Chapter 1 - Moving abroad

Moving abroad had been the best decision they could have made.

Staying in Japan, especially their birth town Karakuta, had become too hard for them. Before the Thousand-Year Blood War, the twins Seiko and Ichigo had been thrown into a world with the abandonment of their own friends and they had a hard time dealing with war memories. The twins had been thrown a year later into the Thousand-Year Blood War - this time it had been brought by the quincies, barely coming out alive.

During three months after the following end of the second war, the twins had dealt with their father's clinic and their sisters' schooling. Their father, the former captain of the Tenth division of the Soul Society, Shiba Isshin, had died during the last war, leaving his oldest children to take care of their younger siblings.

It had been hard to close the clinic since people usually liked it enough to keep it occupied. Seiko and Ichigo had made an announcement to find someone who would be willing to take it and run it. It had been hard but they had found someone willing to do it. It was a young person, fresh out of the university. Not only had they sold off the clinic to them, but also the house above it. None of the siblings could have stayed in the house. There were too many memories in it.

Seiko looked at the flight attendant passing through the plane, helping whoever needed them. She couldn't sleep. On her right, her two sisters were sleeping deeply without the care of the world. They had been sleeping for a few hours now. Seiko wished she could sleep, but like her brother she couldn't afford to bother people with her screams of terror. No one would understand.

"Still three hours." Her brother sighed quietly beside her.

"Yeah. I'm exhausted." She told him as another flight attendant passed them. They must keep their voice at their lowest since a lot of people were asleep.

Ichigo nodded. He was exhausted too. He leant towards his sister, searching for the comfort he was lacking at the moment and whispered.

"Should we talk about our recent discovery? It'd help us to pass time."

His twin sister nodded, then he smiled. Their recent discovery had been a real surprise. It seemed on their mother's side, they were part of a very known English line. Their mother was born to a quincy line - cousin to the Ishida - and to the Black line, a very well-known English magic family. The Black were known for their secrets and so-called 'dark-arts'. They were known to be a dark family - meaning for the English magical people, evil people. Of course, none of the siblings believed in the bullshit white and dark magic. Magic was magic.

"It's kind of crazy. We have a father from a shinigami line, a noble clan in the Soul Society, a mother from a Quincy line and a well-known magic line. Crazy family." Seiko stated, keeping her voice low as she eyed her younger sisters.

"And we're fuckin' visored." Ichigo added with a small smile.

Her sister grinned at those words. It was true. While their young siblings were both shinigami and quincy, the twins Ichigo and Seiko were visored. Their Quincy powers were weaker than their sisters' Quincy powers. Even though it had been rather difficult to learn to control their hollow powers by themselves, the twins were quite proud. They had succeeded somehow.

"Well, at first we didn't know there was a term." Seiko noted, opening her bottle of water with her hands then she removed her mask to take a sip of water.

"Yeah." Her brother agreed. "Do you think that if Getaboshi had known about it, he would have tried to help us?"

"I don't know." She confessed, thinking about how hard it was. "Nobody ever gave us real training."

Urahara had perhaps given them at first training like Shihōin had done. But it had always been rushed. The twins had a perfect memory, they could remember battles perfectly. They kept a notebook hidden somewhere in which they wrote about what they could do, what they had seen, and the training they were doing. The siblings had gone a few times in the Soul Society, the twins had never told a soul about the things they took with them back to the living world.

Nobody - except perhaps Urahara - knew that they had succeeded in sealing their zanpakuto, all thanks to their cousin, Kukaku, who had given them Asauchi the second time they had seen her. They had never known why she had done that, but they had thanked her the third time they had seen her. It turned out, Kukaku had guessed the first time they were Shiba. Only one glance had been enough for her to know they descended from the Shiba line. However, it didn't mean they had the greatest relationship.

Ichigo and Seiko were not like any other Shiba. And it caused a problem. This fact had deeply disappointed them.

"I'm glad we have zanpakuto to spar with." Ichigo mumbled as he opened his bento.

"Yeah." She nodded. As she also opened her box to eat her bento, she whispered something they hadn't thought of since their departure from Namimori. "When do you think people will notice our absence?"

The siblings had told no soul about their departure from Namimori, especially Japan.

"I give them two months to notice." Ichigo said with a small smile, knowing that they would both bet.

"Yer too nice." His sister informed, smirking. "I'd say three months."

They grinned at each other then they started eating. Two hours and a half later, the plane landed at the airport of London. The Shiba siblings went off the plane, Karin and Yuzu both rubbing their eyes, then they traveled through the airport and through customs. It took them three hours to go through everything.

Seiko had booked one room with four beds in a hotel in London back in Namimori before their departure. They exited the airport and called a cab to lead them to their hotel. The four Japanese were silent, mostly because the older twins were exhausted. Yuzu and Karin looked in awe at the windows of the vehicle as they passed through the city.

"It looks awesome." Karin mumbled, watching the different buildings as the taxi was approaching the hotel they were staying in for one day and one night.

"Yeah." Her twin agreed with a soft smile. "I can't wait to visit London."

The driver looked in the rear-view mirror twice, he seemed to be rather confused by the language they were speaking. He did notice his clients were Asian, but he didn't know the language.

"Which country are you from?" The driver politely asked, keeping an eye on the road.

"Japan." Yuzu replied easily, her English accent was good thanks to Seiko and Ichigo because they were Shakespeare's lovers.

Thanks to them, she was fluent in English.

"A beautiful country! Well, welcome to England! Hope you enjoy it there!" The driver happily said as he parked the vehicle in front of their hotel.

"Thank you." The siblings all said at once exiting the car. They took their suitcase with the help of the driver, a pleasant middle-aged man with dark curly hair and blue eyes. Then, after paying him for the ride they bowed to him.

"Good day." He said before leaving.

The siblings entered the hotel under the gaze of the passers-by that had seen them bowing, while some of them knew it was a form of respect, others looked at them confused.
