Chapter Four: Psychics, Werewolves, and Vampires
"Hello again Prince Francis." Danny said as he walked Raki into the room. Her hands were bound with an electronic handcuffs that at the slightest sign of rebellion could be forced together at either pair and give off a shock that stunned the body so that it was prevented from moving. The effects lasted close to an Earth hour. He had yet to use it given that Raki was so shocked by what she was seeing.
"Who have you kidnapped now?" Francis asked.
"This is a new friend I met on my journey. She is going to be staying for a while." Danny said as he gestured at Raki.
"Where are we?" Raki said saying her first words since she had been brought on board the ship.
"This is my ship. You are going to be staying here for a bit while we go back to Francis's castle." Danny said switching to her language as he opened another cell and tossed her inside.
"You will get nothing from me." Raki said as she glared at him.
"You say that now but we will be spending a lot of time together and hopefully you will change your mind. Being stubborn will not get you anything. Just look at Prince Francis." Danny said as he left to got back to his quarters. There was a lot of fire in his new wolf. It could be fun seeing if he could tame her.
"Do you need anything my king?" Garel asked him.
"No but alert me when the new prisoner is finished being scanned." Danny said switching back to his language. The walls that made up her cell served many purposes. One such purpose was a deep scan of the individuals stuck inside of them. He wanted to know how it was possible for someone to shift into a wolf on the night of a full moon. He wanted to see how useful werewolves could be in his army. Seto's memories showed that they were stronger and faster than baseline humanity. He wanted to see how much much stronger and how their strength compared to the jaffa. The vampires would follow a similar path once he found a way to control them. He meant hunt down some and start getting answers on what made them but it had been moved down on his list given that it was not like they would die of old age.
"Contact Nirrti." Danny told the contact orb as he took a seat on his bed. He wanted to tell her of his recent acquisitions. She would probably find them interesting too.

"Welcome back my king." Raios said as he stepped through the gate. There were three other jaffa waiting for him with food and drink.
"How was your trip?" Igdu asked him.
"I think that it went rather well. How do you feel about it Raki?" Danny asked as he looked at his recent prisoner who was walking behind him surrounded by three jaffa.
"I think I want to rip your head off and pluck out your eyes." Raki growled at him. She would never give him what he wanted.
"Where is king Henry?" Danny asked. If he was going to see how strong Raki was he was going to need some sacrifices. Henry had plenty of them for him to use.
"We do not currently know but we will find him for you." Raios said.
"Good but do not bring him to me. Tell me where he is and I will come to him. There are something we need to talk about." Danny said. There were things concerning Henry that he had wanted to do and now seemed like a good as a time as any to start.
"As you command my King." Igdu said placing his tray in the hands of the other jaffa.
"Come on Raki." Danny said as he walked into the castle. The servants bowed to him as he passed. He could feel their fear at the situation but they knew better than to try anything that might get them killed.
"Are these your people?" Raki asked him as she followed after him.
"Not exactly. I took over this land and so they serve me but I was not born here. I came from an even more distant land." Danny said.
"What do you plan on doing with me?" Raki asked.
"I want to see how good useful you can be." Danny said. The ship was still scanning her D.N.A so that he could figure out why she could turn in to a wolf. Someone had to have done something to her ancestors and Seto's memories did not explain much of that. All he knew is that for a long time certain members of their village activated the "curse" when they killed their first enemy. Someone clearly had a sick sense of humor though as for along with the power granted to them came a night when they broke every bone in their body to shift into a wolf.
"What do you mean?" Raki asked him.
"Do not worry you will find out." Danny said as they turned a corner and came to the training field where the soldiers practiced their swordplay. It was an long field full of training dummies to stab or hit and fields where soldiers could spar in a circle. It may have been good enough for them but he wanted something a bit grander. Something more like the colosseum of Rome where the gladiators fought.
As he raised his hand the ground shifted to accept his desire. Wood and dirt turned to stone and rose into a medium sized arena while the stands to watch rose even higher with a intricate designed throne rested in the at the top.
That seemed perfect.
"My King we have found King Henry." Raios said.
The day just kept getting better and better.
"There is a problem though." Raios said ruining his mood.
"What is the matter?" Danny asked.
"It sounded like he was talking to someone so we asked for a response from the Ha'Tak but they are saying that no one is with him." Raios said.
He really hoped that King Henry was not going mad yet. He was not ready to have him killed and replaced yet and while the idea of a mad king ruling the country could be useful the man might do something stupid regarding their current situation.
Danny sighed as he created three duplicates.
"You are to go and get King Henry." Danny said as he pointed to one duplicate. "You are to find the Queens and Mary's ladies in waiting and bring them here." As he pointed at the other. As they left he looked at the green sphere that was floating behind him. The sphere went away revealing a black chest.

"Hello King Henry." Danny said with a smile as he saw the king turned around startled.
"You are back." King Henry said.
"I told you that I would not be gone for long. Anyway I wanted to talk with you." Danny said as he picked up a book from the table. It was a book telling the story of Alexander the great.
"What do you want?" King Henry asked. He wondered what this sorcerer wanted now. It was probably going to make his head hurt even worse.
"I want you to leave Kenna alone." Danny said.
"What? Why?" King Henry asked him.
"Because I want her and I don't want to kill you for her. I might eventually be tempted so I figured let's just remove that temptation by getting you out of the way. You still have Diane and Catherine and whoever else you sleep with." Danny said. He did not need Kenna thrown out of a window or have her throat crushed.
"Anything else?" Henry asked and Danny could feel the man getting angrier at him with each passing second. For what he was doing to him and what he was doing to his family. Looks like he really needed to find Setesh because eventually Henry emotions were going to surpass his sense of reason. It was only a matter of time.
"Yes. I need you to gather some guards. Four would be a good number. They should all hold the rank of knight. I want them to bring their weapons to the training field." Danny said.
"What for?" King Henry asked. What was he aiming for?
"A little show that I am putting on. I have my soldiers gathering Queen Catherine, Queen Mary, and her ladies in waiting." Danny said.
"What kind of show?" King Henry asked.
"I found something interesting when I went to Honduras. I want to show you what it is." Danny said.

"Hello Queen Mary, Queen Catherine." Danny said as he approached the group in the throne room. They were standing together in a group and he could feel their anxiety as they waited for him.
"What do you want? Why have you summoned us here?" Queen Catherine asked him.
"I have come back from a journey and have come bearing gifts" Danny said as he walked around the room and turned towards Lady Kenna.
"What kind of gifts?" Queen Mary asked.
"For Lady Kenna a golden bracelet encrusted with diamonds." Danny said knowing that it was the type of present she would like best. He held her wrist to put it on and when their skin touched he sent a small shock through her body. He really wanted to hurry up and acquire the Nish'ta.
"It is lovely." Lady Kenna said as she stared at the bracelet unconcerned with the other people in the room. He left her to it and turned to the others.
"For Lady Lola and Lady Greer flowers just as beautiful as they are. These will never wilt or lose their radiance." Danny said as the servants behind him handed off the presents.
"For the queen your present is one that you can share. A way to talk Prince Francis." Danny said as their eyes widened.
"What?" Queen Mary asked as he presented the contact orb.
"I stole Francis's soul and placed it in this sphere. Whenever you wish to talk to it just say his name." Danny said with a grin.
"What?" Queen Mary asked horrified. Catherine looked like she wanted to choke the life out of him and he held no doubt she would try if she thought it possible.
"I am just kidding. All this does is contact Prince Francis on the ship as the cell he is in is connected to that contact orb." Danny said as they felt extreme worry over what was happing to the prince.
"Now that you have your gifts it is time for us to head out to the training field." Danny said.
"Why would we go there?" Lady Lola asked.
"You will find out." Danny said.

"I see that everyone is here and I am so happy." Danny said as he saw King Henry, his duplicate and the knights arrived at his stadium. He had created it out of stone and sand. The duplicates flew back into him and he absorbed all of their memories. He would sort through them later to see what they had talked about.
"What in the world?" King Henry asked as he turned around confused.
"Just another one of my tricks King Henry." Danny said.
"Now that we are all here what do you want?" Queen Catherine asked. She was still not happy about whole stolen soul joke from earlier.
Her group had arrived first and he had felt their unease and impatience as they waited for King Henry to arrive.
"We are here to see a show. These guards that Henry has brought are going to fight Raki. She is my recent prize from the New World." Danny said.
"That is monstrous. She is going to die fighting them." Queen Mary said horrified at what the sorcerer wanted them to see.
"I doubt it. If we were to be betting on the fight my money would be going to Raki." Danny said as he tapped the round sphere that was on top of his throne's armrests.
"I will not fight for you." Raki growled at him.
"What did she say?" Queen Mary asked him given that Raki did not speak any of the languages that France, Scotland, England, or Spain spoke.
"That she does not want to fight." Danny said before using telepathy to cause her a headache and bring her to her knees. "She is gong to learn that she does not have a choice."
"So she is a slave?" Greer said not hiding the disgust in her tone.
"The Goddess of the Dinai people believes that the practice is acceptable. I cannot convince her to change her mind." Dany said.
"You are a pagan?" Queen Catherine asked him horrified. It was just getting worse by the second.
"If you mean that I do not worship the Christian god or listen to the catholic church then yes." Danny said. He was not sure if there was such a god in existence in this universe given what he knew of the higher planes. It did not matter much either way given that it has not revealed itself to his knowledge not to mention the whole multi-verse existed that was full of gods and beings that could lay claim to the title.
"Is that what you plan to do with our countries? Convert them to your devilish pagan beliefs?" King Henry asked him.
"Let us not focus on such heavy matters for the moment we are here to see a fight." Danny said as he turned to the soldiers. "Fight with all you have against her. If you do not you will not like what I will do to you." The knights looked at him again unsure of what to do. They glanced at King Henry and Queen Catherine who glanced at him before looking at each other and then the soldiers.
"Do as he says." King Henry said as he had another surge of hateful emotions.
"The woman is going to die." Queen Mary said watching as the soldiers approached the woman.
He stopped messing with her mind and let her notice the guards approaching. She was going to have to fight if she wanted to live. If she refused to fight then he was just going to have to use the other wolves that were on the ship. Maybe seeing her severed head would show them how serious he was. He sent that thought to her just so she knew what would happen if she failed.
Raki looked at the knight approaching her and made her move. She moved back a bit picked up a rock and tossed it at the soldier that sent him to the ground. Raki then rushed at him for kick that sent him rolling away from his sword which she grabbed.
"What in the world?" Queen Mary asked.
"I told you that she would win. Now maybe the knights are going to listen when I tell them to go with the intent to kill." Danny said his voice being heard even over the winds.
"What in the world is she?" Queen Catherine asked with wide eyes at what she was seeing. The woman in front of them was faster and stronger than any man she had seen. The guards were having trouble keeping up with her.
"In your language I believe they are called Loup Garou." Danny said as he ate some of the berries that were on his plate. The Jaffa had brought more than enough for all of them but he was the only one eating.
"Are there more of these people?" King Henry asked and the desire to get some for himself were coming through to Danny very clearly.
"I already have a ship full of them and plan to have more." Danny said watching as the man turned towards him in envy. Catherine on the other hand turned towards him in fear and anger.
"You keep these beasts near my son?" Queen Catherine asked.
"No. The only one of them that shared a prison floor with Prince Francis was Raki down there. The others were kept separate." Danny said.
"Is that what you were after when you went to the New World?" King Henry asked as they watched the fight continue. The guards were now trying to surround her but even though they were bigger than her and armed with swords she was stronger and faster. Eventually she disarmed the guards and stabbed them through the back of their armor's chest plates. Even better as they were dying he could see holes in space opening. Other dimensions that only existed for the dead to reside in. There were three such holes. One was cold and distant, the second felt hot and gave off a feeling of terror, and the last gave off nothing. Whatever was on the other side was something that he could not sense. The cold and distant one closed as they failed to meet it's requirements.
The others were not getting them either. He teleported before Raki and opened the black chest that he had brought with him and had been lying at his feet. The chest contained the ancient healing device. As Its lid opened he lifted the device, aimed it at the men and activated it. The light washed over the soldiers healing them. The moment it was done he deactivated the device, placed it back in the chest, and he closed the box. The guards no longer had a single sign that they had been hurt.
"Good job." Danny said to her even though she glared at him with anger. "Now it is time to try with the jaffa but I do not want you killing them." He needed to know the difference in strength between werewolves and Jaffa as if he went to war with a Goa'uld he could know what best to send. Just as he was about to give the order for Igdu to go and bring some Jaffa they came to the yard holding people that were clearly prisoners. One more important than the other. Walking in with his hands bound in the same bindings as Raki was Sebastian. The bastard firstborn son of King Henry and Diane de Poitiers. He was wondering when the man would arrive.
"My King we found this man trying to sneak in the castle. We captured this one waiting for him outside." Nadu said.
"Good job. Throw that one in the dungeons while I talk to the other one." Danny said as he stood and pointed at Carrick and then Sebastian.
"What are you going to do to him?" Queen Mary asked.
"I am taking him to my ship. Prince Francis has been worried over his family. He can spend some time with his brother. I have heard that they are fond of each other. Well before he tried to steal his fiancée." Danny said but not mentioning that Sebastian believed that Francis had ordered him to be killed the night he left the castle. It wasn't but he did not know that.
"What is going on here?" Sebastian asked as he looked around clearly confused.
"You have been gone a while Sebastian and things have changed around here." Danny said as he snapped his finger and Sebastian and Raki fell into a deep sleep. When they woke up they would be aboard the Ha'Tak. He had been waiting for Sebastian to show up. There were scans that he wanted to run.
"No! Wait we have not come to steal we have come to talk. There is a demon taking people in the woods! We have come for help! He stole my sister!" Carrick yelled as he was taken away. He tried to fight but was no match for Jaffa strength.
"Well that was exciting." Danny said to the others that remained behind just lost on what was going on.
He did want to study the man that claimed to be the "Darkness" and what his goal was. The show connected his death to the plague and so he wanted to know how that was possible. Maybe he had finally found a witch. Nostradamus was hiding too well for him to locate which was a shock given his tools. Now that he had Sebastian it reduced Nostradamus's relevance. One psychic was a good as another even if he was not as skilled.

"My king we have found the village where the girl was taken." Kada said to him through the contact orb.
"Good. give me the location and I will start my search from there." Danny said.
"We already completed the search and found his lair." Kada said.
"Truly?" Danny asked surprised.
"We wanted to save you the work my king." Kada said.
"So where is it? Some hamlet? a village?" Danny asked wondering where the man might be hiding and how difficult it must be since he sharpened all of his teeth to a point to scare people.
"No it is a cave in the southeast." Kada said.
"Give me an image of the place." Danny said and watched as the image of Kada was replaced with his destination. Now with an image in his mind it was easy for him to teleport there and take a look around.
"Which direction am I supposed to be walking?" Danny asked and watched as a red path revealed itself. Now all he had to do was follow the long red line. At his speed it only took about ten minutes before he found himself in front of the cave he sought. The only problem was that there was a giant boulder blocking the entrance.
"Kada are you sure this is the path the target took.?" Danny asked.
"Yes we are sure. Wherever this creature lives it is right behind that boulder." Kada said meaning that it had strength higher than a natural person if it could move the boulder whenever it went to get victims. Seems like this was going to be some fun.
"Do you require reinforcements my king?" Kada asked.
"I doubt it but I will send a duplicate in first so that you will not have to worry." Danny said.

"Who resides in this cave?" Danny asked as he called out. His hand's glow produced all the light that he needed. The rock that sealed the cave may have looked solid on the outside but the side that was in the cave was filled with holes the size of fingers. Something strong had to have done this. His guard was up because nothing was going to be sneaking up behind him to try and crush his throat. If the poor bastard even tried it was going to be in a world of pain.
"Well Sebastian is going to be disappointed." Danny said looking at the dead body of Rowan laying before his feet. Looking at her he could see the bite marks on her neck. He stopped moving as he heard something start to move and fast at that.
"How did you get in here?" The "Darkness" asked as it ran around the cave.
"I have tricks of my own. Now come out I have questions for you." Danny said as he tried to focus on where the feet were moving. With each second he was getting better at it.
"What brings you here?" The "Darkness" asked.
"You have been taking people and drinking their blood. Convincing villagers to sacrifice people for you and hang them from trees. I have come to stop you." Danny said as he heard the sound of feet get closer and closer to him.
"Then you have chosen death." The "Darkness" said as it appeared behind him. Danny turned intangible and let it pass right through him and crash into a wall.
"One of us may die but I very much doubt that is going to be me." Danny said looking at the body on the floor.
"Wat are you? A witch?" The "Darkness" asked as he glared at him.
"No I am something a lot more dangerous. You should give up. There is no way some puny vampire is going to get the best of me." Danny said looking at the red eyes and fanged man glaring at him.
"You are full of arrogance. I will enjoy feeding you to the others." The "Darkness" said as it rushed at him only for Danny to grab his arms and give him a kick to the chest that sent him crashing into the wall.
"You will regret that." The "Darkness" said clearly not learning anything as he sent him spinning into the cave's ceiling.
"You talked about others. Is there like a nest? vampire government? Are they making you do this?" Danny asked.
"You will get nothing from me." The "Darkness" said punching his hand through the cave floor and breaking them into smaller rocks. Probably to see if it could kill him by throwing them at him.
"I will get the information that I want but you can decide if the process will be painful or not." Danny said as he raised a hand and lifted the vampire off of the ground. The "Darkness" was sent crashing into the walls of the cave for a good five minutes. He was not too concerned about the vampire's pain as he could see that any bone that broke was in the process of rapid healing.
"Let me go." The "Darkness" growled.
"Will you come with me?" Danny asked holding it in place midair.
"I will never betray the others. Kill me if you must but know that when you do the stars will fall and plague shall sweep the land." The "Darkness" promised.
He already knew of that. He wanted to know how it was possible. Seems like he was just going to have to rip the knowledge out of his head. It did not take long. The vampire may have had psychic abilities but he was still young. It was not even half a century old.
"Thanks for your help." Danny said to the vampire twisting its face in pain. Laurent might have tried to hold his head with his hands if he had been able.
There was so much for the original to learn.

"Why did you kill him?" Danny asked looking upset at the snapped neck of The "Darkness". Great now he was going to have to go over the land and making sure that there were no serious casualties to the coming plague.
"He will heal from this on his own. You will understand in a bit." The duplicate said as they came back to being one person.
Laurent was a recent member of The Strix. The oldest and only vampire society. They were created by the Original Vampire Elijah Mikaelson and were now run by his first sired vampire Tristan De Martel which he turned in 1002. The purpose of Laurent here was too cause fear and terror in the land of France. His actions were meant to explain the dead bodies through the country caused by other Strix vampires. A witch had placed a spell on him that if he were to die it would unleash a plague to make his threats and prophecies seem to be true. I Laurent could do this for a century he would be given a daylight ring which would allow him to walk during the day.
It seems that he would not have to come up with a way for his new servants to survive during the day. Though there were lots of other tests to be conducted.
"Kada how long until the sun goes down?" Danny asked.
"It would be two more hours my king." Kada said.
"Just great." Danny said looks like he was going to have to teleport them back to the ship because if he brought Laurent out to the other side of the cave the vampire would burn from the sunlight.
"I am bringing in the target. Prepare a personal cell for him on the same floor as the werewolves." Danny said.
"As you command." Kada said.
"Do not bother feeding him. Starving him out will make him more agreeable." Danny said as he now knew that Laurent would survive even if he went years without drinking blood. The desiccation process that happened to starving vampires was something he wanted to record as it happened.
