Mr. Pigeon 72 is the next episode in S4 after Gang of Secrets. Instead of Alya, Luka! This is a Lukanette story.

Luka smiled at Marinette. He was greatly honored that the bluenette right in front of him trusted him with her secret. Now he understood why she couldn't be truthful with him. He was willing to give her his full support.

"I'm sorry! I'm so sorry for hurting you, Luka! I just.."

Luka held Marinette closer to him. "You don't need to apologize, Marinette. I understand now. You don't have to be alone in this anymore." While words weren't exactly his strong suit, he still tried. This girl that he held in his arms changed his life.

How he looked at everyone... each person had a different melody. Some different. Some the same. When he first met Marinette, her melody sounded sad. He didn't need to know why because he already knew. Throughout his life, he had listened to different types of melodies. But something had hadn't ever heard was a melody that sounded like hers'. He was touched by her melody and adored it.

"You trusted me with a Miraculous. You're an incredible girl, Marinette and an inspiring hero." He brought one of his hands to her face and wiped away her still flowing tears. Luka held himself back to cup the side of her face. "I know my identity's been compromised, but I'm willing to help you no matter what."

She simply smiled and buried her face back into his chest. All she needed was comfort.

Now, she didn't really expect Luka to come to her when she said she needed someone while she uh did her science experiment alone. Under normal circumstances, she would have called Alya, but her best friend hadn't any idea she was Ladybug. She kept her attention on the cauldron filled with a mysterious purple liquid. One of her pink towels sat on her head while she was transformed. She was even wearing her pink bath robe.

"Sure it's amazing being Ladybug. I've got these powers. These awesome kwamis," she pointed her wooden spoon at the kwamis who watched her make another contraption of a potion. In her other hand was a paper with some notes.

The blue haired guitarist looked at the kwamis. It was nice to reunite with Sass once more. He enjoyed the vibes he got from that little snake kwami.

"But could you imagine if I could prevent Shadowmoth from creating villains in the first place?" As Marinette spoke, she added a few ingredients here and there. "Hah! It's be ruined!" She looked up at a board filled with leads and poor innocent civilians who feel victim to Hawkmoth. "Have you noticed that Shadowmoth seems to re-akumatize people much more often these days?" She placed the hand that had the notes down and underneath her chin.

Luka walked closer to her. A hand was also underneath his chin. To hear that from Ladybug... that was quite interesting.

"Do you know why? Because he gets to know them," Ladybug went back to adding ingredients here and there while stirring. "And figures out how to manipulate them better."

"You have a point, Marinette. I was akumatized twice. Once as Silencer and the other as Truth. As Truth, I wanted to know what you were hiding from me."

"I had to keep that a secret.." She scanned over the notes again.

Luka placed a hand on her shoulder with an understanding smile. "Now that I know the truth, you know I have your back."

Marinette brought her attention back to the board along with Luka's.

"Woah, what? Mr. Pigeon has been akumatized seventy-one times?"

"He's just a harmless guy trying to take care of his pigeons." Ladybug picked up another piece of paper with confusing writing on it. "It's so not fair. I promised him I'd find a way to keep him safe from Shadowmoth, but I just can't figure it out." She let out a frustrated groan. "I don't understand a thing in this spellbook!"

"Master Fu didn't really understand much of it either, but he was able to do it in proper time and rest." Wayzz gave his input of what he had seen from Wang Fu. It wasn't much to say, but maybe Ladybug could get something out of it?

A lightbulb seemed to appear right above Ladybug's head, "Hold that thought, Wayzz! I think this is it!" She grabbed a pinch of some blackness and put it in the cauldron. As soon as the ingredient hit, it exploded.

This explosion blew up in Ladybug's face and sent her back.

Luka's jaw fell as he was sent flying back as well. He landed hard on his butt. The number of times this had happened, he didn't really care if he got hurt. He was more concerned about Marinette... err Ladybug. He helped her back up by offering his hand which she always took with a smile.

A frown crossed her face and looked over at the cauldron. "I was sure that spicy little rock would be the it."

Sass flew towards Luka while the ladybug themed superhero headed towards the cauldron. "Do usss kwamiss a favor, Luka. Reassson with her to posssibly take a break."

The blue haired guitarist gave the snake kwami a brief nod. "Marinette," he began. "How long have you been at this?" A worried look crossed his face.

"I don't know. Six or seven days. Maybe ten? You know, now that I'm on spring break, I finally have time to put my whole heart into it." She shook something in a small glass tube.

Luka eyed her sewing machine and then took a look at Ladybug. "When was the last time you worked on one of your projects?"

"I do loads of projects! Just take a look over there!" She pointed to a corner of her room.

The so called projects she had weren't anything at all. There was a scrap of fabric on a headless mannequin with some discarded pieces that littered the ground. She then pointed to another contraption she had made.

"If anyone comes into my room, it'll set my hat off!" A cowboy like hat with black headphones at on her head.

Luka chuckled slightly. "I understand your caution, Marinette, but please take a break. I know you don't go back on your promises, but I'm worried about you."

"No way! No breaks."

She was quite stubborn.

He could see where she got that kind of behavior from. Seeing her as Ladybug made him see her in a new light.

"No breaks until I find out how to keep Shadowmoth from re-akumatizing people!" She unscrewed a lid that contained a blue powdery substance and dumped the entirety of it into the cauldron. And once again, this caused a massive explosion that caused herself, Luka, and even her parents to fall on their butts.

Luka stood up and helped Ladybug onto her feet once more. "When you keep Paris safe like you do, it's inspiring. Listen, I know you want to defeat Shadowmoth, but I'm begging you to take a break. It's for your own good."

"How can I take a break when Shadowmoth is targeting everyone I love?"

Sass gave Luka a concerned look that even Luka was starting to share with him. He looked down to see photos of himself, Adrien, and her friends scattered all over the floor. Now that he was thinking about Adrien, he only just heard about this from his little sister, Juleka. Maybe if he got her mind on something else, she would just stop this madness. "Jules told me something about Adrien."

Her head shot up in his direction, "Adrien?! What about him? Is he okay?"

"Adrien and Kagami aren't seeing each other anymore."

"What?! Since when? Are you serious? Is this some kind of joke?"

Luka smiled at her. It was clear that Marinette still held feelings for Adrien, but he wasn't going to say anything against that. He was more than willing to wait for her.

"I have to go and console Kagami!"

Kagami?! Wait wait wait wait wait wait! She was supposed to go and console Adrien! Not Kamgami. This was a rather big surprise to him.

She threw off her bath robe along with the towel on her head.

"Poor thing! She must be devastated!"

Where was the Marinette he knew? Again, wouldn't she want to go and console Adrien about it? It was pretty clear that Marinette had this massive crush on the model who was oblivious to it all. He knew. Juleka knew. Alya knew. Everyone knew. Even his own father.

"What about Adrien?"

"What about Adrien?" she asked.

"Don't you have to go console Adrien? I mean he's your friend too."

"Why would I console Adrien?"

"I recall you wanting to have a family with him. What was it?" He put one of his hands underneath his chin thoughtfully. When Juleka had her friends over, he had heard all about her wanting to have three kids and a hamster with the blond model. "The three kids and a hamster?" He chuckled lightly.

"How did you know that?" she shook her head, "No wait! That doesn't matter! I can't be with Adrien! I can't even talk to him compared to you! Not that that really matters now, but besides... I have no more feelings for Adrien.. I don't love him anymore." She had crossed her arms over her chest.

He saw right through her when she said she no longer held feelings for Adrien. The melody in her heart longed for him. It was as crisp as an apple. He continued to listen to her.

"Kagami and Adrien are perfect for each other. She has no problem talking to him and they fence together. Poor girl. She must be so upset."

"This is a joke, right? Has being locked up in your room breathing magical fumes caused you some kind of harm?"

"Luka, Kagami doesn't exactly have any other friends other than Adrien and I. I can't just leave her in the dark."

Maybe what he just said wasn't the best use of words. He rubbed the back of his neck nervously.

"I have to go and console her."

"I won't be stopping you, Marinette. Just one thing. Please go and get some fresh air. Don't even think about all of this. However, I will try and make sense of all these notes. Maybe I can find something."

"You would do that for me?" A smile graced her lips.

"Of course. You're not alone anymore, Marinette. I've got your back, remember?"

"Thanks, Luka!" she wrapped her arms around him, pulling him in a tight hug.

He hugged her back.

Ladybug darted towards the trapdoor of her room.

"Hey wait!" he called to her. "I think it would come as a surprise to your parents to see you as Ladybug."

"Oh yeah! Spots off!"

"And your pajamas?"

She looked down at herself and blushed. "Oh yeah.. uhm thanks Luka." She had gone to change and gather her swim items filled with various items. Then she returned to Luka and placed a kiss on his cheek. "I'll see you later!"

Luka waved at her and watched her go.
