? Growing at a good pace."
A sigh came from her, "How does your quirk even get ripped out!"
Izuku made it appear out of his shoulder, a sort of wings of fire popped up, they were small, but surely still growing. Right now it reached up to his biceps, originally it was double his arm span.
"Does this affect your kakuhou, or however you call it?"
"I'm the first one with this kind of recorded quirk." Izuku shrugged, "Looked like cool names at the age of 6, I don't think the villain got to the roots. It only got to a bit above the base. The other kagunes aren't affected."
A green sort of tail came out of his tailbone, ironically enough. A soft green glow radiating from the quirk, with the end of it representing a sort of crab claw mixed with a scorpion tale. It was about half of his hips, making it a decent thickness. With one red eye and black pupil he looked at her and swung it around carefully.
"These function just fine. But I don't like using my quirk in the open."
"I know you don't sonny, but you are already so high up in the ranks without using it too much and relying on the given strength really says a lot." Another slam, "You should use it more! For your own protection."
"I'm getting beaten by grandma." He said under his breath. He raised his head, "I'll invite you to my house soon! Once it's finished and I'm settled in. I know you missed Settimo, we'll make some delicious pasta"
She kissed the top of his head, "You better, Settimo is a good one! It's also great that you took over part of your mothers regeneration."
"He sure did, but we honestly don't know where the ghoul part came from in the family tree." Naomasa interrupted
"Most likely a mutation." His grandma shrugged, "It sure didn't come from your side of the family, nor mine."
Izuku shrugged, "Just built different," he joked and then pointed to his back, where the quirk's organs were, "Literally."
The older adults sniffled a laugh and stood up. Coincidentally, Izuku got the notification, "Dad, the boat arrived earlier than normally, something about a nice hero with a water quirk?" He questioned and shrugged. "They're going to bring it up to the house in two and a half hours. So, that means if mom finished dinner by the time we're back." He clapped his dad on his back, "You can help me move!" He smiled at the older man.
He just chuckled and nodded, "I'll help you move, you'll have to do the rest on your own tomorrow."
"Dope! I'll pester Melissa until her stuff arrives."
Another bonk on his head, "Also, don't go overboard! I sure know a few of them do." She muttered the last part.
He waved his hands, "No worries! I think.. I'll have Melissa and Makoto on speed dial? Even Settimo!"
His grandma just huffed, his dad checked his watch and ruffled his adult son's hair, "Let's go kiddo."
"Dad, I'm literally 25."
"Okay, and?"
"And I don't have a defense."
"Just admit you like the nostgalgia."
"Yeah I do." The two Tsukauchi's stood up and bowed before leaving the room. They strolled through the empty hallways. Waving at the blinking cameras. "Is he always this stalkerish?" Izuku asked.
"I think so, I didn't even notice the camera before you waved at it." his dad said and shrugged.
He felt a jab on his side, "Not so observant huh, detective."
The man snorted, "You wish." They soon entered the parking lot and Izuku gaped at the old school car in a spot, "That's a '69 mustang Fastback. The paint job," He did put a hand over his heart, "Amazing."
The man just laughed at his kid, quite the car fanatic.
"I believe those are all the boxes. None of them were damaged due to one of our guys' quirk." The supervisor of the moving company said,
"That's great! Thank you for your hard work!" Izuku said and bowed to the man.
The man smiled and bowed back, "Thank you for hiring us."
"Anytime!" He smiled and waved as the whole group of movers left the place. Izuku then opened the door to the living room and looked at the amount of boxes. He had sent the parent back home when his back began to act up.
He walked over to the basics box, his couch, table, his favourite desk, chairs and coffee tables. He might've added the espresso machine.
As a pro hero who mostly works at night, it was very much needed, with his body also being different, his taste buds enjoy the coffee bean tea.
Checking his watch, 1347. Shrugging, he activated the voice control. "ATLAS."
"Yes sir." It replied in english.
"Call Melissa."
"Calling Melissa Shield." the ringing tone indicated that she got the call. After a slow three seconds she picked up.
"What?" She asked annoyed and out of breath.
"Can you come over?" He said, "You need to help me unpack." He plopped onto his couch.
"I-" She said muffled and a hushed voice was heard. When Izuku couldn't recognise it, his jaw dropped.
"Melissa." He deadpanned, "Are you getting some?"
"I-Izuku!" She scolded, "N-No!" Movement was heard. "Be home later!" She panted and hung up.
The pro hero looked down at his watch, dumbfounded. "Oh, she is totally getting some." He joked but turned quiet. Tiptoe-ing to his window, as if he would be caught and arrested. Looked out of the window at her driveway, "No car. They must be at their place." He clicked his tongue.
Standing up and walking over to the kitchen box. He grinned as he took out his french press, "Quick coffee!" He cheered, honestly, instant coffee on planes aren't that good, he doesn't even trust the kettles they use, when was the last time they cleaned it, huh?
"ATLAS! Put my 'moving into my new house playlist' on! Connect it to the box in my backpack."
"Connecting.." The voice said, "Playing, 'Moving into my new house playlist.'" Izuku grinned as he heard the best riff played, ever. Bopping his head he split the boxes off in the different floors he'll be using. "This goes upstairs." He muttered, "Clothes, office, hero stuff and all, bed frame, Closets," He snorted, "L's favourite closet." He joked, "Nightstands and a box full of the randol stuff that was in there? Yup." He squinted his eye and snapped his fingers, "Books!"
He scratched his cheek, "Should I make the bedroom the library?" He asked himself, realising he can't choose for shit unless it is a life or death situation. He chose the smart way.
"ATLAS! Call Settimo!"
"Calling Settimo." This call went over for about half a minute until an annoyed voice rang through, "What."
"Wanna come over and help me decide the smallest things that I'll be second guessing for a whole week?"
"What is in it for me?"
"No physical labor. Free drinks and dinner, most likely sushi."
"I already have your address, be there in 20? Or 10, I don't know how fast the roads are here." The call ended and the music continued.
He rubbed his hands together and picked up a few boxes to put upstairs in the hallway. Doing that until the door was thrown open, "I heard an idiot that cannot go without me!"
"That's me!" He said and waved at the woman.
The woman snorted and opened the fridge, "Mine isn't even this full!" She exclaimed and looked at her co-worker, "My cabinets are though, the sweets here are so good."
A small smile graced Izuku's lips, "Oh Settimo, I have missed you so much." He said dramatically, "Crack me a cola please."
"Isn't soda bad for you? Being a pro hero and all?"
"I honestly, don't care. As long as I am in top shape." He gave her a thumbs up as he held the cold beverage in his hand, "Grandma Chiyo missed us."
"She missed me." the italian rolled her eyes, "You just get on her nerves."
He brought a hand and pressed it against his heart, "I would never."
She snorted, "Sure."
Izuku grinned, the grin that Settimo is afraid of. "Guess who I called earlier?"
"Surprise me."
"Melissa."
"You always call her? What's so different about this call?"
"Well," he scratched his cheek again, it's a habit he could never break, "She was a bit out of breath."
Settimo frowned, "Isn't she at her-" Her eyes widened, "No."
"Yes."
"You did not!"
"I accidentally did."
"You dumbass!"
"I didn't know!" The man shouted back and groaned as he took a sip. "She's coming over later."
"You're so wrong for that."
"I didn't know."
Making eye contact with one another, nodding, they took a sip of their drink. "What did you need help with?"
"I wasn't sure about making the attic a library or a bedroom." He said and spread a blueprint of the building in front of her on the kitchen island.
"Bedroom." She pointed at the room with the balcony, "Make that the library and add some small things like an easy get together kitchen."
An idea sparked in his head, "Dude, genius." He grinned, "What if, I get one of those medium-sized globes, and just make it a hidden liquor storage?"
Settimo pursed her lips, the two were both spy movie fans. It didn't take long until she replied, "Yes."
"Cool." He had his phone in his hand, "'Cause I am already ordering one." He tilted his head, "Should I have one for my pistol too? Like maybe make a compartment in the wooden frame holding it up?"
"I mean, just make sure those guns are registered and boxed in specially, you'll be fine otherwise."
"Never thought you'd support me." He said and rolled his eyes, "I'm definitely doing that."
"Izuku, we both know how to shoot guns."
He tilted his head, "Since when do you know?"
"Since I became your secretary." She scoffed and folded her arms, "Villains try to get to you and threaten me."
"I remember that! I got the guy locked up after half an hour."
"I decided to learn to shoot guns after that." She leaned a bit closer to him, "Do you get that rush too?"
The guy had a pursed smirk on his face, "Yes, I do."
After talking with one another for so long, Settimo flicked his head, and decided that the two needed to start with the house. The italian just ordered the guy around and ordered the things he needed to make it really feel like home. Which included a lot of American stuff.
"Say, Settimo. Underground gym."
"Sounds good, better than a whole ass workbench. You'd explode half of the place again." She said annoyed. When the two just started working together, Izuku decided that he needed a place to repair and build his support items, so he chose the damn basement. After a kind of big explosion, it left the old building a bit shaky.
He rubbed the back of his neck, whilst the face turned red. "We had a lot of complaints about the smallest of explosions since then."
"And who had the deal with them?"
"Your assistant."
"Me-, oh yeah, right."
He bursted out laughing, and tapped the kitchen island, "Hologram in the marble or from the ceiling?"
"Ceiling, I can't be a raging alcoholic that has to make sure expensive stuff way out of my paycheck gets fried."
"Good point." He wrote it down in his little notebook. Now holding the sticky notes in his hands, he grinned. "Let's look around!"
Opening a door to see a big sized room with a connected bathroom, which had a tub in it. It's amazing, "Shit Izuku, how much rent do I have to pay when I move in?" She whistled.
"As much as I love you." Izuku started and turned to face her, "Absolutely not." Shaking his head.
"You're no fun." Settimo pouted.
He walked back into the hallway and smacked the door with a sticky note, 'My bedroom'. The next room he wandered into is a decent size room, he could see himself making it his office, even though he has one at the agency. Privacy at home is always the best, fun fact, considering living in his agency, really smart idea but at the same time, fans would literally camp outside his agency and slow his sidekicks down.
There was a pillar at the side of the wall, well, it was for the chimney downstairs. Izuku looked at it, armoured closets with mannequins of his two costumes? Yes. Absolutely yes.
Walking out whilst conversing with Settimo. The two continued placing stickers on doors of the other rooms. So far he had a spare bedroom, another spare bedroom, a bathroom, a storage place, a small mini closet for his dryer and washing machine. He was sure of what to make of the attic. He wants to have gaming entertainment somewhere, but it fits his living room better.
The dining room was spacious enough, there was a sliding door between that and the living room. Luckily, it will be easy enough for him to soundproof the place. So so happy, he brought his electric guitar with him.
"Okay, so nearly everything is ordered." He said as they once again ended up in the kitchen. A carton box pushed aside until needed. Once he received a nod from Settimo, he opened the laptop and placed it so that both of them could see. "Choose a menu."
"It's already time?" She questioned and blinked, "1830, damn Melissa, where you at man?" She groaned, "I'll select my shit while you go over your goddamn bill."
"Yes sir!" He straightened his back and looked at the website they're using. "This is already a lot." He sighed, "I'm so glad I brought everything with me here."
"You should be." Settimo grumbled, "Damn bill is like, my whole paycheck with my monthly bonus."
"I don't give out a bonus that many times."
"I literally order one thing and you drop 1K in my hands, you're like, my sugar daddy."
Izuku blinked, "No."
They shrugged, "Whatever suits you. We don't need a label." She attempted to wink at him.
After a five second period of awkward eye contact, the two burst out laughing. After they calmed down, Izuku spoke up once again, "I got a job offer."
"As a side kick?" Settimo snorted.
"As a teacher." Izuku looked at her.
"Will it mess with your hours?"
"No. Only daytime hours but I barely do those."
"Then take it." Settimo took a swing of her drink, "You always jump at the chance to do anything that has to do with speeches in schools, or even live streams about quirks."
"You really think I should?" He asked, you can never be too sure.
"Yes. You should take it Izuku."
A splitting smile came on his face, "Maybe I should." He hummed.
Settimo checked her watch and a look on her face appeared, confused or smug? He can never tell the difference with them. "Where is Melissa at though?"
The door was slammed open and a red Melissa marched out of the hallway. Izuku grinned when there was something off of her walk. He shared a knowing look with Settimo and just waved at the blonde.
"Hey Mel!"
Once the blonde said nothing and stood next to the guy, "You have the worst timing ever." She said and began to repeatedly slap his shoulder.
Izuku just stood there watching, not really feeling anything. "We just ordered food, are you full or did you already eat?"
"I wasn't that full so I didn't eat at theirs." Mel replied, still slapping his shoulder. Once another minute passes, she stops and sits at the kitchen chair, "Hey 'Timmo! How you been?"
"Good, I'm waiting for my promised sushi."
"Did he have to pay you to help?"
Izuku just gaped at the two, "I-! What, I just said that she just needed to help me make choices!"
"He convinced me when he said that he would pay for dinner."
"So, the usual." She then leaned over to Settimo, "I have more tea to tell!"
"Am I getting excluded in my own house?" He asked himself but swiftly shook his head, "Order your food." He said and unlocked his laptop.
Once Izuku was home after dropping off Settimo at her apartment, he decided to go outside for a stroll. Not really knowing where he was heading, he approached a lonely figure by the fire. "Hey kid!" He said cheerfully, making sure that the figure didn't feel threatened.
"H-Hello sir!" They nervously replied, "Who the hell are you?" He quickly said after a nod of the head. Now seeing the figure, or well boy.- slightly better thanks to the fire he frowned a bit. The teen had sunken in cheeks, as a person he just knows that this is a boy who got left behind, all alone.
His blond hair and grey-blue paranoid eyes looked at him. Izuku just kept smiling, "Do you know the way to XXX?"
The blond-haired boy leaned over suspiciously, "What are you going to do once I tell you?" Another nod, "Please stay! I just want a friend" The hero's eyebrow irked up at the last sentence, the guy said. Nodding, he sat down on one of the broken chairs, right across from the boy.
"You may call me Midori from now on." Most people don't like the name Tsukauchi for the reputation he made in the two countries, USA and Japan. Normally, he would use his mothers name. But they are currently using that name for their house and properties. One deep dive into the web and you'd find all the information.
Since Izuku's hair is green, with only a few highlights of black. He decided that his undercover name will be 'Midori'.
"Jin!" Nod, "Twice is the name you're looking for, stranger!"
"So, Twice. What is a young kid like you doing out here, at night." He gestured to their roof, "Under a bridge."
The teen looked down on the ground, "I don't think that sharing information with a stra- '' nod, "I'm Old enough to survive on my own, out here! 15 is enough! Got kicked out by a dear old sperm donor! Gal didn't put up with my tics!"
Izuku frowned at that, "Is it a part of your quirk or did you develop tourette or something like that?"
Twice, took a deep breath and looked at Midori for a few seconds. "Develop tourette after getting my quirk." The adult waited, but nodded impressively once the second sentence didn't come. Must be really determined to say what he wants to say.
"And it just developed into full sentences?" he questioned, his thoughts already going haywire. He hasn't researched anything about tourette's or some sub form of it. Making sure he added a mental note.
"Yes."
"When was the last time you had a full meal?" Green asked. "Or even slept properly?" He looked at the dark eyebags the teen was sporting.
"It's nothing really-" Nod, "Like ages! I've been sleeping on this chair and under some aluminium if I find some in the dumpsters."
Izuku blinked and cursed himself, "Look, not to come over as a weirdo. But you can stay at my house, eat, drink, sleep and have a roof over your head..." He started to offer but trailed off once he noticed the uncomfortable shifts coming from Jin.
"I'd rather not." He squeaked out.
The adult nodded, "I'll buy you some stuff instead." He stood up and dusted his pants, "Come with me to the store. I'm sure they have some basic necessities." He offered.
The boy just kept sitting still on the chair, and looked up at Izuku, with wide eyes. "Y-You'd do that for me?"
Nodding, "Will you come with?"
"Sir sorr-" nod, "You stinky ass, hell no. I'm not following a stranger" The teen looked down embarrassed. "I'd rather stay here, sir."
"Are you here at all times?" Izuku asked as he fished out a notepad and a pencil. The teen nodded. He jolted down his personal information and address, so much for being undercover. Handing the boy the paper, he smiled. "I'll be back." He turned away.
After walking a few meters he stopped, "Hey, Twice? Where uh, is the way to a convenient store?"
"Straight ahead for two stops, and then to the left!" nod, "You have eyes as well fucker! Use them!"
Izuku merely chuckled in amusement, the boy was quite the comedian. "Be right back!" He shouted and took off.
Midori returned to the boy with a huge backpack. Something the blonde didn't ever think he'd see. He had expected, like a small plastic bag of a blanket and a few snacks. But not a whole survival bag.
"Okay, Jin. Do I need to show you what's inside and how to use it?"
The boy just nodded, still in awe of the stranger he now considers a friend.
Izuku just smiled and opened the military styled bag, "It's waterproof!" Taking out a smaller plastic bag. He opened it to showcase it, "Water for about 4 days, snacks! A lot of nutritious stuff! You're still growing after all." Once Jin got a look at everything, he nodded.
Continuing, the adult took out a sleeping bag, "The bottom is matted." Another dark pair of clothes popped out, "Clothes and coupons to the laundromats! I believe they have a shower too, so you'll have to work out the basic hygiene stuff. I also eyeballed your size so is M too big?"
Jin shook his head.
"Great!" The man smiled happily, "I'd rather have you near me, but you're not comfortable with me yet. So it'll wait. I think I added another few coupons for the dinner place next to the laundromats." He showed them into a fresh plastic wallet he bought.
"Other basic stuff," He said and took them out. "Jin, another thing, serious thing."
"Y-Yes Midori."
He pulled out a transparent zip lock bag, "I bought this for you." A small smartphone was seen there, with a battery and a cable. "I bought some credit for you, and put my personal things in there, if you ever lose the paper I gave you." The smile faltered a bit, "Only call me in case of emergencies. Text me as much as you want."
Izuku then placed everything back into the bag, shuffling a small amount of cash in the wallet. Well, it's small for him, but for the kid it will be his life line.
Now placing the whole bag next to the kid, he hesitantly ruffled his hair, "It was nice to meet you Jin. Don't hesitate to contact me."
The kid nodded and unconsciously leaned into the touch. "Thank you, Midori."
"Anything." He said dead serious, "Just don't buy any cigarettes." He pointed his finger at him, "Still want to help me find my way home?"
"Right, it's the way rig-"
Once Izuku's head hit the pillows, he nearly fell into a deep sleep. If his phone didn't buzz, reluctantly, he checked it.
'Thank you Midori-sama! I am in great depth and very happy with the stuff you gave me. Thank you for being my friend!'
Izuku smiled and typed a reply back,
'Pleasure to meet you kid! I'll visit frequently. Can't let you fend on your own now that you're my friend.'
He let out a breath and closed his eyes, 'Night Jin, good luck.'
