Timeline: sixteen years before present

Harry lay on the cold stone floor as he lay dying in pain, gasping in pain as the poison from that fang after stabbing the Basilisk through the mouth with Gryffindor's Sword spread in his body through the wound in his arm.

"It's so hot, it burns inside me! Like the time Dudley splashed Muriatic Acid on me when cleaning the toilet!" Harry thought in pain with a hiss as he struggled to breathe while gasping in pain. "It hurts a lot! I never thought I'd have the world's deadliest poison through a stupid fang...I hate this!" not only that, he was getting blurry-eyed and drowsy. Is this an indicator he's dying?

"If only casting magic without a wand nor having to say funny words is possible, I'd have it easier."

Confirmed. Acquisition of Extra Skill: Chant Annulment, successful.

"I wonder if reincarnation is possible. I hope I can survive in the next world. I mean, I know how to cook, but making things like clothes and shelter? And knowing what food, medicine and poison is and how to make them?"

"I'm getting cold now...this means I'm dying...my heart is weakening. At least I'm free from everything. No one can make me their slave or public whipping boy ever again..." his only wish was to be born to a good family with loving parents and reliable adults this time even if in the next life, he's not rich. Boys have it so hard, what's it like being a girl?

Girls never had to suffer pain and hardship he did, Hermione certainly had an easy life if she could do what she wanted in life, no pressure or anything other than her self-imposed pressure to be better than anyone else, while boys have expectations heaped on them, was what his immature, inexperienced mind thought...because he never saw enough of his world nor did he get the chance to.

Had he lived long and saw more, girls had it far worse sometimes in a society that is still struggling with Gender Equality, moving forward little by little beyond the Inequality it's been in for centuries. He would never know that.

Confirmed. Cold Resistance, acquired. Acquisition of Heat and Cold Resistance results in synthesis of two resistances leading to acquisition of new resistance: Thermal Fluctuation Resistance, successful.

And Harry knew no more. The last thing he saw, was Fawkes crying on his wound. He made Fawkes help Ginny first, telling him, 'Anything you can do is OK, look after her first.'

Welp, too late for him, he supposed.

'Uwaaaah! Uwaaaah!'

Harry can hear a woman speak in a language he can't understand.

Unknown to them, the baby is very much, sentient and conscious.

"OK, I finally got out of that cramped wet place!" Harry thought with a gasp for air. "I could hardly breathe in there...phew!"

He can't see so he can only hear.

Wait, he has Magic Sense through his skill, so he used it in order to see AND understand. It seems that he'll be reliant on this skill until he is properly taught.

He just found out he is reborn in this world in a filthy maternity ward...and he realized he came out of a woman's...thingy, which explains why he felt cramped and wet in a warm, slimy place!

Comical Horror ensued on his part as he freaked out, manifested as his loud howls as what else can a newborn infant do?

Can't swear obviously.

'Honey, we got a daughter this time, you haven't a fifth son yet as required by the law...are you gonna be OK?' asked the father weakly. 'You barely survive all these pregnancies because we're so poor! The next might be your last and our children needs both of us!'

'We're ALL poor Mr. Kleine. And we're barely getting by.' said the midwife sourly. 'We have to work till we're a dried up husk before we die no thanks to those pigs who gets to live a life of hedonism through our suffering in poverty and hunger.' she said in contempt. 'So what will your child's name be?'

"...It seems where I'm born into is in a miserable place." Harry thought wryly. His new mum must have had four sons now and she's the first daughter. He's now a girl in this world.

'Well, something that would sound well with our surname...' Mr. Kleine chuckled weakly.

'Humm...how about Donna? It sounds well enough...' said a new woman's voice feebly, feeble from exhaustion her voice was shaky. This must be his wife Mrs. Kleine, Harry's new mother who now named him Donna.

'Donna Kleine it is then sweetie, you've worked hard.' said the midwife.

'Now then madam, please drink this potion so you can recover and you can take little Donna home.' the midwife handed Mrs. Kleine a bottle a test tube of glowing blue liquid to heal from birthing stress and pains. All that was left, was exhaustion of nine hours of giving birth to a girl and her father paying the midwife six silver coins.

Upon hearing those words, Harry's glad his errr her new world's magical. Awakening to a ton of skills would be troublesome if he was reborn in a magic-hating place!

But...six sickles for a Midwife's Fee and probably that potion too? Why in a test tube?

It seems Harry, now Donna has a lot to do.

And so...six years later...

Donna grew up a farmer's daughter in the village of Sunrise Valley in Falmuth, in Baron Arden's territory. They were at the edge of the country where monster attacks are rife.

Due to its location, the Kingdom of Falmuth could have been considered as the main trading partner of the Armed Nation of Dwargon for hundreds of years. Without the need to traverse hazardous terrain, it was advantageous for direct transactions. Therefore, a great deal of profit was earned from selling imported goods at extortionate prices, as well as goods and service consumptions by merchants who were travelling to Dwargon. Its Capital City mainly relies on trade and tourism for income.

The local level of industry was low. There were no local specialties, nor mineral resources available for mining. The local agriculture was at a level where the people wouldn't starve, but the tax gained wouldn't have been enough to cover the national spending. And the royals and noble spend money like water!

Thus it can be said that Falmuth is like a lotus pond.

The beauty is on its surface only, which is the Capital City and well-developed countryside around it for tourism.

Around that however, is Dystopia, coldly watched over by nobles who keep an eye on their territories and their workforce who are all worked to the bone, while the nobles from the Baron to a Dukedom enjoyed a carefree life. The higher one's status is, the closer they are to the capital.

Her family was poor. Dirt poor yet the practice was still to have more children than they can afford as the royal family demanded that everyone must have at least five sons. From the royals themselves, down to the poorest peasant if they married.

This was because sons are valued as soldiers of war or as defense against monsters, and they'll be conscripted whether they like it or not. For those wealthy, only the family heir is an exemption to continue the bloodline. For the poor, only the youngest is spared to continue with producing more children.

Thus boys who are fifteen years old, are scooped up and taken to the Capital whether they liked it or not.

And Donna has four older brothers and one younger brother. Kevin who's 14, Jackson 12, Andre at 10 and Gilbert 8. The youngest brother was Melvin who was 3. While he's lucky he won't go into the military, he would be like their father, fearing for his sons' lives come adulthood. Next year, Kevin will be conscripted into Baron Arden's forces for military training.

Six years old she may be, but she was stunted from malnutrition. Tinier than she should be for her age. She has no idea what she looks like, poor folk can't afford a mirror.

Hunger and stunted growth was nothing new to her because of the Dursleys. But her older siblings are very much broken by their lot on life, and everyone hated the monarchy and nobility, for making too much demands of them yet not giving a damn about their people who were poor, hungry and miserable. When they're all babies, their father works triple-time to compensate for his wife absent at work babysitting until her children are weaned and taught the basics.

Harvest quotas? Tax quotas? Everything has a quota. If it wasn't met, they'll be publicly whipped to serve as an example.

To the people, they were nothing more than slaves to feed the fat nobles and royalty.

Her home is basically a shack. A filthy shack.

Her parents have no time to clean. They have to meet the quota or get whipped by the end of the year.

The quota for poor folk like them, is 2 gold coins.

With salaries like theirs?!

Impossible.

If in the Wizarding World money is 1 gold Galleon = 17 silver Sickles or 493 brass Knuts, and 1 Sickle = 29 Knuts.

Here?

1 gold = 100 silver and 1 silver = 100 bronze.

Her parents have countless scars on their backs already, Donna felt her mother won't survive the next whipping as giving birth to Melvin weakened her more than when she birthed her. Every woman in her village is doggone feeble, like a strong gust will easily blow them all away.

And not every mother survives five pregnancies hoping for sons.

One: you need a healthy environment to live in.

Two: access to a lot of food.

Three: REST. LOTS OF IT.

The women here don't have all three!

Her village is dying little by little.

So she left her house with her baby brother whom she was babysitting as everyone is out at work in the farms, leaving her alone to babysit her little brother Melvin.

She went out to hunt food and as she can use magic, while absorbing magicules to get stronger to use stronger spells.

There's two ways for a mage to cast magic. Using their internal pool, or harnessing magicules in the air, using a bit of their own pool as a medium.

She can hunt weaker monsters for food. And she began cleaning their home off of dust and grime, and washing everyone's sour-smelling clothes in boiling hot water to kill bacteria causing the nasty smell.

No soap to thoroughly clean, but at least the mud, grit and odors are gone. Then she prepares and roasts the meat while ensuring no odors come out so the meat is solely her family's.

She ate her fill, and made the meat easy to eat for her little brother.

'Big sis, you a fairy?' Melvin asked her, eating the meat. He's seen incredible things from his sister that she never showed before. And now he has a painless tummy for once.

'I guess I became one...' Donna smiled sadly, patting her brother's head. 'We'll be OK soon. Keep my magic quiet, OK?'

'M'kay.'

When her parents came home with her older brothers, they were surprised to find roasted meat on their worn-out wooden plates.

'Donna, this is...?' Mr. Kleine asked her daughter as they can't believe their eyes.

'I tried out hunting daddy.' said Donna. 'I think this is what I should do from now on.' she said. 'I should get food for free.'

The sight of so much food overwhelmed her family that they're all ravenous beasts, setting themselves on the dining table, desperate for a full stomach.

'...good thing you saved ours.' Melvin croaked, seeing the sight of his parents and older brothers as Donna took out their portions that she hid.

'Well, we're all hungry, so that's understandable.' said Donna as they ate their share.

But among the meat, she hid a piece of monster liver of varying sizes appropriate for their ages which she teleported into their grabbing hands, a nourishing, nutrition-packed organ meat that will be a good supplement for malnourished people. However, monster liver is three times the worth of normal animal liver, so she really had to magic her way to divide and transfer the nutrients enough for the consumers. And they can only have it once a week even then to give their bodies time to heal before she doses them again.

After dinner...

'That's the first time we've had a full stomach in years...' said the eldest brother Kevin with a sigh. 'But how did you hunt, Donna? You're only six years old!' he exclaimed. 'You got so much meat enough for us to have full stomachs for once!'

'I shot them, see? I asked Mr. Bingham if he can make me a bow and arrow in return for some meat too so I hunted a lot today.' said Donna. 'I paid him with some meat so it's good.'

Mr. Bingham thought Donna won't make it with big prey that she can only catch small prey with her size. Like fish. Fish isn't exactly filling and only tasty if with a sauce. So he gave her a cheap bow set...unaware what a Skilled Person can do with it.

One of Donna's Unique Skills is Survivor.

Subskills are:

- Analysis

- Iron Will - constantly gives Donna strong Mental Toughness that she would never have a moment of mental weakness and always stay positive while keeping her grip on reality. It also keeps her motivated even if odds are bleak so she can focus on finding a way out of her predicament.

- Instant Adaptation - will adapt to any circumstances to get by in any situation, great support for battling in impossible odds for most people.

- Complete Ingredient Knowledge

- Complete Craftsmanship Skills - the ability to craft improvised materials to create improvised tools to craft improvised shelter, clothes, etc.

- Complete Camping Cooking Skills

- Complete First Aid Skills

- Trap Master

- Hawk's Eye

- Marksmanship Mastery

- Astronomic Navigation Mastery

And having Unique Skill: Tome of Magic that grants her all knowledge of spells currently existing in the world from weakest to strongest, even forbidden spells as well as who invented what made the above skill much easier for her.

'Is that so...I guess we'll be counting on Donna until things get better.' said Mrs. Kleine. 'Donna will be in charge of food, the rest of us will keep focusing on making it in time for taxes while taking care of ourselves too.'

Thus Donna hunts in secret.

Because it's Monster Meat they're eating, Liver and Mushrooms as well as wild fruit, the Kleine Family is slowly getting better, even if they can only eat every breakfast and dinner.

Stress is their main enemy, as well as fatigue from overwork, but they can conceal their boons while their organs and bones are secretly strengthened.

Soon, Donna created potions she could disguise as fruit juice.

Healing Potions aren't the only potions in this world, OK? She created what's basically a 'Full Restore' for internal organs. Her family gets complete Sunshine Vitamins in the farms anyway...and after drinking that potion, they have no idea what they just had, were many potions she put illusions on to look and 'taste' like fruit juice. It has been their nightly drinks after dinner, and breakfast with bread the next morning.

But at least her family's organs and bones are the healthiest in the world. So what if they're skinny and gaunt from overwork stress and fatigue? Her family would be OK every night and Kevin would survive Military Training when he gets conscripted by the end of the year.

It's not like they can reveal they're suddenly eating TOO well...because most paupers can only afford bread and that's it...not exactly filling and it's too dry...a human doesn't just need carbohydrates, but also fruits, vegetables and seafood.

Because Donna took to being a Hunter, the family could save up money. They no longer buy bread and eat solely what Donna brings home. She works to clean the house with Melvin and do the laundry until when he turned seven, he joined the family in the fields.

By end of the year...its time for Kevin to be conscripted. Heck, they won't even know if he'll get paid as a soldier. And as Kevin doesn't know how to write and so did the whole family, they have no way of knowing how he's doing!

Thus early that morning, Kevin took a hot bath in cool winter air to not only keep him warm, but also help in easily washing off his grimy and greasy body and wore his cleanest clothes and shoes. Well, the cleanest it can get without soap anyway! Several months of Donna's food and treatments made him from skin and bones to at least, a healthy lean physique Donna saw in most of her housemates in the dorm baths in Hogwarts.

'This is it Kevin...' said Mr. Kleine as the now-healthy family was anxious. Annual Taxes aside as they made it in time, the issue is their worry for Kevin.

'I'll manage somehow.' Kevin shook in anxiety after a breakfast of bread and meat with roasted mushrooms, boiled eggs and wild berries with the 'fruit juice'. Last night, Donna gave him a High Potion she had to dilute from a Full Potion to heal his body of farming pains so he would survive his first day at least. They also packed up his clothes, his own towel and a comb for his hair which was in a rucksack as peasants can't own bags. Too pricey that buying one is easily a silver coin. That's about twenty days' worth of bread for the family!

Soon, soldiers pounded on their door.

'Kleine Family, come out!' came the command so the nervous family came out. While they're all filthy and unwashed for a week to maintain their poor appearance, only Kevin was clean for this day. The soldier looked at the family records.

- Kendra Sanders,
Chief Nurse of Northdale Village, Sunrise Valley

The soldier looked at Kevin head to toe.

'Mm. Looking sharp!' he said. 'Come here now.' Kevin went last in line with his peers and left home.

The village of Northdale thus had the air of a FUNERAL, as Donna's long since known when she could walk as a toddler and sees a somber parade of boys following soldiers to who-knows-where.

'Two more years and I'll be in that parade too.' Jackson shuddered as they watched the parade disappear into the distance, towards the village gates. 'If only we know what's going on...if only we can read and write...'

'We can't afford that and you know it.' Andre grumbled.
