If you don't like 30 years before then that's fine, you don't need to tell everybody about it with vulgar language, there are underage people who read the comments and they don't need read stuff like that.
Secondly I'm not changing the story because some random doesn't like the story. Don't like it then go and read something else. Nobody is forcing you read this.
I'm writing this because I like it! Not for any other reason, this simply is self indulgent nonsense. It's a fanfic! Not something offensive.
Dragon's POV
I was woken abruptly when I rolled on my hand, it was like I been stabbed. I shot up, hands clinched, which only made the pain so much worse! Grinding my teeth together trying not scream, my lungs were so painful I was reluctant to actually breathe. Then the light hit my eyes, briefly being dazzled.
Where was I?
How did I get here?
What happened?
All these questions assaulted my brain, each one could spell disaster. They were overwhelmingly successful at making me what to bash my head on a wall.
What happened to Luffy?
Then I remembered!
My eyes flew open again, trying to spot the kid who had been lying motionless in front of me a minute earlier.
We're on a sinking ship, we need to leave! Whitebeard was there too, he was fighting the old man. Then there was an earthquake and...
And...
Wait aren't we on the Marine ship?
The place I was sat wasn't the deck of the old man's flagship, it definitely wasn't falling apart, bits of wood weren't raining down on us. There was no earthquake, no Yonko and no old fart...
I was in a dark room, it was stuffy and warm, the only source of light was from an oil lamp next to a door. I was sat in a bed, when was the last time I had been in a bed?
Before the incident with the Admiral, when I had gotten the hand cuffs maybe?
Or was it before that?
Is this an infirmary? I did wreck my hands; it would make sense. This doesn't look like one I recognize.
Every infirmary I'd been to on a Marine vessel looked the same, right down to the layout of the beds and even the equipment. I should know I'd visit them often enough.
This definitely wasn't one.
This was much smaller, more basic. There wasn't even any medical equipment, no heart monitors or random machines I didn't know the name of.
There was only one other bed in the room, across from me it was pushed up into the corner, which I realised Luffy was laying in.
I was going to pull my blanket off when I realised that my hands were literally bound together with bandages, they had been wrapped up so much that my fingers weren't even visible. It looked like I was wearing oven mitts, only my thumbs were also pinned under the dressing as well.
My shackles were still present though some gauze had been shoved between my skin and the metal. They hadn't been so comfortable for a long time. Though they had never been comfy, but they hadn't started to rub badly until the last few months.
My eyes caught sight of my chest briefly, as I kicked off the bed clothes. My torso was covered in bandages too, no wonder it hurt so much, the gauze were so tight that I could see my ribs through them.
It doesn't matter I need to check on Luffy, make sure his okay.
I was about to swing my legs off the bed when a sharp voice froze me in place.
"What the hell are you doing brat!"
My head snapped in the direction of the woman's growl; my gaze set on a severe old lady, she was tall thin like a razor blade, sharp like on too. Her face was sour, with deep crevices for wrinkles and mouth drawn into a permanent scowl. Her grey hair pulled back out of her face, a large metal kunai looking thing was holding a sleek bun together.
The only words that came to mind, was that she seemed extremelynasty, her tone was all I needed to hear to make that clear, the women's face was what sealed the deal.
There was something about the old woman that made me think twice about dismissing her.
"Who are you?"
I asked trying to keep my tone neutral. She smiled, it wasn't a nice one. It hide a warning, daring me to make a move.
"Don't you have any manners boy."
My eyebrow quirked, she was one of those people. Thinking she was better than everyone else.
"Now listen here brat and listen well, you are on a Yonko's ship, you might want to keep your trap shut-"
She continued before I couldn't properly process that information.
"- because if you so much as blink wrong, then that little guy over there won't last the night"
My jaw clenched, tension filled my shoulders.
She turned leisurely towards Luffy smirking, a dark expression deep in her eyes, I felt a chill run down my spine.
"Do you understand what I'm saying."
I nodded, swallowing the lump forming in my throat. My arms were shaking with anger, it took everything I had, not tell the bitch where to go.
"Perfectly"
Luffy's POV
Luffy could hear something, it was low and annoying. The droning noise was bouncing around his skull, he really wanted to block it out. It was getting louder, making his head hurt, then light assaulted his eyes. Flinching away, he clamped his eyes closed again. The ringing in his ears was too much, the boy was forced down into a sea of darkness and he was trying to catch himself. Luffy lost consciousness once again.
"Hey Luffy?"
Luffy looked over his shoulder, Sanji was looking up at him. The straw-hat captain was sat on the figure head of the Sunny enjoying the sea view.
"Oh, Sanji is dinner ready?"
The cook smirked crookedly; he shook his head. Luffy was kinda of disappointed, but Sanji was back with his crew and that meant the boy could eat his food again.
"Actually, I was hoping to talk to you about the whole shitty situation with Big Mom."
"Why, it doesn't matter anymore."
Sanji sighed glancing to the side, he brought out a cigarette and lit it with practiced ease.
"Well it does matter you shitty captain! Because Big Mom is after us and we're off to fight Kaido. We have two Yonko after us!"
Luffy burst out laughing, why was that a problem? He had already picked a fight with both of them, if he wanted to be the King of the Pirates then he needed to kick their asses anyway.
"It just means we don't need to look for her after I kick Kaido's ass! Shishishi! Sanji you're so dumb"
Sanji threw his arms in the air, shouting out in frustration.
"Shut up dumbass! You have no right to say that of all people!"
"I don't know Sanji, you are pretty stupid..."
Nami joined them, she was still giving the chef the cold shoulder.
The blond man clutched his chest dramatically, falling down to his knees in despair.
"Nami- swan..."
The captain rolled over onto his side laughing, his crew were so fun!
"See Sanji's dumb!"
"SHUT UP!"
The scene started to change; darkness crept over the edges of his vision. A cold breeze whistled past the boy, where was he now? The memory faded, leaving Luffy alone in a dark bottomless void.
Where did Sanji and Nami go?
Luffy tried to call out to them, nothing came out of his mouth. He sucked in a deep breath of air shouting as loud as he could. Still the young captain's voice didn't come.
"Zehahahaha"
That laughter...
Where was that bastard? He needed to kick his ass!
Luffy tried to shout out a challenge to the owner of the laugh, still silence was all that followed.
" Zehahahaah!"
Luffy sat bolt up straight, a cold sweat on his back. He immediately regretted it; he's chest was screaming in pain. He coiled into himself, gritting his teeth as he tried to slow his panting breaths. His lungs hurt, so did his head. He felt dizzy, the world was spinning and it took a great deal of effort not to puke his guts up.
"What the hell happened?"
The room he was in was quiet, the walls were completely covered in shadows, the only light was a small oil lamp near the exit.
"Hey Luffy you're awake"
Dragon was sat on a bed on the other side of the room, he was hunched over. His face hidden under his mass of shaggy black hair. He didn't sound happy.
"Oh Dragon... What happened?"
He lifted his head a little, the bottom of his face appearing from the shadows. A small smile played on his lips.
"You called me Dragon and not 'Dra-guy'"
Luffy chuckled, Dragon was worrying about such weird stuff.
"Where are we? This isn't Gramp's ship is it?"
Dragon shook his head, he looked tired, bags were dragging down his eyes. He took a deep shuddering breath, his chest must have been hurting, Gramps had really kneed him good.
"This is the Moby Dick..."
Luffy's forehead furrowed, the Moby what? He let his head fall to the side in slight confusion.
The man groaned, pushing his hair back from his face with his elbow or trying to anyway. His hands were covered with many layers of bandages and his shackles were still rattling annoyingly.
"Whitebeard's ship!"
"Not so old guy helped us?"
Dragon paused frowning, opening and shutting his mouth, before asking with aspiration.
"Who's 'not so old guy'?"
"Whitebeard"
The long haired man gaped at him, tensing up suddenly, his face turning to a angry scowl.
"No, he didn't help us dumbass! He caught us and threatened us!"
Luffy didn't look convinced as he crossed his arms over his chest.
"Not so old guy did, are you sure?"
Dragon turned sharply, coming to face him fully. His jaw worked, before he looked away.
"Well one of his crew did... It's the same thing"
The straw hat captain grinned once again, shaking his head with amusement.
"But not so old guy didn't so it's fine. One of his crew said it, doesn't mean that he did"
"He's the captain so if his crew member threatened us it's basically him threatening us. A crew will always follow the captain's views"
"My crew say stuff dumb stuff all the time, we're always arguing"
Dragon glanced up startled, his eyes flashing with confusion.
"You have a crew?"
"Yeah I'm the captain"
"Are you serious? You're a captain!"
The long haired raven was staring at him with wide eyes, a sweat drop ran down his forehead.
"How are you a captain!? I mean sure you have a stupidly high bounty, but you're a captain of a crew?"
Luffy was a little offended by his disbelieving tone, it was like his name all over again. Didn't Dragon believe anything he said.
"I started my crew two years ago in the east blue"
"Did you live on Dawn island?"
The young captain nodded seriously, still feeling a little bit put out over Dragon's attitude.
"How big is your crew, how many members do you have?"
"I have eight crewmates, actually no, I got Jinbei to join my crew too, so I have nine members."
"Hang on hang on, you have 'Knight of the sea' Jinbei on your crew, the Fishman from the Sun pirates!"
Luffy grinned delightfully, his whole face lit up at the mention of his helmsman.
"Yeah, shishishi! He finally joined after leaving Big Mom!"
"BIG MOM!"
"Yeah she stole my cook, so I went and got him back!"
"BIG MOM IS YONKO!"
"Yeah, and?"
Dragon had sweat pouring down his face, he had a stunned look plastered on his face.
"What are you doing in the future to have so many big nam- Are you nuts!"
Luffy burst into fit of laughter, Dragon's face looked so funny and his reaction was the best.
"Why. Why the hell are you laughing! This is serious!"
"SHISHISHI! That's what Sanji said"
"Who's Sanji? He sounds like he has a brain at least"
"My cook, he said that I should be worried about fighting two Yonko. But I told him if I want to be Pirate King then I need to kick their asses anyway"
Dragon, who had his face buried in his arms suddenly shot up again. Staring at the boy like he wanted to slam his head on a wall.
"Two Yonko?"
"Kaido and Big Mom, why?"
Dragon flopped on his face, diving into his pillow and a muffled scream came out. This sent Luffy into another fit of giggles.
"What does future me have to say about your dumb ideas or have I died from a heart attack?"
The pirate paused, his dad? Oh, right this Dragon was his dad. But not his dad... Luffy still didn't understand it, thinking about it too much hurt his brain.
"Donno, never met you"
Dragon glanced up from his pillow, he was staring at the kid with emotionless eyes. He opened his mouth and uttered softly.
"What?"
