Teresa was furious. Jane had screwed up again and she told him she wanted him to go away. But she didn't mean forever! Now Jane is in trouble and she has to find him and save him.

Episode tag to Devil's Cherry (season 5). At the end of a case, Patrick Jane pours himself another cup of tea. Lisbon intends to find out if he is tempted to see his dead daughter again. An interesting conversation ensues.

Enemies can hide for a long time, as patience is often their forte. This story takes place after Patrick and Teresa become man and wife. Teresa is working until her maternity leave begins, and Patrick is busy finishing up the cabin. This is a peaceful time in their lives, much to their mutual enjoyment. Little do they know that evil is just around the corner...

Shortly after Patrick Jane's family is murdered by the infamous Red John, he spirals into a mental breakdown that almost costs him his life. He is retrieved and taken to the Heritage Oaks Hospital and admitted into their mental health wing where he's caged within white walls and seemingly stuck in his insanity. Will he endure the journey to recovery or wallow within white walls?

After Jane pushes Lisbon too far, she decides to change her life dramatically. "I'll go then, as there is clearly nothing left here anyway. This place has become a prison for you Jane, sure the walls are in your mind but they are just as confining and I no longer want to be your cellmate." Initial angst but then romance, I gave it a T for mild language.

There is so much romance (and angst) around these days (understandably) even in my own stories. I'm hoping that there are some readers, like me, who are in need of satisfying their dark side. So here is the beginning of a dark piece. Last chapter posted.

AU from mid season one. Damon's road trip with Elena to visit Bree takes a turn he'd never imagined...
