AN: Good morning everyone. I hope you've been enjoying the chapters I;ve been posting recently. I've been on a Phantom of the Opera kick so that helps and the words have been flowing very well. Anyways today is Friday 10/14/21 and this is the first chapter today. Anything you recognize is JK Rowling's and anything you don't is mine.

Hermione POV

I quickly braided my hair back as I ran down the hall, which was easier said than done. I was running late for my singing lessons with Colin and F-Filius. A shiver ran over my body, gosh it was so weird to call my professors by their first names. It didn't help that Severus' was acting like he was in love with me for the show. Same with Colin. It made it difficult to separate reality from fiction, which was never a good thing. We had been at this for two and half weeks already and it was very chaotic.

"You're late!" Filius squeaked as I came barreling through the doorway.

"I know, I'm sorry." I said, panting slightly. Colin gave me a little smile and opened his mouth to say something but Filius cut him off.

"We need to get started immediately. There is a lot to cover and honestly not very much time. We only have forty minutes until curfew so we need to get moving. Please pull out your scripts and flip to the back of it where the music is. We will be going over most of scene ten, where the two of you are on the roof of the Opera House and the Phantom is listening in behind a large statue. Now all I want you to concentrate on is your singing, not the stage blocking that you have worked on -"

"Actually we will be doing it -"

"Doesn't matter!" Fillius squeaked, waving his hand. "We only have three times to go over this song until it is perfect and I need you two to concentrate on the music!"

Colin and I exchanged a glance, he was trying not to laugh. I could feel my lips twitching and I quickly looked away. The last thing we needed was for me to burst out laughing, I had a feeling Filius wouldn't like that.

"Now, Colin, I would like you to start with 'Why have you brought us here?' It's the very beginning of the scene. The stage direction is for the two of you to be running onto the stage. Severus will already be hidden before the two of you even appear. What I need the two of you to understand is that this show is a love story. I know you are both very young but I need you to put your all into this. To show how deeply these characters love each other. If you can't do that, well, it will ruin the show honestly. So, I need you to dig to your deepest depths and put your all into this."

Colin was nodding with what Filius was saying but my face was flushed. This was extremely embarrassing and it didn't help that people would be watching me snog not only my classmate, who I had to admit was very cute, but also my professor. This was not good. Not good at all.

"Now, at the beginning if you would please?" Filius said, turning to Colin.

Colin started to sing and the room piped the music through the walls. It was just like having a full orchestra at our command. We practiced and sang back and forth to each other. Colin was incredible, the fear and love he was supposed to be portraying came through perfectly. I on the other hand was good, but not great and I knew it.

"Okay, Hermione, as your homework for this I need you to tap into that love I was telling you about earlier. We need you to show that love or this show won't work." I wrapped my arms around myself and blew a hair out of my eye. That was easier said than done considering I had never been in love before and had only kissed one boy in my life.

Severus POV

I flipped through the script, grimacing. We would be going over the scene where the Phantom takes Christine into his underground lair. It would be hard to act the majority of this out since it was all singing. All of it. We hadn't had all of our singing lessons yet for the Phantom of the Opera song so I wasn't completely sure what we would be working on.

"Am I late?" My co-star asked as she ran into the room breathless. I refused to call her by her name. It was completely mental. All of this.

"No." I said simply, not bothering to check my watch.

"Do you know where -"

"Oh good, you're both here." Dora said, rushing into the room, her hair fluttering slightly. "Ron won't be able to make it today, He's fine, just a little accident with his first year flying students."

"That's too bad." Granger said, shaking her head.

"Yes it is, anyways, we need to go over the Music of the Night staging." Dora said, dropping slowly into her seat at the front of the room. "So the boat will be taking the both of you on stage for the start of this scene, hard to imagine it but that's how it will happen. The back of the boat will be facing the audience to show that it's also a bed. So I will have the both of you start in the middle of our makeshift stage."

Granger and I both moved onto the "stage" and stopped in the middle of it.

"So, Severus, you will walk over to where we have the organ and play the music. It doesn't matter what you play but you need to make it look like you are putting everything into it, does that make sense?" I nodded once and moved over to a taped spot marked organ. I smirked.

"Severus, you will be seducing Christine through this next song." The smirk vanished instantly and my stomach churned. Bloody hell. I flicked a glance at Granger who looked as uncomfortable as I felt. "Okay, you two. Stop with those looks. It's not the two of you who are in love. It's your characters!"

"We know." Granger said, looking uncomfortable.

"Anyways, Severus, as you sing you will get closer to Hermione. Not only are you seducing her but you're almost hypnotizing her." I nodded and looked at the floor.

"So Hermione, you will be facing the audience and Severus will be standing next to you." Granger moved so that she was center stage and I positioned myself closely behind her. Much closer than I would usually stand.

"Perfect. I kind of want the two of you to play around with this and see what works best for the both of you. Severus, you need to gently touch her occasionally but Hermione, what you need to keep in mind is that he is supposed to be icy cold. Almost like death. At one point we need you, Hermione, to touch Severus on the masked part of his face and caress him. Severus, you will need to be pressed up against her back so she can reach it."

I pressed myself against Granger. She stiffened and then relaxed against me. I felt my eyes widen and I dropped a look down at her. Her eyes were shut and she was breathing deeply. A shudder rippled through my body and I intertwined our right hands together.

"Now Hermione, I want you to place your hand against his face." She did as Dora asked, slowly lifting her hand and trailed her fingers against my skin. A soft breathy sound escaped my lips and a light flush spread across her cheeks. Her skin was extremely soft, much softer and cooler than I would have expected. A soft smell tickled my nose and I breathed deeply, a floral scent came from her hair. Maybe lilacs? I turned slightly and pressed a kiss to her hand and she made a soft sound. She liked it. A warm feeling spread through my whole body and suddenly the front of my pants were much tighter.

"Perfect. Just like that, exactly like that!" Hermione jumped and I immediately dropped her hand. Dora had a bright gleam in her eyes. "That was bloody brilliant you two! For the first time I could feel the attraction radiating from you!"
