I was in darkness only for a moment before I was able to open my eyes whereby I found myself back at the compound, lying on the table in the courtyard where everything seemed to be tinted with a blue hue. Confused, I slowly sat up and my hand naturally rose to touch my stomach, where thankfully I could still feel the baby's strong life force within me. Now begs the question, where the heck am I. Standing, I began to turn around in order to survey my surroundings, only to find myself face to face with someone I vaguely recognised and who instinctively filled me with dread. "Oh god, please tell me you're not who I think you are."

"Well, I suppose you could say…I'm family." In my head, I swore very colourfully. "I assume my reputation precedes me."

"More of a status of being one of the biggest assholes ever to walk the earth rather than a reputation." I corrected him with a flare of defiance as I felt myself naturally drop into a more defensive stance, hoping that I could still use magic whilst here. Where was here, exactly? "How are you here? This can't be the world of the living since your dead, which means…" This time, I swore out load. "Holy shit, this is the Other Side. No. no way, this is impossible! I can't be here!"

"On the contrary, my dear, this is very real." All at once Mikael sped his way at me with so much speed that my eyes missed the moments between him standing still and him suddenly being in front of me crushing my windpipe. "Welcome to my hell, stuck in an eternity of watching over that hideous creature my children call brother!"

"No…no!" With a surge of power, my magic responded as I forced Mikael to release me then pushed him with a magic burst to send him flying across the courtyard. "I'm a druid, I cannot go to the Other Side, this can't be happening! Unless…oh god, the baby!" Whilst I'm carrying the baby, I was no different than any other supernatural being, meaning that if I died now, then the Other Side would be where my soul would go instead of to join my ancestors and merge with the earth's natural energy.

"The baby? That child never had a chance! And as if that mutt's bloodline isn't filth enough, she poisons it by merging it with Klaus'?" Mikael threw back his head as he laughed, and as I watched his eyes, I saw no trace of humanity left in them. I saw in that moment exactly how Nik was created into the person he was today, as I saw the reflection of Nik in Mikael himself. Full of spite and rage, anger and hatred which burned so passionately that he would rather see the world burn than see Nik live in happiness. I knew then that if I did not find a way to get back, then Mikael was going to kill us here. Both me and the baby, which was not going to happen. When I find out which person tried to kill me in order to get to the little one, druid vows be damned, I'll kill them myself. "The deathless vermin, fancying himself a daddy?"

"A better daddy then you ever were. No wonder all your children despise you." His face dropped into a hideous, twisted snarl however this time, I was ready for him. Although my magic was based in nature, there was still enough residual energy within the Other Side born from the spirits of the dead around me. It was a form of life, as it was preserved memory in a living embodiment that had not found peace, and it was enough for me to fight. As Mikael lunged for me, I thrust out both hands and set him on fire, letting him burn before me as I felt a surge of fury rise in me, as if the baby herself was also helping me to fight.

"You will not lay a single hand on this child. She was entrusted to me to protect and nurture, and there is no way in hell I will ever allow your sick, bastard hands to touch her. I'd sooner send you to hell myself." Throwing him against the wall, I pinned Mikael there as he burned, feeling the ripple of the Other Side continuing to collapse around me though it was yet to destabilise completely. "Niklaus is already twice the man and father you were and then some."

"That bastard is nothing compared to me! He is nothing but a cur, a weakling! He is NOTHING!"

"Somehow, I get the feeling that your hatred for him is because you knew that he was always a better man than you were. He was born from a better man, was stronger than you, kinder, the best kind of human there was before you then twisted him up and made him into what he is now. Everything he is, is because of you. So I hope there is a hell for you to rot in, because that's no less than what you deserve for what you did to your kids. You're disgusting, and as the last druid priestess to exist on this earth, I curse you!" The curse of a druid was powerful, and at the formation of my words, a magic echo burst out past my lips and latched itself onto Mikael like a parasite as he continued to burn.

I then began to heal myself, purging the magic that was trying to kill me and focusing on bringing myself back to life, so that as I felt the Other Side pull itself away from my soul, I gave Mikael one last look as he burned, looked down on him as he writhed on his knees as my flames engulfed him, and smirked. In the last moment where our eyes met, I stuck my middle finger up at him as a final 'F-you' moment, before my soul then returned to my body and all at once I awoke, feeling completely refreshed and totally fine with Niklaus looming over me looking like the world had crippled around him. "I'm not dead you know, no need to look like I'm already in my grave." My humour was lost as Nik said nothing but grabbed me tightly and held me close as Elijah rubbed my shoulders, the both of them sandwiching me between them which soon became difficult to breathe.

I had to force them off me so that I could take a few deeper gulps of air, taking it slow as I reached out and gripped their arms as they held onto me as a means to make sure that I was truly anchored back in the real world before finally, I looked at the both of them. "I saw Mikael on the Other Side. He tried to kill us."

"He what?" Never had I seen Nik so afraid, his hands gripping me so tightly they threatened to leave bruises so I had to warn him not to be too rough, reminding him that I was still delicate so he loosened his grip but did not let go. "What did he do? Did he hurt either of you? Did he say anything?"

"You know, your dad is a real dick." I said as I rubbed my neck, feeling like I had been lying down for hours. "He said some mean things, so I set him on fire and threw him about the place. He was pissed, let me tell you that, but he was easy enough to deal with. I am a druid priestess after all. It's kind of a big deal." My nonchalance only served to make Nik angrier, bellowing that I was not taking this seriously and his yelling did nothing to help me hide the fact that I was near enough on the verge of tears so I grabbed hold of his hand, and once he felt just how much I was trembling, he quickly shut up and swept me up so that he could carry me away, apologising and hushing me gently as a means to console me.

He did not leave me alone after that and Hayley also arrived, Elijah having given her the news of what happened where she too anchored herself to my side and decided that she was going to move back into the compound in order to help protect me and the baby. "I'm sorry, Hayles, I made a mistake. I thought that being a druid, I'd remain immune to witch magic and therefore, so would the baby. But we share blood now, and although we share a resistance to it, we're no longer impervious. I'm sorry, I should have realised sooner, then this wouldn't have happened."

"Hey, it's okay. You fought through it and you protected our daughter against Mikael. You've already done so much for her neither of us can ever begin to thank you." Hayley soothed me, sponging lightly at my forehead where I had come down with a slight fever due to exhaustion. "You said the spill was meant to kill you and send your soul to the Other Side, right? Do you know who did it?"

"No, I can't trace the magic now that it's not active, but only a powerful witch could have done it. Genevieve can be discounted since she was there helping me, which means only a Harvest girl would have that kind of power. Davina would never do anything to hurt me or the little one, which leaves the other two. Monique and…Abigail? Was her name Abigail? Anyway, my money's on Monique. I've pissed her off more than once, though not enough to prompt her to try and kill us. Though even if I'd died, I have a magic spell active that would keep the baby alive until she was full term and then could be delivered, so it wouldn't have mattered if they'd killed me anyway." Reaching out to grip onto Hayley's hand, I told her to be wary of the witches. "I got a bad feeling, Hayles, a really bad feeling."

"Don't worry. If anyone tries messing with you again, I'll rip their throat out."

"Lovely." I knew damn well that she would, and it was odd how comforting that kind of promise was to me these days. I'd only ever become this dark and gruesome since hanging out with the Mikaelsons, so I blame them. Now that I had added additional spells that would try and attack me, I felt a lot more reassured that this wouldn't be able to happen again. In the meantime, Hayley told me about the nursery that Nik had showed her, telling her that he wanted Hayley to be a part of their family and raise their child together, which I said was bound to be a recipe for disaster considering everyone would be living under the same roof, making her smile and say that she had said exactly the same thing, but I could see that she liked the idea of having a real family, and her daughter to hold in her arms.

I slept deeply that night and long into the next day in order to recover from the magic that had almost killed me. Hayley brought food to my room and I ate in bed, then I decided to make a start on my new sculpture project and simply shut out the rest of the world, not caring about whatever was going on out there. I enjoyed playing around with the clay, moulding and sculpting it into different shapes and developing techniques to improve my abilities. I spent a couple of days in my room with no intention of leaving until the baby was on its way, whereby I was going to demand a hospital rather than delivering in the bayou, seeing as that was now not a viable option for safe delivery. I also decided that with everything that had happened recently, I myself was not safe. I had almost died the other day, and so I took one of my rings and infused it with magic like I had done before with a ring for Elena Gilbert. I made sure to use one with a stone that could house enough power to revive me back from the dead no matter the fatality, hoping that I would have no need to use it, but at least it would bring me back to life through nature magic should something happen to me.

The spell was different from the one I had used before, and I had developed it by using nature and earth magic. My soul after death would naturally try to move back into the earth itself to become one with it, however wearing this ring would draw my soul into the stone instead whilst the other magic I had infused it with would heal my body. Once I was healed, my soul would come back, and I would be revived again. This type of magic was only achievable through the blessing of my ancestors, and was a one time only deal, but a dark feeling told me that in all likeliness, I would need this resurrection ring soon, so I made it then had it blessed by my ancestors, then fixed it onto my little finger in order to ensure that I at least had a contingency plan before returning to my sculpture, remaining shut away in my room. I would have stayed put too, until I got a call from Davina who was sobbing from the moment I picked up. "Whoa hey, hey, slow down Davina, try and take a deep breath." Instructing her to try and calm down a little so that she could at least talk, I then told her to tell me what had happened.

As expected, Nik had been a total ass. Again. He'd bitten Josh, so with a fiery pulse of anger, I seized my things and went striding out of the compound in order to go to Davina and Josh in order to help. Although close to term, there was no way I was sitting out on this one, so I snuck out without anyone knowing in order to get to Davina. I knew there was no use in calling Nik to demand he came back and healed Josh himself, so I decided that I was going to find out what the hell was going on, and figure out a way to either get some leverage on Nik to make him fix this mess, or simply beat him into submission in public just to utterly humiliate him. I'm pregnant and pissed. I had no in between emotion. Davina was still crying when I got there, but she was a lot more calm knowing that I was there and as I pulled myself around to see Josh, I gave him a smile and told him he was going to be fine before starting to direct Davina to gather some herbs and make a tonic for fevers and to slow Josh's heart rate so that the venom wouldn't be pushed around his body too fast.

Coming to understand that Nik had done this to Josh in order to force Davina to give up Marcel's location, I growled under my breath. "That moron will be the death of me I swear. How you holding up Josh?"

"Hm…I feel…really good…like you gave me something…man I feel high." Completely delirious but at least not in pain, I chuckled and wiped away his sweat to keep him comfortable as Davina continued to grind herbs to make more tonic for him.

"I'm going to go find Nik and make him give up his blood for Josh, okay? He's going to be fine, I promise you."

"Is there really no way for you to cure him yourself? There has to be a way." Davina begged but off the top of my head, I couldn't think of anything.

"The only way I'd find out is through experimenting, and I'd rather not do that on a guy like Josh considering he's so sweet. Tell you what, once this is over, you and I can do some investigating into werewolf venom and see if we can come up with something. At the very least, I'll be interesting. More interesting than the crap Genevieve has been trying to teach you. I can't blame you for being bored, kiddo." Nodding her head in understanding, Davina hugged me carefully from the side as not to bump against my bump.

"Thank you for coming, I'm sorry to drag you all the way out here."

"Hey it's okay. I'd do anything for you two, you know that right?" Now able to smile a bit, I told Davina to keep Josh's fever down the way I'd taught her, and that hopefully I would be back soon with the cure. This time I took a cab back to the compound, though when I got there, I found the air to be thick with tension and my way was blocked by a couple of mean looking thugs who stopped me from going in, telling me that I had no business here. "Okay morons, I live here, so if you don't step aside, I'm going to turn you both into compost." They chose not to listen, so I magically knocked their heads against the wall to stun them and breezed inside, yelling out for anyone to answer me, wondering what the hell was going on.

"Ophelia! I thought I told you not to leave the compound!"

"Well Nik, seeing as you bit a vampire friend of mine today and made one of my favourite witches very upset, I had no choice but to head out and do some damage control!" I yelled back at Nik who came rushing into view with his vampire speed as I folded my arms angrily. "If you don't cure Josh like you promised, then I swear I will make sure you sleep with the fishes." Nik chose not to argue, merely grabbed hold of my arm and began to march me forwards.

"I do not have time for vampires with hybrid bites. Marcel and his army are on their way and you are going to go somewhere safe immediately." Thrown off by the mention of Marcel and an army, I found myself being forced towards the compound and towards where Hayley was standing near to Genevieve who was chanting a spell to make the moonlight rings along with Francesca Correa and several of rather gangster looking security guards.

"You should help Klaus." Francesca was saying as I was pushed inside by Nik before he disappeared again, Elijah seemingly trying to make Hayley leave but of course, she refused to go. "My brothers and their security detail won't be much against a vampire army. I'll stay with Hayley and the girl here."

"Excuse me, but I have a name you know." I snapped back at her, now in a sullen mood that Josh's cure was going to be delayed.

"Go, Elijah. And don't hold back." Hayley encouraged, the two of them sharing a rather deep and passionate look with one another before Elijah disappeared. In the blinding fast movement he made, I felt a hand briefly touch my shoulder before it was gone all at once, so I shrugged and pulled my cardigan closer around me.

"So, what's up?" Hayley smiled at my nonchalance but other than that, no one answered. Genevieve continued her chanting so I moved in to get a closer look, memorising the spell over her shoulder as well as the materials which included black hyanite, though I couldn't understand why there was someone's blood involved. It made me frown, but I thought nothing of it. Perhaps it was an addition that Nik had decided to add, to make the new wolves stronger like him or something. I'd ask him about it later and find out for myself. Reaching out to touch a few of the spare items, I nicked my finger on a blade and drew blood, making me groan in irritation as the blood quickly began to pool and overflow.

"Here, let me help." Hayley was quick to press her thumb over the cut, staunching the blood and started to try and find something to bind it with but I assured her that I had it handled. With a little magic, I healed the cut on my finger, sealing the injury and just like that, the blood flow stopped. "Pretty cool." Fresh streams of my blood streaked across Hayley's hand and after looking around for something to wash it off with, shrugged and simply licked it off as I just held my hand aside to let it dry on its own. I refocused my attention on Genevieve, barely noticing when a security guard entered the room in order to try and move Francesca to safety but she refused to leave, raising her hand to order him to stand down.

"Not yet."

"Ms Correa, we need to go. Your brothers are already headed out the back." But still Francesca chose to stay and I glanced in her direction to see her staring rather intently at the stones. Weird. Hayley's phone started to buzz, signifying that someone was trying to reach her and after taking a look, saw Cami's name on the screen.

"It's Cami." Noticing that Hayley had chosen to ignore the call, I glanced up at her.

"What if it's important?"

"No offence to Cami, but I'm more worried about the stones right now. My pack need them, otherwise they'll be turning tonight on the full moon. I promised them that they wouldn't have to go through that again." Inclining my head in agreement, we each then returned to watching Genevieve until eventually she stopped chanting and selected one of the stones, inspecting it closely.

"The stones are finished. I've done my part. Now, it's up to you."

"I'll get them to the bayou." Moving forwards to take the stones, Genevieve made no motion to hand them over and instead, looked to Francesca who had also approached the witch for the moonlight stones.

"Actually, she was talking to me." What the heck does she mean by that? Already standing upright, I frowned at Francesca as Hayley also demanded to know what the hell this was all about as Genevieve, that bitch, handed the stones over to Francesca. "Call it a side deal. The point is, I'm taking the stones."

"Are you out of your mind? You think the humans can go up against Klaus?"

"If you do this you are as good as signing your own death certificates. Forget about the wolves, Niklaus will flay you alive and hang up your carcass for the whole world to see." I tried to reason with Francesca, and even looked at Genevieve who had the decency to look uneasy. "And not to mention you, he'd make sure you'd suffer ten times more than she would when Nik gets hold of you. You should rethink this before it's too late."

"No, I don't have to rethink this, and I don't think that humans can go up against Niklaus Mikaelson, but I'm not human." All at once Francesca pulled out a small sharp knife and without any degree of hesitation, sliced the blade across her bodyguard's throat. I cried out in horror, shocked to see such brutality but quickly recovered myself and tried to rush forwards in order to save him, but with my focus directed elsewhere, I did not notice Genevieve starting a spell until it was too late. She knocked me out cold and I hit the ground with a solid thud, the last thing I remember other than the growing pool of scarlet blood gradually creeping its way towards me was the feeling of wetness between my thighs before everything went involuntarily cold for the second time in only a number of days.
