Avatar Korra was NOT in a good mood rather than spending the afternoon with her boyfriend since Tenzin had FINALLY given her the day of from Airbending practice which her in humble opinion was no longer necessary after all she used airbending to defeat Amon for Spirit's sake but nope she was stuck in some useless meeting which she never would even attend if it did not involve her people. Even though the world saw the Water tribe as one collective body which was easy since the Chief of The Northern Tribe ruled both in theory thanks to imbalanced trade agreements made in the wake of the 100 year war.

Korra knew better the North and South were VERY different and this was the main reason why she had agreed to come to this meeting,to bridge the very wide divide between her people. Regardless of the division between the two tribes Korra was the pride and joy all of water tribe people if anyone could bridge the gap she could.

"Avatar Korra" Kuruk began in a grandiose voice" "I wish to express my joy that you have come to this important meeting for our people. We are all here to reconcile the division in our people after all we are all sons and daughters of La and Tiu so there no is need for us to have any animosity towards each other". All of the Northerners nodded in agreement

"There would be no issues if you fucking Northerners would stop taking all of our oil." One of the Southern delegates named Harok exclaimed and you can tell Unaloq to stick his spirit worshiping crap up his ass. They didn't do a damn thing for us during the 100 year war why should we give a damn about them?"

"You were blessed by the spirits to have one of the members of your tribe discover the avatar and even marry him. How can you curse the spirits for such good fortune?" This statement surprised Korra she never knew Kuruk to be a spiritual man. Evidently her uncle had anticipated such a response and had coached his ambassador on what to say.

"And what good has that done for us? After Chief Sokka passed away you northerners have been pushing on us more and more demeaned we give you more of our oil and minerals in exchange for your so called nation building aid and then you have to call to try and impose Unaloq's spirit worshiping laws on us". The Southerner in Korra agreed with what was being said by Harok while she had no personal animosity towards her uncle and had met him a few times she understood why the members of her tribe were so upset. Quite frankly she was convinced a war would have already broken out between the two tribes if they were not all water benders.

"Chief Unaloq's intentions are"-"Fuck him"yelled a southerner interrupting Kuruk and well that did it a massive shouting match broke out which then devolved into fistacffs and had they been firebenders the room would have gone up in smoke with all the fighting. Fortunately they were just waterbenders and since there was no large source of water for them to use only punches were thrown.

Finally Korra had had enough of this and with a powerful gush of wind across the room got their attention. "I am not going to waste my time in a shouting match when I was ask to be here by all of you for the good of our people". She said in a loud angry voice. "If all you are going to fight like children then I will leave I have got better things to do than be a babysitter for a bunch of immature thickheaded Northerners" The Southerners cheered for their avatar at this statement but she wasn't done.

"And you" she said pointing a finger at the southern delegation. " You all came here with ill will. All of you wanted to fight and not try to come to any sort of agreement, as a member of the water tribe I want peace between us but I am the Avatar first and foremost and I will NOT be bias here. Now I will give you a few minutes to cool off before we begin again and if you start arguing again like children I will leave. I have other things I could be doing right now and none of them involve any of you.

All of the delegates from the North and South grew quiet at her words and anger and sat back down in their seats without a word. Hey knew she had had a temper and fear she would use violence on them if they challenged her. Seeing this Kuruk went to her.

"Avatar Korra it is possible we could speak alone I have a message from you uncle for you"

"We aren't leaving this room".She snapped back. "Of course we will just go to the front of the room". As he led her away from the table the all of the delgrates began to sit down and spoke among themselves in the native water tribe language thinking the avatar could not understand them since she was raised in the compound of the white lotus. They actually found something they could agree on and it was given to them by the avatar herself. They all knew what she would rather be doing or rather who she would rather be-"With That Filthy half breed firebender".One of the northerners hissed in the native tongue of the water tribe to his neighbor who nodded in agreement.

"Yes she would rather be that half breed's whore than work for her people" A third member of the delegation chimed in. "She has forgotten what those savages did to our people, they are our enemy yet she lies in the bed of one."

"How do you think we feel? a member of the south spoke up. Firebenders destroyed out tribe and yet she has the gaul to have a firebender for a boyfriend. A half breed mongrel of a firebender at that. Streets are cleaner than his blood.

"Don't forget he is a street rat a second southerner said. if she wasn't the avatar she would be a shame on our tribe. How can her father allow this? Our beautiful avatar in love with a street rat half breed firebender the shame of it all the disgrace why".

"I can understand you". Korra shouted interrupting the rant, her voice full of anger and even if they could not hear the avatar it was clear she was furious at them for their comments about Mako. Her entire body was shaking in rage as she fought to not to inflict serious bodily harm for their insults to Mako but as she was able to remind herself. "It won't help him think of him attacking them won't help him"

She was finally able to calm down but as did she turned to Kuruk. "It appears my work here is done".

"What" he said in surprise.

"My purpose today was to help you find something you can agree on so you can build on it for your negotiations and I have succeeded you all found something in common." "And what was that?" Kuruk said his voice filled with fear knowing what her answer was going to be.

"You all agree about my half breed fire bender boyfriend" Her voice full of venom for all the other people in the room "and you can spend the whole day just agreeing with one another about him. You do that and you will solve these issues in no time".

With that final statement of contempt and hate towards them the avatar left.

"The nerve of these bastards acting as if only firebenders are evil don't they know Amon and his brother were waterbenders. She thought angrily to herself. "Well let them fight among themselves I don't care anymore it's not like my uncle and dad are going to war"

With that thought she exited the embassy of the NWT and went to the police station she knew Mako should be there right now and even at his place of work just spending time with the man she loved would indeed be a much better use of her time.
