Vanya blinked seeing Five stand before her, no older than the day he had left. He seemed just as surprised to see her as she was to see him.

But there was always a chance... A chance that he wasn't her Five.

"Prove it. Why should I believe you're Five?" she remarked. She watched as a familiar expression came over his face that spoke of distain and disbelief. She heard a popping noise as he vanished into thin air, only a slight shimmer of blue in the air was left behind. The yelp behind her told her exactly where he landed. Right in front of Jumoke.

"Jumoke, get off of Five," she said as she turned around. She smirked seeing Jumoke jump off of her somehow unaged brother. "You couldn't have mentioned that you were a big fan of peanut butter and marshmallow sandwiches?"

"Wait, this little fella is Five?" Jumoke asked. Five stood, irritation having grown on his face.

"Vanya, I wasn't expecting you."

"You came to my house and you weren't expecting me?"

Logically, it was a reasonable statement.

"I didn't know it was your place. A friend recommended it to me," Five answered, his gaze wandering, noting the security measures in the house, his eyes eventually falling on the African American man, Jumoke. "Not him."

Jumoke snorted.

"Which friend? We," Jumoke gestured between himself and Vanya, "Kind of know a lot of people."

"I don't need to answer to you," Five snarked. Vanya shrugged her shoulders.

"Look, Five. It's okay. Why don't you get something to eat? No need to stunt your growth from a lack of food."

"Sounds peachy," Five seethed as pleasantly as he could.

"Any requests?"

"Coffee. Black."

"You know Vanya, I now see the resemblance."

"Shut it Jumoke. I'll go put on a pot, Five."

Five followed Vanya into the kitchen, Jumoke lingering behind him.

Five didn't know what Delores was thinking sending him to Vanya. Sure, she had changed since he had last seen her, but how could she help- Her book!

"So, I read your book."

"Yeah? What'd you think of it?"

"You've changed. A lot. I never took you to be a social butterfly," Five responded.

"Ah, that. It took a while, but Jumoke was far more social than I was. He really made it possible, especially the first few months."

"Hey, your past those months Vanya," Jumoke remarked.

"You met a lot of people like us."

"Yeah. And you still haven't aged a day. How is that possible Five? Did you actually-"

"Time travel. Yeah. I did."

"Congrats. I hope the future is everything you ever hoped they would be. Shame you can't rub it in dad's face huh?"

"Future's a crap hole-"

"You've been on the internet I see," Vanya commented dryly. Five's eyes narrowed in his usual distain.

"You don't get it-"

"What don't I get Five?"

"I went a lot further into the future. I saw the end of the world."

Jumoke and Vanya were silent. Vanya took in a deep breath.

"Let me make the coffee before you start explaining."

"Sounds good," Jumoke spoke before Five could. Five didn't disagree. He wanted that coffee. And explaining what he had been through to people who wouldn't understand was not something he was eager to do before he had caffeine.

Granted, caffeine was a luxury after the years he had lived. He had lived with alcohol for far longer.

Post Apocalyptical event

"You drink?"

"I'll survive," Five responded as he took the flask from Delores.

"It's not about surviving, it's about making things a little easier."

Five rolled his eyes and took a sip of the flask's contents. He choked tasting and feeling the burn of alcohol.

"Oi! Don't waste it kid!"

"Ugh. How can you drink this stuff?"

"Experience. You'll get it one day."

"Delightful."

"It's safer than the water right now. Well, unless we were to..."

"Unless we were to what?" Five questioned.

"Five, it's not something I'm too thrilled about. There are things that happened, just before the world ended that I would want to change. More than anything."

"What does that have to do with water?"

Delores looked down at her hands.

"You ever had to deal with a cult before Five?"

"A cult?"

"Yeah. Well, one of them. Those Doomsday preppers."

"The same ones that took your legs?"

"Very funny Five. If anything, they might be able to help us get them back."

"What makes you say that?"

"Because they're like us."

Ah, it's been a while, but here is a small update for something.
