Hello!

Funny thing, quarantine made me do it.

I have an engineering background and english is my third language, so I excuse myself if the story is not at your expectations. I am obviously not a writer. I am trying the best I can with my knowledge and I am honestly doing this for fun since I like experiencing new things.

Reviews or PM I don't mind. I am open for criticism as long as it's constructive. I hate hate reviews and I won't respond to them. I am someone really straightforward so "you don't like the story, don't read it". It's really simple. I don't want people trashing my work, I find it disrespectful. I'm happy doing this and I want to improve my writing style so it would be nice if you could help me.

Notes on We will not repeat the same mistakes.

I got bored and rewatched all of DBZ. Then I had an idea for a story where all the mistakes done again in again in battles in DBZ were corrected. And of course, drama, friendship, romance. You will noticed that some weird scenarios that took place during the fight with Cell, then repeated in the Buu saga will be mentioned here, as I sensed it was a big writing issue and they didn't make sense.

I decided to change Gohan's character, he is OOC. I don't wanna turn a lovable character into a bad one, I hope you will get my vision of him that fits the story. I took the approach were he is gonna be affected by his father's death and won't accept it easily. He is gonna have walls built by fear of losing someone new. And since he has this sense of guilt, he is gonna be mad at Satan and his trash talk all the time. I want to give him a strong Saiyan side since they are a strong race and I didn't want the human part overcome it easily.
Lime is included yes, because I wanted Gohan to have friends his age besides Dende (and well Icarus). And yes they will be really close since Gohan can trust her and it is something important to him.

The villains of the adventure part are OC. No Buu, I wanted to try and create a new timeline outside the canon characters.
No Saiyaman because I don't like that Gohan acts like this, he is still a fighter (and a Saiyan) and the poses he used were offensive for anyone having a little bit of pride. For the parts that will seem mainstream, it was all planned and will be understood within the storyline (If not, I am happy to answer reviews and PM to discuss it).

Small note: other than Gohan, Vegeta and Piccolo are my favorite characters so... Just as a small notice for the story in case someone will wonder once I start the adventure part why I took this approach. I sensed both deserved more recognition in the show.

The story's genres, romance with the drama and friendship, and the adventures part are interlinked and you will directly notice that the story shifted towards the second one. Although it has a bigger romance part, it was all a buildup for the adventures part which is the most important one.

It's a small one shot I made for fun. I was requested for Valentine's day and a friend of mine reminded me of the movie '10 things I hate about you'. It inspired me to write the letter's concept.

Videl goes on a small scavenger hunt on Valentine's to discover the author of a mysterious letter put in her locker. She tries to find out who he is while following the clues he left. She hopes for someone in particular but she doesn't want to get her hopes up.

Two shots based on drama.

Videl and Gohan are dating in high school but Gohan doesn't tell her about his double identity. When she discovers the truth, she will be mad at him for lying. Erasa and an OC will try to get them back together and Gohan will try and talk to her. But she is stubborn and he surprisingly can behave like a Saiyan with pride when he is triggered.

Notes on Vulnerable.

Inspired by the Netflix show, Lucifer.

Gohan will meet Videl and Erasa after the Cell Games and the trio will become good friends, learning a little about each other's worlds. Videl will know that her father didn't kill Cell, but she is unable to link Gohan to the Delivery Boy.
When she's about fourteen, she'll be forced to leave Satan City with her mother (who is still alive in the story) and she will lose touch with the young Son boy.

A few years later, they will find each other at college. Gohan will have an OC girlfriend, as he was able to fight his shyness, thanks to his old friends. While he's at college, he will find himself vulnerable almost every time he goes and fights crimes, and he won't understand why. He still has his inhumane powers, but he will no longer be bulletproof and immune to scratches.

Read the development of the story to understand what happened to him, how he will unravel the mystery, and most importantly, how he will balance his growing feelings for his childhood friend, while having a girlfriend.

Mix of drama, romance, friendship, adventures, and comedy. Story will include the development of their friendship in the beginning, to set room for their characters later on.

Gohan won't be OOC, still shy and restrictive, albeit a little less than before. Videl will be slightly OOC with a slightly more girly approach. Understandable since she is living with her mother, not only her fighter father. But same character, determination, curiosity, and strong headed, etc.
