809 Sacrifices

Rya'c arrived with the exodus of the Hak'tyl. According to Bra'tac the boy, no, the young man was in love and about to be married. Teal'c was in a snit.

The Hak'tyl evacuated to the SGC - children, warriors and horses. And soon most everyone was fighting. O'Neill was desperate to find them a new homeworld as soon as possible. The horses were leaving trails of aromatics in the base, some of which were now ground into the Stargate ramp. He could stick his fingers in his ears to block out what he didn't want to hear but these smells overcame all his defenses.

Teal'c and Ishta managed to break away and bring down Moloc, the bane of the Hak'tyl and resolve most of their differences. Rya'c and Kar'yn came to terms with their difference and with all formerly warring parties in agreement the wedding was on.

Jack was pleased with the gathering in the gate room - a happy supportive crowd, a lovely couple, a simple yet meaningful ceremony and all the road apples scrubbed out of the gate ramp.

As Sam stood beside General O'Neill during the wedding ceremony she couldn't help but think of her impending wedding. She was very happy for the young couple. They looked so in love and their future spread out before them. Was it easier then - less to fret over and just go with your emotions. She, who usually overthought everything, had gone with her emotions not a month ago and wound up engaged.

Sam was happy at the ceremony and at the reception afterward in the commissary. Then the new CIA agent showed up, causing Sam to wonder at the woman's interest. Previously the agents were content with submitted reports, now this woman was a regular visitor. Was there something to be concerned about? Ms. Johnson congratulated the couple and made her way over to monopolize General O'Neill, so handsome in his class A uniform. Sam thought it was probably time for her to leave.

On the drive home Sam wondered if Pete would be there badgering her to set a date for their coming nuptials. She didn't want to think about it.
