Dale is standing on top of the RV to keep watch for Walkers. He looks over and see's Jim over in the bushes digging holes. He realises that Jim has been at it for quite awhile. He has dug several separate holes.

Dale climbs down the ladders of the RV and walks out to see Jim "Jim? You okay? You keep this up, you're gonna keel over out here. Drink some water at least" Jim continues to dig holes and doesn't respond to him.

In Atlanta, T-Dog, Daryl, Glenn and Rick arrived at the roof top where they had left Merle. They had seen that Merle was gone and what was left of him was a hand. They all stare at Merle's severed hand. Daryl turns his crossbow on T-Dog to kill him, but Rick pulls out his Python "I won't hesitate. I don't care if every walker in the city hears it"

Daryl realises Rick is being honest and lowers the crossbow. "You got a do-rag or something?" T-Dog hands him one and Daryl picks up Merle's severed hand that is already decaying "I guess the saw blade was too dull for the handcuffs. Ain't that a bitch" He puts the hand in Glenn's backpack "He must have used a tourniquet… maybe his belt. Be much more blood if he didn't" Daryl notices a blood trail. The group starts to follow it. T-Dog picks up the tools on the roof "Merle? You in here" The group walks down the stairs.

Daryl shoots a walker in an office with his crossbow. The group walks in and makes sure the coast is clear. "Had enough in him to take out these two sumbitches. One handed. Toughest asshole I ever met, my brother. Feed him a hammer, he'd crap out nails"

"Any man can pass out from blood loss, no matter how tough he is" Rick agrees with Daryl's statement about his brother.

Back at camp, Amy and Andrea have spent the full day out on the lake catching fish. They both come back to the camp with tons of fish for the camp.

"Oh, baby. Will you look at that? Hey, check it out. Ladies… Because of you my children will eat tonight. Thank you" Morales praises the girls.

Andrea sets the line of fish down on the group "Thank Dale. It's his canoe and gear"

Carl runs up and see's all the fish on the group, he looks amazed "Mom, look. Look at all the fish" he says tugging at her shirt for her to have a look. "Whoa"

Lori smiles at the girls and thanks them "Yeah, whoa" she rubs her hand through his hair before putting her arm around his chest to keep him close "Where did you two learn to do that?"

Amy replies "Our dad" Carl asks Amy if she could teach him how to fish. Amy smiles "Sure. I'll teach you all about nail knots and stuff" She looks up at Lori for permission "If that's okay"

Lori smiles "You won't catch me arguing"

Andrea turns her head to see Dale walking up to the group "Hey, Dale. When's the last time you oiled those line reels? They are a disgrace"

Dale doesn't seem as happy as he usually is. "I, uh, I don't want to alarm anyone, but we may have a bit of a problem" Shane comes up to the group. Dale points over to Jim who is still digging the holes.

Jim is still digging holes. The whole camp comes out to see him.

Shane walks over first "Hey, Jim" he continues to dig, ignoring Shane "Jim, why don't you hold up, all right? Just give me a second here, please"

Jim stops digging and looks up at Shane "What do you want?"

Brie walks up and stands next to Shane "We're all just a little concerned, that's all. Dale says you've been out here for hours"

Jim shrugs his shoulder "So?"

Shane rubs his neck "So why are you digging? Are you heading to China, Jim?" Trying to make light of the situation.

"What does it matter? I'm not hurting anyone"

Shane nods his head "Yeah, except maybe yourself. It's a hundred degrees today. You can't keep this up"

"Sure I can." Jim stomps on the neck of shove to dig it deeper in the ground "Watch me" he continues to dig again.

Lori walks up with Carl in toll "Jim, they're not gonna say it so I will. You're scaring people. You're scaring my son and Carol's daughter" she looks over and see's Sophia silently sobbing into her mum's chest, keeping one eye on Jim.

Jim looks over at Sophia and then steps forward and bends down to face Carl "They got nothing to be scared of" he says as Carl steps backwards out his mum's grip. He scoffs and stands straight to look at everyone else "I mean, what the hell, people? I'm out here by myself. Why don't you all just go and leave me the hell alone?"

"We think that you need to take a break, okay? Why don't you go and get yourself in the shade? Some food maybe" Brie suggested before Jim tries to get up in her face.

Shane blocks Jim, stepping in front of Brie "I'll tell you what in a little bit I'll come out here and help you myself" Shane promises "Jim, just tell me what it's about. Why don't you just go ahead and give me that shovel?" Shane extends his hand to get the shovel off Jim.

Jim stands his ground as he pulls the shovel closer to his chest "Or what?"

"There is no or what. I'm asking you. I'm coming to you and I'm asking you, please. I don't want to have to take it from you" Shane extends his arm out once more.

Jim gets in his face "And if I don't, then what? Then you're gonna beat my face in like Ed Peletier, aren't you?" He looks at Carol then back at Shane "Y'all seen his face, huh? What's left of it. See, now that's what happens when someone crosses you"

Brie steps in to defend Shane "That was different, Jim. You weren't there. Ed was out of control. He was hurting his wife"

Jim faces Brie "That is their marriage. That is not his. He is not judge and jury" Jim faces Shane again "Who voted you king boss, huh?"

Shane sighs "Jim, I'm not here to argue with you, all right? Just give me the shovel, okay?" Shane tries to grab the shovel off him but Jim had a firm grip on it and doesn't seem to want to let go.

"No, no, no" Jim protests as he puts both arms around the shovel trying push Shane's grip on the shovel away.

"Just give me the… Jim!" Jim shoves Shane away and then threatens to hit him with it. Brie from behind Jim grabs the shovel off him and Jim turns his head when he doesn't feel the grip of the shovel in his hands anymore he tries to grab it back off her when Shane tackles Jim to the ground "Okay, shh shh"

Jim struggles against Shane's grip "You got no right!" He protests as the group watch from a distance as Shane is trying to diffuse the situation "You got no right!"

"Jim, just stop it. Hey!" Shane yells as Jim is still struggling against Shane's grip "Jim. Jim, nobody's gonna hurt you. You hear me? Shh. Jim, nobody is gonna hurt you, okay?" He tries to calm him down but nothing seems to be working.

Jim cries "That's a lie" he stops struggling and cries more "That's the biggest lie there is. I told that to my wife and my two boys. I said it 100 times. It didn't matter. They came out of nowhere. There were dozens of 'em. Just pulled 'em right out of my hands. You know, the only reason I got away was 'cause the dead were too busy eating my family" Brie bends down next to Jim as Shane lets him go and Jim sits up with his knees up to his chest and wraps him arms around his leg crying into them. Brie puts a hand on his shoulder trying to comfort him. He feels her hand on his shoulder and looks up "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to frighten anyone"

"You've just got sunstroke, come on lets get you into some shade" Brie stands up, offering a hand to Jim who accepts and pulls himself up along with Brie's help. Shane decides to tie Jim to a tree to protect him from hurting anyone or himself. Brie sits to talk to him to keep him company as it seems like he needed it.

"How you feeling now? Calmed down yet?" Brie says picking at the grass in front of her.

Jim nods his head "Yeah I think I just need some water"

"Shane is getting you some, he should be back soon" Shane and Dale come up to them with some water.

Shane knells in front of Him "Here you go, bud" he tips the bottle of water into Jim's mouth as Jim's hands were tied so he couldn't do it himself.

"Pour some on my head?" Jim asks as he was still feeling hot.

"Yeah" Shane nods and stands up pouring some water over Jim's head "Cooling you down, huh?"

Jim nods "Yeah. How long you gonna keep me like this?" He asked as he felt like he was tied up for hours even though it has only been 10 minutes.

"Until I don't think that you're a danger to yourself or others" Lori, Carol, Sophia and Carl walk up to them wanting to see how Jim was.

Jim nods his head as understood Shane's reasoning. He looks up at Carol and Lori to apologise to them both "Sorry if I scared your boy and your little girl"

"You had sunstroke. Nobody's blaming you" Lori nods her head.

Jim looks over at Sophia who had stopped crying as Carol had explained to her what was wrong with him "You're not scared now, are you?"

Sophia shakes her head, still a bit cautious of him "No sir" Jim is glad to hear that.

"Jim, do you know why you were digging? Can you say?" Dale asked, wondering why he was digging all those holes in the first place.

"I had a reason" he was ready to explain but he realised he didn't know why he was digging for hours on end "But I don't remember. Something I dreamt last night" Jim looks at Carl "Your dad was in it. You were too. You were worried about him. Can't remember the rest. You worried about your dad?" Jim asks Carl, who nods his head.

"They're not back yet" Carl answered Jim.

Lori shakes her head as she puts an arm around Carl "We don't need to talk about that".

Jim was still looking at Carl "Your dad's a police officer, son. He helps people. Probably just came across some folks needing help, that's all. That man, he is tough as nails. I don't know him well but I could see it in him. Am I right?" Jim looks up at Shane for clarification.

Shane nods his head "Oh yeah"

Jim looks back at Carl "There ain't nothing gonna stop him from getting back here to you and your mom, I promise you that" Jim says trying to comfort Carl who looks down on the ground, wondering why it was taking his dad so long to get back.

Shane tries to change to subject and claps his hands together "All right. Who wants to help me clean some fish, huh?"

"Sweet" Carl smiles "Come on, Sophia" Sophia and Carl run after Shane and Carol joins them.

"Stay with Carol, all right?" Lori approaches Jim.

"You keep your boy close. You don't ever let him out of your sight" Lori nods in agreement and goes to join the others.

Brie decides to stay with Jim and they start to have a conversation about their old lives before the apocalypse happened. She found out that he lived in the city with his family and that he was a Auto Mechanic, specialising in vehicle repair. He also told her about how him and his family were attacked by walkers with him narrowly escaping while his family were devoured by walkers. She couldn't imagine how he felt watching that happen to his loved ones. She hoped she wouldn't have to go through that with T but the chances of that happening were very high. Thinking of T she was starting to get worried that the others weren't back yet and hoping they would all make it back safely. Even Merle. Because if Merle is gone then all hell will break lose when Daryl goes off.

Her thoughts get interrupted when she hears Morales in the distance "I, uh, built up the rocks all around" Showing the group "See? So the flames can be a little higher and have 'em be hidden"

Shane and Carl were on a log talking about Rick. "Don't worry bud. He will be back soon" Shane says trying to cheer up Carl.

"I hope so, we finally got him back and now he's gone again. Just wish he thought of me and my mum first before going running back to help Merle"

Shane pats his back "I know but nothing was going to change your dad's decision he was going whether we liked it or not"

Carl looks up at Shane "You should of let Brie go out there and help. She could of brought him back to me"

Shane sighs and see's Brie slumped up against the tree next to Jim. They looked like they were in deep conversation. "You know what" he looks back at Carl "I know you and Brie have gotten close since she was brought to camp, why don't we go over and see if she wants to join us around the camp fire and we'll have a laugh and a few drinks" Carl's head shot up when Shane mentioned drinks. Shane chuckles "Drinks for the adults. Come of lets go ask her" Shane stands up as Carl shots up and runs over to Brie.

Lori stops Shane as he was about to follow Carl. "Where is he off to?" She watches Carl run over to Jim and Brie.

"He is going to ask Brie to joins us at the camp fire. Figured she'd be the one to cheer him up over Rick. He's worried incase he doesn't make it back"

"Why does Brie need to cheer him up?" She asks crossing her arms against her chest.

Shane shrugs his shoulders "They have been getting close since she's been here. He was telling me she was teaching him to catch frogs when I was too busy too"

"Getting close to my husband and now my son, is she wanting to play step mum?" Lori said getting annoyed looking over at Carl who was laughing along with Brie.

"Who said anything about her being step mum? Why you getting all uptight? Rick already told me nothing happened between her and Rick out there. And why would it?"

"Why are you all of a sudden jumping to her defence?" Lori was really annoyed now as it seemed like Shane had taken a liking to her. "You wanna jump in her pants now too? You forgetting you slept with me after thinking Rick died.

Shane rolls his eyes "I already told you that was a mistake and it will never happen again. Why are you so bothered if I do like her? It was a one time thing and we both agreed that's all it was"

"What if we made a mistake in thinking that? What if it was a sign for us to be together?" Lori questioned as she had hopes that he liked her. He must of if he slept with her.

"Rick. Your husband. You do remember him right? He is back and he is my best friend. It was a spur in the moment thing. We were both broken thinking we lost him. He is back Lori. We don't belong together. But you's do. Please don't ruin your marriage because of a stupid thing we done ages ago" Shane walks off in the direction that Carl ran to. Lori huffs and goes to sit next to Carol as she walks Carl still talking Brie.

"You okay? You seem agitated" Carol asks as she has her arm wrapped around Sophia.

"Agitated ain't the word" Lori mumbles still watching over Carl.

Shane makes his way over to Carl. "Hey, Jim. How you feeling, man?"

Jim nods "I'm better. More myself now, thanks to Brie" Brie smiles next to him.

"I hope you understand the need for this timeout. I've got others I've got to think about. I just want to make sure there's no hard feelings" Shane asks to call a truce.

"There's not. I do understand" Jim nods.

Brie puts her hand over his before she decides to stand up. "Come on Carl lets go and sit with everyone around the fire" she says putting an arm around him as they walk over to the group.

Shane watches Brie walk back towards the group "Okay" Shane turns around back to Jim "Why don't you come join in with the rest of us? Big ol' fish fry"

Jim smiles "I'd like that very much" Shane starts to untie him and helps Jim up once the chain drops. He pats his back as they both join the group.

Carol and Sophia come to see Ed in the tent. Ed's face is bruised and he has been in the tent since the beating "Why don't you come outside with everybody?"

"Hell with them people. Wouldn't piss on them if their heads were on fire" Sophia goes to leave, but Ed holds onto her "Hey! Why don't you stay here? Keep your daddy company"

"Ed, she wants to join in. Come on" They both leave.

Ed continues to lie down in the tent "Fine. Hell with the both of you. Ain't no need to be bothering me no more the rest of the night"

As dusk approaches the group enjoys a fish dinner. Everyone is having a good time. Amy gets up from the campfire "Where are you going?" Andrea asks as she watches her sister stand up.

Amy looks around the group as she notices all heads are turned towards her "I have to pee. Jeez, you try to be discreet around here"Everyone laughs as she walks off to the RV.

At Ed's tent, Ed hears footsteps and sees a figure of a person outside of his tent. Ed thinks it Carol "Thought I told y'all to leave me the hell alone, didn't I? Hey! What'd I say?" The person claws at the tent and Ed opens it to yell at her. It was a Walker. The Walker jumps on him and takes a bite right out of his neck. Several other Walkers join in.

Amy comes out of the RV "We're out of toilet paper?" When Amy steps out, a Walker steps right up to her and takes a bite out of her arm. She screams in pain. Andrea witnesses this and screams. Everyone starts to scatter as Brie pulls out her gun.

Carl runs towards Lori "Mom!" He reaches her as he pushes him behind her and shouts for Shane.

"Lori, get him down!" Shane grabs his shotgun and shoots several walkers with it.

Jim picks up a baseball bat and crushes a Walker's skull with it. Everyone takes cover and Dale picks up his rifle. Some people are attacked and bitten by Walkers. Morales grabs a baseball bat and kills one of the Walkers with it.

Lori and Carl run up and hide behind Shane "I'm right here. Shane, what do we do? Shane?"

"Follow me!" Morales yells. The Walker that attacked Amy takes a bite out of her neck. Andrea runs to Amy screaming. Brie kills the Walker that attacked Amy and Andrea kneels over her sister.

"Oh God, I don't know what to do. I don't know what to do" Andrea pleads as she puts Amy's head in her lap. The fight continues and Shane keeps Lori and Carl close.

"Come on. Come on, stay close"

"Carol!" Lori shouts as Carol and Sophia are getting surrounded by 2 walkers coming at either side of them. Jim hits one over the head with his bat as Brie shoots the other one. She grabs Carol's wrist and pulls her and Sophia over to Lori who reaches out for Carol and pulls them behind her as her and Carl are already behind Shane.

Morales continues to kill two more Walkers that are trying to get at his family.

Shane looks around and can't see Brie anywhere "Morales where is Brie?"

Morales is still shooting walkers "I don't know the last time I seen her she was helping Jim"

Shane looks around for Brie which he see's her teaming with Jim, killing more walkers. Lori see's walker coming at Shane "Right in front of you. Shane!" Shane shoots another Walker.

"Get to the RV! Go" Morales is able to kill three more and flees for the RV.

Rick, T-Dog, Daryl, and Glenn arrive in time to kill more of the Walkers to save their group. Rick shoots five of the Walkers, Daryl kills four, two with the butt of his rifle, Glenn shots two, T-Dog shoots one and kills another with the butt of his rifle.

Rick runs up to Carl and Lori "Baby! Carl! Baby!" When the Walkers are dead, Carl runs to Rick and gives him a hug. Jim survives the fight and comes back to rejoin everyone.

Brie looks about and see's all the dead walkers lying at her feet. She looks up and see's T Dogg "Oh my god" she runs up to him and tightens her grip around him. "Your back"

"I'm back baby g" T Dogg hugs his sister for a while longer before pulling away from their embrace. They both look down at Andrea who is sobbing on the ground for her sister. Brie gasps as she puts her hand over her mouth in shock that Amy is dying.

Andrea continues to stay by Amy's side "Amy. I don't know what to do" Amy touches Andrea's cheek to let her know she loves her and then she dies. Andrea begins to sob. Carl also begins to cry when he sees that Amy is dead. "Amy! Amy! Amy!"

As everyone else gets rounded back up, Jim turns away to see Amy "I remember my dream now, why I dug the holes" They look at the camp with several dead Walkers on the ground.
