Less than 50 hours had happened ever since the fight between Godzilla and Kong followed by them teaming up against the 'Mechagodzilla' in Hong Kong. Walter Simmons the founder and CEO of Apex Cybernetics had panicked when his company's creation went out of control and so went to escape through a secret passage way along with a car at the exit for him to make his escape. After it was all said and done, the Ghidora skull at the Apex facility was found and the other in the remains of the Mechagodzilla's head. The authorities were already going to the conclusion that sensing Ghidora was what set Godzilla off when Madison Russell said as much when the reporters found her with her father and her cohorts Josh Valentine and Bernie Hayes.
Soon Walter was found and put into custody and was taken to a United Nations holing facility made to watch as the TV in the area of his holding cell was showing the news. This incident was helping to fix the public's view of Godzilla and there were people claiming that Godzilla attacking the Apex facility in Florida was actually Mechagodzilla made to look like him as a false flag operation. It made his blood boil.
He truly had no idea that would happen but was happy to take advantage of it and was thrilled at the idea Godzilla tearing through Tokyo killing innocent lives so that he and his company would be seen more as the saviours for creating the weapon to kill him.
He was taken to an interrogation room and then the interrogator came in along with an associate of Monarch, "Your connections helped you escape punishment for what your Oxygen Destroyer caused but I am afraid that it won't be quite as simple right now. Not only are the news and public decrying you but your company's stock is tanking and there is the Chief Executive of Hong Kong wanting to fit Apex with the bill of fixing what was destroyed by Godzilla, Kong and your Iron Giant crossed with Jurassic Park." The interrogator explained to him as Walter was making himself look composed.
The issue of the company's stock was further worrying as a lot of company resources and money were put to building his Mecha and the expedition to the Hollow Earth with a lot of budget cuts to other departments with full expectation that the money spent would be paid back to them quadrupled after they save the Earth. The lack of security department's budget probably helped to Emma Russell getting in to play Nancy Drew along with her Scooby Doo gang.
"How could anyone fault what I was doing? These 'Titans' as they are called threaten all of our lives every single time that they show themselves and building a weapon to stand up against them was the most logical conclusion! Humanity should not have to rely on Godzilla to protect us and allow his kingdom of monsters replace us as the dominant species on Earth. What man or court could judge me for willing to build a way that we could eradicate these Titans forever and live in peace!" Walter retorted as the interrogator looked through his files.
"Yes, it is sensible to want a way to protect ourselves and not have to just rely on good monsters but what is not sensible was what you decided was the best way to go about it. Creating a neural link to the skull of the monster that almost wiped the human race out, tell me does no one working at your company have ever seen a science fiction movie? What was wrong with a control system, you could have collabed with Sony and Microsoft with help if you were really having trouble trying to get your robot to work." The interrogator said as Walter knew that would be hard to explain.
"Regretful yes but the Mecha was so advanced that a normal control system would never have been enough! We acquired the skull and it was Ren Serizawa who told me that it was the best solution for the weapon capable of taking back the planet!" Walter replied as the interrogator laughed confusing him.
"Yes the son of the biggest supporter of the Titans and the other puppet master pulling your strings along with the ghost of the three headed monster." The interrogator said making Walter raise an eyebrow.
"Dr Serizawa's obsessions with these Titans destroyed his relationship with his son so he turned to me to be the father that Dr Serizawa never could be! We shared a bond based on eliminating the threats of these monsters once and for all!" Simmons retorted and was confused by the smirk that the interrogator said.
"Thanks to a court order, your board authorised us to look through all company files including company emails and notes that were on the data server." The interrogator said as Walter was keeping back his anger thinking that they had no right to do this. "Serizawa's notes were quite interesting; he discovered that by using the skull to connect his mind to your robot he could take control off it. It seemed that it gave him a god complex and he was planning on killing you himself so that he could become the new god after killing the Titans. It seemed that even if the Ghidora didn't highjack your robot, Serizawa was going to do it yourself." The interrogator said putting down the photo copy as Walter stared at it in denial.
"You provoked Godzilla and put the world in danger, you trusted the wrong person and the world was saved by the Titans you wanted to kill along with two teenagers and a podcaster using a whisky bottle." The interrogator said as Walter grew angry.
"You all shouldn't be listening to the clown with the podcast nor the Madison girl especially with who her mother was! You should be grateful that I wanted to give humanity a fighting chance!" Walter snapped as the interrogator glared at him.
"You said as much in company emails to Serizawa explaining that you expected humanity to bow to Apex and yourself as saviours and if they didn't then that is what the Mechagodzilla would be used for. Be prepared to counter that when it gets brought up in court and the public starts seeing you as a Saturday morning cartoon villain." The interrogator said as Walter cursed his arrogance and carelessness.
"All this scrutiny and what Maia must be going through during all this..." Walter snapped but then saw that they both looked uneasy. "My daughter?" Walter asked hesitatingly.
"Sorry Mr Simmons but we thought you knew, Dr Andrews reported that your daughter didn't survive in the Hollow Earth..." the Monarch executive apologetically said as Walter had a look of grief before it turned to anger.
"How am I just now hearing about this? My daughter was probably murdered in cold blood by that giant ape that the public is now lording over! I lose my daughter and get treated like a criminal just for standing up for humanity!" Walter said getting up to his feet as there were more people coming in to restrain him.
I am using some details from the movie novelization of Godzilla Vs Kong which I plan to get soon. I admit that even as a superhero fan I am all for the Monsterverse to continue over the Snyderverse. I have DVDs of all MonsterVerse movies except for King of the Monsters which I have recorded on my TV box and my DVDS except for the Godzilla movie that started the universe are next to my copy of Shin Godzilla. I have gotten the Mechagodzilla figure from the Godzilla V Kong toyline with a cool bendy tail and i can't wait to have him fight my figure of the 1968 design of the big G as I prefer Godzilla with the cuter head design. I also have a figure of Colonel Packard from Kong Skull Island who has become my favourite military villain. Plus I have the plush toys of Godzilla and Kong that here at least were exclusive to HMV. I will also admit while strongly liking Kong Skull Island over the Monsterverse movies, I was all on Team Godzilla in GVK while also supporting the human members Team Godzilla and Team Kong (except for Maia off course).

Kong in the Hollow Earth finds a Godzilla egg which had been in hibernation and in good faith brings it up to Godzilla so he could take his new son under his wing.
Alan Jones return to be the next Big Bad by turning into a giant kaiju himself, like an experiment of alien material turning him into the Monsterverse version of Biollante.
The remains of the Mechagodzilla project being used by Monarch to create Jet Jaguar to work with Godzilla to fight future evil monsters. I will not mind at all if they use the Godzilla: Singular Point anime design as I like it and I got the toy off it.
