Chapter 170: The Ultimate Chaos General
Chaosmon and Omnimon's swords clanged together as the two fought furiously. Each had long since blocked out what was happening with their comrades' battle as they focused on the other. Sparks flew as their blades clashed, and they both pointed their cannons at each other at the same time, their barrels facing their opponent's.
"Dark Prominence!" Chaosmon cried.
"Graceful Cannon!" Omnimon cried at the same time.
Their attacks collided, the explosion knocking them both back. They began flying in a circle, almost as if they were dancing in the air as they stared down their opponent.
"You don't really think you're going to win this, do you?" Chaosmon asked.
"You know, if you had asked me that a few months ago, I would have said no," Omnimon replied. "But now I honestly think we will."
The unique Digimon's eyes narrowed. "Even if you manage to defeat me, you won't be able to defeat the Demon Lords. That is just a plain and simple fact."
Omnimon glared right back at him. "We've been told that time and time again, and yet we've constantly defied the odds and come out on top, and we've defeated five of them already. But even if we do fail, we're willing to go as far as we can. So we'll keep fighting, no matter what."
Chaosmon didn't seem to have a response to that. But before he could retaliate, an attack suddenly flew past him, and both he and Omnimon stopped circling. The rest of the DigiDestined gathered around Omnimon, staring down the last remaining Chaos General.
"Guys, you're here," Omnimon said. "I guess that means you defeated whatever that dragon Digimon was. And Susanoomon, glad you found your Digivice."
"That's right," said Seraphimon. "We're all here, and we're all together. Now we can finally put an end to this."
Imperialdramon pointed his sword at Chaosmon. "What was it you said before? Something like only your group or ours was making it out alive? It looks to me like that's going to be us."
Chaosmon hesitated. "Megidramon has been defeated then, has he?" He closed his eyes and sighed in resignation. "And I guess that means that you think you can defeat me as well."
"The odds aren't exactly looking to be in your favor," Gallantmon told him.
Slowly, Chaosmon's eyes opened. "You may think that, but I'm afraid you're wrong. You asked me before if I had been given a power boost by the Demon Lords, and I told you that I didn't need one. That's because I still have more power. A lot more power."
"Impossible!" OmniShoutmon declared. "I've seen your power. You're at your limit. And your Digivolution line is maxed out."
"Is it?" the Chaos General asked. "Is it really, OmniShoutmon?"
"Yes!" the dragon Digimon insisted. "The only way you can Digivolve further is to DNA Digivolve, but I don't see anyone else here. That or…"
He trailed off, and his eyes suddenly widened. Chaosmon realize that he had figured it out, and gave a slowly nod. "Yes, your majesty. I can't Digivolve further unless I DNA Digivolve with someone… or possess their Fractal Code."
"No…"
"Yes. I've had the Fractal Code I needed to Digivolve all this time. For many years in fact. I just don't use that form often because, as you know good and well, it's so powerful that not even I can control its power. For convenient purposes, I don't Digivolve unless I need to. And it looks like now I need to."
"Attack him, quick!" OmniShoutmon shouted.
Imperialdramon glanced at him. "But I thought we're not allowed to attack while someone is Digivolving."
"He's not Digivolving yet! Attack him before he starts! Twin Fireball Strike!"
Chaosmon knocked the fireball away. "Too late. Chaosmon Digivolve to… UltimateChaosmon!"
The DigiDestined stared at Choasmon's Digivolution completely speechless. There were truly no words to describe the chaotic monstrosity that was UltimateChaosmon. The name perhaps suited him well, as he seemed to simply be a chaotic assortment of unrelated parts shaped into some semblance of a living creature that didn't look like anything.
"What. The. Hell. Is. That!?" Imperialdramon exclaimed. "Seriously, what is that? I can't make sense of it. It doesn't look like anything."
"OmniShoutmon?" Ophanimon C asked, looking at the dragon Digimon for answers.
OmniShoutmon was breathing heavily. "UltimateChaosmon, an abomination of a Digimon born from four incredible powers coming together. He's one of the most powerful Digimon, so strong he's unable to suppress his own power, and it flows out of him uncontrollably. Digimon at the Rookie level and below can't even get close to him because of it."
"Someone so powerful that he can't control his own power and certain Digimon can't even approach him because of it?" Gallantmon said uneasily. "That sounds really bad."
UltimateChaosmon reached out with his arms stretching out from the chaotic mass that was his body. "Your end is at hand, humans. You will not survive this. Now perish. Ultima Burst!"
Upon what served as UltimateChaosmon's shoulders were two large golden spheres that almost resembled eyes. They glowed brightly before firing beams of energy. The DigiDestined dodged the beams, and the ground erupted in a massive explosion where they hit.
Gallantmon's eyes widened at the destruction. "Wow, that's definitely a lot of power."
"S-So what," Imperialdramon muttered. "I can do that too."
"We have to be careful," said OmniShoutmon. "UltimateChaosmon doesn't just have to incredible power, he's also very strong physically. He can crush Digimon much larger than him easily." He grasped his head. "We're at a serious disadvantage here!"
"Calm down," Seraphimon told him. "We'll handle this just like we always have. Together."
Imperialdramon looked the unique Digimon up and down. "But seriously, how do we fight him. I can't tell what's his head, what's his body, what's his… whatever. Like, where should we attack?"
Gallantmon hesitated. "Well… he's got wings, and there's his arms."
"Yeah, but what are they attached to? Is that his head? His body? His tail? His butt? Does he even have one?"
The Chaos General waved his arms, letting his energy flow out, and the DigiDestined were hit by it as if it were something physical, giving them a taste of his incontrollable power.
Imperialdramon let out a frustrated growl. "Ah, screw it."
He flew at the Chaos General, even as OmniShoutmon called him back. Rising up over UltimateChaosmon, he used his Splendor Blade, creating a sword of light, and brought both it and his Omni Sword down on the Chaos General.
UltimateChaosmon's hands came up, catching both blades easily. The hand that caught his Splendor Blade crushed it in his grip, and it burst into light particles. He then pulled the Omni Sword out of Imperialdramon's hands, then whacked him with the hilt of the sword. The blow would have knocked the dragon Digimon off his feet had he been on the ground, causing him to go lopsided in the air instead. With his other hand, he threw a punch. The force of power behind the punch sent Imperialdramon flying before his fist had even completely landed the blow.
"Imperialdramon!" Ophanimon C cried.
"Did you see that!?" Susanoomon exclaimed. "He barely touched him and still he sent him flying!"
"I told you!" said OmniShoutmon.
UltimateChaosmon turned to them, or at least it seemed like he did, then he easily snapped the Omni Sword on half and threw the bladed end at them. Seraphimon and Gallantmon leapt out of the way as the blade stabbed into the ground where they had been standing before bursting into data.
"Inferno!" Omnimon cried, and rapidly fired his cannon.
UltimateChaosmon held up a hand, and the blasts exploded against his palm.
"You have to avoid his arms," OmniShoutmon insisted. "Most of his strength is gathered in them."
"You know, this is the kind of stuff that would be useful to know ahead of time," Susanoomon stated.
"Advanced knowledge will not help you," UltimateChaosmon told them. "Broken Destroy!"
His hands shot out, stretching to cover the distance between him and the DigiDestined. His left hand grabbed hold of Susanoomon and Omnimon, smashing them to the ground, leaving deep grooves that left them both partly buried.
"Invincible Sword!" Gallantmon cried, slashing at the arm that had grabbed Susanoomon.
UltimateChaosmon released both the god Digimon and backhanded Gallantmon away before retracting both arms. Ophanimon C used her Call Dramon, and her dragon appeared, breathing fire on the Chaos General. UltimateChaosmon raised both arms, balling his hands together, and brought them down on the dragon's head. Its skull was completely smashed in, and the dragon dissolved into data.
"Strike of the Seven Stars!"
"Omni Core Fusion!"
The two attacks blasted the unique Digimon. UltimateChaosmon turned to them and used his Broken Destroy, his arm stretching out to smack both Seraphimon and OmniShoutmon away.
Ophanimon C held out her arms, and her flames spread outward, surrounding her in a vortex of fire. "Try and touch me now, if you're not afraid to get burned. Holy Destroy!"
She fired a blast of holy light. It struck UltimateChaosmon, jolting him back. The Chaos General turned to her and the orbs on his shoulders flashed. "Ultima Burst!"
Beams fired from the gold spheres. And Ophanimon C cursed herself for having already forgotten about that attack. She used her Unicorn Shield as the beams tore through her vortex of fire. Her barrier shattered, but managed to hold back a good portion of the blast. Even so, she still went flying backwards and hit the ground hard.
"Well, screw this," Susanoomon grumbled. "I'm gonna end this quickly. Celestial Blade!"
He manifested his ZERO-ARMS: Orochi, and the giant blade emerged. He swung it at UltimateChaosmon, but one of the unique Digimon's hands came up and grabbed hold of the blade. "Bigger is not always better."
With his other hand, he did a karate chop on the blade, and it burst into light particles. Then he suddenly sped forward until he was right in front of Susanoomon. Raising his fist, he brought it down on the ZERO-ARMS: Orochi, breaking it apart. As Susanoomon stared at his broken weapon in disbelief, UltimateChaosmon used his Broken Destroy, clapping his giant hands together on the god Digimon, smashing him between his palms. Then he spun around, chopping outward again, the side of his hand striking Susanoomon and sending him flying.
The DigiDestined who had been knocked away, floated back over. "Ok, he's, like, really strong," Imperialdramon grumbled.
Omnimon pulled himself up from out of the groove he was buried in. "Pretty big understatement."
Ophanimon C landed beside him and helped pull him and OmniShoutmon to their feet. "We can beat him. If we defeated OmegaArmamon, we can beat this guy."
UltimateChaosmon cracked his knuckles. "Don't be so sure. I am among the strongest of all Digimon."
"Yeah, we've heard that before," said Seraphimon. "And yet our teamwork has always prevailed. Hallowed Ascension!"
Lightning came down on the unique Digimon. He cringed beneath it before raising his hands, keeping the lightning at bay. Imperialdramon began firing his Super Positron Laser. It pushed UltimateChaosmon back for a brief period before the unique Digimon lowered one of his arms to block the beam.
"Volcano Napalm!" Ophanimon C cried, throwing a fireball beneath UltimateChaosmon.
A pillar of fire erupted beneath the unique Digimon, blasting him into the air. OmniShoutmon then slammed into him with his Omni Torpedo, and UltimateChaosmon hit the ground. Omnimon and Gallantmon finished up the assault with their Graceful Cannon and Final Justice. The two attacks hit the Chaos General, pushing him back down and sliding him across the ground. UltimateChaosmon then laid motionless on the ground.
"Take that, you freaky hodgepodge!" Imperialdramon shouted. "So much for your amazing power."
The Chaos General continued to lay there, but then, suddenly, he sprang into the air once again. "Ultima Burst!"
His orbs flashed, and bursts of energy were unleashed. OmniShoutmon, managed to hold back the attack with his Heavy Metal Vulcan, but the others were blasted away by the attack.
UltimateChaosmon stopped firing and looked at OmniShoutmon. "You know you're no match for me. My power is too great."
"Maybe so," the dragon Digimon replied, "but you know that your form has a pretty big weakness. Or should I say, two."
UltimateChaosmon did not reply. It seemed OmniShoutmon's comment had gotten to him, and it left the Chaos General silently seething. The two stared each other down for several long moments before UltimateChaosmon suddenly lashed out with his Broken Destroy, his giant hand flying towards OmniShoutmon.
The dragon Digimon dodged the attack and ran down the length of UltimateChaosmon's arm. His legs became blades as he used his Doom Drillpress, and he kicked out at the Chaos General, aiming for one of the orbs on UltimateChaosmon's shoulders. The Chaos General pulled out of the way, but OmniShoutmon kept attacking, trying to strike at the orbs on the unique Digimon's shoulders.
UltimateChaosmon kept dodging, avoiding OmniShoutmon's bladed legs. As the dragon Digimon kicked out again, UltimateChaosmon grabbed his leg. With a flick of his wrist, there was a crack as OmniShoutmon's leg was dislocated, and the dragon Digimon cried out in pain. UltimateChaosmon increased his agony further by throwing him by his dislocated leg.
As OmniShoutmon went spinning through the air, Susanoomon flew over and caught him. "What were you doing fighting him at such close range? You yourself said how strong he is."
"No choice," OmniShoutmon replied. Reaching down, he grasped his dislocated leg, braced himself, then snapped it back into place, letting out a pained groan. "It's really the only way to beat him."
Susanoomon looked back at UltimateChaosmon as the Chaos General floated over to them. "How so?"
OmniShoutmon pointed. "You see those gold orbs on his shoulders that look like eyes. Those are his DigiCores. He's got two of them, and they manifest outside his body. Any damage done to those will greatly affect him."
"Broken Destroy!"
UltimateChaosmon's arms shot out. He grabbed both Susanoomon and OmniShoutmon in his giant hands and lifted them high into the air.
"Oh no," Susanoomon muttered as he realized what was about to happen. His gaze drifted over to his friends as he saw them rejoining the battle as he and OmniShoutmon were lifted down. "Guys, attack his shoulder orbs!"
The ground shook and cracked apart as he and OmniShoutmon were slammed down. It seemed his friends heard him though, as they made an attempt on UltimateChaosmon's orbs. They charged him all at once, and the Chaos General let his power flow outward. It knocked the DigiDestined back as it flowed over them. Omnimon kicked off the ground and launched himself back at UltimateChaosmon while Ophanimon C shot fire beneath her to fly back at the Chaos General like a rocket.
"T-Sword!" Omnimon cried, swiping at one of the orbs.
UltimateChaosmon turned in mid-air, avoiding Omnimon's blade, and then brought his fist down on him before leaning back as Ophanimon C soared over him, her Holy Slash missing her target. She improvised though, firing a Shining Laser III back at him, and he retaliated with a burst of energy from one of his orbs.
Imperialdramon attacked next, materializing a new Omni Sword. His sword was so big though that he didn't even bother to go for UltimateChaosmon's orbs, and instead just swiped at him in general. The Chaos General avoided the swinging blade before reaching up to catch it.
Using his other hand, Imperialdramon used his Splendor Blade, swiping at UltimateChaosmon, this time aiming for his orbs. The unique Digimon pulled back, avoiding the blade of light, then lunged forward, driving his fist into Imperialdramon's gut, sending the dragon Digimon flying backwards.
Then Seraphimon came flying in with his Excalibur and Gallantmon with his Blutgang. They attacked together, trying to strike his orbs. UltimateChaosmon maneuvered around their strikes for a few moments before unleashing his energy to knock them back.
Susanoomon forced himself to his feet. Looking up at the Chaos General, he used his Heaven's Thunder. Streams of dragons made of lightning came down and wrapped around UltimateChaosmon, holding him in place. Susanoomon grabbed hold of OmniShoutmon and threw him at the Chaos General. The dragon Digimon shot blasts of fire from his hands with his Hard Rock Spirit as he flew towards the unique Digimon.
His attack blasted UltimateChaosmon, and the Chaos General let out a surge of power, freeing himself from the lightning dragons, the force of his power knocking OmniShoutmon back.
"Glory Thunder!" Susanoomon cried, striking UltimateChaosmon with a bolt of lightning.
The others had recovered at this point, and they all charged UltimateChaosmon together. The unique Digimon found it rather difficult to hold off the assaults of all seven of them at once as they made an attempt on his orbs, but whenever they didn't have an opening to them, they simply attacked his body.
"Enough of this!" UltimateChaosmon bellowed. "Ultima Burst!"
He unleashed blasts of energy from the very orbs they were trying to attack, and the DigiDestined were blasted away. They each hit the ground hard, tearing it apart with their impacts, and the Chaos General hovered over their fallen forms.
Being the strongest of the group, Susanoomon was the first one to rise. He forced himself to his feet, groaning in pain, and flew up at UltimateChaosmon to resume the battle, and he was soon joined by Omnimon. The others were having a little more trouble recovering though, and when Gallantmon tried to get up, he fell once again.
"This isn't looking very good," he grumbled.
Rolling onto his side, he blinked a few times, and the Digimon who had opened their home to them came into focus. They were standing a distance away, looking rather worried, with the exception of Hackmon, who was glaring up at UltimateChaosmon furiously.
"Oh, right," Gallantmon mumbled. "Them."
He had actually forgotten about them in the heat of battle, but he was glad that they were still ok. He did wonder though why they hadn't fled to safety.
His gaze landed on Tokomon X in particular, the whole reason the Chaos Generals had come here; to kill the lesser Digimon and take his X-Antibody. That little bundle of data really had so much power in it. It was strange how something so small could cause so much trouble.
Something clicked in Gallantmon's head, and his eyes widened in astonishment. Suddenly finding new strength, he jumped to his feet and rushed over to OmniShoutmon, who was down on one knee, breathing heavily. "OmniShoutmon, how do you use an X-Antibody?"
The dragon Digimon looked at him in confusion. "What?"
"An X-Antibody, how do you use one to Digivolve to an X form?"
OmniShoutmon rolled his eyes impatiently. "Seriously? That doesn't matter right now. I'll answer your questions about Digivolution once we're out of danger. Geez, get your priorities in order."
"No, it's not… Look!"
He placed a hand to his chest. It glowed briefly, and when he pulled his hand away, he was holding the X-Antibody he had, up until a few moments ago, completely forgotten he had been carrying.
OmniShoutmon's eyes widened in disbelief. "Where did you get that!?"
"It's the one Beelzemon had," Gallantmon replied. "Marcus found and gave it to me; he said he thought I deserved it."
OmniShoutmon could have kicked himself. "Why didn't you ever tell me? I was looking all over for it after we defeated him."
Gallantmon winced, feeling foolish. "I was going to tell you, but then I was distracted by Zhuqioamon suddenly appearing and forgot about it."
OmniShoutmon resisted the urge to roll his eyes. He supposed he couldn't blame him though; he too had been distracted by the Sovereign's appearance and had ended up forgetting his search for Beelzemon's X-Antibody. Still, having it would have been very beneficial before now.
"So how do I use it?" Gallantmon asked again.
Frustration gripped OmniShoutmon as he tried to figure out the best way to describe it. "I don't know, you just do. It should be no different than the way you used Grani's data to become Crimson Mode."
"OmniShoutmon!" Gallantmon cried, still sensitive to the subject.
"Oh, cry about it later! We're fighting for our lives here. Look, just Digivolve the same way you have before, only pull your power from the X-Antibody instead of from yourself."
Gallantmon tried his best to make sense of that. He looked back at the fight between UltimateChaosmon and his friends, then down at the X-Antibody, and his grip on it tightened.
"Ok," he said determinedly, and held the X-Antibody above him. "Time for some X evolution!"
The X-Antibody began to glow in his hand, then it suddenly burst into data. It rained down over Gallantmon, and flowed into his body. Then he too began glowing.
"Gallantmon Digivolve to… Gallantmon X!"
When the light faded and the new form of Gallantmon was revealed, one might have thought that his Digivolution had taken a step backwards. Aside from being much larger, his appearance was that of the original Gallantmon, complete with cape, lance, and shield. However, the form was clearly a drastic upgrade from the original, far more complex and more powerful in the appearance, and even his form seemed to pop out more, as if he were a CGI figure standing in the real world.
But even if his appearance seemed like a step backwards, Gallantmon could feel that his power had taken a large step forward. Not quite as big a leap as the jump from a lower level to a higher level, but still a massive power boost.
"Whoa," he exclaimed, looking at his lance, which was now made of pure energy. "No wonder they want these X-Antibodies."
"Yeah, no wonder," OmniShoutmon grumbled, unable to hide the twinge of jealousy he felt at not being able to have the X-Antibody for himself. "Now how about you put it to good use."
"You got it," Gallantmon X declared.
He launched himself at UltimateChaosmon. He briefly noticed that unlike his regular Gallantmon form, which could only hover, his X form was actually capable of true flight, just like his Crimson Mode. And so he flew at the Chaos General, thrusting out with his lance.
UltimateChaosmon whirled around, grabbing his arm before Gallantmon X's lance could impale him. He hesitated as he took in Gallantmon X's new appearance, before glancing at Tokomon X, then back at the knight Digimon. "How did you do this?"
"Surrender and I'll tell you," Gallantmon X replied. "Royal Saber!"
Lightning erupted from his lance, flowing into the Chaos General. UltimateChaosmon snarled and threw a punch, knocking Gallantmon X back. OmniShoutmon shot past him and fired his Victorize Banking. Seraphimon came up behind him and began punching out balls of light with his Hallowed Knuckle. UltimateChaosmon turned sideways and used his Broken Destroy, one arm flying out towards OmniShoutmon, the other towards Seraphimon, grabbing both of them.
"He's open!" Imperialdramon exclaimed. "Hyper Prominence!"
"Holy Destroy!"
"ZERO-ARMS: Orochi!"
The combined attacks hit UltimateChaosmon dead center, and he dropped Seraphimon and OmniShoutmon as he was blasted backwards. The DigiDestined regrouped as the Chaos General recovered, and Susanoomon glanced at Gallantmon X. "Where did this come from?"
"Beelzemon's X-Antibody," the knight Digimon replied quickly. "Forgot about it until now. Let's get him. Final Elysion!"
He fired a more powerful version of his Shield of the Just from his shield, and it struck UltimateChaosmon as the Chaos General began to rise. His friends followed suit, launching their own attacks.
"Graceful Cannon!"
"Giga Crusher!"
"Glory Thunder!"
"Volcano Napalm!"
"Strike of the Seven Stars!"
"Victorize Banking!"
The attacks blasted against UltimateChaosmon, creating a large cloud of smoke that rose up into the air. The DigiDestined didn't allow themselves to relax, having gone through this scenario several times before. And so they cautiously approached the cloud of smoke, ready for the Chaos General to leap out at them at any moment.
They were only half right with their concerns. Instead of UltimateChaosmon emerging, his Ultima Burst attack came flying out at them. The DigiDestined were all blasted to the ground as the Chaos General repeated his attack again and again.
When the onslaught of attacks ceased, UltimateChaosmon parted the cloud of smoke with a wave of his hand. He stared down at the fallen DigiDestined, hovering over them. Then his hands shot down, grabbing hold of Gallantmon X. The knight Digimon cried out as UltimateChaosmon squeezed him tightly, crushing him in his grip.
"I came here for a purpose," the Chaos General told him. "The masters sent me here to retrieve an X-Antibody, and now you will give me yours."
Gallantmon X struggled futilely in his powerful grasp as he was squeezed tighter. "You're going… to have to… kill me…"
"My very thoughts exactly."
A distance away, Tokomon X winced, knowing that it was his own X-Antibody the Chaos General had come for, and he felt guilty, as if this were all his fault. "We have to do something."
"How?" asked Copymon. "Rookies can't even approach UltimateChaosmon, and Hudiemon is no match for him."
Hackmon's eyes narrowed. "Then maybe she can at least get me to him."
Hudiemon gave him a startled look. "You'll get yourself killed!"
"We'll all be killed at this rate," the dragon Digimon snapped, and then leapt up onto her back. "Now get me to that monster!"
Hudiemon hesitated for a few moments before taking to the air, Hackmon riding on her back. The dragon Digimon directed her to fly upward, and they soared higher. As they approached, UltimateChaosmon's overwhelming power flowed over them. Hackmon held onto the butterfly Digimon tightly as the Chaos General's power threatened to toss him off her back, as if it were a physical force or a powerful wind pushing him back.
"Come down on top of him," he told her.
She looked back at him over her shoulder. "Are you crazy?"
"Damn right, now just do it!"
Hudiemon bit her bottom lip and complied. Flying up higher, she flew directly over UltimateChaosmon as he continued to crush Gallantmon X. When one of the DigiDestined tried to get back up, the Chaos General would unleash a wave of energy to knock them back down again.
Hackmon didn't think he could withstand UltimateChaosmon's power any longer. "Throw me!"
Hudiemon didn't argue this time. Plucking the dragon Digimon off her back, she flung him with all her might down at UltimateChaosmon. It was the momentum alone that prevented the Chaos General's energy from sending him flying.
"Fifth Rush!" Hackmon cried, swiping with his claws.
He slashed at one of the orbs on UltimateChaosmon's shoulders. The Chaos General howled in pain, and the output of energy he unleashed sent Hackmon flying. One of UltimateChaosmon's hands released Gallantmon X, and the knight Digimon pointed his lance up at the Chaos General.
"Zeig Saber!" he cried, and his energy lance extended like a stabbing beam of light, firing from the hilt. The attack struck UltimateChaosmon and carried him into the sky as the beam pushed him upward.
"Now's our chance!" Seraphimon exclaimed, and flew up after UltimateChaosmon. "Excalibur!"
He stabbed forward, driving his sword into the very orb Hackmon had just slashed. The Chaos General bellowed, and his hand shot out, grabbing the angel Digimon.
"Omni Sword!" Imperialdramon cried, flying up and bringing his sword down on the UltimateChaosmon's other orb.
With his other hand, UltimateChaosmon caught the blade before the sword could reach its target. Removing one hand from the hilt of his sword, Imperialdramon used his Splendor Blade, stabbing into UltimateChaosmon's other orb. Another roar tore out of the unique Digimon as he released Seraphimon, and began flailing about in agony.
"Fearsome Blade!" Omnimon cried, his sword extending into a cutting beam of light.
He whipped it about, slicing UltimateChaosmon's limbs and other appendages from his body, and then Ophanimon C flew in front of him. "Call Dramon!"
Her fire dragon appeared, and UltimateChaosmon, or what was left of him, was set ablaze. An inhuman bellow erupted from him, and he unleashed a wave of energy that sent all those around him flying back.
"Celestial Blade!" Susanoomon cried, sweeping his enormous blade of light through the air. It tore through the sky, cutting straight through the living fireball that UltimateChaosmon had become, slicing him through the middle.
With the last of the Chaos Generals nearly reduced to nothing, OmniShoutmon flew in to finish him off. "Your time of subjugating others is over. And your masters will soon follow."
Amongst the flames and mutilation, UltimateChaosmon somehow maintained coherency enough to look at OmniShoutmon. "Wait…"
"No chance. Omni Core Fusion!"
His attack flew at the unique Digimon. UltimateChaosmon let his energy flow outward to counter it, but the Omnimon-shaped aura plowed onward. The attack struck, and the final Chaos General burst into data.
(A/N: And with that, the final Chaos General has been defeated. I bet you weren't expecting him to become UltimateChaosmon. And I bet you didn't expect Gallantmon to Digivolve. Come on, admit it, you forgot that he had Beelzemon's X-Antibody, didn't you? That does go pretty far back, but that was the intent. So now we have Gallantmon X who's joined the team. Woohoo! And with no more Chaos Generals, all that's left are the last two Demon Lords. One thing's for sure, they're not going to be happy about the loss of their most loyal servants. Stay tuned to see where things go from here.)
Gallantmon X's attacks:
Royal Saber – Fires a blast of lightning from his energy-lance.
Final Elysion – A more powerful version of his Shield of the Just that fires a beam of holy energy from his shield that purifies everything it touches.
Zeig Saber – Elongates his energy-lance into a beam of light.
X-Heal – Heals self.
Saint Knuckle – Delivers a punch of holy power.
