Hello, everyone !

I'm back with a brand new AU fic !

Disclaimer: I only own Haru Heartfilia and the plot

The concert hall was packed with people. Excited screams and shouts filled the entire place, which only got louder as the lighting glimmered and four people appeared on the huge stage. The guitarists strummed their guitars to start the music and the crowd cheered their fan chant in unison.

"Natsu! Gray! Gajeel! Jellal! FIRED UP!"

A pink-haired man then grabbed his microphone and opened his mouth to start singing.

"Mada nan ni mo nai te ga

The crowd cheered loudly once again as the band finished their first verse. Not long after that, the pink-haired man opened his mouth again to sing the second verse.

"Daremo ga tatta hitotsu

The crowd immediately opened their mouths to sing as the man let his microphone go and his other bandmates sang their part in the reff.

The crowd then went wild. They kept screaming their fan chant as the band played their song's bridging music. When it was almost the end of it, the pink-haired man grabbed his microphone once again and sang the final reff along with his bandmates.

"Go all the way

Donna kabe demo buchiyaburu

Hageshiku moeru yume ga aru

"Natsu! Gray! Gajeel! Jellal! FIRED UP! Natsu! Gray! Gajeel! Jellal! FIRED UP!"

The band gave the final beat for their song and it ended with the crowd cheering loudly. The lighting dimmed, but the crowd were still excited as they knew the next song was coming.

Fired Up! ended their concert in another huge success. The crowd left the concert hall in utter satisfaction. Fired Up!'s performances had never been disappointing, they stuck true to their title as the most popular band right now.

Fired Up! was a band established by four high school best friends since five years ago. Their debut single, 'Blow Away', instantly became a hit and turned them into a popular band in overnight. Only three days after their debut, the rookie band won their first win in a major music show. They launched their first mini album not long after that and gained an even further popularity. They were bestowed the title as 'The Nation's Band' only six months after they debuted. They then became internationally known after they released the main track of their second mini album, 'Blaze Up'. The song turned the band into the most popular band currently.

Of course, the band members' good looks contributed a lot as well for their popularity, aside from their songs which were catchy and nice to listen to. The band mostly wrote and composed their own songs, which made them shone even brighter in the music industry.

The band was led by Natsu Dragneel, who also served as its main vocalist and guitarist. He had a toned muscular body with a pair of dark green eyes, and he was blessed with a natural pink hair. His hair was unusual for common guys, but he made it looked so hot. He had a cheery and goofy personality, but he was fierce once he got onto the stage. The fans dubbed him as 'The Eargasm Voice', because his usual voice was light, high pitched, and sort of childish, but he could also turn it into a sexy, deep, and hot one.

Natsu wasn't the only guitarist in the band, because Gray Fullbuster was the main guitarist and he also served as the vocalist. His body was as muscular as Natsu's although it wasn't as toned, and he had a habit of stripping his shirt off on the stage—something which the female fans were so grateful for. Gray had a deeper voice in general compared to Natsu's and he was dubbed by the fans as 'The Drowning Voice'. He had a black hair with a pair of dark blue eyes. He was Natsu's closest friend because he had known him since their elementary years. Even though he fought the most with Natsu—almost all of the time, actually—but they had the deepest bond among others. Gray was the one who taught Natsu how to play the guitar and their shared passion for music blended with their out-of-nowhere-but-for-everything rivalry. However, Natsu was completely beaten by Gray in one aspect. Well, for now, at least. Gray had a girlfriend named Juvia Lockser whom he started to date during his senior year in high school. Juvia was the student council's vice president back then and they were still dating up to this moment. Gray wasn't shy to introduce her to public ever since they became famous, and their fans were very supportive too.

The band was actually created when Natsu and Gray became high school juniors at Fairy Tail High School. Due to their shared passion of making music, they then decided to create their own band. Two other members soon joined them, one of them was Gajeel Redfox. He then served as the bassist and the band's back-up vocalist, up until now. Gajeel and Natsu also bantered a lot, although no one could break the record of Natsu and Gray's daily banters. Gajeel had a long black hair and a pair of piercing red eyes. In fact, he was dubbed by the fans as 'The Piercing Voice' because of his 'piercing' husky voice and literarily due to the number of piercings in his body, particularly on his face. Gajeel was the tallest one with the group as well as the most muscular one. He shared the same status as Natsu: currently single.

Once Natsu, Gray, and Gajeel started bantering, then it was up to Jellal Fernandez to break them apart. He was the band's drummer as well as the band's second back-up vocal. Jellal was the calmest among them—which was why the fans dubbed him as 'The Calm Voice'—, given the fact that he was the oldest in the group. They were all the same age, but Jellal was born the earliest. He had a light blue hair with a permanent tattoo on the right side of his face. Jellal was dating Erza Scarlet—since the second year of high school—who was the student council's president during their high school years. In fact, Gray got to know Juvia because Jellal asked him to company him visiting Erza in the council room one day.

Their band's success, however, couldn't be separated from their own capable manager, Loke Leo. Loke was their classmate from college as the five of them were students at Magnolia University, majoring in music. Natsu and his friends continued their band's activities to college—although their band was still nameless and had only performed in their high school's events back then—and Loke, seeing their huge potential, proposed himself to be their manager. They of course accepted his proposal. As a proof of his capability, the band then didn't only perform in the university's events but also started to perform in local cafes and other community events. Due to their steadily growing popularity, they decided to start naming their band and finally decided on 'Fired Up!'. Loke was also the one who signed them into a major record label, the Fiore Record, which enabled them to reach their current popularity. Loke also had a girlfriend named Aries Ram, they had been dating since their sophomore year.

"Man, I'm exhausted!" Gray stretched his body at the backstage.

Loke handed water bottles to the members which all of them finished in five big gulps. "Shall we go home then? I've arranged the press conference to be held the day after tomorrow instead."

"You are the best, man." Jellal bumped his fist with Loke's.

"I'll send a message to Juvia, then." Gray started to type on his phone. "I'll ask her to tell Erza, so you don't have to send one to her."

"Thanks, Gray." Jellal nodded.

Both Natsu and Gajeel rolled their eyes, they were used to with their best friends' antics of nonchalantly rubbing the fact that they already had a girlfriend on their faces.

"I'll free up your schedule this weekend so you can go on a date with your girls." Loke added.

"You're really the best, man!" Gray grinned.

"Alright, let's go home, lovebirds." Natsu scoffed. "I miss my bed."

The band normally didn't have a day off between their concert and the press conference, but Loke decided to give them a break this time. Jellal and Gray were going to spend their entire day video-calling their girlfriends, while Gajeel decided to write some new songs. Loke was busy arranging their schedules, which left Natsu all alone in the apartment.

Yes, all five of them lived in the same apartment. Their main reason wasn't only to save money but also to strengthen their bonds. Erza and Juvia had never stayed over, it was a rule they set for themselves: no girlfriends could stay over. They created that kind of rule because they really wanted to keep their brotherhood lives private to only themselves.

Because he was bored, Natsu decided to take a stroll at a nearby park. He put on his wig and contact lenses, then stepped out of the apartment. They always disguised themselves whenever they came out because they didn't want anyone to recognize them in their neighborhood, particularly the paparazzi. Loke was extremely meticulous and careful when he picked out the apartment, making sure that they were going to stay in the most secure complex.

Of course, they had to pay a lot for the high level of security. But neither one of them complained, as they knew how precious it was for their lives to be kept as privately as possible. The public may know about who they were dating with, but they didn't have to know everything about their love lives either.

Natsu turned left at the end of the street and soon after that, he arrived at the park. Due to his high-end and quiet neighborhood, the park wasn't that crowded either. There were only a few children playing there, and one of them caught Natsu's attention.

A little boy was playing by his own at a corner of the park, drawing something on the ground with a branch. He had a pale-yellow hair and a pair of big brown eyes. Natsu had seen lots of children, but that young boy screamed out 'CUTE!' loudly in his mind. He smiled to himself and walked over to the little boy.

"Hey, little buddy." Natsu softly greeted, careful not to surprise the little boy.

The little boy looked up from the ground, squinting his big eyes at Natsu and then turned his head to the ground again. "Mommy says, I can't talk to strangers."

Natsu chuckled and squatted down beside the little boy. "How about if we become friends?"

"I don't want to." The little boy flatly replied. "Mommy says, I can't talk to strangers."

Natsu chuckled again and glanced at the ground. The little boy was drawing something, an animal. He was pretty good, but the head somehow looked weird. Natsu raised an eyebrow as he tried to process what kind of animal had that kind of head. "Is that… A horse?"

"No, it's a donkey." The little boy stared at his drawing. "I can't draw the head. I've only seen it once in the picture book Mommy showed me, so I can't really draw it."

"You should make the teeth bigger." Natsu commented.

"Have you ever seen a donkey before, nii-chan?" The little boy asked, his eyes were a bit glinting with excitement.

"Yep." Natsu answered. "Make the teeth bigger and the ears longer. You got the body right, though. That's really awesome, considering you've only seen it once."

The boy nodded eagerly and started to fix his drawing with Natsu's advice. After he was done, he gave a final look at his drawing and nodded in satisfaction. "Yep! That's a donkey!"

Natsu laughed a bit. "Great job, little buddy. You're a great drawer."

"Thank you for your help, yasashi-no-nii-chan!" The little boy widely smiled.

Natsu smiled back at the cheery little boy. "So, we're not strangers anymore, then?"

The little boy shook his head. "A stranger with a bad intention wouldn't tell me how to draw a donkey!"

"Why is that?"

"Mommy says that a bad stranger would often offer me candies and snacks and toys instead." The little boy answered. "Or saying things like 'I'm your mother's friend'."

Natsu laughed. "You have one smart mommy, huh?"

The little boy excitedly nodded his big head. "Mommy is smart! Mommy is awesome!"

Natsu ruffled the little boy's hair affectionately. "What's your name?"

"Haru!" The little boy answered. "Haru Heartfilia!"

"Nice to meet you, Haru. My name is Na—I mean… Yasha." Natsu quickly corrected himself. Who knew how many ears out there that could hear his voice? If he said his real name, then he would be killed by his bandmates.

"I'll just call you yasashi-no-nii-chan." Haru grinned.

"Okay." Natsu grinned back. "How old are you, Haru?"

"Two—three!" Haru quickly corrected his fingers. "I've just turned three last month."

"Happy late birthday." Natsu chuckled. "By the way, you're just three years old and yet you can already talk this eloquent? That's really awesome!"

"What's 'eloquent'?" Haru blinked.

Natsu smiled. "It means that you can spoke really well. You know a lot of words, even the difficult ones for someone as young as you."

Haru nodded in understanding. "Haru is great!" he grinned cheekily. "Haru is great because Mommy is great!"

Natsu laughed again. This little boy was such a cheery and lively one, making him became even cuter in Natsu's eyes. "Come to think of it, where's your mother, Haru?"

Haru pointed somewhere outside of the park's iron fence. "Mommy is doing a quick shopping for dinner."

"Why didn't you come with her?"

"Mommy won't be long." Haru said. "And I want to draw the donkey I saw from the book."

As if on cue, a woman's voice suddenly rang from the other side of the park's entrance. "Haru!"

Haru and Natsu turned their heads over to look and Natsu's breath hitched. Natsu had seen lots of women, but Haru's mother was… Beautiful. Haru must have inherited her blond hair and brown eyes. Her hair was a shade darker than Haru and her eyes were a bit browner than Haru's. She was smiling to greet her son and Natsu was surprised to see how beautiful a smile could be. No wonder Haru was so cute, turns out his mother was a total beauty!

Haru's eyes lit up and he quickly stood up. His chubby legs ran as fast as it could towards the crouching woman who was opening her arms to greet him. "Mommy!"

Haru's mother hugged her son and it took Natsu a few seconds longer before breaking out of his daze and walked towards them. She looked up at him and stood up while carrying Haru in her arms, a hand was carrying her shopping bag. "Thank you so much for accompanying my son."

Natsu nearly lost his voice when he saw her smile from up close. "Y—yeah, no problem."

"He helped me to draw a donkey!" Haru excitedly say.

"Oh, really? Wow, thank you so much for that. He's been quite obsessed with the donkey ever since he saw it on a picture book."

"Sure…"

"I better get back now to start our dinner." Natsu's hand twitched a bit when he heard that, somehow he wanted to ask her to stay a bit longer here with him. He then thought of her husband and his urge dissipated. Her husband was a lucky one to have such a beautiful wife like her., Natsu added inwardly. "Thank you once again for accompanying my son."

"No problem." Natsu let out a smile.

Haru's mother then bowed politely at him and turned her body around to walk away. Haru peeked from his mother's shoulder and waved his chubby hand at Natsu. "Bye-bye, yasashi-no-nii-chan!"

Natsu chuckled and waved his hand back. "Bye, Haru."

Haru's mother then asked him a question which could still be heard by Natsu. "Why did you call him yasashi-no-nii-chan? Didn't you know his name?"

"His name is too hard." Haru complained.

Natsu chuckled at Haru's answer, his eyes were still staring at Haru's mother's figure until she disappeared from his sight. A small smirk made its way to his lips as a thought crossed his mind. He hoped he would be able to see her again one day and asked her name.

Done !

I hope this is a satisfactory opening chapter for you :D

For you who haven't known yet, the lyrics I wrote at the first part is the lyrics to 'Blaze Up', Natsu's character song which was sang by his seiyuu (voice actor), Kakihara Tetsuya ! 'Blow Away' was sang by Kakihara Tetsuya and Nakamura Yuuichi (Gray's seiyuu/voice actor). These are really nice songs and I really suggest you to try listening to it.

And 'yasashi-no-nii-chan' means 'a kind older brother'.

What do you think about this chapter ?

Don't forget to leave your reviews and/or flames :D
