Chapter 20

Arizona and Callie just got done with a couple's massage. It was their second day at the lodge, and they were both in complete bliss. After their massage, they decided to walk out to the pool and hot tub. There weren't many people out there, but they knew that if they just went back to the room then they would not leave just like the night before. They planned to hang by the pool, go up and get changed, and possibly ride the horses through the vineyard.

They walked to the pool hand in hand, locating a couple of seats to leave their robes and towels. Callie wore a yellow bikini and a small shear matching sarong tied around her waist. Arizona had on a royal blue strapless bikini that made her eyes pop even more. The pair was definitely a jaw-dropping couple. They were instructed to avoid cold air for a little while after their massage, so they headed to the hot tub. Callie stepped in first, making sure to keep her cast away from the water. She turned to help Arizona in after her. She knew that she at times treats Arizona as if she is fragile and she has been working on it. But she also realized that she just greatly enjoyed every chance to touch her, hold her, and simply take care of her.

Instead of grabbing Callie's hand that she had held out, Arizona leaned forward and wrapped arms around Callie's neck and wrapped her legs around her; not caring who saw them. Callie smiled her huge smile as she did her best to securely wrap her arms around her. She stood with her for a moment looking into her eyes. "I love you, Arizona," Callie said wholeheartedly. Callie sat with Arizona temporarily still on her lap. Arizona kissed her passionately before sliding off of her lap and sliding next to her and in the hot spinning water. "I love you so much Calliope. All I ever want to do as your partner is to make sure that you are happy". A tear involuntarily fell from Arizona's eyes as she tried to shut her eyes to keep more from falling. She was never this sappy before she met Callie, but she just managed to knock all of her walls down.

Callie kissed Arizona's cheek where her tear had fallen and coaxed her eyes up by lightly rubbing the side of her face. "You do make me happy Arizona. Happier than anyone in my life has ever made me. I have never experienced a love like this before and sometimes I just wonder, where the hell did you come from. Where have you been my entire life? And then I remember that you literally fell from the sky and it all made sense". Arizona let out a light laugh as her puffy eyes met Callie's.

"Sometimes I get sad, and Arizona it's not your job to fix that. Sometimes I may get in a funk but that has absolutely nothing to do with how happy you make me by just being here". Callie took a moment before continuing. "Do you know why I been so sad these past few days?"

"More than anything," Arizona said now completely facing her girlfriend. "Sofia. There's something about Sofia that I couldn't put my hand on at first that made me feel so connected to her. The way she looked at me, the way she was trying to ask for help and guidance…I know that look. I know what it's like to be a young Latina girl with no guidance from your actual parents. I know what it feels like to be confused and scared. I know it's a little different because my parents are alive, but they were never around. As a kid, I thought it was my fault and I felt unwanted every single day. In school and during summer can't I would look to other adults and people to care about me, about my safety, and my wellbeing. I was looking for someone who cares. I always thought that when I got older than it would get better. I would have more in common with them and they would want to care about me and love me. I would find someone that would care about me and love me. But then they found out I was gay, and I knew that would never happen. Then I had terrible connections with George and Erica and other little flings, all the way until I found myself, all of the ways until I met you. It took me decades, Arizona to get to the point in life that I always craved. Then I saw Sofia, and I realized how cruel life could be at times even to the young. I saw the little girl that I was trying to reach out for help, and I couldn't be the adult to help her".

Callie looked defeated as she simply shook her head and looked to Arizona. "You two did have a very instant connection. I know I kind of made things worse when I intruded, and I'm sorry for that".

"You were just doing your job," Callie defended.

"Yes, I know. But you both had a very instant draw to each other. She trusted you instantly. Do you think that you want to help all of the little girls like Sofia, or is it Sofia in particular that has a spell on you?" Arizona knows her girlfriend, she hates working in peds because she loves kids too much. That connection and tension that Callie and Sofia that day made Arizona look and Callie and her life with her differently. She thought that Callie was going to try to adopt Sofia on the spot and she would've let her. She realized even more so that she wanted that type of life with Callie, she wanted the happy family and the kids. She's not sure when, but it was something that she wanted.

Callie opened her mouth to answer her question, but she couldn't find the right words. "Maybe, when we get back, we can track down Sofia. That way you can check in on her and let her know that you are there for her. Maybe even be somewhat of the mentor that she may need. We will figure it out," Arizona suggested.

After talking for a few more moments and drinking a couple of glasses of wine that the pool boy had brought over to them Arizona needed to run off to the bathroom. She carefully climbed out of the hot tub and quickly wrapped herself in a towel to try to lock in the heat. Callie smiled to herself as Arizona ran off in desperate need of a bathroom, instructing her to stay in the hot tub, ensuring her that she will be right back.

Callie took another sip of the wine, enjoying the effects and she drifted off into a daydream. She didn't even notice when someone else entered the hot tub. "Hi, Jamie. Jamie Anders. I was waiting for my turn to come over and talk to you". A very pretty African American woman said as she smiled at Callie, holding her own glass of wine. "Uhm, hey?" Callie replied sounding confused, "Turn?"

The woman smiled and moved closer as Callie slid further away with each movement. Glancing up to locate her towel as she began planning her exit. "Yeah. My friends and I were just relaxing, and I saw you over here talking to the blonde chick. I had to come over and introduce myself".

"My girlfriend. The beautiful blond is my girlfriend" Callie said with a hint of annoyance.

"Well if you were my girlfriend, I definitely wouldn't just leave you out here alone when you look this amazing. Someone may just come and take my spot", Jamie said standing up to walk towards Callie.

But Callie stood up and grabbed a towel as she prepared to exit from the side of the hot tub. "You know. I'm going to go find her. Excuse me". But as Callie turned to step out the woman grabbed her casted hand with a firm grip. It didn't hurt but Callie knew better than to snatch it away, not wanting to risk damaging her surgical hand.

"Hey! Let go of me".

The woman grabbed a random sharpie and took off the cap. "Here, let me at least give you my phone number for when you change your mind". Callie didn't care anymore as she went to snatch her hand away. But before she could even think of it, Arizona came from behind Callie and climbed in. She swiftly grabbed Callie's hand blocking it from the marker as she stepped impossibly closer to Jamie.

"You really don't want to mess with me" Arizona challenged as she stared the woman in her eyes.

"Hey, I was just being friendly blondie. No need..." She was cut off by her friends running over and frantically apologizing and dragging her out of the hot tub. "Please don't mind her. We brought her out here to get over a breakup. She's had too much to drink" one of the friends said as the others dragged her away.

"Bye yellow bikini" Jamie yelled back as she was carried inside.

"Arizona, baby, I have no idea where she came from. One minute I was just daydreaming about you, and the next… I don't even know what just happened".

"Let's go," Arizona said in a soft voice before climbing out and wrapping herself in her towel, and grabbing her robe. She reached her hand out for Callie to grab as she helped her with her towel and rob as well. Callie couldn't read Arizona's face. She couldn't tell whether or not she was mad, and it was making her a bit anxious. She was really hoping that some random woman didn't ruin their whole weekend.

Arizona reached for Callie's hand as they began walking. Callie realized that Arizona began to pick up speed as they moved through the lobby. Even in the elevator, Arizona was impatiently tapping her foot until they reached their floor.

Once they made it to their suite Callie couldn't stay quiet anymore. "Arizona, please don't be mad. I really have no idea where she came from. I was trying to get out and go find you right as you showed up". Arizona walked over to the bed with Callie in tow and sat on the edge with Callie standing in front of her.

"I am not mad Calliope" Arizona subconsciously licked her lips and looked up at Callie with a look that she knew well. "You're not upset?" Callie asked again. "Nope," Arizona softly said as she pulled Callie closer to her and planted kisses slowly and deliberately on Callie's stomach and side; causing her to shiver under her touch. "I'm actually very, VERY turned on". Arizona said as she untied her sarong and dropped it to the floor. "You're turned on by someone else aggressively flirting with me?" Callie said with a hint of annoyance as she grabbed the robe and put it on. She didn't like things like that. She would hope her being uncomfortable wasn't something that her girlfriend would enjoy let alone be turned on by.

"Of course not! I wanted to punch her. Especially when she grabbed you. I didn't see the whole thing, but I saw how frustrated you looked and uncomfortable. She was so persistent. Honestly, if she didn't smell like the inside of a wine bottle, I really would have knocked her out". Callie relaxed after hearing that. Arizona reached inside of Callie's robe and slid her bikini bottoms down as she stepped out of them and straddled Arizona's lap with her arms around her neck. She kissed Arizona's lips, then her cheek, before licking and sucking on her neck. Arizona reached beneath the robe and gave Callie's behind a firm squeeze. "Do you want to know what it was that really turns me on about you?" Arizona asked turning her head to get Callie to look at her. "What's that?"

"You never fail to show how much you love me. Even when you have another hot woman in front of you when I'm not around, you stand up for me and defend our relationship. You weren't phased at all. Even when temptation is right at your door, you still chose me. The way you love me turns me on".

Callie smiled as she brushed a loose blond tendril behind Arizona's ear. "Trust me. There's nothing that could ever tempt me away from you". Callie kissed her a few times before looking in her lover's eyes as she dropped her robe and untied her bikini top, letting her full breast fall into Arizona's view.

She licked her lips as she watched the desire wash over Arizona's face. Arizona ran her hands up Callie's body making sure every inch of her palms made a deep connection with her warm smooth skin. As her hands made their way to her upper back, she pulled Callie forwards as eagerly sucked and licked one of her nipples. Callie moaned as she watched Arizona attach herself to her chest and could feel her center begin to drip. Arizona held her a little firmer as she turned and flipped them over. She laid between Callie's legs as she began to use one hand to massage her breasts and the other made its way down to her core. As her fingers parted her folds and played with her bundle of nerves Callie began to whimper as she spread her legs wider, welcoming Arizona in. Arizona slowly inserted two of her fingers deep into Callie as she moaned out her name. Arizona began to pump her fingers in and out of her before using her body to help enforce each thrust. Callie's back was arching in ecstasy as she gripped the sheets, moaning and cursing out her lover's name, not worried about who heard her.

Arizona held onto one of Callie's beautiful tan legs as she tried to go deeper, knowing Callie was getting close. She leaned down to her ear and said, "Just so we are clear, this is still mine". The dirty talk was just what Callie needed as her body jerked and she pulled Arizona close to kiss her trying to mask her screams. Arizona continued to kiss all over Callie's sweaty face as she whispered sweet, I love yous over and over again as Callie rode out her orgasm.

Callie was the first one to wake up. She peaked out of the huge windows and saw that the sun was setting. Once again, they made love and slept through their daily itinerary. She felt faints breaths on her back and knew that Arizona must still be asleep. She lightly climbed out of bed and made her way to the luxurious bathroom.

She began to run a bubble bath in the giant tub as she observed her naked body in the mirror. In past relationships, she was made to feel insecure about body type and size. She never expressed it to friends or let it show, but in her private life, she was always so hesitant to bear it all when being intimate. Then Arizona came along. Arizona always made it clear and known that she loved everything about Callie's body, without even knowing that was a sensitive spot for her. It caused Callie to fall in love all over again with herself as well.

Callie climbed in the tub of bubbles as she washed the remnants of her love-making away. She tied her hair up as she sunk deeper into the warm water and looked up at the beautiful chandelier.

"Calliope?" Arizona called out still sounding as if she could use a little more time for sleep. "I'm in here" Callie called back. Arizona walked in completely naked and rubbing her eyes, warranting a huge smile from Callie. "Did we really ditch all of our plans for the day again?" Arizona laughed in disbelief as she knelt down next to the tub and laid her head in arms on the rim. Callie sweetly touched her sleepy face and gave her a quick kiss on her nose. "Yes, we did. But we still have time to go to the bonfire they are hosting downstairs," Callie reminded. "That does sound really nice. I should probably get cleaned up".

Arizona was still very sleepy and was not in the mood to necessarily even stand up, and Callie took notice.

"Come in here, my love. I will wash you up".

Arizona lifted her head up and gave her a look. "Calliope, if we go again then I may not be able to do anything at all for the next 24 hours". Callie just laughed as she urged Arizona to stand. "I promise, I will not try anything until we get back from the bonfire". Arizona just rolled her eyes and laughed as she slowly climbed in and sat between Callie's legs.

Callie tenderly began washing her back, neck, and arms. "Did you have a nightmare?" Callie asked, still wondering what woke Arizona up out of her sleep. Arizona leaned further back into Callie, resting the back of her head on her shoulder. This also allowed Callie to wash the front of her without her turning around. "No, not really. I woke up for a split second and realized that you weren't there. That caused me to really wake up".

"Ah I see," Callie cooed.

"Every time we take a bath together and we just enjoy our moment to just exhale, it brings me back to that first night. I was so nervous to ask you to come home with me. The situation was so complicated, but I had this feeling for you that I just couldn't shake for the life of me. The look in your eyes and the anger that radiated off of you when Erica called me a plane crash victim…I knew. I knew that you were feeling the same things for me that I was feeling for you. I knew then that I was going to fall in love with you. It scared me because I already felt so deeply for you. But then we took a bath. You were so gentle, so attentive, so careful, and meaningful with every touch. Every word that you said, you meant it. I knew that you meant it. After that night I wasn't scared of how I felt for you anymore, I was scared of losing you. I want you in my life for as long as possible. I love you so my Calliope. I don't know what I would do or where I would be without you". Both women cried as they sat there, skin to skin just surrounded by each other's love.

They made it down to the bonfire in their loungewear and joined the others in the giant chairs and blankets around the fire. They leaned into each other, just enjoy the other's presence and as they listened to the stories of the people around them. They made smores and drank wine. Kissed when no one was watching and gave each other blissful touches. Each woman just filled with gratitude.
