Hi, my darlings~
Today I bring you another story because I'm on fire (nah, the truth is that I have a couple of ideas for fanfics, so I want to write them before I forget?).
WARNING: This story contains a reference to past abuse (from Bora to Juvia). It's mentioned lightly when Juvia starts to explain how her relationship with him was. Just know it in case it can trigger you.
Personally, I think we don't pay enough attention to Juvia's past. She was rejected time after time since she was a child, so I think it's quite evident that all that trauma didn't magically dissapear once she joined Fairy Tail. That's why I wrote this fanfic and will be writing at least two more focusing on her.
In this case I wanted to mention the possible abuse Bora caused to her. Remember that he psychologically abused her ("why it's always raining with you?!") and slaved women in the past (in the manga, he even marked them with fire, wtf), so I don't think my description of him is bad :D
Anyways, I hope you enjoy the fanfic, love Juvia and leave comments so I can now my writing is not shit!
Juvia could get used to waking up like that. The soft feeling of Gray's lips over her skin, covering her body in kisses. She let out a small moan indicating him to continue, but her lover had stopped his motion and changed the position in bed, now covering her body with his but barely touching.
"Gray-sama?" she opened her eyes to take a look at him, surprised to see that his expression was one of confusion and worry. "Is something wrong?"
"How did this happen?" he asked, his fingers kindly touching one particular spot in the low part of her right breast.
Oh. Juvia had almost forgotten about that. She had only a few scars on her body, and that small one had only been observed by two men, the one that gave it to her, and now Gray. They had made love for the first time the night before, and between all the wanting and needing it was completely normal that Gray hadn't noticed it.
"Juvia?"
"I'm sorry, Gray-sama" she said after a few minutes, realizing she zoned out. "That scar is from an accident long ago" her voice trembled for a moment and then she added, very low: "Bora made it."
"What?!" the ice mage sat up cautiously, looking at her with surprise, anger and… worry? Something told Juvia that they weren't going to continue with the love making that morning. "What do you mean Bora made it? Isn't he the dumb fire mage Natsu beat up ages ago?"
"Mm… Yes, that's him" she admitted, biting her lip at the memory. "Juvia dated him for a while, but he broke up with her at the end."
"That man was stupid enough to break up with you? Why?" he snorted. "Wait, forget about that… What did he do to you to leave this mark?"
Gray's fingers wandered again over the scar, his touch soft and careful. Juvia smiled slightly and moved her hand to cover Gray's, touching the scar too. The expression in the ice mage's face was curious, but mostly angry. Juvia wanted to change that, to forget about the mark and continue satisfying their desires, but her Gray-sama made her a question and she should answer it.
"Gray-sama promises he won't get angrier and go find Bora after Juvia tells him?"
"Juvia…"
"Promise me, Gray-sama" she insisted. "That you will stay with Juvia after she tells you the story."
Gray looked at her unconvinced. It was obvious that he didn't want to agree to her terms. However, after a few more seconds in which Juvia made clear she wasn't going to back down, he let out a sigh and nodded. Only then the water mage moved to incorporate, sitting in front of her boyfriend and taking a deep breath. She had hoped to avoid thinking about that scar ever again, but it was evident it wasn't something she could simply ignore and forget.
Gray waited patiently. He wasn't used to it. Normally, Juvia would immediately answer any question he made, but not this time. Obviously, the story behind the scar was hard on Juvia, something she didn't want to talk about. That was what worried Gray the most.
"As… As Gray-sama knows, Juvia dated Bora years ago, before she even joined Phantom Lord" she started to say, her voice quiet. "He left her after a while, mostly because he was tired of Juvia's rain, but also… Also because after the incident Juvia started to express her opinion on some matters to him, and he didn't like that."
"The incident? What did he do?"
Juvia hesitated, surely thinking about how to continue the story without making him angrier. That only made him worry more.
"Bora has always been… possessive with his girls. He is not a good man and he hurt a lot of women" the water mage said. Gray repressed a sigh; he knew that already, Lucy had told him about how the fire mage used to make slaves out of women. Fantastic, now that he remembered that, he was even more upset. "During the time Bora dated Juvia, she had to see him flirting with other girls, but Juvia couldn't even talk to other boys unless he was with her. It was annoying and unfair. One day, Juvia couldn't find the new hotel in which Bora was staying, so she asked a young man in the street. When Bora saw them together, he wasn't happy about it, and he… um… he…"
Gray could see how Juvia's hands were clenching the sheets, her voice trembling while talking. He couldn't believe what he was listening to, the direction the story had taken. He didn't want to. Slowly so he wouldn't spook her, Gray took her hand in his and brought them up to kiss her fingers. She needed to know that she was safe.
"Thanks, Gray-sama" she murmured before continuing. "So… Um… Bora took Juvia to his room, and they had been intimate before, but this time… this time it was different. He was more aggressive, more possessive, more… violent. Before Juvia could know it, he lighted up his fingers and touched her right here" her fingers left Gray's hand to touch the scar in her breast, a small "X" with curved edges, just like the tattoo Bora had over his eyebrow. "Juvia was angry after that. She started to realize that Bora was not a good man, but she wasn't brave enough to leave him. She didn't want to be alone again" she admitted. Gray couldn't avoid grimacing. It was disgusting. "I'm sorry, Gray-sama. Juvia wishes she could erase it, maybe if she asks Wendy… Juvia understands if you don't want to touch her until then. It must be unpleasant."
While talking, the water mage's hands had moved to the sheets so she could use them to cover her chest. Gray stopped her immediately, opening his arms to hug her tightly. He was angry. He wanted to go find Bora and beat him up. But that was not what his girlfriend needed. And she was always first in his thoughts.
"Don't say that" he murmured in her ear. "There is no way I could stop wanting to touch you" the ice mage felt her shudder and a small smile formed in his lips. Then he parted a little, just enough so their eyes could meet and she could see his words were true. "I'm just angry because of everything Bora did to you."
"You don't need to worry, Gray-sama, Juvia is fine now" she assured him, the beginning of a sad smile forming in her mouth.
"I know, but that doesn't mean what he did wasn't wrong. For Mavis, he marked you as if you were his property!" Gray felt Juvia stiffen at his words, her expression changing to one of discomfort. OK, maybe it was time for a change of tone. "Just promise me this, Juvia," he said. "If I ever start to behave like that, you will go find Gajeel so he can beat me up, deal?"
That did it.
"But, Gray-sama would never hurt Juvia!" his girlfriend stated, crossing her arms.
The ice mage disagreed. He had hurt her numerous times in the past, both physical and psychologically. He had also asked for forgiveness, of course, and promised to himself that he would become a better man so he could be worthy of her. So the only thing he could do now was stay true to his words.
"Gray-sama…?"
Oh, dammit, he had spaced out.
"Sorry" he apologized. "It's just that I want you to be happy."
"Juvia is happy with Gray-sama, happier than she has ever been in her entire life" his girlfriend responded, no doubt in her voice. "But…" she added, bringing her mouth to his ear, "she was even happier an hour ago, when she woke up with Gray-sama's lips wandering all over Juvia's body."
Well, he could definitely do something about that. Smiling, he turned his head so he would kiss her. First in the lips. Then the cheeks. The neck. The clavicle. The breasts. The scars. Everything. Just because everything about her body was perfect.
He would worry about Bora later, probably inviting Gajeel and Natsu to the beating too. Gray was quite sure both of them would say yes, since the first one was the closest thing Juvia could have to a brother and Natsu would more likely join any battle, especially for a nakama.
But first and always, Juvia. Her, her desires, her body and those perfect moans with his name on them every time he touched a sensible spot. He just loved her more than anything in the world.
EXTRA:
The next morning Juvia arrived a little late to the guild. Her Gray-sama hadn't slept with her that night and she had found it difficult to fall asleep, so she had woken up late. After asking Mira for a drink, she walked to the table occupied by Lucy, Gajeel and Levy. The guild was suspiciously quiet, with Gray and Natsu talking over another table, no indications of a fight.
"Hey, Juvia! Have you read this?" Lucy told her after she sat up by her side, a newspaper in her hands. "I think Lyon had an encounter with Bora last night. Apparently, he had been arrested again after being found beaten up and frozen. I hope Lyon is fine, though. There was also fire damage, so probably Bora tried to defend himself. Anyways, he had it coming; the stupid of him had fallen into crime again."
Juvia's eyes looked at Gajeel, whose hand was on top of Levy's belly, supposedly focused on their babies. However, the iron dragon slayer sent her a side-look while grinning. Of course it hadn't been Lyon.
"Gray-sama!" she exclaimed, getting up.
The ice mage smiled at her innocently over his shoulder. Juvia should have known that all the love making the day before and her words assuring him that she was fine —it had happened a long time ago, after all—, weren't going to be enough. Even if they had spent a lot of time giving each other small and temporal marks all over their bodies.
"Don't smile like that, Gray-sama!" the water mage warned him. A small "gihi" behind her made Juvia turn around to look at Gajeel. "You too, Gajeel-kun, I know you participated in this! And don't try to escape, Natsu-kun, I can see you!"
While Lucy and Levy looked at her quite confused, the boys prepared to receive a scold from the water mage. However, Juvia couldn't avoid smiling at the end. She hadn't had any feeling of protection back then; no one cared about her. Fairy Tail was different. Her nakamas would always be there for Juvia, even if it was for something that happened long ago. That was Fairy Tail.
And that's all!
I hope it was good and you enjoyed it. Until the next fic!
