I arrived at the Claire tomb just as Rebekah was leaving, however I did not realise that it was Rebekah at first. "Lia! Great I was wondering where you were, Kol is in a bad way and if you've got a miracle cure hidden somewhere up your sleeve then now would be the time to use it." I blinked.

"Bekah?"

"Who else is it going to be?" Unable to help it, I smiled despite the fact that my eyes were red from crying, I felt like complete crap and I had to break the news to everyone that I had no way to cure a hex. Today went from great to the absolute worse. "Hey, what's wrong? Something's upset you."

"It can wait until later. I need to examine Kol and see what I can do for him. Just tell me, why is Davina with him? What's happened there?" Bekah briefly explained that Davina and Kol had seemed to have gotten 'close' which I translated as rather intimately close. She didn't stay long, long enough to give me a hug and promise that she and I would discuss whatever or whoever it was that had made me cry so that she could go and destroy them later. I did my best to perk up a bit, letting her go and descending into the secret tomb where I found Kol in the body of some random witch teen as well as Davina who were hand in hand getting ready to dance together.

"Cute as this is, I'm going to need you both to put a hold on the romantic dance for a moment." I announced my arrival whereby Davina cried out my name and flew to me, barely giving me a moment to prepare for her flying tackle which was probably meant to be a hug.

"Can you help him? You can save him right? You can do magic unlike anything a witch can do, so you have to be able to save him." Davina fired off however I made her calm down and be quiet for a few moments as I took in Kol.

"Hm. You look better in this body Kol." I told him as I did my best to smile. "It's been a while."

"Indeed it has. Can't believe you're still hanging around my family after all this time. Have they blackmailed you with something?"

"No, I just like your sister and older brother Elijah. I understand the scepticism though. Now lay down for a moment so I can see what we're dealing with here." Doing as he was told probably for the first time in…ever, Kol lay down so that I could study him carefully. He was feverish and already looking terrible, and although I knew he wasn't exactly a pure saint himself, I couldn't help but feel sorry for him. He was just a kid. Granted a thousand year old kid, but a kid all the same, and he looked terrified. "I'm sorry." I said softly as I sat beside him, taking his hand in mine in order to offer him as much comfort as I could. "I've seen a hex like this before, but yours is far more advanced and aggressive. There's nothing I can do to stop it…but I can put a stop to the symptoms and when the time comes, you'll go quietly. Peacefully. This body is done."

"No! No that can't be true Lia, there has to be something…" Davina argued but my look said it all, making her stop and begin to cry where Kol immediately sought to console her.

"Hey, it's alright. You heard what the druid doctor said, it'll be peaceful." He told her as I placed my hand on his chest and murmured softly under my breath, soft undulations of magic and tone which prevailed upon Kol's borrowed body, lessening the symptoms and refreshing him so that he was no longer shaking and feverish, blocking the effects of the hex whilst unable to stop the countdown that was on his body.

"It's not over yet, Davina. Kol has been dead before, so I'm sure we can bring him back again. Do you still have your Original body?" I questioned him but Kol answered that it had turned to ash after he had been stabbed by the white oak stake. "That's fine, reconstructing a body out of ash should be no problem for me, it's your soul that's going to be the difficult part. We'll have to bury you here so that you join the ancestors, that way we'll be able to find you more easily, but they won't make death a vacation for you. You'll have to do everything you can to keep them from corrupting your spirit whilst you're over there." I warned him, going over to a workbench in order to gather together some materials. "I'll make sure to bury you with some talismans which will help you fight them off whilst Davina and I work on bringing you back, so you make sure not to piss them off too much over there and encourage them to make hell for you."

"Why are you doing this?" Kol asked me with a frown, clearly not expecting me to be willing to go through so much just for him so I stopped and looked over at the pair. They were holding onto each other so desperately, Davina clasping his hands whilst he had his arm around her, and as I looked at them, I found myself relaxing.

"Because, I can already see that you care a lot for Davina, and she seems to see something in you that makes her want to fight to keep you. Who am I to argue with young love like that?" I reasoned, returning to my task of gathering materials. "Let's just say that even though I know exactly who and what you are Kol Mikaelson, I'm willing to give you a second shot for Davina, because she's asked me for my help, so you better count yourself lucky." Snapping my fingers, the gramophone started to play a pretty tune which I then turned up with my magic, giving them a final smile. "Weren't you about to ask the young lady to dance?" Now beaming, Kol leaped to his feet and brought Davina outside in order to dance under the stars as the countdown continued.

I focused on making the talismans that he would need to take to the afterlife, layering the ingredients together and combining them with all kinds of runes and magic to cover as many areas as I could think of. Although I said I'd do this for Davina, I was also doing this just to keep my mind occupied from straying elsewhere and, upon hearing the voices of the rest of the Mikaelson siblings arrive in order to be with their brother, I hid myself away as Kol came to the end of his life in the body he occupied.

I felt him pass and could almost sense the grief from the others, but I remained where I was and did not leave until I was certain that the others were gone, leaving Davina all alone. They had laid Kol's body to rest for the night, having wrapped him up in a white cloth but Davina was still beside him, crying endlessly. "Here Davina, I'm here." Extending my hand to her, I pulled her against me so that she could cry freely and have a friend beside her as I comfortingly stroked her hair. "I'm going to help you. I promise you that I won't give up until he's back here with you, okay? If that is truly what you want, then I'm all for it."

"It's what I want. Even if I never ask for anything else again in the world, it would still be what I want." Needing no further confirmation, I gently suggested that we prepared Kol for burial. Together we placed the talismans on his body then proceeded with the cleansing, preparing him for being entombed with the rest of the witches of the Quarter so that he could be laid to momentary rest. Then I spent the entire night holding Davina and consoling her, staying beside her until daybreak where I made her an herbal tea which sent her to sleep because otherwise she would have gone the entire day without resting, and she needed to keep up her strength.

The only people that I remained in contact with were Rebekah, Elijah and Hayley, the latter of whom assured me that Hope would be fine on formula for a while if I needed to take a long break. She understood wanting to run away from the Mikaelsons for a while. After making sure that everyone was alright, I enlisted Josh's help to get Davina back home so that she could sleep and rest for a while in peace. "It sucks Kol died, she's gonna be so heartbroken when she wakes up." Josh said as he laid Davina down on her bed as I covered her in a blanket and took off her shoes.

"That's why I made sure that the sleeping tea I gave her was extra strong. She'll sleep probably until tomorrow and wake up refreshed. The herbs will help soothe her heart, but she'll still need a friend." I said to him as I moved Davina's hair out of her face. "I'm going to be gone for a couple of days, there's some things I need to do and items I want to look for to see if they'll help bring Kol back. I would appreciate it if you would check in on her whilst I'm not here." Promising that he would, Josh smiled to me and said he was glad I wasn't dead after all, since Davina had been really upset after hearing about my supposed death. "Well, technically I did die, but I came back to life after. I'm no friend to those witches and their ancestors, believe me. So I'll probably go cause some hell for them before I leave since I haven't actually paid them back for cutting my throat."

"Ew." Josh shuddered, making me chuckle before finally leaving Davina in peace and Josh to watch over her. I left and did exactly as I intended, heading over to the French Quarter where I immediately began to make hell for the witches. The curse that I had spoken during Hope's birth was now enacted, meaning that it settled on the entire coven of witches, disrupting their magic, causing their herbs to wither and die, windows to shake and a darkness hang over the entire Quarter even whilst the sun was out in full. A cascading wind blew harshly through their market, and I strode on through like I owned the place and any witch that tried to attack me got blown to the side as I announced exactly who I was and why I was doing this.

"Hear me witches of New Orleans! You pissed off the wrong person after your people tried to murder Hope Mikaelson and slit my throat mere moments after delivering her! This curse is now yours to bear, yours and your ancestors, and I hope you all rot in hell for all eternity for what you did!" I bellowed, letting all my anger out at once without restraint as I flung out a hand in order to set fire to someone's stall. "Now I'm telling you this for your own good. If anyone ever dares make a move to hurt that child, then this curse will increase tenfold, and I will return to level the entire Quarter to the ground. I will show no mercy, no restraint, I will destroy everything that you cherish and leave you wallowing in guilt and chaos! Hope Mikaelson is off limits. Nobody, and I mean nobody, harms her." With my warning delivered to the cowering witches, I swept myself around whereby my entire body flashed with light before I transformed into an owl, a new type of magic that I had been working on.

I flew away from New Orleans and sought refuge and peace elsewhere, wanting just a single day to myself where I didn't have to worry about anyone or anything. I switched my phone off and found a place in the next state where I could just have some time to relax and be free. It was long overdue and I allowed myself to indulge in whatever I wanted, purchasing a sketchbook and pencils in order to begin sketching the drawings of Hayley's wedding, throwing myself into something that would grant me the first bit of peace and quiet I had felt in a long time.
