CHAPTER 2

As soon as Dean opened the door he came face to face with a kid of about 12. Before Dean could say a word , the said kid pushed through him and entered his motel room.

"Hey who are you , kid ?" Sam asked standing. He was just opening his laptop to do some research when a kid barged in their room.

Dean noticed the kid was panting and sweating. It looked like he has been running for a while. Dean took a step forward and asked the same question Sam had asked but a lot more sternly , "You heard him. Who are you ?"

Collin had been searching for these two men everywhere. He had been running like all hell broke loose , searching the parking lot of every motel , every diner he could find. And he finally found these two men at a motel which was about a few streets away from where he lives.

"Sir , please my brother is in danger. You have to help me just please , I will do whatever you want. Please save him." Collin said pleading. He would do anything they want if they get him his brother.

"Calm down, kid. Take a breath and tell us first who you are and where are your parents ?" Sam said. The kid was looking on the verge of tears.

"My name is Collin. I don't have parents. And I know that you are hunters. Now please will you help me ?" Collin asked and the tears he was holding in for so long made their way out, flowing down his cheeks.

Dean's heart broke seeing the kid cry. He looked at Sam who was no better than him. Dean led his hand gently on the kid's shoulder in an attempt to make him sit on the bed but the kid flinched and he withdrew his hand instantly as if it burned.

"What help do you need ?" Sam asked. The kid looked like he couldn't be more than 13. He had no parents and with the way he just flinched , it all pointed towards an unpleasant past.

"There's two kids dead in the town. And now my little brother is also missing. I can't find him anywhere. Help me to find him before something happens to him. Please, Sir, please. He's the only family I have." Collin said looking at Sam and Dean in turns.

"Tell us what exactly happened ? How did your brother go missing and from where ?" Dean said calmly to Collin. The way Collin knew about them being hunters confirmed the fact that he knew about hunting or maybe he is a hunter's kid. Maybe his parents died hunting and now he and his brother live alone.

"I work as a dishwasher in the diner across the motel where I live with my little brother , Ryan. Ryan never leaves the motel without telling me. I returned from the work and searched for him everywhere but I couldn't find him. I heard you both talking in the diner about the missing kids who were about Ryan's age. I can't wait and I know whatever is responsible for those kids has my Ryan with him. I need help , Sir." Collin said tearfully.

Sam handed him a glass of water but the kid didn't take it. "Just drink some water Collin. We don't know what we are hunting now but don't worry we would find it soon. We were just about to research. You have to calm down." Sam said and again offered Collin some water.

"I can't fucking calm down. Something has my brother." Collin snapped at Sam.

"Hey kid , listen to me. I am an older brother too. That giant man you see over there , he is Sam , my little brother so I know how you feel. I promise to you that nothing will happen to your brother. The two kids that died , their bodies were found after about a week since they went missing. So we still have time. We are gonna have to do some research to find the bastard and its hiding place. But we are gonna bring back your brother. Now , you will sit and drink this glass of water. Am I clear ?" Dean said to Collin.

"Yes , sir." Collin replied and took the glass from Sam and sat on the bed drinking it.

"I am gonna do some research." Sam said and made his way to his bed on which his laptop was already lying open.

"I am gonna bring some food." Dean said and with that he made his way out.

Collin was tapping his foot constantly against the floor. It was a nervous tic of his. He didn't knew how his brother was , whether he had eaten something or not. He was loosing his freaking mind. He shouldn't have left Ryan alone , especially after those two kids. It was all his fault and now his brother was out there paying for that.

"Sir ?" Collin called to Sam after about five minutes.

"Yeah ?" Sam replied distracted. He was constantly tapping the keys of his laptop with only research going in his head and nothing else.

"Did you find something ?" Collin asked nervously. He was getting impatient. Somewhere in his logical mind he knew that research cannot be done in five minutes but when it comes to Ryan all of his logic generally flies out of the window.

"No , kid. But I promise you that I will find something soon. Just like Dean I promise you too that your brother will be fine. Okay ?" Sam said gently to the kid. Unfortunately , in the past he had been in the same situation that Collin was in whenever Dean went missing and he was also losing his mind just like Collin was now. So he had a pretty good idea how the kid must be feeling. And he knew Dean had too.

"Yes , sir." Collin replied and resumed his tapping. After a few moments , he stood up and began pacing.

Sam looked at the kid but said nothing. They could tell Collin to don't worry but when your family is on the line , its impossible not to worry. After about five minutes there were four knocks at the door , it means Dean had returned. Knocking the door four times was his brother's way of telling him that its him and not some monster or cops at the door. When you are in hunting these codes comes in handy.

Dean entered the motel room and saw Collin pacing. He looked at Sam who just shrugged his shoulders at him frowning. Dean dropped the bags of food on the table at the door and said , "Come on eat something Collin."

"I can't. I don't know whether my brother has eaten or not." Collin said looking at Dean and shaking his head.

"You not eating will not help Ryan much. You need your full strength in finding your brother. Trust me when I say Sam is a geek , he will find the monster that has your brother. But you need to be at your best when he find Ryan so that you can take care of him. I didn't bring much just some sandwiches for you. You can have one." Dean said handing Collin a sandwich.

Collin shook his head again and said "I don't want it."

"Does it look like I am asking , no , I am ordering you to eat. Here." Dean said offering Collin a sandwich again. He had to use this tone because otherwise there was no way the kid would eat. And he may not know Collin but he knew that the kid must not have eaten since his brother went missing and according to Collin it had been quite a few hours.

Collin had no choice but to take that sandwich. He took it but made no attempt to eat but after Dean pointedly looked at him and then at the sandwich he took a bite.

Sam was eating with one hand and researching with the other. So far he hadn't found anything. And they were on a timer. But he had made a promise to Collin and he would keep it which means he had to find something. Collin had asked him about ten times in the past hour if he had found something. Sam was getting impatient and angry not at Collin but at the lack of results so when Collin asked for eleventh time he snapped at the kid without intending to do so.

"If I will find something I will tell. Understand ?" Sam said in a raised voice.

"Yes , Sir." Collin flinched a little when unwanted memories from the past rose to surface but he replied and nodded at Sam. And Sam felt like the biggest jerk ever.

"Sorry , kiddo. But don't worry I would find something." Sam said and Collin nodded.

Dean was watching Collin while searching through the town history to know if any similar cases had occurred in the past. He noticed Collin sitting at one moment tapping his foot and pacing at another. He had been able to get Collin to eat only one sandwich but it was atleast better than nothing. He wanted to know more about the two kids but first priority was finding little Ryan. He just hoped that he would be able to keep his promise that he had made with Collin.
