Chapter VI- Proving oneself
On the alley the hunter walked through the streets in a way distraught by the fact that he had lost his target because of the heroes of the city, his confusion however was why they did this and saved a creature of the night. Was it because they spotted him and didn't knew why or was it because they saw something and they considered to be bad or did they knew and they befriended her. The last though he shrugged, it wasn't possible to befriend a creature of the night by his experience despite the fact that he reluctantly left the ones that help alone, that either because of a moderate hunter that intervened or because he might needed them later. However he never realized why some of the creatures helped him. With those thoughts on his mind he didn't minded the fact that Megan was following him so that she could tell them where to find him and capture him.
"If this sneaking might have been with the purpose of uncovering a conspiracy theory regarding them I would have surely have done great." Megan said to herself while following him however he sensed that he was followed turning his head to his right he however saw nothing Megan going to an alley to her right to escape his sight.
"That was close only if he would stop moving." She said to herself before peaking near the corner; however something caught her eye on a rooftop, a shadow that seemed to have a cape.
"Huh?" The shadow leaped from the rooftop and before the man.
"Hello Frank." Said the shadow and Megan saw what it was, the shadow of a sickly pale and bald man with a long sharp face and chin and red eyes, surely a full vampire and it seemed the man had a hostile look in his eyes now.
"Malkazar! I knew we would meet at last."
"Really?" He said a bit confused "I never thought that you would think coming here."
"Don't play the fool I know that you are the one who was ordering that little vampire girl to cause trouble. The same one that you used in London alongside that thug you hypnotized." He said preparing his miniature crossbow at his wrist.
"I don't know what you are talking about the girl, but for me I am glad that you are here. I will at last avenge my master."
"Your master was twisted creature because he attacked others without any remorse."
"Oh, because of your old friend, well for that it was a pleasure however you remained the same person you were back then."
"I don't think so." He said pulling the trigger for a small silver arrow to be launched whom the creature immediately dodged it making it go into a dumpster.
"You see you still are, I didn't had any help back in London with that girl you talk about but that girl I don't know anything. This is however besides the point." He said with a smirk.
"What?!" He asked while in a lightning flash the vampire grabbed Frank's wrist and moved behind him.
"Don't worry I don't intend to bite, yet. I will instead make you remember all the bad things you did for you to know misery." He said while the man struggled and in a pile of black smoke, he vanished completely and went into the sewers.
"I really don't want an unhealthy night life now." Megan said before pulling out her phone. "It seems it will be a change of plans." She added before noticing something on the ground that was dropped by the hunter and immediately went to pick it up. It was something like a detector the shape of a tablet with several lights flicking in different colors and 2 antennas.
In the meantime
"For how long did you know that she is…" GoGo started.
"A dhampir this is what she is." Hiro said defensively.
"A what?" Wasabi asked confused.
"Dhampirs, are half-human and half-vampire hybrids, according to mythology they are able to go around people without trouble, and also they inherit the vampire's abilities." Baymax said showing them a diagram on his belly.
"How could this even be possible?" Wasabi asked.
"Well even I didn't know till recently that this could be possible alongside the fact that the supernatural exists." Hiro said.
"For how long did you knew?" Fred asked eager to know.
"I accidently found out when I presented Baymax and detected some things." He said.
"Oooh boy, I got so many questions right now for her I don't know where to start. Should I tell her about her diet? How come that she didn't burn at the sun? Is the able to change into a bat or anything? Is she going out mostly at night? Or…."
"Fred stop it! You do know she could be dangerous." GoGo started.
"Ohh please this is totally out of ordinary I really can't wait to ask her as much as I can."
"I really don't know if we should." Wasabi said.
"AND THOSE ARE THE RESONS OF WHY SHE DIDN'T WANT TO TALK ABOUT IT!" Hiro shouted to them tracking their attention.
"This is exactly what she thought would happen when all of you would find out about her secret. Fred, you started immediately to want to ask who knows how many questions about this; GoGo you immediately go defensive and say she is dangerous; You Honey Lemon started to immediately panic and be afraid because of her vampire side and you Wasabi got immediately freaked out and you probably would have wanted to run away."
"To be honest Hiro, who wouldn't?" Wasabi said.
"Still why do you take her part you knuckle head?" GoGo asked.
"Tell me how many times I was alone and had the opportunity to get me, to bite me and anything else a creature of the night would have done by what we know and also how many times some of you were alone and had the opportunity to do so and never done it?" Hiro started turning to Honey Lemon who still was staying against the wall.
"Honey Lemon she made your hair and talk to you several time and was close to your neck, you think she didn't had the opportunity of doing anything?"
"Well she could have done it, but….." She started thinking about what Hiro was telling them. "She didn't."
"Exactly." The young genius started before turning to Wasabi "In your case Wasabi what did she gave you a leaflet about dental hygiene which creatures like her use." He said and the Afro-American Physics Major was a bit dumbstruck by this especially that what he had used was very, very good and very efficient but he didn't knew that it was used by them.
"You know I thought that they would use something more….unnatural what she gave me was quite, normal." He said.
"That is because she wants to be normal, that is all she wanted and she is not alone her mother just because she became a creature of the night thanks to one who had to save her life from a fire which I consider her to be very lucky is also trying one thing to do. She is trying to be normal like anyone else and this is what she has tried to do with her and her siblings despite sometimes using her powers with the purpose of protecting them in different way. As for her father despite been a vampire hunter he is trying to do one thing help her feel normal again and also try ways to cure her of this. However they want one thing for both her and the others, feel like all the other normal people. And this is what she has done till now behaved like a normal person. And she is not even the only one." He said to them before everyone started to look at one another before turning to the unconscious girl now with sympathy.
"So she actually never wanted to do anything bad, but instead wanted to be like a normal person like anyone else." Honey Lemon said.
"Exactly and they are not the only ones." Hiro said.
"Not the only ones?" GoGo asked.
"When Karmi and Megan came yesterday and they met her we told them of her secret alongside the fact that she brought us to a pub, whose owner is a vampire and surprisingly the place was actually full of other people, and some of them were even simply talking to some vampire who were barely 3 to 5 customers, whom some may or may not know of this but everyone treated them without a problem. They simply behaved like anyone else around them. And this brought us one thing to know, that what we know about the supernatural is not what is usually portrayed. Not all of them are evil, there are quite a number of them who simply want to have normal lives." He explained.
"So that means not everything we know about them is true?" Fred asked.
"Exactly not all of them are evil."
"For me that's a relief, but how did you told Karmi and Megan about her secret?" Wasabi asked.
"They found out in the same I did, by accident. When Megan tripped and fell, she accidently took the ring off from her finger and because she inherited a milder sun weakness, which irritates her skin in 3 hours however the ring isn't quite working properly because of a crack that has on the crystal. They saw this and wanted answers and because of this we had to show them her secret by walking on the ceiling of the bathroom."
"Well this is really something no one had ever expected." Fred said.
"Say that again." GoGo commented.
"Urgh-urgh." Emma said starting to wake up with difficulty and everyone turned to her luckily no more afraid.
"Emma, are you alright?" Hiro asked going near her while she looked at him with weak eyes.
"As if a 10 story building was on me." She said barely making any move.
"Barely am able to move." She said going for her shoulder to pull the syringe out.
"Baymax, scan the content of the syringe." Hiro ordered while the robot complied.
"The syringe contains a powerful substance with the effect of weakening the body that has also a mixture of garlic essence. Recommended is some hours of bed rest till the substance wears off." Baymax said.
"If I have the luxury of having it, that is." She said.
"Don't worry there, we already know the truth, we were told about your secret and your life." GoGo said with her mask back.
"Did Hiro….told you that I also….know your secrets, and isn't necessary to hide behind masks." She said with a weak voice while everyone removed their head gear.
"I still can't believe that we had really rescued a real flesh and bone vampire." Fred said excited before GoGo poked him. "Sorry Half-Vampire but still…." The tomboy poked him with her shoulder again.
"Let her rest for now." GoGo asked.
"So Emma you know it's really out of ordinary to find out that you are a supernatural creature, but Hiro explained to us that you never intended anything bad and still can't believe that Professor Granville is having relatives that are supernatural creatures." Honey Lemon said.
"I will explain everything, but not at this moment." She said placing her hand on her forehead.
"Ah yeah we didn't managed to find out due to the explanation Hiro had to give us. What is the deal with that man who was after you?" Wasabi asked.
"That man is called Frank he is a radical vampire hunter who thinks that all are dangerous and not trustworthy. He turned like this when an ancient vampire attacked him and killed his friend 20 years ago and joined the hunters to have revenge. However one night when I was returning from home a thug hypnotized by a servant of the one that attacked him and his friend to attack someone that I knew and I intervened to save the victim that was under aggression and saw me. And now he believes that I was working for him as a servant or a subordinate and wanted to capture me to lead to his target but I don't know where it is. The one he is looking is known for using thugs to attack others mostly to terrify." She explained.
"And she needs us to catch him so she would erase his memory that is about her so that she seemed for him to never have existed." Hiro said.
"That if we find him and she recovers to do so, that is." Wasabi said.
"We have to try, he surely didn't went too far from we were." Honey Lemon said.
Beep-beep
Hiro's phone ringed, pulling out from his pocket he noticed that the one calling was Megan.
"Megan what is it?"
"I followed Frank on the streets till he was stopped on his tracks by someone who was surely an evil vampire who took him up and forced him into the sewers of the city." She said through a video chat.
"It seems we will have to rescue him now." Hiro said.
"OH YEAH this will be epic, a new chapter for our hero saga, next level been facing the supernatural." Fred said in excitement however for some member, it isn't too exciting.
"You know not everything is a comic book." Emma commented struggling to stay upwards to get on her feet.
"I will come as well." She said trying to walk but barely managing to make a step she would have fell if it wasn't for GoGo to catch her.
"Easy now fangs you can't go anywhere in this state right now." She said getting her back on the bed.
"You will need help to beat a vampire, and I know how it is the thing with them." She said in protest.
"We know that, since your father is a vampire hunter and you are a half-vampire. Which by all accounts is very out of ordinary and your father was probably a bit crazy to marry your mother. But even with that you can't go anywhere in such a weak state."
"GoGo is right, you can't go anywhere at this moment till the substance will wear off." Hiro said and she only sighted in frustration.
"Even with that take a look in there." She said pointing to a round green bag and Wasabi immediately opened the bag. Inside there were 2 flasks of fresh Holy Water alongside a string of garlic with a book of prayer, rosary and 2 crucifixes one bigger and the other smaller alongside 5 silver small arrows plus 5 wooden stakes.
"You got a hole bag with stuff to hunt vampires? But aren't you one as well?" Wasabi asked confused.
"Dhampirs or half-vampires don't have the weaknesses of regular vampires, even though my skin is slightly weaker when exposed to powerful sun rays something that will disappear when I turn 20. I am not vulnerable to holy water crosses or other holy objects. Those will help you to put him down." She explained.
"Ohh I can barely wait." Fred said taking the bag.
"However you need to detect him, if you don't find him you will solve nothing." Emma said.
"Yeah that will be the problem."
"Hiro can I speak with Emma about something it's about how to detect Frank?" Megan asked through his phone and the boy handed his phone to the dhampir.
"What is it Megan?"
"When that vampire took Frank he had dropped this device, do you know what is used for?" She asked showing her the device.
"That's a supernatural detector, used to find supernatural creatures, it must have dropped when he was taken."
"We will be on our way, stay there and keep the detector." Hiro ordered before Megan's phone started to ring.
"You better hurry, my dad wants to get home soon." She said while Hiro ended the call and placed his helmet on.
"Wait what about her." Fred asked pointing at Emma.
"I will be alright you don't need to worry about me." She said still weak.
"Sorry but we don't let you alone." Hiro said turning to the latina and the Afro-American.
"Wasabi, Honey Lemon you stay here and take care of her the rest of us will go after Frank." Hiro ordered while taking the vampire hunting kit.
"Ohh I can't wait." Fred said and immediately was out of the room before Baymax, GoGo and Hiro left the room.
"Urgh for this is no job for the faint hearted." Emma commented.
"And now I am glad that we are here to only watch over you." Wasabi said.
"You wouldn't have done it if Hiro didn't explain everything."
"Sorry but let's admit it, this information isn't something one finds out every evening. That the niece of the dean is a half-vampire." Wasabi said.
"That is why I didn't want to tell the first time we met because of you all freaking out."
"Tactical approach I believe."
"Even with that I don't want to stay here and others carry my own burden." Emma explained.
"Emma with all respect but from what I can tell from the substance in this syringe isn't only a sedative for sure; it must affect every kind of supernatural creature including you. You have to rest." Honey Lemon said placing her hand on her shoulder.
"There is a much quicker way for me to recover." She said pointing with her finger to another of one her bags this time a black backpack that had a small pocket. "Inside that bag is a box with a special tea that will help me, get it out from there and listen to my instructions carefully."
Wasabi went to the bag and opened it where she indicated and inside there was a small dark box with a bat symbol on the cap alongside a thermos, inside the box there was a total of 15 small red tea bags. The Afro-American of course looked attentively at them and thinking that they might be again linked to the supernatural he doesn't want to take risks.
"What is in those bags?"
"It is called blood tea, it is a special tea that creature of the nights could use to replace blood and it also helps one to recover quickly the content are different mixture of plants that also include a single drop of vampire blood." She explained which made the young man feel a small frost on his spine.
"You need to prepare it with only one bag, but only one bag no more. In this way I will be able to recover. Once that is done you place the rest in a thermos and wash the teapot." Emma explained.
"Alright one bag." Wasabi said taking one and the thermos.
"But what happens if we make one with 2 for example?" Honey Lemon asked.
"No time to give too many details now, but it is precautionary so that a normal person wouldn't be too much affected if he drinks a cup. That tea could give one for 3 hours several vampire abilities, but it could also make one turn a bit nuts if one doesn't use them to exhaust the effect. The bag must not stay for more than 10 minutes." She explained and the 2 understood and Wasabi went to the kitchen to prepare it.
In the meantime in the sewer of San Fransokyo the rest of the team now equipped with the detector were searching for their targets, all in all searching a creature of the night in the sewers was something they never expected, by all standards.
"You know I do realize that what we know about vampires isn't actually real but still. I didn't expected to have to search for one in the sewers of the city." GoGo commented.
"Not mentioning the unsanitary situation that is present." Baymax said.
"I wonder why did this one used them out of anything else." Hiro asked holding the detector.
"Oh you remember what Emma told us, they have to be unnoticed by others, so this means that he used them only to escape to another place." Fred said in his excited manner.
"Sure and the problem is we don't where he is probably hiding." Hiro said extending his hands and the detector started to make sounds.
"Hey look." Fred pointed to the detector and Hiro started to move in the direction of where the detector was making more and more noise, moving it at a normal pace he noticed that the device was pointing to something above them.
"We got something. We need to go upwards now."
"We know what that will mean." Fred started turning to Baymax.
"Baymax use your rocket fist so we can go upwards." Fred said.
"But Fred we can use the ladder." He said pointing to the very close ladder that was leading upwards.
"But but it isn't fun at all." Fred commented.
"Come on." GoGo said grabbing him to get to the ladder.
In the meantime in a secret location
"You are wasting your time, if you want to kill me just do it, in any case this is what your master did anyways." Frank now tied to a chair said with venom to the vampire.
"Oh I prefer to bid my time since this is the thing we have more than enough off. And besides regarding my master I have to thank you for freeing me from him. During this time I had refined my own techniques." Said the vampire with a smile of malice.
"And in what way you do actually? Hypnotizing thugs and then use your little pet vassal to attack others, like you did in London." He said.
"Like I said, I only use thugs and nothing else to attack others, but this is only for my own pleasure to see others scream in terror, I don't use vassals or any other little vampire. As for that girl you always remember can't believe you can't tell the difference between a vampire and dhampir." He said confusing the man.
"Dhampir? You mean those half-human things."
"Don't you have them in your ranks; by all accounts most of them choose to be in the ranks of the hunters or simply live as normal people." He said turning to a table.
"They are still vampires, no matter what they are or who one of their parents were."
"You spent many years with the hunters and you learned only the basics from what I can tell." He said with a smirk before taking a laptop and started a video with a recording taken from a rooftop.
"I learned how to put your kind down what else is to know?"
"Well between us you of all the radicals didn't noticed how things were at all. You due to the things my master did tend to jump to conclusions too fast." He getting the laptop before him starting the video.
In the video it was recorded the events that happened during the night in London, there was the girl the supposed victim walking the streets followed by the thug till the man started to go at a faster pace and wanted to catch her and went on an alley that had a dead end.
"What do you want?" Said the girl in fear to the thug.
"Don't worry I just want to hear you scream." Said the thug approaching her with a knife drawn, Frank watching the video noticed the other girl the 'vampire' that 'attack' afterwards.
"Leave her alone." Said the girl and attacked the thug using her super speed to get to him and bit the hand that holds the knife making it drop before the other girl saw the situation.
"What the…Emma Van Hellsin?" Said the other girl shocked in the video and the hunter that was looking, while the vampire girl was fighting the thug.
"Get off of me!" Shouted the thug, grabbing her and throwing her off him but landed on her feet readying herself and attacking him again and this time with all her force threw him to the wall before the dhampir girl went to the other.
"Rebecca are you alright?" She asked grabbing both her shoulders.
"Emma." She started not knowing what to say "What, what was all that?"
"You don't need to be afraid. I only want to help you." Emma said before the thug turned to them but Emma then made a menacing and terrifying hiss at the assailant and it started to run away, right when he arrived and was preparing his small crossbow with silver arrows.
"Emma, look out." Rebecca said pointing behind her and the girl noticed but quickly thinking she placed her right arm around her grabbing the girl and in a flash they were gone.
Seeing the recording Frank was completely dumbstruck by everything not only did he made a mistake, but also attacked someone who might have only helped. Which by all accounts made the man feel guilty, however that didn't proved anything since he wanted to know where the 2 went. And the vampire noticed with satisfaction.
"Guilty but not yet sufficient enough. Let's go fast forward to where they went." He said moving the recording fast forward where the 2 were now in a park talking.
"Emma I never thought that you would be a half-vampire." Said Rebecca still a bit shaken because of the super speed and also by this revelation.
"Rebecca listen, I might be what I am, but everything I wanted is to be considered as a normal person just like you and all other people around. I usually wouldn't have used those powers that I have. However I had to do this because you were my classmate from high school whom I still keep into contact with." She said grabbing her hands to hold them. "I am sorry that you had to see all this."
"Emma." Rebecca started holding them tight "I am not scared of you, why should I since you are a good person and an amazing one. And also you were a good bench mate despite the age difference not to mention the fact that we were considered the nerds of the class and we were at least close in this department and by all accounts you had a good reason to keep this a secret from the others." Rebecca said making the girl smile.
"Thanks I really do appreciate this."
"And don't worry, I will keep your secret and that of your family."
"Thanks, I really do appreciate this." She said with a smile.
"So they knew each other." Frank said after this realization before the recording was stopped and the laptop placed back on the table.
"Indeed and now you really do start fell guilty." He said with satisfaction now.
"Tell me, you wanted to show me this because you wanted to make me feel bad for accusing someone who despite been a half-vampire was actually innocent."
"Hmm, no, this enlightment wasn't my intent. You see, unlike my master who made clean kills I am the contrary I enjoy for my pray to feel bad about past events. Forcing them to relive their worst things in life before striking them down, and I do admit that despite me enjoying my master been gone I want a little revenge for what you did to him." He said with a malice smile.
"He deserved it." Frank said defending his action on him.
"Oh indeed he did. However question is are you an angel and are you so righteous and aren't you deserving your fate." He said with malice placing his hand on his head.
"No, no!" And immediately was forcing him recaunt all the things he had done bad in life alongside the fact that he killed several vampires who probably did nothing bad alongside other things which made him shed tears of regret.
"Well now we are talking. Just the way I like." He said with satisfaction extending his claws on his right hand to go to his throat.
"Don't worry I will get you out of your misery." Said the vampire however out of sudden.
"Yeah, your misery indeed pale-face, can't believe you decided to stay in abandoned place like this." Said Fred jumping on the vampire, and forcing him away from its prey, while GoGo, Hiro and Baymax came to untie Frank from the chair.
"Let's get you out of here sir." Hiro said.
"I know the reason why you came Big Hero 6 and it's true that I actually deserve whatever happens since I falsely accused the one whom you just saved for trying only to help and I didn't see it." He said with a melancholically voice confusing them.
"Are you alright sir?" Hiro said before the man pointed to the vampire.
"He showed me, kind of all the bad things I had done in life. This is how he likes his victims to feel before getting them." He said before Fred had been thrown back on them.
"Never underestimate a vampire."
"Well, well Big Hero 6, I don't know why you decided to come here since you only fought against villains that were enhanced with technology I wonder why you decided to come here in my place and ruin my fun." Ian said now angry but still smirking.
"We always help the people in need, no matter whom or what they are. And we protect them especially from people like you creep." GoGo said while they were getting up.
"Ohh this will be most fun." Ian started before assaulting the group throwing Hiro to one side of the building's walls while doing the same with GoGo and then Baymax.
"Hey you can't do that." Fred started but Ian only starred and hissed at him showing him his fangs and red angry vampire eyes which was enough to freeze the boy in kaiju costume.
"Or maybe we could talk."
"This will be most fun." He said with an evil smirk.
In the meantime at Professor Granville's house
"Well I respected the recipe you told me to do this stuff, hope it will help you." Wasabi said bringing the blood tea in a teapot.
"It surely will." She said taking from her backpack a small tea black cup for Wasabi to pour it in and the girl blew in it to try to cool it before drinking some of it and the girl felt her strength starting to come back despite the flavor not been very appetizing to her.
"Does it help?" Honey Lemon asked.
"Little by little it does, despite the fact that I don't like the flavor." She said now been able to get on her feet and walk on her own.
"Do you need some more?" The Latina asked.
"Another one will be enough." She said and the African-American poured again however when she was about to drink she suddenly stopped as if hypnotized confusing the 2.
"Emma are you alright." Honey Lemon asked worried asked while moving her hand in front of her noticing her eyes as if she was hypnotized.
"Something is wrong." She said suddenly coming back to the world.
"What?" Asked the girl.
"Hiro and the others are in trouble."
"How do you know?" Asked Wasabi.
"I can sense when people close are in trouble and have a hard time. And right at this moment they have encountered difficulties we have to get there." She said while Wasabi checked the location of where they could be and the result was an old abandoned warehouse but it wasn't close to where they are right now.
"I know where we have to go but I don't think we will arrive very fast." Wasabi said.
"We have to try. I am not willing to stay here and let others risk their lives." Emma said categorically.
"I know however the main problem is if how will the things be when we get there." Wasabi said.
"I know what must be done." Honey Lemon said taking one of the black tea cups and filled it with some blood tea.
"Honey Lemon what are you doing?!" Emma asked worried.
"You said that this tea can give a normal human several vampire abilities isn't it?" She asked.
"It does but wait you don't intend to." Emma started not liking what she wanted to do.
"I will get there as fast as I can and stall that diavolo while you get there. By all accounts if a vampire is what we are facing then one with the same powers shall stall it." Honey Lemon said.
"Honey Lemon don't." Emma begged while the Latina drinked the entire content and barely a second passed that she started to feel discomfort in her.
"Ugh-Urgh." She started while feeling a change happening in her body, her strength was starting to get unnaturally high and didn't knew that she just broke the cup in her hands and her body was shaking and her eyes started to glow before it stopped.
"Honey Lemon, are you alright?" Emma asked placing her hand on her shoulder but immediately turned around and her face was something else she seemed to almost look like a vampire especially her glowing eyes and nearly formed fangs.
"Honey Lemon, listen you are not yourself."
"Wait, this…..is….amazing, I never felt like this before it's like I got whole world at my hands."
"Honey Lemon listen this is the effect of the tea you need to try to calm yourself."
"No time." She started going near the window and opening it "I have to go to stop that diavolo I want to try this without any more waiting." She said jumping out the window and with an unnatural force she started to move even jumping and leaping from roof to roof till it was no more in sight.
"OK between us I really don't want to try this stuff and no wonder you said only a small bag." Wasabi said placing the teapot down while the girl clenched her fists in guilt.
"This is the thing I always was afraid." Emma said while the boy turned to her "I never wanted anyone that I meet to get into such a situation. I didn't wanted any of you to get into things like this, this is why I didn't wanted to tell anyone. I didn't want you to get dragged into this. My parents always try to get me a normal life, but with what I am it is almost impossible." Emma said nearly starting to cry before Wasabi turned to her and placed both hands on her shoulders.
"Emma listen, everything that happened isn't your fault and neither is the fault of your family. Sure even I have to declared that everyone of us finding out about your secret in several days was indeed quite premature, but even with that and despite even my anxieties you are not to blame. First of all what you did in London was what every good person would do and aside from that, for us you are a good person who wouldn't try to get people in danger. And beyond that what everyone is trying to do is only to help you, it's true that we didn't encountered supernatural creatures before we encountered other villains that used technology. But aside from that you showed us that not all the supernatural is evil and Honey Lemon wouldn't have taken that tea if she didn't wanted to help you. And by all accounts you deserve it because you are a nice person and also a good friend and everyone can see that despite everything and despite what you are." He said and the girl smiled at him now.
"Come now, just try to get better and let's get going." He said taking the cup for the girl to drink and regain her strength.
In the meantime the heroes were trying to fight the creature with everything they have including using the garlic and some of the silver arrows and wooden stakes. And from what it seemed despite the creature been a bit laid low it wasn't backing away because he managed to doge them and have the upper hand over them since he threw the entire group backwards for the third time.
"Don't know why you even try, you had never faced someone like me. You beat different villains in the city and yet you think you can be real monster hunters now, I doubt it." He said taunting them and smirking coming to them right before Hiro showed him a crucifix that made him back away and seemed to behave like he was looking at the sun.
"We didn't encounter your kind indeed, but for your information we know some things to try to beat you. Because this is what we do." Hiro said standing on his feet.
"Indeed but between us I still got surprises off my sleeves. And while I can't approach right now I do wish to see how the blood of heroes tastes." He said with a smirk before throwing some marbles down towards the group for them to fall down.
"Now then time to see how you taste." Said Ian approaching the boy, who looked at him defiantly.
"Taste this." A female voice came and jumped on the vampire throwing him backwards on the wall.
"You want a challenge come and try me." Said the girl who was none other than Honey Lemon and everyone turned to her.
"Honey Lemon what are you doing?" GoGo asked.
"Buying time." She said before Ian tried to jumped on her but dodged him and punched him in the back. Ian then grabbed her and threw her in the wall but she was agile enough for her to land on her feet. However she was too agile for her normal self.
"Wow didn't knew Honey Lemon could do things like this." Fred commented.
"I don't think it is her who could do something like this on her own." GoGo said with suspicion seeing how she is fighting and even Hiro knew that something was up.
"Something really is strange?" He said to himself.
Outside the old warehouse Wasabi in his car had arrived to the location in quite a good time by all accounts since there wasn't any traffic. Quite a stroke of luck one would say.
"Here we are." Wasabi said hearing what was happening in the building alongside the girl who was staying in the passenger seat.
"At last."
"So are you ready to finish the job by using both parts of you?" Wasabi said to her while she with a determined look and a deep breath.
"Let's put an end to this madness." She said getting out of the car while in the warehouse the battle was raging on and this time Ian threw Honey Lemon at the group, the effect was starting to wear off a bit.
"Almost all the people are here. Well, what can I say you all gave me a challenge and it's true that all of you had tired me and made me quite hungry." He said with hungry eyes.
"And I believe I want a final thing." He said leaping forward towards the group who was looking at him anticipating the worst before out of sudden a bind of garlic and a crucifix was thrown in his face making him drop to the ground while before them was none other than the Van Helsing girl who turned towards them with a small smirk while Wasabi came as well to help them up.
"Evening." She said with confidence.
"As if our evening wasn't getting any better. It's Emma van Helsing." GoGo said with a smirk on her face getting on her feet along with the others.
"So what do we got now?" She asked.
"A crazy fanged creep, who likes to taunt others and forced the victim to remember and regret some things he had done in the past, during their lives." Hiro added.
"Ohh boy this is never something I imagined and I love it. LOVE IT!" Fred said in anticipation shaking hard while Frank only looked at what was to unfold.
"So what do we have to do?" Wasabi asked powering up her blades.
"Wasabi you use your blades and a crucifix to get him to stand still; Hiro you get Holy Water; GoGo use speed and garlic; Fred fire; Honey Lemon your chemicals and I the stakes." She said.
"Got it." GoGo said and the others took what they need right when the creature jumped back into battle this time with fury.
"RRRRAAAAAAAA!" He shouted before Emma superfast had moved below him and punched his stomach getting him in a pile of all crates before going out again to attack. GoGo with a garlic bind jumped over him and placed it on his neck nearly made him swallow one and even Emma with a garlic bulb punched his face causing it to burn before the vampire managed to get it off burning his hands.
"Here comes the cleansing fire." Fred shouted launching fire on him and it started to get exhausted and Hiro with a flask of Holy Water moved in and splashed his chest before Emma also moved it dropping it on his face burning it like acid.
"ENOUGH!" He howled furiously before moving forwards but Wasabi with the crucifix moved in and showed it to him stopping in his tracks.
"What is it? Afraid of the divine power of the Holy Cross." Emma said coming behind him and seeing it and not getting affected by it at all neither by holy water on her hands.
"And can't stand Holy Water." She said with a calm smile before the vampire grabbed her and placed her to the ground.
"YOU are sure playing as a Van Helsing young one, but you are a vampire. What is the reason and the meaning for everything, for you playing as a Van Helsing when you shouldn't be." Ian said with a furious face his now hald burned face visible.
"You are right I might have vampire blood, but unlike the likes of you I am not using my abilities for evil and also I liked everything that had transpired right now." He said taunting him.
"Tell me what the reason is for everything as well as your last words." He demanded and she only smirked.
"My message to you is that everything was a luxury and also….." She said before the vampire felt something sharp in his chest and was feeling all his life and power going out of him.
"Ahh-urgh."
"I am Emma Van Helsing, death never frightened me." She said with determination plunging a wooden stake even deeper in the vampire's chest "My family and I live to hunt monsters the likes of you and keep people safe. What I am doing" She plunged the stake and rolled him to the left away from her while getting on her feet. "Is doing the right thing and proving what my family stands for." She finished while the vampire turned to ash his eyes now regretting what he had done by provoking them.
"THIS WAS THE BEST EVENING EVER!" Fred shouted.
"Well this was surely something none of us will forget." GoGo said going to the girl alongside everyone else.
"You did great Emma you really deserve all the appreciations." Honey Lemon said still a bit under the influence of the tea.
"Indeed you are." Frank said while she and the others turned to him.
"I want to apologies for everything and for jumping to conclusions. It seems that I was the villain till finding Ian, and only now I see that not all supernatural creatures are evil." He said looking at her a bit ashamed at what he thought and did.
"And by all accounts you alongside your siblings and your parents really do deserve your family name. And all of you have my thanks for rescuing me after everything." He said extending his hand and Emma shook it.
"It's alright sir. I am glad that you have changed your mind and hopefully you will do your work well into the future." She said.
"Actually I believe it is time for me to retire and let the younger generation to do take over. I believe it's time for me to preoccupy more with the domestic and normal part of my life." He said with a smile taking his bag up. "But even with that we could see around if we will ever encounter again."
"Can't wait for that sir." Emma said with a smile before the man turned to the heroes.
"You surely did great all of you and who knows if you will ever encounter another situation like this again." He said.
"Sure thing. This is a real new chapter." Fred said excited while the man started to walk away from them while the others remained.
"By the way Emma you did great really. We never thought that we will fight against a real vampire." Hiro said.
"For all of us it was out of ordinary especially that I never pictured myself fighting alongside Big Hero 6."
"This night was really crazy." Commented GoGo before turning to the very hyperactive Latina.
"Really it was and this experience it really is out of ordinary by all accounts." Honey Lemon commented.
"And can I ask what happened to her?"
"Ahh, she is under the effect of a tea that replaced blood for Emma so that she would regain her strength but if consumed by normal people it could give some vampire abilities." Wasabi explained still a bit uneasy about this.
"Don't worry it will soon pass." Emma said before turning to the girl.
"And Honey Lemon how are you doing?"
"Amazing." She said turning to them her eyes glowing and something like little fangs showing. "This experience feel so great, I feel like whole world is at hand not to mention the excitement that I feel all around sensing everything despite the fight I still feel so strong." She started with an excited voice.
"3….2….1" Emma counted on her fingers calmly.
"I feel like-ugh-ohh." Honey Lemon started to feel very weak her legs now deserting her and knelt to the ground in exhaustion and somehow confusion. "Urgh, what happened? I feel like I have been lifting boulders." She said.
"Scan indicated a high rate of exhaustion, it is recommended several days of rest and sleep." Baymax said.
"Did we win by the way?" She asked the group before Emma came to her to help her up.
"Don't worry Honey Lemon, everything will pass. You just need some sleep." She said before everyone started to giggle.
"A lot of sleep, if I can comment on that." GoGo added while the others giggled.
