Author has written 7 stories for Naruto. Wow I have no idea how to make a decent profile, so I'll just wing it... AIM SN: Archangel Kariel Age: 20s Gender: I'm a guy Writing Skill: Mediocre / border-line crap Some things about me: I'm really into movies. Not like I'm obsessed and I have to see everyone but more of the analytical side of movies. I like the introspection of movies on modern culture and civilization as a whole. If you ever talk to me, be prepared to list your top 5 favorite movies. Yes, I will ask that of you. I have a great love and respect for a good tragedy. Growing up I was influenced by some very powerful authors, poets and playwrites. I mean, you just can't go wrong with guys like Poe, Elliot, Shakespeare, and Lewis. Am I right, or am I right? And now days, when everything has a 'hollywood' ending; it's all just too much fluff if you ask me. Don't get me wrong, I love some fluff now and again, but not everything in life goes according to plan. Anyway, I digress. Okay, before I begin to ramble, I need to wrap this up... And if anything here in my profile is important, it's definately my favorite stories. Seriously, what I write is lame compared to those stories. Read my favorites, I promise you, you'll enjoy yourself. (Also, I'm a decent beta reader, if anyone needs help with a story, or heck, if you just want me to read what you're written and get a review, email me your story. That'd be really cool.) Damn, see I started to ramble... sorry. White Eyes in the Darkness: While on a mission to the Waterfall villages, Hyuuga Neji is confronted by a new nemisis; a man with eyes like obsidian shards haunts Neji and torments him with the foresight of impending tragedy. The emotionally hardened Hyuuga desperately clings to his sanity while fighting with his life to protect his team. (NejiTen slow boiled) First I'd like to say that this is my first fic, but even with having said that there really is no excuse for how bad it is. Really this story was my attempt at pulling some insight into the ninja world, Neji, and his possible relationship with Tenten. I'd seen so many stories that turn Neji from stone-cold ninja to smooching softy in less than 1,000 words, and it was kind of upsetting me. So I wrote/am writing this story to show the gradual change that would seem more realistic as well as the events that would cause such a change in a person. Naruto: When Authors Attack Do you enjoy a good Naruto story? Are you tired of skipping over cliche stories? Ever want to laugh at a story that wasn't trying to be funny? Well come on in. Today we're making fun of all the stories that make you sigh. Who remembers back in the 90s when Fox had all of those crap reality TV shows named like World's Worst Police Chase, and When Animals Attack. Yes, I realize that some of the worst TV show titles were the inspiration behind the naming of this story, and some of the worst, cliche, and trite fanfiction is also the inspiration behind this spoof of a story. Every time I /facepalmed after reading a story, I took mental note of what NOT TO DO, and with a large pile of bad fanfic notes, I made this story. Twisted: When the world get's flipped upside down, Hyuuga Neji seeks to regain some balance. The places he stumbles and falls into might just lead to his mental demise in this comedy of errors. (AU/nonAU) I wanted to write a comedy with a twist of cleverness (if I can be so bold as to proclaim cleverness). Of all more 'distant' characters of Naruto, Neji is one of the more diverse characters, which is probably why I like him so much. There's alot left unsaid in the world of Hyuuga which gives me an expanse in which to play. While other characters might seem more dettached or mysterious (Shino, Shikamaru, etc) Neji is one of the few ninja that definately bottles up his emotions. There's a lot of things going on in that head of his, and those thoughts are what I wanted to write about while in a funny setting. Losses: ONESHOT Every corner was a reminder of the life they shared a time long ago. Every street was a painful dream of what could have been but never was. Sakuracentric I hate to say it, but Sakura really is the "damsel in distress" no matter how you look at the first part of the Naruto series. She's there to be put in trouble, she's a plot piece that helps move the story on. But after reading a couple great Sakura stories (check my favs, there's some good ones in there) I really felt like I'd missed an integral part of her character. She really is built for tragedy, and tragedy is an interesting topic to write about for me. I mean sure, who hasn't seen Sakura cry? But I wanted something more, something real, something worth crying about. The Soul's Window: ONESHOT Sasuke, along with Sakura and Naruto, was having the best time of his life... if he would just look deeply enough. Midtimeskip. Sasukecentric It's a very real threat. I'm going to kill characters in my fics. Okay, well I might not do it just yet, but I predict it'll happen soon. I was getting alot of views on my "White Eyes" fic but almost no reviews, and the thought came to me to hold the characters in my fictions as ransom. It's kind of funny if you think about it that way right? Anyway, I was setting up the horrible ending but I just couldn't go through with it. However, next time I get views but not reviews, I swear someone will bite it. Oh, and I'll be really mean too. I'll lure all the wee teenagers to read it by loading up on fluff. There'll be tons of happiness, acting cute, and fuzzy bunnies, but right at the end the stage will be soaked red. So this is your reminder to review often. Having To Let Go: ONESHOT She needed more than friendship, and if she couldn't get that, it made seeing him everyday like torture. Tenten makes a decision that will force him to action, or will allow her to move on... hopefully. NejiTen I've got this best friend from high school named Ryan, and he's the lead singer in a band called Rookie of the Year. So I'm driving home the other day and I pop the CD "The Goodnight Moon" in because I haven't listened to it in a while. This story is kind of the inspiration that resulted from the song of the same name. It's an awkward little story that starts off right at the end of a series of events, but I wasn't really writing it for context. Really what I was wanting to write was the complexity of emotions, and how many times people do things they don't want to. People are constantly doing things to hurt themselves if you think about it. Well I started thinking more and more about the events that lead up to this and decided that it could possibly be a decent story. I'll probably write it soon. NOTE: I'm looking for a beta-reader for my White Eyes Part 2 fiction. Please PM me if you could help (I need all I can get). I'd prefer you to have read part 1 to understand the style and direction of the story, but it's not required. |
