(Quick A/N: Yes, there will be more to this story! Not sure how much but we are just getting started! Please excuse any tiny mistakes. I normally write on quotev so I'm still learning this site. Also I watch MLB in all languages so if I mix up the transformation or detransformation words that's my bad, lol! Now back to what you actually came for-)
"Marinette, I really don't think this is a good idea." Tikki began as she and Marinette entered the latter's bedroom.
"But Tikki, this is like a dream come true. They're the same person. He wants me."
"Don't you feel upset at all that Marinette was a second choice?" Tikki questioned as the other kwamis gathered around.
"What's going on?"
"What's happening?"
"Come on don't keep it to yourselves!"
The kwamis each chimed in with some variation of "tell us!" And Marinette shook her head.
"I don't feel bad at all. He wanted me as ladybug. Then his first choice after was Marinette. They're both me. He chose me twice. And he was honest about his intentions like I told him to be." She turned to the kwamis gathered around. "Adrien is Chat Noir. He asked me out. And then he asked me to hook up with him."
"Did you?" Kaalki asked.
"Not yet."
"What if you're wrong and he's not Chat Noir?"
"Is he?" Marinette stared hard at Tikki, who nervously hovered for a moment without saying anything. "Thought so."
"Marinette. You could reveal your secret identity."
"You never tried to stop me from hanging out with Adrien before!" Marinette huffed and sat down in her computer chair.
"You didn't know before. There was much less risk when you were both oblivious."
"Tikki. I'm smart. I know how to keep my secret."
"I know you're smart, Marinette. You're the best ladybug I've ever had. But your identities must remain a secret."
"Do they?"
"Of course they do!"
"But I'm the guardian now. Don't I make the rules? Can't I just tell him?" Marinette gave Tikki puppy dog eyes and Barkk shook her head.
"That's my thing."
"Marinette," Tikki began. "Please think about this." Tikki retired to the tiny bed Marinette had made her and Marinette took a moment to think.
Despite the reasons that Tikki had listed, all Marinette could think about was Adrien. Would he still feel the same about her if she told him? She had rejected him so many times. Maybe knowing she and ladybug were one and the same would make him feel mad, upset or betrayed. She sighed.
"Okay Tikki. I won't tell him my identity. But I am going to go through with his offer. I want to."
"Are hook ups usually this premeditated?" Wayzz asked, mostly confused by everything going on.
"Not usually." Marinette sighed and got started on her homework, signaling to the kwamis that their talk was over.
~•••••~
"Good job, kid. You reeled her in."
"I can't believe she said yes."
"Kid, you're a model. And rich. Of course she said yes."
"Marinette isn't like that. She's sweet and honest."
"If you were this eager to have Marinette why didn't you already?" Plagg questioned as he flew to his cheese stash.
"A movie theater isn't very romantic, Plagg."
"Hook ups aren't about romance, Adrien." Plagg sighed, rolling his eyes. His holder really was a dweeb.
"Not usually, no. But Marinette deserves more than the back of the theatre or the bathroom."
"Strangely you've thought this through." Plagg shoved a wedge of cheese in his mouth and swallowed it whole.
"Of course I have. I don't want my getting over ladybug to hurt Marinette. I like Marinette. She's a very good friend."
"Of course she is." Plagg groaned, slapping a tiny paw to his face. His holder really was oblivious.
"Look!" Adrien suddenly walked towards his bedroom windows, looking down at the street below.
A man dressed in a toga surrounded by flying books was harassing a group of people below, hurling books at whoever dared get too close.
"I am The Historian!" He yelled. "Come and appreciate history with me!"
"We should hurry. Plagg, claws out!"
"Wait! Just one more bite of cheeeeeseee!"
