Parvati Patil and Lavender Brown

Rita was flying in her beetle animagus form around the campus of Hogwarts, trying to find any group of gossiping students and use their words to come up with a story that could be published in the Daily Prophet. Not having luck in finding some gossipers outside, Rita flew inside to try there. Once she was in a fourth floor corridor, Rita reverted back into her original form and strolled down said corridor. Rita spotted a classroom door that was open, so she tiptoed her way inside and spotted Harry Potter. He was accompanied by an indian girl with her dark-brown hair in a messy ponytail and a fair-skin girl with wavy light-brown hair. Rita recognized the indian girl as Parvati Patil, since she was Harry's date for the Yule Ball while her twin sister was Padma, a Ravenclaw student in the same year as Harry, and she was Ron's date. Parvati was dressed in a pink button-down short-sleeve shirt, jean shorts, and gray sneakers, while the other girl was dressed in a red short-sleeve t-shirt, a pair of tan hiking shorts, and white sneakers. Harry was dressed in a brown short-sleeve t-shirt, jean trousers, and black sneakers.

'I wonder what Harry, Parvati and the other girl are planning to do in here?' thought the truth-hating journalist.

It didn't take long for Harry and his female companions to notice Rita in the room, so they folded their arms across their chests while glaring at the arrogant journalist. When Rita tried turning around to leave the classroom, Harry and his companions cast charms on the door to lock it and conjured privacy bubbles to ensure that they wouldn't be disturb.

"Coming to be a thorn at my side again, Skeeter?" asked Harry rhetorically.

"Not at all, Harry." Rita lied, speaking in a sweet-talk voice.

"That's what it seems like!" snapped Parvati.

"We're not gonna be fooled that easily, Skeeter!" the other girl growled. "We don't have to be Ravenclaw smart to figure things out. There's plenty of students who are Ravenclaw smart who get sorted into a different house. Just because somebody is book smart doesn't necessarily make them street smart and vice versa."

"Who are you?" asked Rita.

"Lavender Brown," the other girl introduced herself. "Parvati and I are besties."

"I see." Rita replied in a rather careless tone of voice. Then she turned her attention to Parvati and said, "I heard that Harry ditched you at the Yule Ball."

"Not exactly," said Parvati. "I just danced with a male Beauxbatons student after the champions' waltz was finished. Harry and I made up the next day."

"Yes," stated Harry. "It took some time for me to realize how much fun Parvati was that night. I was disappointed that Cedric beat me in asking Cho to the ball, but I got over it and went on a date with Parvati and even offering to purchase her some candy from Honeydukes as a token of my apology. Parvati, Lavender and I began getting closer and Neville became my best mate after the Yule Ball. That was because Ron and Hermione had another bickering war in which Ron got jealous over Hermione going with Viktor Krum and claimed that she was fraternizing with the enemy even though Ron tried asking Fleur to be his date but ran off before receiving an answer. Hermione even rudely told me to head off to bed, which was the final straw because their constant bickering also pressured me to take sides. It was even enough for me to rip them a new one for being hypocrites and for trying to get me to take sides. That was when I declared my friendship with Ron and Hermione over. It even made me understand why they were so unpopular, but better late than never. Neville is my best mate now, since he's alot more responsible and a much better friend."

"It's time for you to get your just rewards, Skeeter!" Lavender told the journalist.

She and Parvati dragged the truth-rejecting journalist over to a chair in front of the teacher's desk, sat her down, conjured up some magic-suppression rope and tied her up with it to prevent her from escaping. Harry sat down on the chair behind the teacher's desk while Parvati and Lavender pulled chairs up and sat down on either side of Harry. Harry handed Rita a cup of tea while Parvati and Lavender got out a notebook and some pens. Rita drank the cup of tea in one gulp and began smirking, thinking that cooperating will get her a get out of jail free card. Suddenly, Rita's eyes clouded over as she fell into a trance-like state just as Harry pointed his wand upward and whispered a spell. Harry, Parvati, and Lavender started smirking, since Rita didn't know that the tea she just drank was spiked with Veritaserum.

"Are you Rita Skeeter?" asked Harry, checking to make sure the potion was working.

"Yes." Rita replied in a monotone voice.

"How did you get obtain all of those lies to get them published?" asked Parvati.

"I have an animagus form, where I can transform into a beetle." said Rita, unaware that a voice-magnifying ward was placed to where everybody (who were all in the Great Hall) could hear the conversation. "I used that as a means of spying on anybody and twisting the words to come up with something even more interesting."

"Has anybody helped to feed you any lies?" asked Lavender.

"Yes, Draco Malfoy and Pansy Parkinson have been," Rita revealed. "They even knew that I'm an unregistered animagus, but promised to keep it a secret."

Draco and Pansy saw that everybody was turning their attention to them with nasty glares, with Professor Dumbledore sending a patronus over to the DMLE to alert the aurors of suspicious criminal activity. Nobody realized yet that there was still more to be revealed.

"How did you get yourself acquainted with Draco and Pansy?" asked Harry.

"I've known Draco for his whole life," Rita revealed. "Lucius cheated on Narcissa several times even after they married. Anytime Narcissa got suspicious and asked her husband what was going on, he'd just obliviate her and make her think that she was pregnant with Draco, but in truth Lucius and I made love to each other one time in August of 1979. In other words, Draco is my biological son. Pansy helped because she wanted to be the centre of attention and believed that being with Draco would increase those chances."

There were many gasps in the Great Hall and the nearest students pointed their wands at Draco and Pansy. The two tried to sneak away, but they were hit with tripping jinxes and couldn't escape when they found more wands being pointed at them. There were even some of the students who started laughing and pointing at Draco and Pansy, finding their predicament very amusing (especially since Draco and Pansy got away with their misdeeds at the least or undeserved moments of slaps on the wrist at the most). By that moment, the effects of the Veritaserum wore off and Rita darted her eyes all around the room. Spotting the triumphant smiles on Harry, Parvati, and Lavender's faces made Rita gasp in panic.

"Your tea was spiked with Veritaserum, Skeeter," Harry revealed in a delightful voice. "Now we all know your secrets. We even had a voice magnifying wards placed so everybody could listen in on this conversation."

"Something you should know now is this," Parvati informed the journalist as she showed the Potter betrothal ring on her right index finger. "I'm the future Mrs. Potter and if you try attacking me, Harry and I will sue you."

"Here's another thing you need to know," Lavender told Rita, holding a hand up to show the Black betrothal ring on her right index finger. "I'm the future Mrs. Black, so you try anything to me, i can sue you as well."

"After my godfather was cleared of the trumped-up charges he was accused of," Harry informed Rita. "He asked me to help him find a future Mrs. Black and help him carry the Black family line because his unjust stay in Azkaban rendered him sterile due to the negative impact the dementors caused."

Then Harry and his betroths cancelled the charms placed on the door, with Rita smirking because she believed that she could just get away while in her beetle form. Then the truth-hating journalist realized that the fourth-year Gryffindors before her were going to keep her tied up until the aurors got to the classroom they were occupying. When they arrived, some of the aurors jogged over to the Great Hall to arrest Draco and Pansy for being accessories. Dumbledore declared Draco and Pansy expelled by snapping their wands in half, then the two former Slytherins were taken away to be put in a ministry juvenile holding cell to await trial. Harry left the classroom to look for the aurors while his betroths kept watch over Rita to make sure she didn't try any muggle means to escape. Harry returned with the aurors a couple minutes later, untied the rope around the journalist and had her placed in magic-suppression handcuffs.

"Rita Skeeter, you're under arrest for multiple counts of slander and failure to register as an animagus," Amelia Bones informed her. "You don't have to say anything, as it may harm your defence in court. Anything you choose to say can be given in evidence."

Rita was pulled up onto her feet and dragged away to be taken into custody to await trial for her crimes. Once it was just the three of them, Harry, Parvati, and Lavender relocked the door and recast the privacy bubble to ensure privacy. Then Dobby apparated to get Harry and his betroths their lunch. Luck was finally on Harry's side and he could feel himself relaxing.

The End!
