It was a long journey to get me here. I travel through my homeland, pass through the dwarven borders, dismounted off my horse in a quiet village and travel the rest of the way on foot to the east. I was unsure what to do when I find my destination, but so many people are putting little faith in me that they wish I should fail this terrifying quest. However, I will not falter and be swept away in the shadows of depression. Nobody believes in me anymore, even my parent's see me as not an equal with my brother and sister, but I will show them all what I am made of. They will all see when I return with the head of a dragon.

I arrive inside an old ancient and dwarven ruins that have been abandon for ages. As I stand on many of the walkways, I look out over the landscape of gold treasures that stretch so far across the cavernous chambers. I gulp at the sighs of thousands of coins, jewels and artefacts that shine over this place. I had no idea the beast carry such riches of gold that could easily flood the entire capital with it, or buy off the entire country with this amount of gold and still have enough to pay for anything else that one man or woman could dream. After almost thirty seconds of looking out at the oceans of gold, I proceed to take one step at a time on walking over the mountains of gold with leather boots on. As I move forward, I gasp and stop at the hearing of coins that skitter down the golden slopes. The more I continue walking over the sea of treasure, the more noise I make from everytime I put my foot down over it. I could no longer see this as a stealth mission, but the more I stay here, the longer the dragon would return from wherever it is causing outside.

A disaster strikes the moment my eyes stare down at a nearby crown that look so vaguely familiar that I have seen this crown before. The moment pick up the large chalice with the crown inside, a river of gold coins came cascading down the slopes like an avalanche. When I look up, the coins drain away to see the sight of an eye of the sleeping dragon. The beast was not outside, but sleeping inside the caverns with the gold to be use as a blanket. I gasp at the sight of the beast, quickly held my breath in shock and hide behind a nearby column, while dropping the crown and chalice onto the floor. When I begin to try breathing slowly, I hear the dragon exhales from its nostril that made me startle and quickly turn my head to the side. I turn to my right at the sight of more gold that skitters down for a short distance to show much more of the dragons head. I face forward when trying to breathe normally, but the sight of the dragon so close has got my body to fall frail to cowardice, as if my instincts are screaming at me right now to run away and not wake up the dragon.

"But this is my chance…" I whisper to myself and slowly draw out my long sword, continued looking back at my sword and then to the closed eye of the dragon. My hands continue to shake the sword, forced me to stop what I was doing and try to keep it together. As I move away from the column, I was force to stop again and gasp quietly at more of the gold falling, which was coming from the tail that rises from the surface.

I move around the column the moment it was clear, hoping to get closer to the dragon, but the dragon came to me when it begins slowly moving its body down the gold to reach closer to me. It was asleep, but it continues moving closer towards me and I remain frozen like a statue. I stare back at the dragon that remain asleep, slowly proceeding to get as close as I can with one hand to my sword, but the closer I get to the dragon, the more I begin to shake from my hands and body. This was my chance to kill the dragon, but I was so afraid that one step could cause the dragon to open its eyes. However, with only two steps towards it, the eye opens and I remain as a frozen statue once again with my eyes left open wide, as well as keeping a hold of my breath. The moment was here, but instead of moving any further, my fear at the sight of an awaken dragon cause me to stop and have the dragon make the first move first. With a quick blast from its head that rise out of the gold, I took a few steps back until I found myself losing my footing over the gold and left rolling down the hill of gold until I reach the bottom.

The dragon rises from the blanket of gold and reveals its full red body. For the first time, I was about to witness that this dragon was indeed a girl dragon that could actually talk. "Well, well… What have we here?" She speaks and cause her voice to echo across the caverns. She sniffs out and looks down towards me, while I quickly get up and make a run for it.

"I can smell you… I can hear your breath… your fear… Where are you going?"

My fear was enough to give me an adrenaline rush to run as fast as I can down the treasures of gold I found myself hiding behind a platform supporting by short stone legs. The dragon already saw me, so it begins diving its body through the gold to cause more of it to skitter down the slopes until she stops on top of the platform.

"Don't be shy… I won't eat you." She replies with a smile on her face. She moves over the top of the platform, both the front of her feet holding against the top of it. I was lucky that this cavern was once hold to an ancient race with architecture designs that could hold for hundreds of years.

I remain leaning back against the side and remain breathing heavily. I still held onto my sword, but I held onto it too hard that my hand cannot let go of it anymore.

"I didn't wake up just to play hide and seek with you. Hmmm, there is something about you. You are no thief or a knight…" She takes another breathe into the air and gasps "Besides your fear, I smell a lovely perfume on you… Yes… And something else that you carry." She then lowers her head down to take a peek at the frightful man that remains in the corner. Her large eye looks back at me and replies "Ah. You're a prince. I can smell that royalty in you, as well as your fear. You will not be afraid for long."

And with a flash of light that came from the dragon, I close my eyes and cover my face with my left arm. The flash only last for a few seconds, but the moment it ends, the dragon was gone and replace with a woman with an amazing body. My fear went out the window and replace with struck of love-at-first-sight. She came out as a voluptuous woman with red armour with golden outlines, black horns and long red hair. As she approaches me with a smile on her face, I aim my sword to her that made her stop moving. Her eyes look at the blade for a while, but she looks back at me with a straight face, touches the blade with her left hand and suddenly cause the sword to glow green for only a second before it suddenly shatters onto the floor.

"Were you really planning on killing me with that sword?" She asks and gets no response. She taps my lips and cause my mouth to drop, then leans her hand against her chin and replies "Hmmm, you are not that bright." Her eyes lower down to my chest for the moment, then takes a step back, lowers her hand down and introduces herself formally "Well, allow me to introduce myself. I am the high and mighty dragon to ever walk the face of this world. I am Alexstrasza the Dragon Queen, and this here is my treasure trove."

I try to reply as calm as I can be, but I remain stuttering the words "B-B-But… B-But your human?"

"I'm a dragon." She keeps one hand to her waist and the other waving down her body. "It's okay to stare non-stop, even scream a little, because that will get you nowhere."

When she wave her hand down her body for me to look down, my eyes begin to go out of control and remain staring down at her body, but then found my eyes found a point of interesting, which was not the horns on her head or her beautiful face, but her breastplate that remains odd with her outfit. The moment she saw my eyes staring at her breasts, she keeps both hands on her hips, unhappy at the perv side of myself, but it was enough for me to look back to her face and made me gulp in awkwardness.

"I didn't tell you to stare at my chest." She replies and sighs "And here I thought you were a gentleman."

"I-I'm sorry…" I reply with my hands up in front of her and still carrying the sword handle. "P-Please don't eat me."

"Eat you?" She scoffs "I don't eat humans… Well… Unless they really annoy me and steal my riches. Are you here to steal or to donate?"

"Donate? You mean…" I then realise she mention about something I was carrying that caught her attention. I take off a golden necklace with an emerald in the middle with silver around it. Her eyes glare at the necklace and smiles at the offering. While I still remain un-edgy at this conversation, I slowly held my left hand out to her and continue to shake.

"Good." She claims the necklace off my hand and examines it for a while. She looks back to me and continues "Are you a prince? What's your name?"

"Well… My name is Dorian."

"Hmmm, well, Prince Dorian, I accept this gift as peace between us." She places it over her neck and continues "So I will forget the fact that you came all this way to kill me. However, now that your debt is squared, I don't think I'll let you leave my treasure trove. You are far too valuable to leave."

". . . . ."

"It's alright." She lends her hand out to me and I lean back to avoid it, but she continues anyway to only touch the side of my face. At first I thought I would feel the coldness of the gauntlets, but I feel so warm across my face all the sudden. I close my eyes and sighs in relief at this warmth feeling that was making me so calm all the sudden. She replies "As long as your family pay for the ransom, I'll return you to them without any scratches done to you."

I open my eyes and look back to her with sadness the moment she brings up my family. I reply "I… I don't think they'll send anyone for me…"

"What? What do you mean by that?"

"They…" I turn my head away from her, looking down at the gold on the floor and sighs at this. I gave her the answer and say "They said if I don't succeed, then don't bother coming back."

"W-What?" She lowers her hand off my face and takes one step back with shock look on her face "They don't love you? They shouldn't do that to you."

"Well, they do… And they actually mean it."

"That's terrible. Come here." She spreads her arms out in offering for a hug. "Don't flinch away, I just want to hug you." She then presses her body against mine and wraps her arms around me. I was now feeling the full warmth of a dragon that was making me feel better, but was causing my heart to beat pretty fast. I would finally drop the sword handle onto the floor, but I was too afraid to hug her back and just stand there awkwardly.

"This isn't so bad."

I lean the side of my head against her chest and face out at the treasure. I smile at this warmth feeling and reply "You are so warm."

"Well, I am a dragon, so were always so warm. See, this isn't so bad. Why don't you tell me about yourself? Since we have nothing better to do."

"I… Really don't have much to talk about."

"Hmmm, you don't want to talk about your family, right?" She moves her body off of me and keeps her hands against my shoulders. I look at her, raised my head up and remain looking up at this woman that was much taller than me and trying my best not to stare down at her chest. She then finally lets go of me, turns around and takes a few steps away from me when saying "Well, I guess I should talk about myself then. I am the benevolent Dragon Queen of this realm. With you here, I can finally stretch and be myself. Normally, everyone that tries to confront me would always fight my dragon form, so you are actually the only one to actually stand here beside me in human."

"I'm… I'm flattered." I follow her out of the platform and back out in the open with her. She climbs up the mountain of gold and I slowly follow her, while forgetting about anything else, like escaping or any attempts of attacking her. This was probably the only time I could finally be relax and not frighten all the time.

I ask "Tell me, don't you have anyone else?"

"Well, I do have a family, but they are elsewhere at the moment and I am here. Now that you are here, I finally have some more company."

"I… See… But what are you going to do to me? I'm not valuable to you."

She looks back to me with a slight smile on her face and responds "You are still valuable to me. Don't you know that a dragon never gives up her treasure?"

". . . ." The way she looks back at me with that smile, I felt like my heart skip a beat and suddenly blush.

"Hmmm, it's been a real long time since I had any company here that didn't wish to kill me." She replies, continuing on through the lakes of gold until she finally found a suitable location to sit and relax. She claims an expensive chair within the piles of gold and sits on it to act as a royal queen she is. She sits back against it, crossing her legs and looking back towards me.

I ask "How long has it been?"

"Hmmm… I can't quite remember." She replies, while leaning her right hand against her chin, the other underneath her breastplate and her eyes looking above my head at just thinking about the past. She looks back at me and continues "It's nice to have someone that is human, who is willing to be kind to total strangers. Especially to a dragon." She giggles a little and lowers her right hand down to cross arms together under her breastplate.

"I…" I try clearing my throat when hearing my voice was a little off. I reply to her "I do feel glad that I didn't have what it takes to attack you. If I knew who you could become, I don't think I could ever kill as someone as beautiful as you."

"Beautiful!?" She looks at me with surprise on her face, as she did not expect I would ever say that. The moment I said that sentence, I had no idea I put the word 'beautiful' in there. She remains surprise with her arms down and leaning off the back of her chair. She then leans back on her chair, pressing her right hand against the side of her face and shown a sign of a flirty smile on her face. "You really think I'm beautiful?"

"Uhhh, well…"

"My, my, that was… Uhhh, certainly bold of you to say. You've really got this queen flustered from saying that. You've become quite the interesting human. I can't remember the last time someone ever said that to me."

I had to clear my throat again and found myself flustering like she is, as I too begin to feel awkward at saying that to her. I knew now that she was just like any other person, except for the fact that she is a dragon and loves valuable things. I was left unsure as to what else to say to her, so I found myself unable to respond to say anything else to her.

"You've really peaked my interest, Dorian." She replies "I don't always get comments from a prince. Well, you are royalty and you should act like a gentleman to women. However, I notice that by the expressions you had the moment you saw me in this form, I suspect that this is the first time you've actually compliment a woman before?"

"W-Well… Yes."

"Well, anyways. Have you had anything to eat before coming here?"

"No. I did plan on going to the nearby town, but I didn't want to draw any attention towards me."

"Hmmm, not very bright at challenging me with an empty stomach." She sighs when getting up off her seat and approaches closer to me. "Don't worry, cutie, I'll make something for the both of us. It's that time for me to hunt."

"Hunt as in… You're going to kill?"

"Isn't it obvious? I am a dragon, and dragons need to hunt and kill to survive." She then touches the side of my face and continues "But don't worry, I'll only hunt animals and not people. I don't want you eating your own kind."

". . . ."

"But on one condition." She place her right hand on her hip and the other waving her hand out with just her finger moving left to right in front of my eyes. "You are to remain here and never leave. Do I make myself clear?"

"So I'm a prisoner?"

"I wouldn't call it like that." She lowers her hand away from my face and keeps it against her hips "Think of it as protection. I am going out to offer you some food, so you should at least stay here and let me cook. Will you stay here?"

I hesitate to reply "Y-Yes." But I was unsure as to why I would ever feel like leaving this place anyway. I did say to her that if I fail to kill her, then I should never return home, and leaving this place is the only sanctuary I have left right now.

"Do you promise?" She asks when she leans her face closer to mine, which got me stepping backwards and almost falling onto the gold.

"Yes. I promise I won't leave this place. I'll give you my word as a prince."

And with that, she smiles and stands up straight with her arms off her hips. "Good. Now don't be scared when I transform into my dragon form."

She departs from the cave and I got to witness the back view of her going into dragon form. I was not afraid to see her in this form a second time, since I now know she can turn into a beautiful woman after this. While I watch her leave, she stops and turns her head towards me to reply "I know you're staring at my legs." And with that I look away from her and she continues her walk outside the caves.

Following the good meal that she brought, with one dead burning cow for the both of them to eat together and another cow she took with her teeth to eat when hunting for food. She ate much more food than me, which I was surprise to see her in such a physique like that and eager to eat more, but to never gain any more weight than she does right now. After the meal, it would become clear that when midnight covers the land, I begin to skip a beat and my thoughts would suddenly run wild with strange ideas of how the two of us are going to sleep.

"Well now… It's just the two of us, all on our own, far from any prying eyes, inside this place with only one bed."

". . . . ."

She giggles from the expression I had on my face when she brought up the single bed. She replies "Don't worry, I won't do anything that would make you uncomfortable. We've only met, so I look forward of getting to know more of you, cutie."

"B-But… There is no bed here."

"Of course there's a bed here." She replies and comes walking over the pile of gold, then turns around to fall on top of it with her back "This entire treasure is my bed."

"Oh… Oh!" I could finally sighs in relief when hearing that. But with this pile of gold everywhere, I know I will have a hard time sleeping by myself.

"I know you'll not see this comfortable to your liking." She sits up and tilts her head slightly to the side "But I wouldn't mind having you to lay next to me during the night."

"W-What? You want us to –" And a sudden moment came into mind when I picture myself lying next to her with her arms around me and snuggling up to me in her human form. The thought got me flustering and have her laughing at my overthinking.

"Hey, remember what I said to you before? I won't do anything that would make you uncomfortable. I'm just looking out for your wellbeing, and considering there isn't any furniture for you to sleep on…" She turns her head away and looks out at the vast amount of gold. She then rise up off her treasure, looks out at a point of interest and decides to go walking over to investigate. I look with curious towards her and decide to follow to see where she is going.

"Ah, now this is perfect." She says to herself and pulls out a red blanket with fine designs along the edges of it. "You could use this to cover yourself up."

I walk over to take the blanket with both hands and hold it up to see it was big enough for a queen size bed. I smile to Alexstrasza and reply "Thank you."

And so the time came for the two of us to finally get some rest. I saw her move away from me so she could transform into a dragon and avoid any plans of crushing me with her weight. I watch her move around through the gold, moving in circles like a dog trying to get comfortable on the floor. As soon as she felt comfortable, she collapses down and lowers her head down against the gold. I was unsure where to sleep, but she asks of me to come over to sleep beside me and use her body as a pillow. I found myself hesitating to get closer to her, since the last time I got closer to her in dragon form, I was so scared that I remain a statue in front of her. This time, I had the courage to get as close as I can to her, lean my body against her neck and wrap the blanket around me. I could feel the warmth of her body, which was relaxing and comforting. She was enjoying the company and had no problem with me laying against her, and I suspect she is going to enjoy more of my company here for now on.

Eight hours later…

For a long and comfort sleep, I woke up first before Alexstrasza could. I move away from her, stretch my body and rub my eyes with my right hand when still feeling a little sleepy. I look back towards the sleeping dragon, standing in the same distance as I was the moment I saw her, except I am not afraid this time. But it was at this moment where I choose to do something so drastic and crazy that made me anxious to do, which is touch her head. After I swallow, I raise my hand up to get as close as I can without taking a step towards her. I was unable to get close, so one more step was enough for me to try this attempt at pressing my hand against her head. However, before I could get close, I soon realise her eyes have been open and has been watching me for some time now.

"Well, well." She replies, just as the first time she said when she first met me.

Startled at her voice, I move away and collapse into the piles of gold. She lifts her head up and looks down at me with an exhale from her nostrils. She replies "What were you planning on doing?"

"I-I was just –"

"Giving me a head pat?"

"Well… Yes."

"Hmmmm…" She rises up to take a step towards him and leans her head so close to his face to make him feel frighten, as believing she was planning on eating him. However, she stops and replies "Do it."

"W-What? Really?"

"I'll only do this once, so feel free."

I was left surprise at this display. I stand back, wipe my hands against my legs, as if I had dirt on them or something and try for a second attempt at touching her head. She remains where she is, closed her eyes and awaiting for my hand to touch her scaly head. I sighs in relief to feel her warm head, as well as a smile on my face when I slowly move my hand across her head. I was to be the first human to ever give a dragon like her a head pat, and deep down, she was really enjoying the comforting touch from me.

Alexstrasza changes the mood when deciding to open up her mouth and blows enough of her air to send me falling back into the piles of gold. She would transform back into her human form and laughs at this display, but with him not looking towards her, she smiles and rubs her head with the liking display he has done to her.

I sat up, shaking my head and sighs at this display she did to me. She comes back to me, while I get back up again and watch her fix my hair. I remain standing here with her so close to me, continued to keep my eyes only on her face until I soon look away when her eyes look back towards me. My eyes look back to her face the moment she touches the side of my face, caused a moment where the both of us remain silent and still when looking at one another. My heart begins racing fast, while she remains with a straight face and left me unsure what she is feeling right now. I would be the one to step away from her, lower my head down and quickly turn my head to the side to avoid looking down at her body and down to the gold.

"You are not meant to harm others, prince Dorian. The first time we met, you could never hurt me, because you've never taken any life from anyone."

". . . ." I open my mouth to say something, but I found no words to say, so I turn to the side and take a few steps away from her.

"What were your parents like?" She asks, but all she got was a sighs from me and left me frozen for a while.

I knew she would ask for this, and so with her giving me what I want by patting her head, I decide to give her what she wants and tell her the truth.

"My father was strict and my mother followed his instructions. While my mother used to protect me when I was a child, she changed all the sudden and begin expressing her love to only my brother and sister."

"Dorian..." She softly said her voice towards me and I look back towards her.

"My brother was incredible, and I really wished to be like him. My sister was a real beauty and had many attention, but she had the better aptitude of running this kingdom than my brother, while he only wanted to fight and command my father's army across the land." I look down and lift my right hand up a bit, closed my hand and continues "I wanted to try so hard to be like them. In the end, I failed." I turn my head towards her and sighs "My parents knew I was a failure, so they probably thought they didn't wish to spend any more time with a failure…"

"You are not a failure." She replies and spreads her arms out when approaching me for a hug.

"But I am a failure!" I raise my voice to make her stop "They wanted me to fail on killing you. They knew I wouldn't do it, so they just sent me here to die and forget about my existence. I'm nothing!"

She had enough of this, so she wraps her arms around him and presses his body against hers, leaving his face pressing against the top of her breastplate. While he remain silent, she speaks for him "You are something to me. You are treasure, and a dragon will always cherish its treasure."

I turn my head to the side and look out at the view with a sadden expression. "But I'm not even a prince…"

"I've already made up my mind with you. I would've spared you if you weren't royalty. I've really enjoyed your company here and I look forward to spend a long time here with you."

". . . . ."

With her arm around the back of my body and the other on top of my head, I finally raise my arms up and finally wrap them both around her waist. She smiles and remain holding onto me until I was happy again with her warmth body against mine. My sadden life actually got her to grieve for me, which was something my mother could never do to me, but I do not see Alexstrasza as a mother, but someone I begin to love.

"(I love you)" Is probably what I really want to say to her, but that was the next big thing I would be afraid to even say to her. All I could do is say it in my mind and hope that when that time comes, she will say it back to me.

Following the next few days, I remain by her side and she enjoys my company. With her permission, I search through the treasures of this cavern to pick anything that could be of interest to me. I look back to where I drop that crown, the same one that got my attention during the beginning and cause the dragon to appear out of the gold. I return to the first column I hid from the dragon, found the crown that lays nearby and still intact. I put the crown over my head and look towards Alexstrasza, distracted at the necklace she still wears around her neck and was sitting against her golden chair. She finally looks towards me, amused at the crown over my head and got me smiling.

"So, you've discovered the lost crown of Menethil."

"The lost crown?"

"Yes. The lands of Lordaeron was once the ancient kingdom that was ruled by a king that controlled the Alliance. Sadly, his death came at the hands of his son, and that crown has been lost since the beginning of the Third War."

"Yes… I've heard about the stories of the war. Were you part of it?"

"No. But I was there when the armies came to Northrend to cast the king's son off his frozen throne. Following that event, a new enemy appeared in Azeroth and I had to step in to challenge this deadly foe in battle."

"Since you're still alive, I'm guessing you won that fight?"

She nods "But it cost me and my kind the powers of immortality. No longer do we live forever in Azeroth, but we can at least live for another hundred years until we reach a state of old age."

"Really? How old are you anyway?"

". . . ." She raise both her eyebrows and show sign of anger on her face when hearing that question. "Excuse me?"

She rise up off her chair, approaches me with unhappy look on her face and says to me "You must never ask a woman her age. You better show some manners and apologise to me."

"R-Right… I'm sorry!"

"Good." She punishes me with a soft slap across my face that did not really hurt whatsoever. After that, she place both hands on her hips and reply "Now then, with that story done, I think it's time for you to take a bath."

"I… What?"

"Yeah, you heard me. You've been here for days and you are beginning to smell. I can't have you stinking my treasure, so you are going to take a bath."

"But…" I sighs "Yeah, your right…"

"Good. Now come with me, because there's a private place for you to wash up."

So I walk with her outside and notice a nearby waterfall, a perfect area for me to wash up in the waters. While it was awkward to disrobe in front of her, she was kind enough to look the other way and give me privacy to remove my clothes and go for a swim without any clothes. I gasp at the feel of cold water, as I have been embracing the warm heat from her body for days now. As I start breathing a little quickly, I remain standing with just my lower body underwater for a while until I was ready to sink deeper underwater until all anyone could see was my head.

Alexstrasza returns to find me already starting to wash my upper body and rub my face with the cold water. She asks me "How is the water?"

I wash my face and remain keeping the back of my head towards her. "Bit cold… But it's actually great in here."

"Really? That's good to hear." She replies and begins moving her hands down to grab the sides of her armoured pants. "I might actually consider joining you."

"Pfffttt… W-What!?" I turn around to see Alexstrasza, already pulling down her pants, but stops when she looks back towards me.

"Turn around."

"But what are you doing!?"

"What does it look like I'm doing? I haven't bathed myself in a few days and its better off doing it together."

"But… You…" I turn away from her to give her privacy, but my face got redder at the sound of her dropping her armour and getting into the water with me.

"Come on and loosen up. You are such a prude."

"Hey. Cut it out. Don't come in here!"

As she enters the water, she increases her heat of her body to make the water warm enough for me to notice the sudden change in a few seconds. As she dives underwater, I remain where I was until I slowly turn my body to the side and find her rising up out of the water nearby, looking up at the sky and pulling her wet hair away from her face. The moment she looks towards me, I turn away and she giggles at my shy side.

"You are so adorable." She replies "Is this the first time you've been with a woman in bath?"

I look back at her and say sarcastically towards her "Yeah… All women come into bath with me all the time!" Then I turn away the moment I notice my eyes try to look through the water to get an amazing shot at her naked body.

"Tell me something." She swims closer towards me and I remain where I was. "Would you do something for me?"

". . . . ." I swallow out loud for her to hear and unable to reply

She comes in to touch my shoulders and whisper in my ear "Would you be so kind is to massage my back?"

". . . . ." My heart suddenly stops from hearing that, as well as suddenly stop breathing for a few seconds. I look back to her and she giggles when swimming backwards.

"A queen should really have her loyal subjects to treat her well. Don't you agree?"

"I-I'm not the right guy for –"

"You are the only one here, so are you really going to turn me down?"

"But… You're joking, right?"
