AN: MKH is doing really well for those of you concerned about him. He's expected to make a full recovery after giving me a few more grey hairs. Plans to renovate my sewing room into an office and my living room and dining room into a full art/sewing area are progressing. We have our last project nearly paid off so we can get started on that again soon. The rest of my management team now sees what I see in our DM. He's a little... clueless. My boss however has discovered she has a pretty happy midshift manager when she lets me do art projects at work. Even silly ones. LOL

Cameron and Teal'c lament in serving with a less... volatile couple then they are currently experiencing.

"Did you think I forgot?" – Episode 19

Cameron shook his head in exasperation. Sam was right. Those two needed to get their act together.

The two in question were Daniel and Vala who were currently arguing about diplomatic negotiations with the inhabitants of the planet they were currently on.

Cam missed Sam. She'd always been the one to smooth things over with Daniel and Vala and with clever amusement defuse whatever argument was brewing or by simple dint of being espoused to the man's best friend, held sway over him as the only family he had and sway over Vala by being her only female friend at all. For the most part Daniel was the problem not Vala who was simply trying to navigate having feelings for a guy who frankly was a lot dumber then his aptitude test scores lead one to believe.

"I grow tired of their bickering." Teal'c said with a resigned sigh.

"Yah. Me too buddy."

"We had no such conflict with Samantha and O'Neill." Teal'c intoned in a serious mien while observing the childish bickering between Daniel and Vala.

"Sam and General O'Neill didn't fight?" Cam asked somewhat surprised.

"Not publically. No."

"Ah." Now he understood. Present a united front for the team and the good of the mission etcetera.

"They argued with their eyes."

Cam was confused. "They uh… they what?"

"Samantha and O'Neill conversed their discourse with facial expressions." Teal'c explained.

"That sounds complicated."

"Indeed. But it was quieter." He said after a particularly outraged shriek from Vala followed by a bellow from Daniel.

"Yup." Cameron agreed in spite of not having been on the team at the time. He knew Sam and Jack well enough to know they didn't argue in public which was not the same as not arguing at all. He figured every couple argued but Sam and Jack seemed to do so the least.

He sighed again. The Bickersons had switched to name calling which was equal parts amusing and exasperating when you had things to do that required them cooperating with each other.

"I tired of this." Teal'c said with something that looked like defeat to Cameron.

"Yah." He wasn't even sure why they were arguing this time anyway. Usually if Vala started it she had good reason.

"Why can't you just for once just do what I ask you to do?" Daniel hissed at Vala. They had switched to quietly arguing after getting looks for their bickering.

"Oh like it's my fault I'd like you to remember just one teeny tiny little thing and you can't be bothered."

Daniel looked at Vala flabbergasted. How could she think he'd forgotten? "We're on a mission. I don't have time for this."

"We won't be back until it's long over but I suppose that doesn't mean very much to the all knowing Daniel Jackson." Vala said in exasperation with her arms crossed over her chest.

Daniel threw his hands up in the air. "What is with you? Did you think I forgot what day it is?"

"Well its bloody obvious you forgot as you've not said a word about it to anyone and I assure you I checked."

Daniel raked his hand through his hair. "Gah! It was supposed to be a surprise!"

"Er… what?"

"Your gift. It was supposed to be a surprise." Daniel grumbled with a sigh.

"You bought me a gift?"

"Isn't that what you usually do for anniversaries?" Daniel asked, his tone still quarrelsome and exasperated.

"Um, well, I suppose it's the thing you do." Vala admitted contritely.

"Is that why you've been picking a fight with me for the last seven hours?"

"Of course not darling. I picked the first fight because you were being insufferable."

"And the rest of it?"

"Oh well, yes, that was because I thought you forgot." She admitted.

Daniel sighed. "Let's just get through this so we can go home and celebrate."

Vala beamed at him. All her anger at him having bleed away with his admission that he'd gotten her an anniversary gift. "Yes lets." She agreed with alacrity.

Across the room Cameron and Teal'c shared a look and Cameron just shook his head.
