Kazumi and his Unwanted Harem

For most men building a harem of women, who would eventually want to show your love and affection would be a dream come true. But Kazumi Ousawa has no interest in such things, due to being an anti-love and considers this a nightmare come true. While he does reject them, this doesn't stop these women from starting a contest among themselves to see who can claim his heart.(Cancelled)

5. Chapter 5

The priests in the room look back towards the three intruders, who they know straight away that they are demons. Their presence here cause them to worry and start performing the cross sign on their bodies.

One of the male's steps forward, kept his face and body hidden by the robes and hood they wear. He mutters "So that's the woman's daughter. I knew it." He then takes out a handgun from his robes, looks back towards Haruka's mother and shoots her in the chest.

The gun echoes across the room, caused the room to go silent and have the three look up at the woman who took a bullet to her chest. She opens her eyes and gasps out at the next pain she felt when feeling the bullet go straight through her body and destroying her heart. She only look at Haruka for only a few seconds before she begins to disintegrate. There was no time for her to say anything to Haruka, as the bullet help finish her off right in front of her.

Haruka screams out "Noooo!" Then brought out a rage in her that she has never experience before. Enraged, she looks at the man who shot her mother and held her hands out to show her nails getting longer to reach the size of actual knives. "I'll kill you… I'll kill you!"

The man only smirks under the hood and aims the gun towards her to fire his gun at her. Kazumi steps in front of Haruka to take the bullet, but before the bullet could ever pierce his chest, Myuu steps in to protect the both of them with a magical shield she creates to block the bullet. The bullet manage to cause serious cracks across the magical shield she made, due to the fact that they are now weaker in this place, and being here made their magic powers more weaker than before.

Most of the people here in robes would draw out knives from their sleeves and charge straight at them in hope of killing them. Haruka charges in, and without hesitation she strikes them pretty easy with her sharp claw-like nails. Myuu was hesitant to harm any of them, despite showing that the enemy in front of her have no problem attacking them. Kazumi would also step in with his sword and kills anyone that tries to harm them. He stays behind Haruka and keeps an eye on the man who has the firearm right now, but Myuu did help by firing a fireball from her hand with a chance of disarming the man by hitting him in the shoulder. The man did roll to the side and decide to stay out of this instead of firing his gun, he just remains at the back with someone else standing beside him, who remains out of the fight. Only these two stay out and watch Haruka slaughter the others in front of them, then defends themselves when Haruka and Kazumi turn their attention towards them when it was just them left standing.

Myuu was left in shock to witness such death in front of her, surprised that the two had to kill humans and not demons. This was something she was not ready to do, as she still shows some kindness towards those who are enemies.

"Well, we've got ourselves some natural born killers here." The man with the gun replies, turned the gun towards the other two demons that remain bind to the chairs. He shoots the both of them through the head and cause them both to disintegrate to nothing. He just smiles and takes off his hood to show himself towards the three. He is a young man with silver hair and red eyes.

"You killed them…" Myuu replies

"And I'll kill every last one of you dogs if I have to." He aims the gun towards Myuu and force Kazumi to stand in the way of his chance of shooting Myuu.

The one that stands next to the man takes off the hood to reveal to be a female. She is older than Kazumi and the others, except for the man next to her. She has waist-length greyish-white hair with bangs swept to the left, dull reddish eyes and shown to have a cold, unchanging expression when looking back towards the others.

Kazumi stares back at her, but before he could attack, Haruka, who was still mad at what the man just did, charged in without even thinking and cause the woman to attack her first. The woman waves out a flask of holy water she kept hidden under the robes, and the moment she waves the water through the air, a burst of blue flames came from the water and burns Haruka. Haruka screams and fell back from the burns she took across her face and chest, forced her to the ground and made Kazumi charge in next to support her. The woman drops her robes to the floor and defends herself with a sudden spear she could conjure in this world like Kazumi can. The woman wore a blue skirt that almost reaches her knees, black leggings underneath, black heels and a white button up shirt with only a few unbutton to show her neck. The spear was silver with some accessories around the end of the blade and at the bottom too.

The moment the two clash, Kazumi hits his blade against the side of the spear and counters with swinging her spear to the side to force his sword to the side and quickly uses the back of her spear to knock Kazumi back with a hard hit across his back. When he backs away, he looks towards the man with the gun and took a bullet through his chest and fell back. With Haruka blind from the holy flames, she remains on her knees and remain looking down at the floor, not knowing that the woman with the spear was ready to plunge the spear through the back of her neck. However, both the strangers look to Myuu, who was beginning to channel her demonic powers, despite losing much of her power while being here. The sight of seeing Kazumi on the ground with a bullet hole through his chest, triggered her to protect him with her powers and that she did. With whatever power she could muster, she unleashes a blast of her black and purple flames that consumes the man and sent him flying back against the wall. The woman looks back to him for a moment, then to Myuu and runs over to support him instead of attacking them. With her away from their reach, Myuu runs towards Kazumi to see how the both of them are alright, which was just the beginning of all of this.

With the two badly hurt and Myuu checking on the both of them, she looks back at the man that slowly sits up and laughs at the damage. The woman help take off his robes to stop most of the fire from burning through to burn his skin. She also uses her holy water to ignite into blue flames again to suddenly purify the demonic flames that Myuu hit him with. It would get worse when another party member joins the scene with a large white symbol appearing above their heads, which catches everyone's attention towards it. The symbol above their heads was a double circle with markings in between the two circles, as well as signs of blue cloud-like energy erupting from the symbol.

"You're all going to die now…" Said the man who has shown to have no damage anywhere on his body, despite taking the frontal attack from that demonic flames that could do serious burns across any person's body. "The fallen angel is here."

"A fallen angel?" Worried came to Myuu, as she was ready to fight such a formidable foe in her current fighting stats.

Kazumi grabs onto Myuu's arm to pull himself up and keep the other over his wound. He looks towards them and asks Myuu "Teleport us out of here."

"R-Right…"

"No! We can't leave!" Haruka cries out. The burns from that holy flame was shown to have done serious burns across her face and down net next and chest too. "I want him dead!"

"Your mother is dead!" Kazumi replies "She doesn't want you to die here with her. Now get us out of here."

Myuu quickly prepares for the teleportation. She held her hands together in front of her to create a large magical symbol that goes underneath them and sends all three of them out of this place. Haruka was about to leave the symbol, but was too late and was left to live to survive another day without her parents.

[Three days later…]

Kazumi and Haruka remain out of school for those three days, after what happen inside that church, but only Haruka was still not happy about what happen in there. She cannot enter that church again this time, knowing that if she had to go there alone then she will perish like her mother.

Today, Kazumi had plans to go out by himself during the daytime and near a place that is populate with people. Unfortunately, since he cannot stand Haruka moping a lot, he had no choice but to invite her outside to join him on a walk in town and get something to eat together, like a friendly date between the two.

Both of them sat in front of one another and have only Kazumi eating the burger he bought. He bought both cheeseburgers for himself and Haruka, as well as fries and drinks with it. When he was halfway of finishing his burger, he notice Haruka only took a few bites and had to speak up.

"Hey, I did pay for that food, you know."

"Oh, sorry."

Kazumi had to stop eating and try to make her feel better "Your parents loved you, so remember that. They wouldn't want you to be this way. Embrace the love they had for you and remove the pain your feeling."

". . . . " Haruka remains looking down at the burger and cause her hands to shake a little, like she was about to start crying. Her eyes did get watery for a moment, but never went down her face to bring tears down at her burger. She looks back at Kazumi and replies "That doesn't help, you know."

"Well…" Kazumi turns his eyes to his drink and replies "At least you had a mother in your life." Then proceeds to drink from the straw.

Haruka was hesitant to ask this question, knowing that Kazumi would not answer this question and feel uneasy at the mention of his mother. She was nervous, but she soon ask the question "What about your mother? Did she…?"

Kazumi stops drinking and looks back at her. He sighs and mutters "Should've known she would bring this up." Then speaks out for Haruka to hear "My mother died when I was born. I'm not even sure if she got the chance to see my face."

"I'm… I'm so sorry, I shouldn't have –"

"All I know from my dad is that she loved me, and that's something I can be happy about. The only thing I hate is that she had to die without being there with me. He had to take care of me all the way."

"Sorry, Kazumi. How did you cope with that?"

"Well, it's different between the two of us. I lived a life without mother and you lived with a mother that cared for you. But I'll definitely be feeling the same way you are feeling if my old man were to die. Right now, you just going to have to accept the fact that they are not coming back."

". . . ."

After the meal together, the walk together until they stop somewhere to sit down on the bench and have Kazumi checking the phone to see a message from Myuu. While Kazumi texts Myuu, Haruka replies "I didn't expect things like this would turn out the way they did…"

"What do you mean?" Kazumi looks back to her

"I had plans on trying to get close to you and get you to like me… But I didn't think the murder of my family would bring me closer to you."

"Hmmm…" Kazumi looks forward and places the phone away

"I'm sorry for pushing you into this relationship…"

"I thought a succubi doesn't care unless they get what they want."

"Not true." Haruka replies and looks down at the ground "My mother felt that way… This won't be a surprise, but my mother did sleep with a few… Other people…"

"Hmmmm… Not sure what to say about that."

"She change her way when she met my father, who happens to be oblivious and always had some excuse to stop her from having her way with him. He was someone she couldn't take so easily. In the end, she found actual love with him and chose to spend her life with only him."

"Hmmm, I guess she found her perfect partner."

"Indeed." Haruka looks back to him "I'm sorry for what I did. I shouldn't mess around with your feelings."

"As long as you don't do it again, I'll consider you as a friend."

"Really? Thank you."

After that, Kazumi brings Haruka back to his home and decides to leave her sight when she came back safe. He decides to go back out for another hunt around the area, search more monsters for him to kill and not have anyone to watch him go berserk against them.

Ten minutes later, Rachel arrives at the house to find Myuu and Haruka together in the house. Myuu invites her inside to have her look around the place, then towards Haruka that sits on the couch and watching television. Haruka was surprise that there was nothing on the news about what she and Kazumi did inside the church, like it never happen, as if the church wants to erase everything that has happen in there, even though they could have use this to the authority, but it was not that simple. Haruka finally turns off the television and sighs, then turns her head towards Rachel and Myuu that comes up to her.

Later on, Rachel decides to play sneaky on Kazumi, while he was away for the time being, by sneaking into his bedroom and trying to find anything that she can complain or learn about him. She manage to bring both Myuu and Haruka to the bedroom also, with both concern and see this would lead to bad news if Kazumi finds them all in his bedroom.

"We shouldn't be doing this…" Myuu replies, while continues walking into the room and looking back at the door "Kazumi can be home any minute."

"I just like to see what this man is hiding." Rachel replies when entering the room, placed her hands on her hips and looks around to find anything interesting she can see.

"This is the third time I came in here." Haruka replies "This… Doesn't really make me feel happy…"

"Why do we have to be here?" Myuu asks "Are you trying to just find ways to get back at him at something?"

"He's been hiding stuff from you, right Myuu? His whole bad attitude against us is just because of some bad eggs from his other school." Rachel approaches his bed and looks underneath the bed to find something that could be interesting "Ah, what do we have here?" She pulls out a large plastic container, filled with all kinds of stuff that she expects would be dirty magazines. Of course, Myuu and Haruka got curious about this and both come closer to take a look at what he has hidden under his bed. The moment Rachel opens it up, she and the other two found themselves to be misled at something else that they found.

"I… Did not expect this…" Haruka replies and left surprise on her face

Rachel scoffs and picks up one of the objects in the box and replies "No wonder he loves killing demons… He's playing Doom!"

"So that's what that helmet was…" Myuu replies and was about to look back at where the large black box was. "He said he paid a lot of money getting that box, but never told me –" She stops when she heard the door slam shut, caused all three of them to gasp loudly at this surprise and look back to find Kazumi at the door.

Kazumi was unhappy that all three of them are in his room, but watching them squirm and terrify that he is here would give him a little satisfaction. "How many times have I told you not to come into my room?"

"K-K-Kazumi!" Myuu stutters and steps away from the two "I didn't mean –"

Rachel stands up and faces Kazumi with the game Doom Eternal in her hand "Why do you play such a game like this?"

"I don't have to explain myself. I can play whatever game I want." Kazumi approaches her and takes the game out of her hands "This is private."

"I didn't know you play Doom." Haruka replies "That game is…"

"It kills demons, I know, but it still makes me happy all the time." Kazumi replies "Better than dealing with women who have serious affection towards me."

The three looks to one another for a moment and Kazumi walks over to the Xbox to turn it on. After turning on the TV and Xbox, he looks to Rachel and asks "What were you hoping to find in here anyway? Dirty magazines or something?"

"What makes you think I had something to do with it?"

"You are definitely the one who probably wanted to know more about me." Kazumi replies "Now could you all please leave my room. Or do you wish to watch me kill more demons?"

The three finally gave him what he want and left the room, but Myuu was the only one who bows and apologises. While he remains in his room, the three go to Myuu's room to talk to one another.

"That man is so supressed." Rachel replies

"Not all the time." Haruka said "He was nice to walk with me around to keep me relax."

"And how did that go?"

"It was… Difficult. It felt like he didn't really wanted to be with me the whole time, but still chose to stay with me."

"He doesn't have a problem with you, but it's like he thinks that every girl he meets is probably like the girls he met at his previous school." Myuu replies

"I confronted him about that." Rachel replies "He wasn't happy about that."

"What did he say?"

"He mentioned he befriended a couple of girls at his previous school and deal with other girls being hostile towards him. I guess they really traumatised him so much that he thinks every girl he meets is like them."

"Or maybe he does this because he doesn't want to be with anyone." Myuu replies "Maybe this character he's making is just to push any girl away from him, or doesn't want us developing any feelings towards him."

"I believe he's nice on some occasions." Haruka replies "But he prefer to be only friends and nothing else."

"Hmmm…" Rachel looks towards the door and crosses her arms

"So does this mean you aren't going to marry him?" Myuu looks to Rachel and she quickly looks back to Rachel in shock

"W-What? Of course were not getting married. That was some stupid deal that neither of us want no part in it."

"Say, did Kazumi ever mentioned his time with his girlfriend?" Haruka asks and looks to Myuu

"He never mentioned about her." Myuu replies and turns her head away with a sight of sadness "I'm too afraid to ask about his past in the other school, knowing he'll just get angry for bringing it up."

"Leave him be then." Rachel replies "If he thinks that all women are like his ex-girlfriend, then there's nothing much more to discuss about it. He wants to keep it all to himself, then let him."

After that, Ryūken came into the girl's room after knocking on it a few times before opening the door. He comes in to catch all their attention and replies to the three "Say… There's not enough food for all of us, so how about we all go out for something to eat."

"Can you afford all of us?" Myuu asks and Ryūken only laughs and scratches the back of his head

"Hey, I'm sure I can handle the bill when it comes to it. Otherwise, I'd be gladly ask Kazumi to help pay the rest."

"Really? Kazumi has money?"

"Who do you think bought those games?" Ryūken responds "I'm not a fan of him wasting such money on it, but he does keep the rest of it to himself."

"Then I guess I can stay for the day." Rachel replies "I'll have to inform my parents first before I agree to dinner."

And so after that, the whole party went with Ryūken in a car and drove straight to a perfect restaurant that does not require formal outfits to fit into this. It was a regular restaurant with excellent food. They got a perfect table against the glass walls that has the view outside, but nobody could see inside the glass. Kazumi had to sit next to Ryūken, while the others sit together and take a look at the menus first before ordering what to have. Kazumi was ready to go first, and happens to be the one to have the highest price than the others, which made him argue with Ryūken about choosing something less. In the end, the deal was made and Kazumi still picks the food he wants, then chooses to pay for the meal if necessary.

After the meal presents itself on the table, and they all begin to eat, Ryūken looks to Haruka and replies "It's all been decided that you don't have to leave our home anytime soon. Unless you have other places to go?"

"I'd probably be much better with you guys." Haruka replies "I don't know anyone else. Mother never…" The thought of bringing up her mother did change the mood for her and everyone sitting around her. She would stop eating, remain looking down at the food and keeping a hold of her breath for a while until finally exhaling when looking back at everyone.

"Hey…" Myuu calls to her "I wouldn't mind having you stay with us. We'll be like sisters."

"Hmm, thank you." Haruka shows a smile on her face and feel relief to hear that.

Ryūken looks to Kazumi and asks "Any objections?"

He looks to Ryūken, then to the others that stop and look back at him to see what he has to say about all of this. He rolls his eyes with annoyance and replies "Fine. She can stay."

Later, Kazumi gets up and walks around the table to go straight to the bathroom that was near the entrance. Just as he was about to go, something would stop him when two girls came into the room and bumps into him when both are paying attention to each other. Both Kazumi and the girl took a step back at the bump, but before one could apologise the other, both remain shock to witness a blast from the past.

It was his ex-girlfriend, named Myuria, and another girl from her school that Kazumi knows well, named Kazane. Myuria was probably the same age as Kazumi, wearing a light yellowish jumper and a green skirt, blonde long hair put to a single braid and green eyes. She was just as beautiful as her friend Kazane, who has tan skin and short blonde hair, black jumper with a bronze-coloured zipper down the middle, a white shirt underneath and white shorts.

As the three remain frozen when they quickly recognise one another. Myuria would speak up first and says his name, while Kazumi says her name and just mutters the name.

In the past when Kazumi was in the other academy and took place sometime after the incident that made him quit the club and never talk to any of the girls from that group. It was at that time he met a new girl from school that he was force to show her around the place, since he chose to sit at the front and was unhappy at this new assignment. After that walk, it was clear she would end up following him around and becoming so friendly to him, since she is friendly with everyone around her. It was at a time that Kazumi did start to fight himself when one side of him refuse to get close to her and the other wants to be close to her. It was a battle in his mind and the fear of her becoming just like the other girls.

The moment the two would officially be call 'boyfriend and girlfriend' is when she came across an old friend. Both of them was walking together after leaving the arcade together and met her close friend. Kazumi was left quiet, like an odd person in this conversation between the two and decides to depart from the two, knowing it was not his place to interrupt this reunion between the two. The man that talks to her was one of those attractive-ladies' man that could easily get her to fall for him and be boyfriend and girlfriend. However, Kazumi was surprise when Myuria calls out his name, noticed her running over to him to come back together on walking together.

"Oh, hey. I thought you'd still be talking to him." Kazumi replies

"He had to go, so I wanted to come back here. That was a little rude leaving me behind." Myuria soft punches Kazumi's arm and still groans a little from that.

Kazumi looks forward and replies "Well, thought you'd want to hang out with him."

"Hmmm, nah." Myuria comes closer to Kazumi and wraps one arm around you "I want to walk with you."

Kazumi's eyes look to her arms that was around his right arm, which made him blush and try to keep a straight face. He looks straight ahead and replies "You're a little too close. People would talk if they see us like this."

"True… But let them talk. I don't mind."

"W-Wha – Really?"

"Yeah. Do you want me to let go of you?"

". . . ." Kazumi left his mouth open and was tempting to say something about it. However, his eyes looking back at hers did made him have a moment to allow her to have her way at this time, plus he was enjoying this moment with her close to him. He replies to her "I can't stop you."

"Good. Then I want to walk like this." Myuria faces forward and leans her head against his shoulder while walking

"Unbelievable…" Kazumi thought to himself and remain walking with her. He felt uncomfortable about this, but he was in a situation where he cannot shove her away from him, since he was really enjoying this. One thing that was a problem was his heart was racing and hopes she does not feel his heart beating fast.

"Say… I've been meaning to ask you something."

"What is it?" Kazumi asks

"Are you… Seeing someone right now?" Myuria replies. Her eyes kept moving left to right quickly when asking this question, like she was showing a softer side and embarrass to even mention about this.

"Seeing someone?" Kazumi looks to her and looks confuse "I'm seeing you."

"That's…" She sighs "That's not what I mean. I heard you once had trouble with girls last year."

Kazumi sighs and looks away for the moment "It was complicated…"

"Oh?"

"It was just a friendship triangle gone wrong. I liked one, the other didn't like me and the other liked me, but I didn't like her."

"Wow… That sucks."

"I never want to talk to them again." Kazumi mutters and got tense at the thought of the two of them.

"Tell me; what do you think of me?" Myuria asks

"W-What? I… Can't really reply to that."

"Awww, I see you blushing." Myuria pokes the side of his face and got him tipping his head away from her "You have something to say."

"Hmmm, I'll only consider you as a friend and nothing more."

"Oh." She faces forward with unhappy "Were just friends."

"Besides, you're someone who'll go out with a guy like him and not a guy like me."

She stops and got Kazumi to stop, too "What's that supposed to mean?"

"Well, you are better off with a guy like him."

"What? Zack?" Myuria laughs "No. I only consider him as a friend and nothing more. If you think I'm into those kind of guys then you don't really know me well."

"Then what guys do you like?" Kazumi asks

"Well…." She lets go of him, placed her hands behind her back and takes a few steps forward when thinking about this "Kind, nice, bit of a dork and awkward." She looks back and smiles to him "And he's always interesting in what I talk about."

"Hmmm, good luck finding that guy."

"I think I've already found that guy."

"Really? Who is it?"

". . . . He's joking, is he?" She thought to herself, sighing to herself and then shakes her head. She comes up to Kazumi, lends her hands out to touch both sides of his face and cause Kazumi to take a few steps back, while also showing a surprise expression on his face. Her warm touch and her close up to him did make him feel embarrass with redness on his face. When she grabs a hold of him, she says this to him "It's you, silly."

". . . ."

"People will think we're going out together. How about we make it official?"

"W-What?"

"I wouldn't mind going out with you, Kazumi Ousawa."

Kazumi was dumbfound at what she said to him, astonished to actually think that the girl he had a slight crush on would actually say this to him. As much as he really wish this was real and really wants to make this official, his loneliness and belief that she is actually messing around with him would get the better of him. In the end, he cannot give her an answer and looks away from her, while she continues keeping her hands to his face.

"What's wrong? Don't you want to go out with me?"

"But… Are you sure? You'll be disappointed."

"If you're saying this because of others, then forget about them. I don't care what they say about us. I really want you to be my boyfriend, Kazumi."

". . . . ."

And with that, Kazumi finally submit to this request and agree to go out with Myuria. Things would be calm the next day at school, but the moment she told everyone in class that she is now dating Kazumi, this cause serious shock to everyone in the room and brought Kazumi into more embarrassing moment with her. While this was the beginning of Kazumi getting more attention, it also had signs of jealousy from the others that he never wish to speak to again. Thanks to her and a long length of a ten episodes of an anime, Kazumi would finally come out of his shell and finally accepts the fact that she really does like him.

But it all went down the drain and Kazumi returns to dislike any girl that tries to get close to him or even wish to be friendly with.

Right now, Kazumi was left by himself with Myuria facing towards him on the other side of the table with Kazane. He remain sitting back against his chair with his right hand touching the side of his glass cup. It was completely awkward between the two, even Rachel, Myuu and Haruka remain sitting beside Ryūken and wish to spy on the three.

Kazumi looks with his right eye towards them, then looks to Myuria and speaks first "Myuria… You look well."

"I've been doing fine. I see you've been moving forward." Her eyes look to the side towards the three girls that quickly look away. She looks to Kazumi and asks "And seeing more than one."

"Not really." He picks up the glass for a drink and drops it back down on the table. He continues "I don't plan on dating anyone and I never will."

"Hmmm, looks like somebody still hasn't moved on yet." Kasane replies with her arms cross and unhappy at this reunion. She looks to Myuria and replies "Hey, we didn't come here to make this mood dark and sad."

"I'm sorry." Myuria bows to Kazumi and continues "You probably don't want to hear this, but I've never forgotten about you." She then raise her head up with sadness in her eyes when looking back at him. He looks back at her and turns his head away when he cannot stare at her anymore.

"Stop…" Kazumi mutters and looks back at her, but his eyes look away from her "I cannot forgive you for what you did that day…" He then turns his eyes to Kasane to say this to her "And what you and the other girls did. It will forever remain as a scar on my body for the rest of my life."

"What I did to you, Kazumi, never happened –"

"More lies." Kazumi sighs and decides to get up off his seat. He stares down at her and says this "It doesn't matter how much I like you, the problem is that I couldn't trust you, and in the end, my mind told me to never be with you and I chose to ignore it. I should've just ditched you from the beginning."

". . . . ."

Kazumi looks back to Ryūken and says "I'll see you all back home." And with that he walks out of the building and never look back at the others.

"Wait, Kazumi." Myuu calls out and decides to go after him, while the other girls remain where they are and eventually join together on one seat. She would finally caught up to Kazumi and asks "Wait. You didn't have to do that to her."

Kazumi stops and looks back to her "Of course you have to be on her side."

"I'm not on her side. But this hatred you have against every woman isn't healthy for you. You think every woman is like her."
