AN: So, unlike my previous Unikitty stories, this one will be a short Unikitty x Puppycorn one-shot. I am hoping to write some more one-shots for this ship at some point in the future. Anyway, I hope you enjoy the story.
A Night Under the Stars
After having another day filled with adventures and fun times with her friends, Unikitty decided to get a good night's sleep. The princess couldn't wait to find out what fun times tomorrow would have to offer, so she got under her covers and turned out the lights. A couple of hours had passed, and Unikitty was still wide awake from her exciting day. She tossed and turned, but was not the least bit tired. Knowing that she wasn't going to fall asleep anytime soon, Unikitty jumped out of bed and decided to take a walk around the castle.
It was really quiet with everyone asleep. This was surprising because Unikitty's castle was not usually this silent. Unikitty walked down the castle's hallway until she got startled when Puppycorn called out for her.
"Hey, sis! What are you doing up?"
"Oh, Puppycorn!" Unikitty was surprised to find her brother/boyfriend awake as well. "How come you aren't in bed? Are you having trouble sleeping too?"
"Yeah! I just can't sleep after the fun day we had with our friends!" Puppycorn explained.
Unikitty nodded, knowing exactly how Puppycorn felt. "I know what you mean, little bro. I'm surprised that any of our friends are able to go to sleep after today." It was at that moment when Unikitty came up with an idea. "Hey, why don't we go outside for a little bit. It's a beautiful night outside."
"Great idea, sis! I kind of feel like running around a bit!"
"Me too! Let's go outside and get some fresh air!"
With that, Unikitty and Puppycorn made their way through the castle until they finally reached the front door. As the siblings walked outside, they took in the sights of a beautiful night. It was dark outside apart from a bunch of tiny fireflies fluttering in the night. Just looking at this wonderful night made Unikitty and Puppycorn glad that they didn't go to sleep just yet.
With a wag of his tail, Puppycorn ran outside. He then turned around and said, "Come on, sis! You're missing out on the fun!"
"Hey, no fair! You got a head start!" Unikitty then ran outside as well.
The two siblings ran together in the night, having a fun time with each other. They ran around the castle until they started to feel exhausted and decided to lay down on the grass. Surprisingly, laying in the grass felt just as comfortable to the siblings as laying in their beds They even got a pretty good view of the night sky above them.
Right above Unikitty and Puppycorn was the full moon, surrounded by tiny twinkling stars. They continued to stare at the sky in awe until they turned to face each other. Puppycorn didn't think it was possible, but he thought that Unikitty's eyes somehow looked more beautiful than ever as he caught a glimmer of light twinkling in her eyes. Puppycorn started to blush as he shyly looked away, bringing his attention back to the stars. It wasn't long before the siblings caught sight of a shooting star flying passed them.
"Wow! It's a shooting star!" Puppycorn gasped in surprise.
"Oh my gosh! Quick, little bro! Close your eyes and make a wish!" Unikitty said as she closed her eyes.
Puppycorn then closed his eyes and thought about what to wish for. As Puppycorn learned from his last birthday, he is not supposed to say his wish out loud. If there was one thing that he would wish for, it would be a lifetime supply of free pizza. As soon as the shooting star passed, Unikitty and Puppycorn opened their eyes.
"That was amazing!" Unikitty said as she still couldn't get over how pretty the shooting star was. "I hope your wish comes true, little bro!"
"Thanks, sis! And I hope that your wish comes true as well!" Puppycorn replied.
"It doesn't need to because my wish already came true." Unikitty explained.
"Really?" Puppycorn raised an eyebrow.
Unikitty nodded. "Yes, I wished to have you as an amazing boyfriend."
Hearing this caused Puppycorn to smile "Aw! That's a nice thing to wish for!" After a couple of moments of silence, Puppycorn turned to his sister and asked, "Hey, sis. Do you think that we will be together forever?"
"I'm sure that we will, little bro." Unikitty assured her brother. "No matter how much everyone tries to separate us, we will always be together, stronger than ever!"
Deep down, Puppycorn knew that Unikitty was right. It wasn't long before Puppycorn let out a yawn. Unikitty heard that and started to giggle.
"Feeling sleepy, little bro?"
"Kind of." Puppycorn rubbed his eyes.
"Me too. I think it's about time that we go back to bed." Unikitty said to which Puppycorn nodded in agreement.
Before leaving, Unikitty and Puppycorn wrapped their paws around each other before kissing each other on the lips. The kiss lasted several seconds before the siblings broke apart.
"I love you, little bro!" Unikitty smiled at her brother.
"Love you too, sis!" Puppycorn smiled back.
The two sleepy siblings could barely keep their eyes open as they walked back to their castle. It wasn't long before Unikitty and Puppycorn returned to their rooms. With their eventful night over, Unikitty and Puppycorn jumped back in their beds to get a good night's sleep.
