The many escapades of Zarbon

Zarbon celebrates the number 69

Zarbon, an elite space warrior from another planet, was minding his own business one well enough day as he was taking a stroll through this one park in his neighborhood where he lived. As Zarbon walked, he came across Elmo and The Count, the former watching as the latter counted out a lot of something that Zarbon couldn't identify due to how far away he was at.

Curious about what Elmo and The Count were up to, Zarbon decided to approach the two of them. Upon getting close enough, Zarbon saw that The Count was counting out one dollar bills. "Fifty-two, ah ah ah ah ah," The Count laughed as he counted out his money.

As Elmo watched The Count, Zarbon got the young red monster's attention by saying, "Oh, excuse me, young man."

"Oh, hello mister," Elmo said upon turning around and spotting Zarbon, "Is there something that Elmo can do for you before Elmo goes back to watching The Count count out his one dollar bills?"

"Actually, that's what I wanted to ask about," Zarbon said, "Why are the two of you out here in the park, one counting out singles while the other one watches? Is this some kind of activity that I don't know enough about to understand?"

Elmo giggled a bit in response. "It's nothing bad, mister. You see, every day Elmo and his friends celebrate a different number, and today's number of the day is sixty-nine!"

"Sixty..." Zarbon said, both his tone and expression showing that he was surprised, "...Nine, you say?"

"It's a very popular number over where Elmo lives," Elmo said, "Because it's a very big number that means a lot!"

"Fifty-seven," The Count said as he continued counting out his one dollar bills, "Ah ah ah ah ah!"

Listing things off of his fingers to Zarbon, Elmo remarked, "Abby's record for the most spells cast in one day is sixty-nine, Gonger's biggest feast he's cooked since moving in served sixty-nine people, Julia has played sixty-nine games with Elmo since she first met him, and right now The Count is in the middle of counting out sixty-nine one dollar bills!"

Zarbon offered a mildly amused smile. "Well of course sixty-nine is quite the fine number. As a matter of fact, sixty-nine just so happens to be my own favorite number."

"Oh!" Elmo said suddenly, "Hey mister, since you just said that sixty-nine is your favorite number, would you like to join Elmo and The Count in celebrating it?"

"Oh my, nothing would please me more," Zarbon replied, joining Elmo in watching The Count as he counted out his sixty-nine one dollar bills.

The Count laid each single out as he counted each of them, one at a time. "Sixty-three, ah ah ah ah ah!" The Count laughed merrily while he was getting close to the end of his goal, "Sixty-four, ah ah ah ah ah! Sixty-five, ah ah ah ah ah! Sixty-six, ah ah ah ah ah!"

Zarbon and Elmo were both tense with anticipation as The Count was a few numbers away from finishing up. "He's almost done!" Elmo whispered to Zarbon, "Elmo can hardly wait!"

"Sixty-seven," The Count said as he counted out another one dollar bill, "Ah ah ah ah ah! Sixty-eight, ah ah ah ah ah!"

The Count took up the last single, and time seemed to slow down to a crawl for Zarbon and Elmo as the last single had been counted. Finally, The Count put it down before saying, "Sixty-nine! I've got sixty-nine one dollar bills! Ah ah ah ah ah!"

Waving his arms in the air, Elmo cheered, "Yay! The Count has sixty-nine one dollar bills! Hooray for the number sixty-nine!"

"OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHOOOOOOOO!" Zarbon cried out in aroused, sensual pleasure, unable to hold his moaning back for even one second longer, "I couldn't agree more, young man!"

As The Count put his money away, Elmo went up to him. "Hey, hey, Elmo wants to ask a question," Elmo said as he got The Count to turn to look right at him, "Why do you have sixty-nine one dollar bills?"

"Ah, it's for when I go to a favorite place of mine later today," The Count explained, "It's called 'The Candy Shop'." Elmo asked if The Count could get him some candy while he was there, to which The Count replied that he was pretty sure that there was a dish of free peppermints inside near the front door before he took off in something of a hurry.

"Aww, Elmo wanted gummy worms," Elmo complained.

Zarbon smiled in a knowing manner. "I'm pretty sure that it's not that kind of candy shop."

Author's notes;

Today's escapade was brought to you by the number sixty-nine, which is because this is the sixty-ninth escapade in Zarbon's adventure here. That also means we're getting close to the end, but there's still a good number of chapters left here. See you all later.
