The many escapades of Zarbon

Zarbon meets a few yo-kai

It was a lovely day in Springdale when Zarbon, an elite space warrior from another planet, went to the community center located near the elementary school to help run an activity for the kids there. Upon entering, Zarbon's attention was caught when he heard work out music playing. Curious, Zarbon made his way further inside to see what the hell was going on exactly.

When he entered the main area, Zarbon saw to his surprise that a good number of kids were all doing an exercise routine together. Looking over, he saw that a tanned, well toned guy with a single horn growing out of the middle of his head was leading the exercise, laughing and cheering all the while he had the kids all work out.

"Oh my," Zarbon said in a tone of mildly piqued curiosity, "I had no idea that there'd be a group exercise event before the thing that I would be doing for the kids here today."

"I take it that you must be Mr. Zarbon, then," a young male voice said from behind Zarbon, making him turn to see who it could have been. Upon doing so, Zarbon came face-to-face with a school aged boy wearing a red shirt, tannish pants, and a pair of red boots. With the boy was a bipedal cat with orange fur, two tails, and wore a belly warmer. The boy's other companion was a white, wispy ghost guy with thin arms and thick lips. Zarbon thought that the boy's second companion had a very appealing design for some reason.

Nodding to the boy, Zarbon said, "Yes, I'm Zarbon. I take it that you're one of the kids that I'll be working with today?"

The boy nodded in confirmation. "The name's Nate. Also, the cat is Jibanyan, and the white guy is Whisper."

"Whisper and I are both yo-kai," Jibanyan said, with Whisper nodding along.

"What are yo-kai?" Zarbon asked, looking and sounding lost and confused on the matter.

Shrugging, Nate proceeded to explain, "Yo-kai are spirits that have a mild degree of influence in our lives. They can help or hinder us, depending on who they are." Gesturing to the horned guy leading the work-out session, Nate said, "For example, there's Sgt. Burly over there, leading my friends Katie, Eddie, Inaho, and all of the other kids in that unauthorized group exercise activity."

Zarbon looked over to the odd fellow leading the kids in that group exercise, then turned to look back at Nate, Jibanyan, and Whisper. With a surprised look on his face, Zarbon said, "That guy is one of those yo-kai guys that you're talking about?"

"He means well," Jibanyan said, "But Sgt. Burly can get carried away in his bid to get people to exercise."

"The other kids must be inspirited by Sgt. Burly's power," Nate said, "So they won't be able to stop until Sgt. Burly lets them go by one means or another."

Feeling a personal connection of sorts to Sgt. Burly, Zarbon made his way right over to where the fitness yo-kai was operating from. "Excuse me, good sir," Zarbon began, getting Sgt. Burly to stop but the kids he was in the middle of leading in the group exercise were still going, "I understand where you're coming from. Getting others to exercise and get into shape is a rather noble goal if I do say so myself."

Giving Zarbon a curious look, Sgt. Burly asked, "Then why interrupt me in the middle of leading these chunky chicken nuggets through their group exercise, private?"

Listing things off of his fingertips, Zarbon replied, "Well aside from the fact that this group exercise activity wasn't authorized by the people running this center, you're clearly pushing the kids way too much here." A resigned and guilty look appeared on Zarbon's face. "...I should know that better than anyone else, as I've made the same mistake and with fatal results."

Sgt. Burly looked surprised, and mildly relenting. "...Wow, I had no idea that feeling the burn too much could be a bad thing for the health and well-being of those chunky chicken nuggets. You've really opened my eyes, private."

The inspiriting on all of the kids was then lifted, allowing all of them to collapse onto the floor. As the exhausted kids caught their breath, Zarbon said to the fitness yo-kai, "Working out is good, but it must be done in moderation so as to be truly effective."

Sgt. Burly gave a warm smirk of a smile. "You're alright, private. What do you say we work out together? You look like you work out a lot, so I bet that you can keep track for me when I do squats." Patting the sides of his thighs, Sgt. Burly said, "Gotta make my thighs pump it, you know!"

"OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHOOOOOOOO!" Zarbon cried out in aroused, sensual pleasure, "I'd love nothing more, but I've got to lead the kids-"

"After they've all caught their breath, Mr. Zarbon," Nate said dryly as he pointed out that all of the other kids were still winded.

Author's notes;

This chapter has Zarbon impart some words of wisdom to others so that they don't have to make the same mistakes that he himself had made in the past. Anyway, the next chapter will see Cell and the others pop up for another holiday special, one that is way ahead of schedule. Stay frosty.
