CONQUERED
Chapter 19
Rick watched Kate come back from putting Libby to bed. "She talked about wanting to go back again. Seems Martha has a way with her. I need to get her to teach me whatever that is."
"I taught her to make a Bloody Mary," Rick said and started taking off his shoes.
"Rick!?" Kate didn't believe him. "She's your mother!"
"Trust me, I'm acutely aware of that." Rick dropped the other shoe and began to peel off his socks.
"Go empty your bowel, please."
"What the hell, Kate!" That was a crude remark even for her.
"Your ass is mine tonight, Rick. Now go empty your bowel. It will help make it more comfortable for you. Trust me, I know what I'm talking about." Kate slipped off her shirt and began taking off the rest of her clothes.
While he didn't think this was going to hurt, it was just it was weird to have a woman fucking a man in the ass. "You got this need from Alina, didn't you?"
"Just go, Rick, or I'll select a dildo that is too big for you and that WILL hurt."
"Assume your position, Rick." Rick watched her turn around and she was wearing that device yet again. The things he did because he admitted that he still loved her.
Much later than night, Kate was curled up next to Rick and was totally satisfied. She was learning that after she was done with Rick, he was only too happy to take her, and she so badly wanted him to want her.
"How do you feel? I know there was no pain. Not with those sounds you made," Kate grinned wide.
"There's still something just weird about doing this. How many women do you know that fuck their men?" Rick questioned her. "No, don't answer that."
"Rick, will you keep Alina out of this or my other two female lovers! I'm not marrying any of them. I don't want to marry any of them. I'm not asking you how you learned to eat pussy. I'm just glad I'm gaining the benefit of all that practice," Kate countered since he needed to stop mentioning Alina even in a roundabout way.
"My apologies, Kate." She was right. He hadn't learned how to do that by accident. "So how often do you plan on continuing to want to do this?"
"Are you really having a problem with it?" Kate tilted her head up so she could look at him. "I'll admit that you're the first man I've ever done this with, but I don't see the big difference. You're my lover and I'm trying to do all I can to make our lovemaking memorable and pleasurable." Kate kept looking at him.
"It just feels uncomfortable somehow," Rick told her. "I'm not gay and maybe that's my problem. I can accept that you like women, but I don't like men in that way."
"Oh." Kate buried her face against his body. "I hadn't thought about it like that. You're right, I do like woman and this is something that I did with them. I'll stop. I just want to make you happy and make our lovemaking the best it can be.
"The truth?" Kate looked up at him. "I think I'm trying to make you forget all those other women."
"Kate, you've already blown all those women out of the water. I don't even think of them before, during, or after we make love. Well, I didn't till you brought it up. But I do like that you're trying to make it memorable for us. Make what we do just us. Perhaps if you thought up something else?"
Kate rested her face on his body. "I can do that." She didn't know just what yet, but she could do that. Then she raised her head again. "You still want to marry me? I love you, I trust you, and I want to be Mrs. Castle."
Kate squealed when somehow she had gone from this position to being under him.
Rick grinned at her. "We could get married naked."
"Guess again, mister. Only you get to see me naked unless it's by accident. I'm a little bit of an exhibitionist but not that much." Then she felt something. He was rubbing his cock head against her outer lips.
"Good to know. I'll have to think about that." Rick now had a reason to do some research.
"You do that. Now shut up and fuck me."
O~O~O
"'Morning, Mommy!" Libby was awake and saw her mommy looking down at her. She struggled to get out from under the covers so she could hug her mommy.
Kate didn't remember Libby greeting her in the morning like that. She hugged her and felt tears well up. Libby saw her as her mommy and she wanted to be her mommy.
Kate decided that she needed to make sure of something. She had talked to Libby about this once already. Libby hadn't said no, but she didn't sound happy about it.
"Sweetie, mommy is going to marry Rick. We're going to be a family. You like Rick, don't you?"
"Yes, he's nice." Libby was old enough and smart enough to ask this question. "Does that make him daddy?"
"Well, he is going to help me take care of you. Teach you all he can. Play with you. Do all he can to make sure you're happy. That's what daddies do. You can call Alexis your big sister, if you want." Kate bit her lower lip over that. That was maybe a little too soon.
Yup, it was too soon because Libby was shaking her head. "You don't have to, but I hope you learn to like Rick because I love him just as much as I love you."
"Okay." Libby didn't have a problem with that.
"Good. Now let's get you up and get you dressed. We need to get to breakfast." Kate got her up and over to the kitchen so they could start their day.
O~O~O
Kate noticed that everyone save for Martha and Anderson were here. "Are we still doing this?" They had talked about it when Martha and Anderson had been over yesterday.
"We're going to try it. What have we got to lose?" Dean asked her. "The only real question is what does it take to reach the radio? Locked doors certainly. But if we break one down, we'll violate one of their laws."
"Then I'm going with you," Alexis announced. "I know how to pick a lock."
Of course she packed and brought her lock picking tools with her. Especially since she razzed Rick about his inability to do it quickly. She wouldn't have screwed up like that. Now why had she packed them? Even she didn't really know but was now glad that she had.
"I'm the one that taught you! You think I can't do it?" Rick watched her open her mouth to answer. "Don't answer that. My own daughter stabbed me in the back."
"That sounds like you, Dad." Alexis smiled at him. "You might manage to do it, but it'll take you an hour or more. Do you remember the last time you tried it?"
"We're not talking about that." Rick knew exactly how long it had taken him to pick the lock. "Fine, you can go." Now he had to listen to Kate and the others laugh at him.
"You need your head shrunk down as it is, babe." Kate leaned across and kissed his cheek.
"You know Voodoo? That is so cool! Why didn't you tell me?" Rick went way out into left field over what Kate told him. That had her rolling her eyes at him as she went back to paying attention to Libby.
O~O~O
"Everyone ready?" Anderson had shown up a little after breakfast along with Martha.
"He insists you are not violating one of their laws, so I agreed to this," Martha informed them.
"Help me with the gas cans," Rick asked and picked up two. Dean, Anderson, and even Alexis grabbed one.
"ATM machine, babe," Kate called out. "Please tell me you remembered your card." She knew him and he would manage to leave it behind.
Rick clutched his chest. "You wound me, Kate."
"Show me the card, Rick." Kate watched him take his card out of his wallet and show it to her. "Now just don't drop it in the bay."
Rick fought back. "Remind me again. Why did I agree to marry you?"
"YOU'RE GETTING MARRIED!" Alexis yelled. "Just when did you plan to tell us, Dad?" She was so going to hurt him for that.
"I…I only said yes yesterday, I think. I can't get a banner and tow it behind a plane anymore."
"Better get going, babe, before you dig your grave any deeper," Kate told him.
"We do have a shovel," Alexis added.
Michael stood at the edge of the platform. "Just stay safe, Alexis, and come back."
Alexis looked over at him and smiled. "You're sweet, Michael. Don't worry, this is a piece of cake." Let's go, Dad." She entered the cabin and stood between Rick and Dean with Anderson standing right behind her. That was the thing about Rick's little boat, it only had the 2 chairs.
"Married, huh?" Laura questioned Kate. Kate saw Martha beaming with a huge smile and Laura was looking for answers.
"I finally got him to say yes. Our only problem is the actual marriage. Where, who's going to marry us, how do we make it official? Is there even a way to make it official these days? Not to mention when?"
"At least he said yes." Laura was happy for her.
"I knew my son would come around eventually. He can sometimes be as stubborn as you," Martha said to Kate.
"I'm not…" Kate was all set to fight back, but then she changed her mind. "You're right. Sometimes I'm stubborn." She really did want to change who she was.
"Now we need to plan a wedding. You go find Rick's laptop and meet us in the dining room. We can eat snacks while we plan," Laura offered.
O~O~O
"So you said yes?" Alexis was still on her dad's case.
"She dragged it out of me, but yes, I said yes," Rick admitted.
"She is different now, Dad. I'm not sure just what all caused it, but she is different," Alexis admitted.
"My money is on Libby. Kate's really taken a shine to her. Didn't bat an eye to being called mommy," Dean said.
"I'm just glad the girl found someone. I rescued her and I'm not sorry I did it. But I'm no father. It's a little late to be one now. I just want to be friends, son. I don't expect you to call me dad," Anderson told his son who was driving.
"I think I can do that," Rick agreed. It might take him time to work out how to call him dad.
"Do we really need in the control tower?" Anderson queried. "I've never been inside one of those before."
"Actually, we just need in the base building, not in the top of the control tower. Access to that will be locked up and probably need codes, cards, or both. Most towers will have a staircase all the way up, plus an elevator. That may be internal or external depending on the design," Dean explained.
"Even the top of the tower will have different levels, but we should only need into the base building. You're sure picking a lock doesn't violate one of their laws?" That was the one problem Dean had with their plan.
"Positive. I spent all of last night reading and re-reading them. Ask Michael," Alexis answered, "he read them all with me. We're fine, I'm fine. Just don't break down the door. That is a hostile action, but not picking the lock."
"Our first trick is getting from the general public side to the business side while not violating any of their laws," Dean said. "It may not be easy. They take a dim view of letting just anyone have access to the business side of an airport."
"We'll think of something. We sort of need for this to work." Anderson knew he could do it, but do it and not violate an alien law? Yeah, that was going to be more of a challenge.
"We got in and out countless times the last time," Rick pointed out.
"True! We can start with that and hope it's still open to us." For a moment Dean had forgotten about that. He had landed his plane there. It should even still be there. He also knew that airport wasn't all that big. It wasn't Denver or even Chicago. There weren't that many gates.
O~O~O
"Gas first, so we can get back after we find an ATM that still has cash," Rick suggested.
Lucky for them the marina had an ATM and it let Dean take out 5k. Rick, though, was only able to get 2k out of it. "Out of cash, I guess." At least it was enough to get gas.
So with a full tank of gas, full gas cans, and money on the counter, they headed for Rick's truck. "Keys." Rick began to pat himself down like he was searching for them.
"DAD!?" If he didn't have the keys she was going to kill him.
"Keys!" Rick dangled them for all to see and grinned mischievously.
"I'm going to let Kate kill you. Except she can't do that, can she? How's your swimming because you are accidentally going over the side," Alexis growled but got in the truck.
O~O~O
Actually getting onto the tarmac had turned out to be stupidly simple. It was just like walking to and from his plane that was still sitting right over there.
Finding the control tower was equally easy. "I don't remember their tower being this short and stubby. Makes finding what we want easier for us," Dean commented.
Anderson had found a door and tried it. "Locked." He made way for Alexis who got down on her knees and took out the tools she brought with her.
Anderson watched her work. If she couldn't pick the lock he was betting he could. He had done a lot of things in his life.
"Ha, that was easy." Alexis stood back up and opened the door. "Ladies first. That means you, Dad," she teased.
"I taught you well, grasshopper." Rick kissed her head and actually did go first. Now they just needed to find what they came here for.
"So where would this be?" Rick asked because so far, it felt like a maze to him.
"It needs cooling to keep it from overheating. Likely behind its own locked door, so look for one of those. Though there should be a sign telling you what it is. Not like they want to advertise to people like us, but it should have a sign," Dean responded.
"Like this one?" Alexis called out to all of them and soon had everyone around her again. "It's locked and it has a sign." Alexis dropped to her knees and pulled out her tools.
Fifteen minutes later she was still working on the lock. "This one's different," Alexis said since it was giving her trouble.
"May I?" Anderson held out his hands. "I did used to be CIA, you know."
Alexis handed over her tools and watched him bend down and get to work. It only took him two minutes. "Show off." Alexis was impressed but pissed that she couldn't do it.
This was the room, alright. Dean went to the equipment he was interested in. "Lights are still on. Equipment's still on. So what frequency do we want?" He looked at Anderson for this one since this was his idea.
"Well, they know all of ours, so I would say any of them," Alexis offered. "I mean they overrode everything right down to land lines, so they know what they all are."
"Let's just hope they are listening." Dean selected a frequency and gave up his seat to Anderson.
"Try not to piss them off, Dad. They already think we're scum," Rick asked him, not really realizing he had called him dad.
"I've survived this long. I'm not dying from some damn alien now." Anderson wasn't making any promises, but he would try.
O~O~O
Thirty minutes later and they had nothing. "Time for a different frequency." Dean leaned in to change it. "Try again."
They all heard a voice. "TALK!"
"He doesn't sound happy," Alexis said softly.
"We have monitored what we believe is a ship that is cleaning the atmosphere and perhaps other parts of the planet as well. Our planet uses a lot of satellites for communication. We can't talk to each other without them. Our civilization will collapse without them." Anderson began there. He wasn't going to demand anything. Maybe not even ask them if they had a plan and what it was.
"You are correct. We estimate another of your months to complete the cleaning. It is taking longer than anticipated. Your communications are primitive. We will be replacing them once our supply ship arrives. Your planet is primitive. However, it is now part of the Kree Empire. We will be making adjustments." They all heard every word.
"How many humans are still alive?" Anderson was curious.
"Your race has proven to be extremely hostile to everyone, including yourselves. We estimate you are at 3.1 billion currently. That number is still dropping."
"Good God!" Alexis clapped a hand over her mouth to keep from saying anything else.
"We are going to need a way to feed ourselves soon. We need communications or that number will start to drop even faster," Anderson warned him. "You want us to actively join your Empire, we will require assistance."
"Those issues and others have already been discussed. Communication terminated." He was gone.
"That certainly was helpful." Rick was not impressed.
"We did get them to talk to us. That's something at least," Dean shrugged.
"Three point one billion and dropping is not helpful," Alexis commented.
"Well, they have a plan. They just aren't going to tell us what it is. Probably not until they're damn good and ready," Anderson commented.
"Yeah, like when we are down to 2 billion worldwide." Alexis stated bitterly. Rick put his arms around her. "I know, I know, we're ants and should be happy they plan to do anything at all. It just doesn't feel like it."
"From my point of view, if they could selectively kill everyone that was in a prison at the same time and do what they are doing, that tells me they have the technology to wipe out the entire human race in just seconds. But they didn't. I believe they want something from us," Anderson commented.
"Yeah, what's left of us." Alexis was still angry at them. "Any guesses, Gramps?"
"Just one. If they can do all this it stands to reason that once we reach an acceptable number, whatever that number is, they'll find us all and move us. Think what we did to the indigenous people when we took control," Anderson said.
"Reservations. They move us all to say Africa while they take the rest of the planet. How thoughtful of them." Alexis was still pissed and couldn't see a silver lining in any of it.
"What? Why do you have a look on your face, Dad?" Rick questioned him.
"Just thinking. Say Alexis is right for a moment. They take everything else. If they can remove all of this planet's pollution with that one single device, who's to say that they can't remove everything else they don't want in what they take.
"Open pit mines, ghettos or any complete city for that matter. Maybe they don't like swamps, deserts. One more machine, and 3 months later it's all gone," Anderson put forward since he was thinking it was possible.
"Back to ants again," Alexis submitted.
"Perhaps, perhaps not." Dean had his own idea. "Laura and I have been talking. They eliminate everyone that has a hostile tendency. No more gangs, no more killing, no more muggings. What's left of us is precisely what they want.
"They're cleaning the planet and they know about our communications problem, but it sounds like they have a solution. We're not sure what to think. But you're right, if they wanted us all dead they could have done it. They have a plan, they just aren't going to tell us what it is until they're ready to implement it. Of course, we won't get a choice. It might not be all bad. If it was we'd already be dead."
Alexis shrugged. "Still leaves us as ants."
