![]() Author has written 1 story for Transformers. Hello! My name is Striker66. My real name isn't as fun so we'll stick with my alias. I've written fanfiction before and posted on this site but under another account (Seiko). Most of the stories were Star Wars, Fushigi Yuugi, or Pirates of the Caribbean based. I'm a mature content writer meaning anything and everything is possible, so fair warning to all my readers. Awake My current story, Awake, is Transformers based with a heavy influence from the Bayverse. I will, however, be incorporating lore from Prime, the original cartoon, and the novelizations as well. Any questions regarding the story will be answered most likely via PM as I don't want to give away any key plot points. Ultimately I would love to complete Awake and have illustrations made up for it. I do plan on posting any visuals for the story on DeviantArt (so far this would include some examples of how I picture the bots' holoforms). Also much thanks to my current beta reader Lmere969 :) Bits and Bytes This page is just a list of all the quirky little things I've included in the story so far. It will get updated as new references are added. Please make sure to read the latest chapters before reading this content just in case there are spoilers. Chapter 2: Ghosts in the Night The human ship the Autobots came across was the Ghost 1 from the Transformers novel Ghosts of Yesterday. I altered what happened to the crew for my story but ultimately the end result was the same; the Autobots and Decepticons learning that Earth was key in finding Megatron and the AllSpark. Alex just helped to further confirm to the Autobots that they were on the right track. Chapter 5: You Are the Revelation The underground worm-like species of Stadus 8, with their three serpentine tentacles and large beaked maws, are based on the creatures known as Graboids; the main antagonists in the movie series, Tremors. Chapter 6: Pathways Prior to Bee adopting the Camaro as his alt-mode, he used a vehicle he'd scanned on a planet called Tallon IV. This planet is from the game, Metroid Prime, and its avianoid inhabitants are known as the Chozo. Chapter 7: Cosmic Castaway Chalkhos, the planet Bee and Alexandria are on in the holo, and its twin, Selvos, make up a binary planetary system that you can scan in the third installment of the Mass Effect trilogy. Chalkhos is listed in the Mass Effect Wiki as a garden world and its accompanying picture shows continents with a purple tinge to them. The game Alexandria shows Bumblebee is called M.A.S.H (Mansion, Apartment, Shack, House). It's a game I played as a kid in public school that could supposedly tell your future. One of the columns includes names of potential partners you'd marry or live with; two you prefer, one you are indifferent about, and one you would never, ever want to end up with. Unfortunately for Bee, he was left with that last option, which turned out to be Starscream. At least he got the mansion. Bumblebee shows Alexandria a holo of an insectoid species known as the Poleepkwa. This alien race is better known by its derogatory name, Prawns, from the movie District 9. Ratchet and Bee came across silicon-based alien life forms in their travels, dubbing them Si-217 as the bots were unable to find out the actual name of the species due to communication difficulties. Their true name is the Ogri; living rocks from the television series, Dr. Who. Chapter 9: Everdream The two movies Alexandria picked up were Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Rings and A Beautiful Mind. Pretty Woman was the romantic comedy where Alexandria had to explain what a prostitute was to Bumblebee. The Disney song Bumblebee managed to convince Alexandria to sing was I'll Make a Man Out of You from the movie, Mulan. One of the best Disney movies of all time I may add. Chapter 12: Grace The hymn Mary used to sing to Alex is called Into the Tent Where a Gypsy Boy Lay (Tell It Again). This song, when sung at a slower pace, does have an eerie but soothing quality to it. |
