Chapter 2

First Flight

Hey, guys. I really like the response I got to chapter one. So let's get going with chapter. Gonna skip the reviews this time. So, my dear friends... Let's kick it up!

SSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS

Lincoln, still somewhat shocked from what he had just heard. The weight of being one of the last members of an alien species and the fact his birth father sent him to be some kind of superhero was quite heavy.

"Are you okay?" Rita asked, gaining a sigh from her son.

"Yeah. I'll... I'll be okay. I just need minute." Lincoln said before sitting down on the floor.

"Well, we're here for you if you need to talk." Lynn Sr said while sitting next to him.

"Speaking of here. How do we get back home?" Lucy asked before Lincoln looked at the disk which remained in his hand.

"This brought us here. It might be able to take us home." Lincoln said before he squeezed the disk, focusing on the garage before another flash of light, the four were teleported back to the garage of the Loud House where they were met by a four brunet year old girl wearing a green sweater and a fourteen year old girl brunet wearing a white shirt, a pink corsage, and a yellow plaid skirt.

"Are you guys alright?" The white clad girl asked as she sprinted to where her family members were standing.

"We're fine, Luan." Rita said before noticing that both brunets in the room were taking regular glances at Lincoln. "How much did you and Lisa here from your cameras?

"Enough to wish to have the remaining information." The green clad girl said before Lincoln looked through the house with his X-ray vision to make sure no other members of the family but the infant Lily were still in the house.

"Okay, Lisa. I'll tell you. But I don't want this to be with the whole family yet. So please, you have to keep this a secret for now." Lincoln pleaded to the four year old.

"Very well, Lincoln. I promise not to reveal your secrets until you choose for them to be revealed." Lisa said before Lincoln led everyone in to the living room where he told Luan and Lisa the story of how he came to be on Earth.

"Wow. That's really heavy." Luan said. Ordinarily, she would crack some kind of joke to lighten the mood. But in this case, there was none to be made. All she could do is walk to her little brother and give him a reassuring hug. "We're here for you." She said before Lincoln patted her arm.

"Thanks, Lu." Lincoln said before he looked over to Lisa. "You're being quiet." He noted.

"These abilities of yours." Lisa began before getting raised brows from the other, not knowing where the experiment happy girl was going. "How far can you take them as of now?" She asked.

A short time later, the Louds who were in on Lincoln's secret were standing in a large empty area where several vehicles were laid out.

"Okay. The institutes surveillance is shut down here after the experiments they were doing here were discontinued." Lisa said, giving Lincoln the go ahead to use his powers the best he could.

Lincoln began the test by walking to a beat up car and picked it up.

"Be careful, honey." Rita said in concern for her son.

"Don't worry. This... this is nothing." Lincoln said with a slight laugh at the ease of his actions before he threw the car up like a toy a few times.

"Impressive." Lisa said, doing her best to hide her genuine amazement behind a scientific demeanor before she threw a black watch to him. "Now, we test your speed. Go as fast and as far as you can within sixty seconds." She instructed before Lincoln nodded and zoomed off.

"Holy!" Luan got out before walking over to where Lisa and her parents were looking in shock at a laptop. How fast is he going?" She asked.

"He's nearly at two hundred kilometers per hour and still rising." Lisa said as her and the others' eyes widened.

Meanwhile on his end, Lincoln was enjoying the exhilaration that this level of speed was giving to him. His elation was ended however as his super hearing picked up the sound of a tire flattening and the screams of several elderly people including...

"Pop Pop!" Lincoln whispered in concern before he changed direction.

Within moments, Lincoln arrived at a bridge to see a buss with a popped tire dangling over the edge. Without taking even a single moment to think, he jumped as high as he could and grabbed the front of the bus.

'Wait. Am I...' Lincoln thought before shaking his head and focusing before he lifted the bus back on to the bridge while still remaining under it. He then took a moment to look down and fully realize what he was doing. He then began to try and move. His movements were clumsy at first, but soon enough he began to gain control as was moving freely through the skies.

Back at the field, the others were looking at the screen.

"Wait a moment. This can't be right." Lisa said, gaining curious looks from the others. "According to this, Lincoln is..." She tried to say.

"I know! It's awesome, right?" Lincoln asked from above them.

"Well, this day is looking up." Luan said, laughing at her own pun as Lincoln landed before telling them what had happened with the bus.

"And you're sure everyone was okay?" Rita asked in concern for her father and the other seniors.

"I used my X-ray vision to check. No physical damage and the worst anyone had in the organ department was some quickened heart rates and breathing. Not enough to cause any attacks otherwise I'd have flown anyone having one to a hospital myself." Lincoln explained.

"Still, we would probably check on Pop Pop. Maybe tell him about your powers." Lucy suggested.

"Good call. I'll meet you there." Lincoln said before he took off flying once more.

"I get the feeling he's gonna use that power a lot." Lynn Sr said, gaining chorus of 'yup' from his wife and daughters.

A short time later, the Louds arrived at a retirement center where they were met by Lincoln at the door. As soon as they entered, they quickly made their way to a room where they were met by Lincoln's grandfather, Albert.

"Dad, are you okay?" Rita asked as she ran to Albert.

"You guys heard about the crash." Albert reasoned out.

"More than that. One of us was there?" Rita said as Al raised a brow.

"What do you mean? I didn't see any o..." Albert began to ask when he heard a noise behind him and turned around to see Lincoln holding his dresser up with one arm. "Okay. That's new." He said before he was sat down and filled in on the situation. "So, how are you holding up after learning all of this?" He asked Lincoln.

"I'm doing my best. It's all a bit heavy. But I'll get by." Lincoln said before Albert put a hand on his shoulder.

"Well, if it helps, you saved a lot of lives today, kiddo." Albert said with a proud smile.

"Thanks Pop Pop. That makes me feel..." Lincoln began to say before he heard something.

"What's wrong?" Lucy asked, noting the look on her brother's face.

"Gunshot and... a carjacking." Lincoln noted. Before anyone else had a chance to speak, Lincoln was gone while the others looking at each other.

In moments, Lincoln was at the scene where he saw a man lying on the ground. Using his power, Lincoln quickly determined that the shot was a straight though. He them quickly picked up the man and used his super speed to get him to an ER. Once the man was safe among the doctors, he sped out of the building and took flight. At that point, it took even less time for him to find the stolen car being chased by the police. Seeing that the driver was heading for a four way street, he quickly swooped down and picked up the car, pulling a wire loose to turn it off. He then landed the car before using is speed and strength to get a tire iron and pulled the jacker out of the car before using the tire iron to tie the man's arms behind his back.

A short time later, Lincoln returned to the Loud House, correctly assuming that his family would return their to meet him.

"Are you crazy? What if you had been seen?" Luan asked in a shout.

"Relax. I grabbed a pair of gloves and knew that you or Lisa would hack any cameras nearby so no one would see me." Lincoln reasoned out.

"That is not the point. You can't just go using your powers in public like that." Rita said, her pride in her son's actions held back by her concern for him.

"Mom, I couldn't just do nothing. That guy could have died if I hadn't been there." Lincoln argued.

"Be that as it may, in the future, since you will no doubt try this again, might I suggest you take a queue from your love of sequential art and adopt a disguise?" Lisa asked, gaining a smile from her older brother.

"Funny you should mention that. I've actually got some ideas for a suit." Lincoln said before he sat down to discuss the finer details with his family.
