IMPORTANT NOTE:

You will probably find that through out my stories, I like to recycle characters. Mostly my character Veriea.

Veriea, and the several others that I reuse are from my original story universe, "Heritage". Some of my fan fictions are cross-overs with this universe, others are just the result of me thinking: "Hmm. What sort of trouble could putting (insert character here) as a person in this world make?"

For the cross-overs, the reused charters will be cannon with the Heritage universe, to the point where the story diverts into the cross-over, ei: same powers, same personality, same history.

For the non-cross-over stories, I reserve the right to muck with these things as much as I please, thought the core principals of the character will most likely stay the same. :P

I'm a strong believer that adversity is the key ingredient that makes people stronger and develop into their potential.

Without challenges one does not strive to better themselves. That's not to say that people should be tortured or anything to make them better but everyone should strive to achieve something, whether that something is writing a story, making a deadline or being the best parent you can be for your children. The challenges we overcome and the situations we persevere through are what makes us the people we are.

As such my stories tend to reflect this, though more often than not towards the more brutal side of things.
