Chapter 4
End of the Game
Once they opened the door to the mansion's last room, Unikitty and her friends found themselves face to face with the Score Creeper. As they got closer they noticed that the Score Creeper didn't seem worried in the least. In fact, he just kept smiling as if he was ready to spring a trap at any second.
"I'm impressed that you were able to make it this far!" The Score Creeper gave a sinister chuckle. "You must really want the candy."
"Yeah, and we're going to get it too! We didn't come this far for nothing!" said Hawkodile.
"Unfortunately, there is still one last challenge for you to survive, but I doubt you would win this time. Now to summon my last monster!"
Suddenly, the mansion began to shake as the group of friends heard heavy footsteps stomping towards them. Towering about them was a giant knight, wielding a heavy axe in its hands.
The knight raised the axe in the air before slamming it onto the floor. Thankfully, Unikitty and her friends managed to dodge the axe at the last second. The destruction caused by the knight made stones of debris fall from the ceiling. Thinking fast, Hawkodile grabbed a big chunk of debris and threw it at the knight. Unfortunately, the knight didn't even flinch from the impact.
"Nice try, but this knight's armor is impervious to any kind of damage. You can't do a thing to stop it!" The Score Creeper taunted.
"Oh no! What are we going to do! I don't think we can beat it!" Puppycorn spoke up.
The knight continued to cause destruction around the room when Dr. Fox noticed how unstable the pillars surrounding the knight were. She soon came up with an idea before she got her friends' attention.
"Everyone, try to get the knight to destroy the pillars around it. We can try to use its own strength against it!"
"Good idea, Dr. Fox! Come on everyone! Let's hide behind the pillars." Unikitty ran behind one of the pillars, which the knight destroyed with great strength.
"Hey, over here!" Puppycorn got the knight's attention by walking behind another pillar.
Soon, everyone distracted the knight and the Score Creeper finally caught on to their plan. He looked in surprise as more and more pillars were destroyed.
"What? No! Stop, you dummy! This is what they want you to do!" The Score Creeper tried to warn the knight.
It was too late though since the knight destroyed the last pillar. Rocks started to fall before the entire ceiling landed on the knight. Dazed from the impact of the ceiling, the knight fell to the ground. This caused the entire mansion to shake and crumble around everyone.
A flash of white light surrounded Unikitty and her friends, and they soon found themselves back at the castle. It took a while for them to get used to their surroundings and figure out what was going on.
"Is it finally over? Did we do it?" Richard asked, looking around the room.
"I think we won, guys! We just beat Spooky Mansion!" Unikitty exclaimed.
Once they realized that they won, Unikitty and her friends cheered in victory.
"No! I can't believe this!" Everyone turned around to see the Score Creeper, who was teleported to the castle as well. "I had everything thought out! I was sure that I was going to steal your souls this time!" The Score Creeper gave a sigh, before he said, "Perhaps I'm losing my touch."
Everyone stood in awkward silence before Puppycorn walked up to the Score Creeper. "Excuse me, aren't you forgetting something?" he asked, happily wagging his tail.
The Score Creeper raised his head to look at Puppycorn. "Huh? Oh, right. Fine, a deal's a deal!"
With that, the Score Creeper used his powers to fill the room with candy. Everyone gazed at the candy in awe before Puppycorn jumped into the pile of candy, ready to eat as much as he can. Soon, everyone else began to eat the candy as well.
Even though the group of friends didn't got trick or treating this year, they didn't mind this time because they not only had all the candy they could eat, but they also went on an amazing adventure. As everyone was celebrating, the Score Creeper sat down, wondering where his plan went wrong.
"How did this happen? This game was foolproof. Maybe I should rethink my plans." The Score Creeper said to himself.
"Aw! Cheer up, Score Creeper! Why don't you join our Halloween party?" Unikitty asked, offering the Score Creeper a piece of candy.
Seeing that he had nothing left to lose, the Score Creeper gave in as he gave a slight smile. "Oh, why not? It's not like I have anything better to do."
"That's the spirit!" Unikitty exclaimed.
Throughout the rest of the night, Unikitty and the others celebrated Halloween, eating as much candy as possible. This ended up being the best Halloween ever.
